Weise Stuttgart – Engineered for all Weathers

New to the Weise collection for 2018, the Stuttgart is a versatile, value for money four-season jacket, equipped to deal with the UK’s unpredictable weather conditions.

Its waterproof, windproof and breathable liner keeps the weather on the outside, while a removable 120-gram thermal quilted liner keeps warmth on the inside.

Adjustment at the waist, upper and lower arms and cuffs, plus a Neoprene® trimmed collar, allow for a snug fit and help seal out the elements, and the Stuttgart can also be attached to Weise riding trousers with the 8-inch connection zip, preventing the jacket ‘riding-up’ and allowing in cold air.

When the temperature rises, zipped vents at the chest, back and lower arms can be opened, allowing cooler air to circulate.

CE-approved armour at the shoulders, elbows and in the back provide impact protection, and reflective detailing gives extra visibility in low light.

Other practical features include waterproof external pockets, a large rear map pocket and two hand-warmer pockets.

Now available in UK dealers, the Stuttgart retails at just £179.99 and comes in Sizes S–5XL in Stone/Gun and Stone/Neon colours, and in M-3XL in Stone/Blue, all with the reassurance of a 2-year warranty.

Z900RS CAFE displays True Spirit at EICMA show debut

Eagerly anticipated following sight of the Z1 inspired Z900RS at the Tokyo Motor Show, Kawasaki targeted the EICMA show to debut another model in the line dubbed the Z900RS CAFE.
Taking the modern classic style of the highly received Z900RS in a new and imaginative direction, the Z900RS CAFE can also trace is roots back to the Super Four model Z1 of 1972 but adds a twist to proceedings with a bold approach to colour and graphics plus a more focussed riding position thanks to its drop-style black finish handlebar.

A step away from standard, the low handlebar creates a sporty body position matched well by a bikini cowling and stylish seat complete with racer inspired rear hump. Making sound sense, the exhaust system is Kawasaki’s first tuned specifically for tone and fits the overall attention to detail of the Z900RS CAFE perfectly with its subtle brushed satin finish.

Multi-spoke cast wheels give the appearance of traditional wire spoked items while the meticulous attention to detail manifests itself with clever engine details and a clean overall appearance uncluttered by poorly routed hoses and cables.

As with the legendary Z1, the heart of the machine lays with its formidable engine. In the case of the Z900RS CAFE this is a unit equipped with KTRC traction control and an assist and slipper clutch. Contained in a lightweight tubular trellis frame and matched to 41mm inverted front forks and horizontal back link suspension, handling and performance are totally up to date.

Lighting the way a distinctive LED headlamp is mated to a Z1 style elliptical LED rear unit while the traditional speedometer and rev counter assembly is complemented by a central LCD information panel covering the vital functions of this confident arrival on the modern classic scene.

Of course for some riders the Z900RS CAFE will be merely the starting point for further personalisation and a wide range of Kawasaki genuine accessories will be available to personalise the vintage lime green machine.

“We were delighted at the worldwide acclaim for the Z900RS when it was launched just a few weeks ago”, commented Director of Kawasaki Motors Europe, Morihiro Ikoma.

“The Z900RS CAFE widens the appeal of the new RS offering and personifies the True Spirit model tag line. Kawasaki took its time to enter the modern classic scene but the wait was worthwhile. The Z900RS CAFE and Z900RS have a unique heritage and an authenticity that sets them apart as the genuine article.”

2018 model year Kawasaki Ninja ZX‑10RR revealed

From its race preparation-ready cylinder head and performance focused single seat to its lightweight specially forged Marchesini wheels plus KQS quickshifter, the Ninja ZX-10RR was quickly adopted by race teams and committed track day enthusiasts from across the globe after its 2017 launch.

The 2018 model Ninja ZX-10RR features two updates for the coming season, both of which involve colour changes to components: the reservoir canisters behind the lower part of the front fork legs change from a red appearance to silver and at the top of the fork leg, the fork top cap is now green where it was previously also red.

Morihiro Ikoma, Director of Kawasaki Motors Europe, said:

In the hands of our KRT riders, Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes, the Ninja ZX-10RR has achieved Superpole wins, fastest laps, race wins and, ultimately, the 2017 World SBK title in its first year of production.

For motorcycle racing teams, track day enthusiasts and committed road riders, the 2018 Ninja ZX-10RR represents a great performance package and perfect base for racing success.”

