Ducati and Porsche Italy together for an unforgettable experience

With the 2024 season, the DRE offer is enriched by the Porsche & Ducati Experience, an exclusive and innovative event for lovers of two and four wheels.

A new format created by Ducati and Porsche Italia, designed to satisfy the desires of enthusiasts who will have the opportunity to experience a memorable and emotional day.

On the one hand the Ducati range (with the exception of the Panigale family), on the other three prestigious cars of the Porsche brand, 911 Carrera S/4S, 718 Boxster GTS 4.0/Cayman GTS 4.0 and Cayenne/Cayenne Coupé: all the vehicles will be available to participants in the evocative setting of the Porsche Experience Center Franciacorta. The location is one of the nine PECs (Porsche Experience Centres) existing in the world, as well as the largest of all in terms of extension and services offered. Thanks to its five different tracks, from speed to low grip to off-road, the Porsche Experience Center Franciacorta is a place that has no equals in the Italian motoring scene.

The course is designed for anyone, from beginners to more experienced drivers and riders. Half a day will be dedicated to exercises with motorbikes, while the second part will be reserved for cars so as to be able to better learn all the secrets of safe driving in both worlds. Participants will learn how to keep the right position both in the saddle and behind the wheel, how to use their sight in the correct way, how to make the most of the braking power of both vehicles and how to manage emergency situations in a safe and aware way. The teaching relating to motorbike riding is based on the DRE Road format, the riding course designed and developed for all types of motorcyclists, from those who wish to improve their riding level, to all those who wish to try out the technological features of the Ducati range.

The technical clothing required for the course consists of a full-face helmet, leather or Cordura jacket and trousers, equipped with shoulder, elbow and knee protection, back protector, gloves and boots. For those who are without, it will be possible, subject to availability, to request technical clothing when purchasing the course.

The Porsche & Ducati Experience represents a unique experience, which testifies to Ducati’s commitment to excellence and has come about thanks to the synergy with another brand of the Volkswagen group.

The event is scheduled for June 29/30 and registration is already open.
For more information on the course, the program and registration, you can visit the DRE Academy section of the Ducati.com website or contact DRE Customer Support:  dre@ducati.com.

New Storm Tracker from LS2 Helmets

LS2’s popular FF800 Storm II gets two fresh graphic options for 2024, both offering riders a bright style for this season.

The two new ‘Tracker’ schemes blend a deep gloss black and carbon-look detailing, with a choice of contrasting Blue and H-V Yellow or rich Red graphics.

The Storm’s specification starts with the lightweight Kinetic Polymer Alloy shell, which comes in three outer sizes for the smallest, lightest possible helmet across each fitment range.

It’s aerodynamically shaped to keep the head stable and comfortable, and certified to the latest ECE22.06 safety standard.

The quick-release visor is 3D optically correct, scratch and UV-resistant, and comes with a Pinlock® 70 MaxVision™ anti-fog insert included as standard. Behind that sits a handy  drop-down sun visor, to deal with glare.

When the temperature rises, intake ports at the crown and chin, internal channels and exhaust ports at the rear allow an instant flow of cool air around the head.

The hypoallergenic liner is made from moisture-wicking fabric and is also removable and washable for season-long comfort and freshness.

Speaking of comfort, the shell’s ‘long-oval’ shape and Laser-Cut Foam inserts follow the natural contour of the head for a snug and reassuring fit. A Chin Curtain also features, to help keep noise inside to a minimum.

The LS2 FF800 Storm II is available in sizes XS-XXXL and retails at £149.99for graphics, including the new additions, and from just £129.99 in solid colours.

All-new and exciting TC 150 and TC 300 2-stroke machines added to the range.

Husqvarna Motorcycles sets a new and higher standard for pure motocross performance in 2025 with a strengthened line-up of seven machines for the new model year. Multiple technical updates include revised frames, engine mounts, bodywork and suspension settings, which all combine to create an elevated riding experience with two exciting new two-stroke models added to the range – the TC 150 and TC 300.

