Following a record-breaking 2017 event, the annual Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show roars back into the ExCeL Centre next week (16th-18th Feb) bigger than ever. 24 of the world’s leading manufacturers will be showcasing the very latest new models alongside edge-of-the-seat live action displays, exotic customs and incredible racing memorabilia – including a special display of nine of the most influential MotoGP machines in history and TT legend John McGuinness’ first appearance as a Norton rider!
The ExCeL centre in London’s Dockland will once again play host to a celebration of motorcycling next week, when 24 of the world’s leading manufacturers descend on the capital to showcase the very latest new models. Covering every format of biking, currently confirmed to be in attendance are Aprilia, BMW, Brough, CCM, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Herald, Honda, Husqvarna, Indian, Kawasaki, KTM, Llexeter, Moto Corsa, Moto Morini, MP3, Mutt Motorcycles, Norton, Piaggio, Suzuki, Triumph, Vespa, Yamaha and Zero Motorcycles. British manufacturer Triumph will be using the event to give their just launched Speed Triple S and RS machines the first worldwide public viewing, as well as giving fans a rare treat by firing up their future Moto2 machine in a daily explosion of noise!
Fresh from announcing his recent signing to ride the stunning Norton SG7 at the 2018 Isle of Man TT, 23-time winner, John McGuinness, is opening his own pub for the weekend where he’ll be pulling pints, meeting fans and chatting about his incredible career and his move to the iconic British manufacturer.
Alongside the latest 2018 machines, on Saturday 17th Coys of Kensington will be returning to host a special auction that will see rare machines going under the hammer, including Brad Pitt’s custom Triumph Bonneville. Visitors will also be able to see over thirty of the best cafe racers, trackers, scramblers and bobbers from across Europe, exquisitely restored machines in the new Barn Finds feature as well as meet some of the most intrepid explorers at the Adventure Village.
Taking over the centre of the show will be the all-new free live action show; Michelin Thunderdrome. Based on the boardtrack races of the 1920’s, the display will see Superbike legend and former I’m A Celebrity winner Carl Fogarty returning to the track as he goes head to head with the likes of Neil Hodgson, Chris Walker, Ruben Xaus, James Whitham and current British Superbike stars Richard Cooper, Lee Jackson and Tom and Tim Neave in a high-speed race around a 45 degree banked corner.
For the first time, race fans will also be able to see nine of the most successful and influential machines in MotoGP history in the Michelin Grand Prix Icons Paddock. With seven title-winning machines, the incredible display spans 38 years of racing. The full collection includes;
– Barry Sheene’s 1979 Suzuki XR27
– Freddie Spencer’s 1983 Honda RS500