Suzuki to unveil SV650X at Tokyo Motor Show next month

Suzuki Motor Corporation will unveil the SV650X at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show – which takes place from 27 October to 5 November – an evolution of the SV650 Rally concept shown at last year’s event.

The original concept was designed to pay homage to the tarmac rally cars and bikes of the 1970s. ‘Neo-retro’ design sees the SV650X get a newly-styled bikini fairing and tinted screen, fog lamps, clip-on handlebars, with a tuck-roll – already available as a genuine accessory on the SV650 – completing the look.

The Japanese firm is currently assessing market reaction and customer feedback before confirming production plans.
Suzuki GB general manager, Paul de Lusignan, commented, “The SV650 Rally concept generated a lot of interest at last year’s show, with retro-styled machines proving very popular among riders. The SV650X is an evolution of that concept, and shows how that would translate to a production machine. Currently we cannot confirm a production schedule. We will first assess reactions to the SV650X before finalising plans.”

Suzuki will confirm it’s 2018 model plans before the end of the year.

Valentino Rossi dedicates his AGV helmet to a Grand Sporting Champ!

,

IN WHAT HAS NOW BECOME A TRADITION, THE AGV PISTA GP R HELMET OF ROSSI FOR THE SATURDAY MORNING QUALIFYING SESSIONS FOR THE ITALIAN MOTORCYCLE GRAND PRIX HELD IN MUGELLO, SPORT SPECIAL CELEBRATORY DESIGNS. DESIGNER ALDO DRUDI TRANSFORMS THEIR HEARTFELT TRIBUTES TO THE LATE NICKY HAYDEN AND TO ITALY INTO ART.

Bright colours, the green turf of a football field, the blue eyes of the Champion of Tavullia who, in a brand new footballer version in a light blue jersey of the Italian national team bearing number 46, exclaims “Mo’ je faccio er cucchiaio” (the “cucchiaio” or “spoon” being a specific type of penalty kick), as he stands, ready in front of the goalkeeper to score a goal. This expression, spouted in an unmistakeable Roman dialect, reveals Rossi’s sporting dedication to Francesco Totti, the icon Italian football player who played the very last match of his fantastic career with the team A.S. Roma last week. With the Italian flag in the background, the tribute continues on the back of the helmet where, under the 58 of Marco Simoncelli, the phrase “One captain… There’s only one captain!” appears, another iconic quote taking directly from the chants dedicated to Totti by his Roman fans. A plaster drawn on the front is an attempt by The Doctor to poke fun at himself, a funny reminder of his misadventure during training a few days ago which put his participation in the Italian GP at risk.

On the sides of the chin strap, the number 46 is joined by 69, the number of the great Nicky Hayden forming a single, dual-tone 469. The AGV shield, which has accompanied Valentino for more than 20 years in each of his wins, is positioned on the side and completed by the words “Mugello 2017”.

A perfect combination of protection, performance and comfort, the Pista GP R is the result of AGV Extreme Standards, an innovative integrated design protocol that revolutionises the design process, allowing for a significant and demonstrable improvement in helmet performance in terms of its protection against impact, peripheral vision, compact design, reduced weight, aerodynamics, ventilation and ergonomics. The innovative AGV Extreme Standards process raises the bar in terms of technology in helmet research and development, and represents a milestone in head protection systems.

The replica helmet (in limited edition of 2500 pieces) will be available from December 2017 as a Pista GP R model, priced at £1100 SRP . Now available to order, refer to your local AGV dealer for more details.

The limited edition will bear the same graphics as Valentino’s helmet, with the exception of other sponsors’ logos and the visor components and accessories.

The Pista GP R, an evolution of the innovative Pista GP, the MotoGP helmet, is the most protective helmet ever to be developed. Thanks to the introduction of Race 3 Max Pinlock®, a Class 1 Optic visor with 100% Max Vision Pinlock® (120), and the patented Visor Lock System (VLS) fastening, the full carbon AGV Pista GP R helmet offers an unbeatable field of vision. The new wind-tunnel-tested “Biplano” spoiler, guarantees optimum aerodynamic performance, while comfort levels benefit from a patented interior structure and an Integrated Ventilation System IVS). The Pista GP R is the first helmet to offer a hydration system, composed of a series of ducts and a valve located on the inside of the chin piece.

Suzuki test ride tour heads to Super Sausage Cafe

Suzuki’s biker café test ride tour heads to the Super Sausage this weekend, June 24-25, where the all-new GSX-R1000 will be available to try from the popular café, located on the A5 near Towcester.