Offering improved overall power and a considerable boost to the torque, the TC 150 is the perfect machine for racers looking to gain an advantage when competing against 250 cc four-stroke machines. Assembled with race-tested components throughout and providing all riders with confidence-inspiring handling, the TC 150 certainly strengthens the two-stroke line-up available from Husqvarna Motorcycles.
The same philosophy applies to the new TC 300. The latest generation frame ensures all seven models offer exceptional handling in 2025. With material reduced around the upper shock mount and at the front of the chassis, the revisions were introduced to enhance flex characteristics, reduce weight and improve cornering without compromising straight-line stability. Additionally – and exclusive to the three four-stroke machines – new engine mounts aid the agility of each motorcycle.
Further chassis revisions include new suspension settings, linkage seals and a smaller diameter linkage bolt to save weight while redesigned tank shrouds allow easier access to the adjusters on the WP shock. The seat height is 5 mm higher and wider at the lowest point for easier movement on the motorcycle while new Swedish-inspired graphics create a distinctive look.
All models are expertly crafted with the latest technology and rider aids, in addition to featuring an extensive list of premium aftermarket components to ensure each machine delivers best-in-class rideability. New for 2025 are Dunlop’s latest MX34 tyres, which provide improved acceleration and cornering, while ProTaper handlebars, ODI grips, and Brembo clutch and brake systems are retained for their proven performance and durability.
Technical highlights:
  • Revised chassis for enhanced flex and cornering agility
  • New linkage seals and linkage bolt for smoother shock performance and weight savings
  • New Dunlop Geomax MX34 tyres for exceptional grip on all surfaces
  • New engine mounts on FC models further improve chassis flex

  • Multifunctional Map Select Switch offers two engine maps and houses the Quickshifter, Traction and Launch Control buttons on all four-stroke models
  • Aluminium-polyamide hybrid subframe construction provides specifically calculated rigidity and advanced durability
  • WP XACT 48 mm front forks with AER technology offer progressive end-of-stroke damping
  • WP XACT rear shock design with CFD-optimised main piston and tool-free adjusters

Never Stop! KTM Responds To The Demands Of Orange Bleeders

KTM is driven by innovation, extreme experiences and emotion. KTM also lives by the motto READY TO RACE and with the accumulation of 341 FIM World Championships since the late 1970s (and in virtually all motorcycle racing disciplines) is how racing steers the breed of the brand. It’s been over fifteen years since KTM last produced an authentic road homologated performance sports bike for the masses. The company is harnessing all its expertise that has been gained through efforts in MotoGP™, thousands of track laps, wins and podiums to fire the KTM 990 RC R to life.Essential Information

KTM Roars Ahead: Unleashing the Dominant KTM 990 RC R Range. The principle KTM 990 RC R – which is set to roll off the Mattighofen production line in early 2025 – has a dedicated Supersport persona but will be homologated for street use. The all-new development embodies the fusion of Austrian engineering excellence and the ferocious racing DNA, delivering unrivaled performance while embracing the practical demands of the road. Instantly catering to the desires of orange enthusiasts fixated on track days and individuals seeking to maintain the adrenaline rush with an exceptionally capable street bike.

The KTM 990 RC R will excite enthusiasts with its street homologated model, but its race DNA will be intentionally unveiled in early 2024. The prototype will make appearances as a wildcard entry in non-point scoring outings across select European Supersport series’, igniting anticipation among fans. KTM believes in developing its newcomer to the stable in the most READY TO RACE way possible – through racing.

