BMW Motorrad UK Launches New R nineT Sport
Brushed aluminium tank and high-level Akrapovič sport silencer add to heritage roadster appeal.
Customers in the UK will be able to order the new BMW R nineT Sport, which arrives at BMW Motorrad Centres as part of the New Season Launch on 06 February 2016. It will go on sale at £12,990 OTR.
Launched in 2014 to celebrate 90 years of BMW Motorrad, the retro-styled BMW R nineT became an instant icon among owners and collectors.
The UK-only R nineT Sport offers a brushed aluminium finish as an alternative to the timeless black of the original model, enhanced with a selection of high quality accessories from the BMW Motorrad range.
2016 BMW R nineT Sport highlights:
- Special hand-brushed, gloss-varnished aluminium fuel tank with smoothed welding seams (also available with visible seams as a zero cost option)
- Akrapovič titanium sport silencer with high mount
- Hand-brushed aluminium rear seat hump
- Heated grips
- On-board computer
- Daytime running light
- BMW Motorrad ABS
- Clear indicators with LED bulbs
- £12,990 OTR
Featuring a beautiful special aluminium fuel tank available in two versions: hand-brushed, gloss-varnished and with visible or smoothed welding seams, the R nineT Sport offers owners the chance to begin customising their motorcycle from the very start.
A high-level titanium Akrapovič sport silencer replaces the original stacked exhaust silencer and adds to the sleek café racer styling. The pillion footrests and seat are removed, giving the rear of the motorcycle a clean and sporty appearance.
BMW Motorrad ABS and heated grips as standard add an extra level of safety and comfort to the R nineT Sport, while LED indicators further improve the aesthetics of the motorcycle.