The 2017 GSX-R1000 – which won this year’s Senior TT on the Isle of Man in the hands of Michael Dunlop – boasts a completely new engine and chassis, built from the ground up using technology taken directly from Suzuki’s MotoGP machine. An innovative variable valve timing system gives the new superbike impressive lowdown torque and midrange power, while also boosting top-end output to a class leading 202PS. The chassis gets an all-new frame and swingarm, and is suspended by Showa’s Big Piston front forks. The GSX-R1000R version gets uprated Balance Free suspension from the same manufacturer.

A comprehensive suite of electronics also sees the latest GSX-R1000 get a 10-mode traction control governed by an inertial measurement unit, and ABS, which controls rear wheel lift under braking. The GSX-R1000R also gets launch control, a quickshifter and auto-blipper, and cornering ABS.

Also available to test ride at the Super Sausage café will be the V-Strom 650 and V-Strom 1000, both of which are updated and revised for 2017, with the 650 getting more power and torque and a new traction control system. The 1000 gets cornering ABS added to its electronics package.

The new GSX-S750 can be demoed, the naked machine using the engine from the iconic GSX-R750 in a sporty, street-going chassis. It gets the same traction control system as the bigger GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F, both of which are also available to test ride, along with the SV650 middleweight naked.

The Super Sausage café – which is often packed with bikes on weekends – can be found off the A5, between Towcester and Potterspury, using the postcode NN12 7QD.

DRE 2017: Ducati riding courses recommence with a focus on safety

In 15 years, Ducati have taught over 10,000 motorcyclists from all over the globe. Tried-and-tested teaching methods, prestigious locations and an unrivalled pool of instructors that includes world champions such as Carlos Checa, Troy Bayliss, Marco Lucchinelli, Paolo Casoli and Manuel Poggiali. Not to mention a motorcycle pool with the entire Ducati range, the latest bikes included. All this has made the Ducati Riding Experience (DRE) – the Bologna-based motorcycles manufacturer’s riding school – a huge success. And now, starting on 6th May, DRE will be back on road and track with a swathe of exciting new features.

Dedicated to a growing range of riders and experience levels, DRE 2017 offers a syllabus that is more effective and meticulously structured than ever. As of this year, DRE courses are sub-divided into three main sections: Safety, dedicated to safe road riding; Racetrack for, of course, race circuits; Enduro, to learn and hone off-road skills.

DRE Safety

Held at the Automotive Safety Center of Vairano (Pavia), DRE Safety is an all-new addition to this latest edition of the Ducati Riding Experience. The course aims to provide the tools needed to ensure better road riding, especially from a safety viewpoint. It will take place in a facility designed specifically for this purpose, to which only Ducati has access during the course. The Automotive Safety Center of Vairano is used by major car and motorcycle manufacturers as a developmental test track. Covering over than 50 hectares, it consists of an internal circuit, which can be configured according to requisites and is equipped with all the tools needed to learn or improve safe road riding techniques.

This all-new, safety-focused DRE course is tailor-made according to the participants’ level of experience.

Level 1 is for riders who already have their license but still have limited road experience or feel they need to boost their on-bike confidence (perhaps after a long hiatus); Level 2 aims to improve riding technique and teach participants how to get the most from electronic systems (an essential, extremely high-tech aspect of Ducati’s current range).

DRE Safety provides participants with an impressive bike pool covering a broad range of performance levels and technical characteristics. They span from the agile, fun-packed Monster 797 to the iconic Monster 1200 S, the new Multistrada 950 and the Multistrada 1200 S. The pool also includes another great new Ducati 2017 bike, the SuperSport and the true “fun bike”, the Hypermotard 939. In addition to ensuring both safety and a uniquely exciting ride experience, each motorcycle features the cutting-edge technology that is the hallmark of every Ducati.

DRE Racetrack

DRE was born on the track: it’s here that a core element of the “experience” remains thanks to four courses sub-divided by ability and participants’ needs. These range from Track Warm Up, for those who’ve never ridden on track but are ready to take their “baptism of speed” on the 959 Panigale, to Champs Academy where you’ll learn from champions like Carlos Checa, Michele Pirro and Troy Bayliss on board the Panigale R. In between are Track Evo and Track Master, which let those who already have some experience under their belts to hone their technique to a sharper edge (respectively on the 959 Panigale and 1299 Panigale S . All on an internationally renowned track and aboard the sleekest, highest-performing motorcycles in the Ducati Superbike family.