KTM is also filming a multi-part behind-the-scenes documentary about the R&D journey of the bike and its entry into the Supersport sector. This exclusive behind-the-scenes content will give viewers close, and not normally seen, insights into the fast-paced world of the Austrian based factory and what it takes to craft a motorcycle from an idea into reality. Follow the final stages of the research and development process moving all the way from the very beginning to the final unveiling of the finished street homologated version of the KTM 990 RC R. The first episode airs today – 7th May at 16:00 GMT. Be the first to uncover exclusive details – click HERE for the inside scoop. The Purpose

Over the last fifteen years KTM drip-fed sport orientated products to the public at a time when the company was extending its offroad racing prowess to the asphalt: the KTM RC8, the KTM RC single cylinder range and the track-only, limited edition KTM RC 8C were the prime examples. Across that period KTM has merged R&D, learning, and road racing accomplishments at a rapid rate. The company now caters to motorcyclists seeking a machine born from competition yet engineered to be the ultimate, advanced street tool. The search to minimize hard compromises brought on by overly sporty ergonomics and handling is over. The KTM 990 RC R has been years in the making and with a wealth of data garnered by titles and trophies in almost every category of various MotoGP™ categories. The bike represents the natural evolution of the current KTM RC line-up, yet its sporting potential allows for a straightforward conversion into a KTM 990 RC R TRACK edition. True to the READY TO RACE ethos, this edition is poised to make its debut in the second quarter of 2025. The Product(s)

The street homologated KTM 990 RC R boasts a 57 kg EURO5+ ready LC8c, honed for rasping torque (103 Nm at 10,500 rpm) and 128 PS, pumped out through the new ergo-crafted and condensed stainless steel muffler, and fettled through a shifter that can be reversed to race-shift as standard.

The steel frame has been engineered for dynamic performance, with increased weight bias towards the front end. It features a dedicated steering head angle of 25 degrees and offset for enhanced steering responsiveness. Beefed-up stiffness gives the right feel and stability under acceleration on bumpy roads or on racetracks, while also maintaining agility – especially at low speeds. A diecast aluminum subframe contributes to the ride.

Ergonomics are key to the KTM 990 RC R’s behaviour. Lengthy experimentation primed the six contact points on the tank for a better connection, leaning and ‘tucking in’ to ensure comfort but also support for knees, arms and lower pressure on the hands. A new fuel tank has been shaped as a main component of the ergo. Adjustable footrests play a part, as well as the fully adjustable WP APEX Open Cartridge Suspension, lightweight cast aluminum wheels wrapped in Michelin tyres.

The MotoGP™ heritage is evident with the wind-tunnel-chiseled aero wings that provide stability for braking and cornering, while other edges and profiling around the bodywork scream ‘racer’.

If there were any lingering doubts about this bike’s intended purpose, the minimal modifications required for the transition to the KTM 990 RC R TRACK EDITION should indisputably reinforce its racing pedigree. Crafted by KTM in its Austrian factory, the modifications strip away the road-legal essentials, incorporate protective components, fine-tune adjustments, and further customise and revise racing bodywork, including a full exhaust system. These modifications ensure that riders focus on lap times rather than leisurely rides. Additionally, the ease of repair, low maintenance requirements and extensive official dealer support provide further advantages. The Promise

Riaan Neveling, Head of KTM Global Marketing – “The KTM 990 RC R is a groundbreaking innovation for those who live for the thrill of cornering. It’s for those who lean close to the road, almost brushing their knees, and then push the limits, dragging elbow to the tarmac on the racetrack. This bike offers power and prestige without the exorbitant price tag. At last, we can unveil our KTM 990 RC R and introduce a truly exceptional motorcycle to dealerships in early 2025, fulfilling the anticipation of countless riders and race enthusiasts. Our DUKE Range and other Street products have garnered a loyal following for their distinct character; we believe the KTM 990 RC R will quickly attain cult status because it excels at the two things it was designed for so remarkably well. Success will be evident on the track, but the unparalleled experience for customers on the road will truly set it apart.”

The countdown to 2025 starts right now. Follow the final stages of development in the special documentary video series by clicking HERE.

#WeRideAsOne travels around the world uniting the community

#WeRideAsOne travels around the world uniting the community while celebrating a passion for Ducati.

On Saturday, May 4, it took place under the banner of passion and fun #WeRideAsOne, Ducati’s global widespread event that called together its community to celebrate the pride of belonging to the big Borgo Panigale family.

