The biggest-ever BMW Motorrad stand will feature every model from the range alongside a World Superbike, the C evolution prototype and much more.
Motorcycle Live, open from 24 November – 02 December at the NEC in Birmingham, will be the first opportunity to see the full 2013 range of BMW motorcycles anywhere in the UK, including the all-new BMW R 1200 GS, the exciting new F 800 GT tourer and the stunning HP4 Carbon supersports bike.
The all-new, 600-square-metre stand is the BMW Motorrad’a biggest ever, and is split into six exciting areas, each showcasing the 2013 BMW range of motorcycles, activities and services on offer. In addition, in a joint promotion with Motorcycle Live, BMW Motorrad is offering riders the chance to enter a competition to win an incredible new R 1200 GS.
The highlight of the Enduro area is naturally the new R 1200 GS, the most advanced adventure motorcycle ever built, and riders can enter a competition to win this model via the touchscreen computers on the stand, or via www.motorcyclelive.co.uk/competitions. The full range of GS bikes will also be on display, including the new F 700 and F 800 GS models.
Superbike fans should seek out the Sports area, home to the incredible new HP4 and HP4 Carbon, MCN’s Machine of the Year – the S 1000 RR – and the new K 1300 S ’30 Year Edition’. In addition, show visitors will be able to see a stunning World Superbike-spec BMW S 1000 RR race bike on the stand.
The Touring area will host the UK debut of the new-for-2013 F 800 GT middleweight tourer, the award-winning K 1600 GT and GTL six-cylinder motorcycles and the UK’s best-selling touring bike: the R 1200 RT boxer-twin.
The Urban Mobility area features the ground-breaking C evolution prototype electric maxi-scooter, which hit the headlines when it was launched during the Olympic Games, as well as the C 600 Sport and C 650 GT, BMW Motorrad’s first ever maxi-scooters.
The Roadster area includes four exciting naked motorcycles: the F 800 R parallel twin, the R 1200 R and Classic boxer-twin models, and the striking inline-four K 1300 R.
Visitors to the World of BMW area will be able to pick up a copy of the brand-new 2013 Activity Brochure, speak to staff and instructors from BMW Rider Training, Tours and Off Road Skills and Track Activities, and plan your next riding adventure.
The stand will include the three ’90 Years Special Edition’ models of the R 1200 GS Adventure, R 1200 RT and R 1200 R, which celebrate nine decades since the launch of the first ever BMW motorcycle in 1923. Show-goers can also explore a selection of the latest BMW Rider Equipment and BMW Motorcycle Accessories, and speak to staff from BMW Financial Services and BMW Insurance.
The show stand, as ever, will be staffed by experienced motorcycle enthusiasts from BMW Motorrad, who will be on hand to answer any questions about the bikes, accessories, finance and aftersales support.