This year DRE Racetrack takes place on the same circuits MotoGP and Superbike champions do battle: Mugello and Misano.

Registration for the DRE Safety and DRE Racetrack courses are now open. To register go to www.dre.ducati.com.

DRE Enduro

Sign ups for the 2017 edition of DRE Enduro, Ducati’s off-road riding school, available at www.dreenduro.ducati.com.

DRE Enduro is hosted on the magnificent grounds of the Castello di Nipozzano, in Tuscany, in the heart of Chianti Rùfina country. Riding the Multistrada 1200 Enduro, course participants will get to grips with the off-road environment and learn the required techniques from experienced professional instructors, headed by Paris-Dakar veteran Beppe Gualini, DRE Enduro’s technical director.

Designed to cater all skill levels, the course offers an excellent opportunity to experience the outstanding versatility of the Multistrada 1200 Enduro and the new Multistrada 950, all in complete safety thanks to attentive supervision by highly qualified riders and instructors.

Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride – Style never goes out of fashion

The UK’s leading large-capacity motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph, is proud to announce it will once again partner with the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) for its international charity rideout. Taking place on Sunday 25th September, this year’s event will mark the third time in a row Triumph has supported the ride.

Founded in Sydney, Australia, the DGR aims to create a positive image of men on motorcycles, while raising money for a worthy cause. Thousands of gents and ladies will take to their vintage styled motorcycles, donning their silk cravats, tweed jackets and tweaked moustaches, in order to raise awareness and funds for suicide prevention programs and prostate cancer research.

Mark Hawwa, founder of the DGR, commented: “I really wanted to change the perception of men on motorcycles and show that we do in fact have sophistication and style. We are an inclusive and friendly community. Having fun and a smile is what it’s all about!

“Since the first rideout in 2013, the event has grown exponentially, with over 37,000 participants taking part globally last year. As well as continuing to raise money for prostate cancer research, we are also focusing our health goals on suicide prevention for 2016, following the tragic loss of one of our ride hosts to depression.

“Triumph has been a fantastic supporter for DGR and we’re excited to continue this partnership. An authentic motorcycle brand, Triumph provides the classic style that we’re trying to achieve.”

Martin Hough, marketing manager of Triumph UK & Ireland, commented: “Triumph is proud to once again be supporting this fantastic cause. The DGR unites motorcyclists from around the world to celebrate the biker community and tackle these difficult health problems.”

Taking place in over 400 cities around world, the DGR is free to all with a donation encouraged for those participating.

Registration for this year’s Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is open now. For further information or to book your place, please visit www.triumph.co.uk or www.gentlemansride.com

Ultra-Limited-Edition Akrapovic Exhausts Launched to Celebrate 25 Years

Akrapovic has chosen to mark its 25th anniversary by launching a very limited-edition range of just 25 exhausts to celebrate this occasion, and the Slovenian performance exhaust specialists will be donating these exhausts to charity – so you will need to be pretty sharp to get your hands on one.

The 25 exhausts will be instantly recognisable with heat-resistant black paint over an ultra-lightweight titanium muffler. They will all feature an exclusive signature, the Akrapovič logo – which is dedicated to the company’s 25 years of exhaust technology innovations – and most important of all a number that will not only identify which one of the exhausts it is, but verify the rareness of these exquisite collectors’ pieces. Some parts of the systems also have special nano coatings to make sure they stay as good as new after use – that is, if they ever get used. The exhausts are all EC and ECE type-approved – so, if you managed to get your hands on one, you could still fit it on your bike and show it off in its full glory.

Available for a range of six motorcycles and one car, these rare exhausts will be limited to four of each for the BMW S 1000 RR, Yamaha YZF-R1, KTM 1290 Super Duke R, Ducati Multistrada 1200, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, and Honda CBR1000RR plus a one-of-a-kind exclusive car exhaust, a Slip-On Line (Titanium) for the BMW M4. The exclusivity of these unique exhausts will be further enhanced by the fact that they will not be available for purchase through any of the existing Akrapovič retail channels throughout the world. Instead Akrapovič is donating them to charity and they will then be auctioned to raise much-needed funds for various good causes.