A special third edition which, this year, was also an unmissable opportunity to warm up the engines and prepare together for the event that symbolises Ducati passion in the world: the World Ducati Week, scheduled from 26 to 28 July at Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli”. While the countdown is getting shorter by the day, tickets are already available on the Ducati website to take part in the most spectacular three-day event ever!

The official Ducati dealers were responsible for organising the event on Saturday 4 May in close collaboration with the 347 local Ducati Official Clubs. Together they created personalised itineraries for each city, with attention to the smallest details, to guarantee an experience full of fun and in true Ducati style.

More than 18,000 Ducatisti from more than 50 nations around the globe enthusiastically took part in the event, a number of participants constantly growing. From adrenaline lovers on the track to curious travel-lovers who explore new horizons, from off-road adventurers to those who prefer more relaxing routes, the goal was only one: to celebrate and share the same passion for the Bologna-based manufacturer!

Once again this year, the long Ducati and Scrambler Ducati parade coloured the most emblematic places on the planet , leaving an indelible mark on every road travelled. Ecuador, New York, Palermo, as well as Glasgow, Warsaw, Rio de Janeiro, Hawaii, Ningbo, Medellín, Mexico City, Auckland, and New Delhi: these are just some of the cities that were the setting for the unique parade and which experienced the magic of #WeRideAsOne, a truly world-class event.

#WeRideAsOne was celebrated in the UK by almost 1000 Ducati owners joining spectacular activities taking the Bologna-built bikes to racetracks, cities and the country.
Starting from the trackside, 180 Ducatisti gathered for a dedicated parade lap around the iconic Donington Park Circuit, led by ex-British Superbike and World Superbike racer Chris Walker on his Panigale V4R.The Ducati community showed its strength, presence and passion in several UK cities.
In London, the Ducati riders enjoyed the sights of St Paul’s Cathedral and Canary Wharf. Ducati Oxford visited the prestigious Blenheim Palace, the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Woodstock. Ducati Cambridge gathered its Ducatisti for a meet up at the gothic Peterborough Cathedral. Ducati Bournemouth accompanied riders away from the hustle and bustle of the city with the Sandbanks Ferry carrying them to explore Studland as part of their ride out. Cardiff drove to the iconic Tintern Abbey in Wales, while from Aylesbury they rode to Silverstone, joining a dedicated tour of the Silverstone museum.

On its official Instagram channel, Ducati documented the activities that took place all over the world in real time, sharing photos and videos sent directly from the participants in stories. Anyone who wants to relive the day’s highlights can find content in the #WeRideAsOne featured collection.

Ducati is the only motorcycle brand in the world to offer an international event of this size. In fact, since its very first edition, #WeRideAsOne has established itself as a unique format of its kind, becoming a fixed appointment in the Italian motorcycle manufacturer’s calendar and all enthusiasts for every first Saturday in May.

The event fully embodies Ducati’s mission to offer unforgettable experiences to all enthusiasts, combining fun on two wheels with stunning locations and conveying a sense of belonging to a vast community that embraces Ducatisti, Ducati Official Clubs, Dealers and Company employees. What distinguishes #WeRideAsOne is the ability to overcome geographical borders and, on the same day, make all enthusiasts feel part of the same big family, regardless of the city they are in or the time zone.

The collaboration will see the two work together to prioritise the rapid development of their ranges for the latest machines as they hit the market.

R&G will be stocking and distributing, on an off-the-shelf basis, Eazi-Grip’s market-leading ranges, starting with its ‘Evo’ and ‘Pro’ Tank Grips, which are used and respected globally by top race teams and many thousands of leisure riders, on both road and track. REV’IT! opens first brand store in Denver, USA

REV’IT! opened its first physical store in the heart of Denver, Colorado in the United States.

With a 6,204 square-foot (576m²) store in the up-and-coming Denver RiNo Arts District, the Dutch brand is looking to provide a place where creativity, cutting-edge design, good stories, and even better friendships meet.

