Indian Motorcycles At Autumn Ardingly ShowIndian theme for Classic Bike Show & Jumble at Ardingly on Sunday 26th October.

The Ardingly Classic Bike Show & Jumble returns to the South of England Showground on Sunday 26th October 2025 – rounding off the season with a celebration of one of motorcycling’s most iconic names: Indian.

This autumn’s theme shines the spotlight on the legendary American marque, with a special talk by Allan Ford, who ran and rode the Motodrome Wall of Death using Indian twin-cylinder machines. Allan will present his Wall of Death story – complete with slides – and is bringing his own 1926 Indian, once used in the attraction. The session will be compered by technical expert Rick Parkington, who prevously worked at Edinburgh’s Motolux Indian workshop.

The Indian Riders Motorcycle Club will also be in attendance, bringing along rare and fascinating examples of the breed, while Karl Foulkes-Halbard of Filching Manor Motor Museum adds to the line-up with his veteran Indian single and twin.

Of course, Ardingly isn’t just about the show theme: the halls and grounds will be packed with the usual variety of club stands, private show entries, autojumble and traders, with much of the action under cover to ensure a great day out whatever the autumn weather brings.

Motorcycles can be entered online at www.elkpromotions.co.uk/show-your-bikeand a free pass will be emailed for both owner and machine. All pre-1980 makes and models are welcome.

Thanks to the generosity of a donor who wishes to remain anonymous, the Next Gen Award returns, offering a trophy and £100 cash prize for the Best Under-30 on a pre-1980 machine. Last year’s winner was Maria Coombes from Kent, secretary of the BSA Bantam Club’s Kent Branch, who impressed with her 1955 125cc Bantam D1.

For those looking to finish off projects, the all-motorcycle autojumble and trade stands offer plenty of choice, in the main Jubilee Hall and outdoors.

‘Workshop Clear-Out’ stalls are available for just £20 per plot (pre-book only), while the free-to-display BikeMart area is perfect for anyone looking to buy or sell complete machines.

As always, a selection of hand-picked caterers will be on site to keep visitors fuelled.