Destined to become collectibles, the original prototype versions of these gorgeous pipes will be numbered 00 and kept by Akrapovič, to be put on show at the company’s headquarters in Slovenia and serve as a symbol to encourage the company in its endeavours for the next 25 years. These exhausts are the pinnacle of what Akrapovič has achieved over the last 25 years and are sure to increase in value due to the uniqueness of the design. So if you want one of these for your bike or car, or even to hang on the wall as a work of art – because they certainly are that – then keep an eye out on all of Akrapovič’s latest news features and social media networks to see when they are available for auction.

JvB-moto Creates Yard Built XSR700 Super 7

Yamaha’s Yard Built projects have led the way in the revival of the cool custom world. Developing relationships with the rock stars of motorcycle customising, the project has delivered an incredible line up of unique and breath-taking one-off Yard Builts based on the Sport Heritage range of motorcycles. Legendary customizers from across the globe have turned their skilled hands to proving how easy it is to customize one of Yamaha’s very flexible retro machines. The exercise provides inspiration and has set new trends in the motorcycle world, making it a reality for everyone to make their Yamaha their own.

Following the stunning concept ‘Faster Son’ created by Chabbott Engineering’s Shinya Kimura this summer to launch the XSR700, Germany’s JvB-moto is now the first custom builder to step up and deliver their take on the latest offering from the Sport Heritage range. The result, the ‘Super 7’ makes a bold statement, making it clear that the possibilities for customization and personalisation with the XSR700 are huge.

Without any cutting or welding to the frame, Jens worked to strip back the bike with the drive to expose the essence of the retro styled machine. The end result is a super clean motorcycle that reflects the lightweight, powerful and agile nature of the standard XSR700.

Many of the parts on the ‘Super 7’ were made in-house by JvB-moto and will be available shortly for XSR700 owners. These include the headlight, LED indicators and speedometer mounting which holds the Daytona speedo. The side covers and seat unit that give the bike its distinctive shape were all made by JvB-moto as well as the mounting for the Arrows exhaust. At the rear of the bike, the mudguard, taillight and number plate mounting are all made in-house as well as the front mudguard.

The ‘Super 7’ sits on Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa tyres for total grip with Öhlins shocks at the rear keeping everything under control. The front forks are stock items, modified for the custom build. Custom risers keep the LSL handlebars at the right height in front of the stunning fuel tank, normally anodized but now stripped to show the raw alloy There’s also a custom rear brake reservoir and polished regulator.

The stock footrests and mountings were modified and JvB-moto LED indicators set off the front end. To finish off the sides the engine covers and other small parts were sandblasted to give the finished effect.

Everything designed and built in-house by JvB-moto will be available shortly as bolt-on parts for the XSR700.

PIRELLI MT 60™ RS, the chosen tyre of the DUCATI SCRAMBLER

Specially developed for the new model from the Borgo Panigale company is the original equipment of all the four versions of this motorcycle in 110/80 R18 front and 180/55 R17 rear

The MT 60™ RS is the Pirelli tyre designed for the DUCATI SCRAMBLER, the latest model launched by the Borgo Panigale company in four versions: Icon, Urban Enduro, Full Throttle and Classic.

The front 3.00” x 18” and the rear 5.50” x 17” wheels of the DUCATI SCRAMBLER are designed to be lightweight and will fit as original equipment the new enduro street tyres from Pirelli, the MT 60™ RS 110/80 R18 front and 180/55 R17 rear. These have been specially made for the DUCATI SCRAMBLER with a dedicated design of the knobs which offers excellent handling on any terrain.

Also for the new DUCATI SCRAMBLER, a contemporary motorcycle which offers the perfect mix of tradition and modernity, which expresses the pure essence of motorcycling, Ducati chose Pirelli confirming the strong link between the two Italian companies.

MT 60™ RS is a product present in the enduro street range of Pirelli tyres for many years and has always been a benchmark for the segment thanks to its ability to combine sports-road performance with traction on unpaved roads. During the development of new sizes required by Ducati for the four versions of the DUCATI SCRAMBLER, Pirelli has totally redesigned the MT 60™ RS in terms of specifications and performance.

The tread pattern of the sizes of the MT 60™ RS designed ad hoc for the DUCATI SCRAMBLER presents larger and more variable size ‘knobs’ along the edge, thus giving rise to a design of multi-pitch compared to the single-pitch that characterized the original tyre.
This results in a significant decrease of the land/sea ratio, and in the increase of the contact surface with the reduction of the mobility of the knobbly tread.

The resulting benefits are a reduction in braking distance thanks to the work of the front tyre and greater stability both on the straight and whilst leaning. Finally, thanks to the multi-pitch tread design, even the noise generated by the tyre rolling on the asphalt is significantly decreased compared to the original MT 60™ RS.