Creating seamless experiences across physical and digital spaces, REV’IT! seeks to serve motorcycle enthusiasts around the world in the best possible way. To complement the existing dealer network in the physical space, REV’IT! proudly announces the opening of its first brand store. With REV’IT! Denver as the global premiere, the Dutch brand can now offer riders the full REV’IT! experience under its own roof, in a purpose-designed retail space.

The United States represents one of the key markets globally for REV’IT!. Both for the advanced level of the motorcycle industry in general, and in terms of the opportunity to further grow presence and interaction with the riding communities. The location of REV’IT!’s very first brand store in Denver, Colorado, the outdoor capital of the world, has been carefully selected to allow to not only serve the Denver riding community, but be an active part of it. The upbeat, innovative, and adventurous vibe of the RiNo district is expected to play a major part in that.

Iain Howe, Global Marketing Director at REV’IT!: “Obviously having our own retail space is a significant step for our brand. We have designed the space to embody our pillars of Performance, Design, and Innovation. From the materialization, a symphony of innovative design in aluminum and concrete with local elements such as the original timber beams, to the flexible set up and welcoming community area, REV’IT! Denver is a motorcycle gear store the likes of which has not been seen before.”

The store
The REV’IT! Denver store features various zones, allowing guests to experience the wide range of collections. From adventure through urban to race, and from accessible essentials to tailormade professional level one-piece suits.

However, to say that the REV’IT! Denver experience is defined by the Dutch brand’s collection alone, would be an injustice. More than just a store, REV’IT! has set up their Denver store to be a community hub. A place where riders’ journeys begin, where they find inspiration, information, and advice. Whether you’re participating in one of the ride-outs, attending a seminar, or simply dropping in to swap stories over a freshly brewed cup of coffee, REV’IT!’s passionate team will be delighted to see you.

REV’IT! Denver is located at 2800 Walnut Street, Suite 120, Denver, CO 80205, U.S.A. Opened Tuesdays to Fridays from 11am to 7pm, Saturdays from 10am to 7pm, and on Sunday from 11am to 5pm.

Riding Route 66 – Henry Cole’s new book

Riding Route 66: Finding Myself on America’s Mother Road

RIDING ROUTE 66 follows Henry Cole as he travels along America’s most famous highway on a journey of self-discovery.

Known as ‘Mother Road’, Route 66 is one of the most famous highways in the USA. Crossing the width of the country, it is an immensely challenging route to travel and Henry has ridden it three times. This book is about the freedom that only the road and a motorcycle can give you, and the importance of embracing the highs and lows of life equally.

The book is more than the story of a road trip, as Henry explains; “Every time I have ridden 66, within 10 miles of setting off, I never want that ride to end. I think it’s because Route 66 encapsulates struggle and, ultimately, triumphing over unimaginably difficult conditions. I think everyone can connect with that.”

One of the most-recognised faces in UK motorcycling, Henry Cole is on television most days of the year as the presenter of shows like The World’s Greatest Motorcycle Rides, The Motorbike Show, Shed and Buried, Junk & Disorderly and Find It, Fix It, Flog It! His career also involves producing and directing and he has his own television production company, HCA Entertainment. Henry is the author of two previous books, A Biker’s Life and The Life-changing Magic of Sheds.

Riding Route 66: Finding Myself on America’s Mother Road is on sale from 6th June priced £22- (hardback, 272 pages) and is available on Amazon and from all good book shops.

Motorcycle Jacket VS Knox Armoured Shirt

Knox has launched a major new campaign putting the traditional motorcycle jacket head-to-head with a Knox armoured shirt.

Quote from Aaron Travell, Marketing Director.
“Knox has been making armoured shirts since the early 1990’s, but over the last few years, we have taken some huge steps forward in their development.

The result is that we now achieve comparable or better CE approval classifications than traditional motorcycle jackets but with all the extra benefits of a lightweight flexible armoured shirt.

This has resulted in massive growth in the sale and distribution of our shirts worldwide.

Our latest campaign aims to reach even more riders by highlighting all the major benefits of Knox armoured shirts in comparison to traditional motorcycle clothing in an entertaining way.

It was a great campaign to work on, and whilst we aimed to present it with some light humour, we’re serious about the message which we are confident will resonate with riders, bumping up against the limitations of their existing motorcycle clothing.”

The Aprilia Tuareg 660 has already captivated adventure enthusiasts with its powerful engine and balanced chassis.

Now, with the introduction of the TracTive X-Treme Pro cartridges and rear shock absorber, Tuareg 660 riders will experience improved stability and control, boosting confidence to effortlessly conquer challenging terrains.

Key features of the TracTive Suspension Kit for the Aprilia Tuareg 660 include:

Adjustable Compression and Rebound Damping
Riders can fine-tune their compression and rebound settings on the front and rear to suit their individual preferences and riding style, whether navigating rough off-road terrain or carving through twisty roads.

Anti-bottoming systems
The shock absorber features a PDSII system and the cartridges include a hydraulic end stop. These systems act as a cushion to absorb high levels of incoming energy and prevent harsh bottoming, enhancing comfort and safety.

Enhanced Stability and Control
The X-Treme Pro rear shock includes a high flow 46mm piston while the Closed Cartridge kit features a big 35mm piston, the largest piston among all aftermarket suspension suppliers. In addition to facilitating a high oil flow, these piston sizes enables stable and well-controlled damping behavior.

High-Quality Construction
Each component of the suspension kit is crafted from CNC machined premium materials, ensuring durability, reliability, and long-lasting performance even in the most demanding conditions. All TracTive products are fully serviceable and include a 2 year warranty. If serviced on-time.

Precise preload adjustment
The rear shock absorber is available with or without Hydraulic Preload Adjuster(HPA). The HPA can be precisely adjusted with a 10 mm range.

Both cartridge legs allow preload adjustments of up to 12 mm. This easy adjustment capability facilitates load compensation and optimal balance, whether carrying luggage or a passenger.

Various ride height levels
The Cartridges and rear shock absorber are available in low -20mm, normal or increased +20mm ride height. Offering ample choices to accommodate riders of all types and sizes.

Black & White Edition
The Aprilia Tuareg 660 X-Treme Pro kit is also available in a special Black & White Edition.

In this special edition, every adjustable element essential for fine-tuning the suspension setup is anodized with a deep black finish. These stealthy suspension components seamlessly blend with your motorcycle’s aesthetic, regardless of its color scheme.

Venhill Featherlight Cables for Honda CB550-750

Venhill has developed four new Featherlight Clutch Cable Kits for Honda’s iconic late 70s/early 80s CB550, 650 and 750s.

The kits offer the best of both worlds: modern performance, dependability and feel, with a period-correct look to blend in nicely with the CB’s classic lines.

Developed and made in their UK factory, Venhill Featherlight Clutch Cable Kits use the latest technology and materials for enhanced durability, as well as a smoother, lighter clutch action.

Each kit uses high quality marine-grade stainless steel inner wire to eliminate stretch. They’re also ‘Bird-caged’ – allowing solder to penetrate the weave of the cable, making the bond with the nipple much stronger and reducing the risk of breakage.

A PTFE ‘teflon’ liner minimises friction and removes the need for regular lubrication. This is then wrapped in a steel winding with a PVC jacket; which provides great flexibility and strength during use, and protects the inner wire from damage and corrosion.

Like all Venhill cables, the jacket comes in a choice of seven different colour ways, so owners can choose from classic black for originality, or spec a contrasting colour for a special build or race bike.

For those fitting higher or lower bars, additional length can be specified when ordering.

The new kits fit the following models and years:

  • Honda CB 550 (F1-F2) 1976-1977
  • Honda CB 650 (Z-A) 1979-1982
  • Honda CB 650 C (A-B) 1980-1981
  • Honda CB 750 F (SOHC) (F2-F3) 1977-1978

They retail at £25.32 inc VAT each, and are a direct replacement for the originals, for hassle-free fitting.

Find them at www.venhill.co.uk