The product upgrade is completed by new compounds and takes advantage of the experience gained in this area by Pirelli in recent years.
At the front we used a compound, which is derived directly from the sporty DIABLO ROSSO™ II, with a balanced content of silica and Carbon Black, which provides a dynamic riding, with a high grip both on dry and wet surfaces.

Regarding the rear, the choice has fallen on a sport touring compound with high silica content so as to ensure long distances and a high grip on wet.

Finally, it was also completely redesigned the structure of the front tyre that in the past was radial with cross-ply belts and now became radial but with a 0° steel belt, with significant benefits in terms of stability and steering precision.

Dark Side MT Tour at Motorcycle Live

The popular ‘Dark Side MT Tour’ will add one more stop to its 2014 schedule when it visits Motorcycle Live from 22nd – 30th November.

Following a hectic five city UK tour during the summer of 2014 the popular MT Tour has added one final venue to its schedule for the year, as it is now confirmed as a new feature at this year’s Motorcycle Live at the NEC.

The MT Tour has already provided an opportunity for riders across the country to experience the new range of Yamaha MT bikes and discover their ‘Dark Side’ by trying out an MT for themselves. The summer events included stunt shows, an Extreme Wheelie machine and even a new rider MT experience with both an MT-125 and restricted A2 compliant MT-07 machine available with fully trained instructors.

The appearance of the MT Tour at Motorcycle Live adds yet another new dimension to this year’s premier event and confirms why the NEC remains a must visit destination for every serious rider.

The giant MT Tour truck will take centre stage for the MT Tour display with its Dark Side branding and collection of MT clothing and accessories. Sited inside Hall 3 right next to the Yamaha stand, the MT Tour truck will have many of the accessorised MT Tour bikes on show, along with the Dave Coates MT-09 stunt bike which comes to the event straight from its last show.

But the most popular attraction is certain to be the fleet of MT-09, MT-09 Street Rally and MT-07 demo bikes that will be available for riders to enjoy in an escorted test ride. Bookings for the test rides can only be made on the MT Tour truck on the actual day so riders should make their way to the Yamaha stand on arrival and secure a slot as places are limited.

Riders can find details of the additional MT Tour dates at Motorcycle Live and requirements for booking test rides by visiting:

http://www.yamaha-motor.eu/uk/experience/mt-tour/index.aspx

With new 2015 MT models and colours on display on the Yamaha stand next to the MT Tour truck Motorcycle Live will be another new chapter in the MT story. And following the huge number of awards the MT range has received this year the MT demo bikes are certain to be a popular addition to the line-up at Motorcycle Live this year.

The 2014 Motorcycle Live event runs from Saturday 22nd Nov to Sunday 30th November 2014. Doors open at 10.00 each day. For full details of the event visit:

Some restrictions apply to riders wishing to book a test ride and riders must present a full valid motorcycle driving licence. See website for full terms and conditions

Bikeshuttle Offer Alpine Riding Adventures Without The Long Slog

A new service for motorcyclists who want to ride great European roads but don’t want to waste time and money getting there has been launched by Bikeshuttle.

Utilising a bespoke trailer that stows motorcycles in complete safety, the Bikeshuttle team offer a ‘roll-on, roll-off’ service near Heathrow with collection in Geneva, leaving you fresh to ride some of Europe’s best roads. The team offer a number of other options including drop off near Silverstone, bike collection and transfers to other airports.

With two lorry drivers traveling through the night, the service can save a rider three days of riding on dull, often wet motorways. Flying there also saves hundreds of pounds when considering the costs of the Channel Tunnel, French road tolls, fuel and additional hotels en-route. The complete bike transportation (and kit) service starts at £349.

Bikeshuttle was devised by two bikers who love riding the challenging routes of southern France, Switzerland and Italy but hated the long slog on the motorway to make the 1500 mile round trip.

Bikes can be dropped off at the company’s base near Silverstone or Heathrow, where the bikes are securely strapped onto trolleys and riding kit stored. Customers are then shuttled to the airport to fly out to Geneva, where they can spend a night in a nominated hotel on the French side. After a night’s rest, riders are re-united with their bikes, ready to take on the Alps!  Running from April-September, trips are weekly, departing from the UK on a Tuesday afternoon, returning the following Thursday morning.

Bikeshuttle encourage Group and Club bookings with multiple booking discounts. Bookings can be made now with no deposit needed until January.
