GBRacing protection now available for Aprilia’s iconic RSV1000 and Tuono modelsGBRacing protection is now available for the second generation of Aprilia’s legendary RSV1000 R, Factory and Nero (2004-2010) as well as the corresponding Tuono models (2005-2010).

Part of GBRacing’s ongoing programme to expand its range retrospectively, as well as keeping up with all the latest model releases, these new secondary clutch and alternator covers provide high-quality, contemporary protection to this Italian icon.

Owners of the original RSV1000 — often referred to as the ‘Mille’ or, more affectionately, ‘Millie’ — are also catered for with the clutch cover also compatible with earlier models of RSV1000 (1998-2003) and Tuono (2002-2005).

New XL Street Bullet Frame Sliders

The choice of numerous championship-winning race teams, renowned for their incredible ability to absorb the energy from high speed crashes saving damage to the chassis, GBRacing has redesigned and re-imagined the Bullet Slider for the street bike rider.

The new XL Street Bullet Frame Sliders offer the same incredible impact absorption technology with a larger puck for the ultimate in street bike chassis protection.

The XL also uses a reinforced version of the intelligently engineered mounting bush pioneered by the original Bullet Slider that effectively concertinas to absorb the energy of a direct impact.

This bush is also designed with a ‘sacrificial’ weak point. This means should the bike slide into a kerb, it will snap, preventing the slider from digging in, causing the bike to flip and subsequently sustain more damage.

This design also overcomes the age-old, traditional ‘crash bung’ problem of a long bolt bending in a frame at best, tearing threads out or even damaging engine mounts at worst. By using a short bolt that sits close to the bolt socket (5mm) the chance of the bolt bending and causing more (totally avoidable) damage is all but eliminated.

These larger, XL Street Bullet Frame Sliders are ideal for road riders looking for a more substantial looking crash puck to protect against accidental drops and road-speed spills.

For racing and track applications, the original Bullet Frame Sliders remain the recommended option, with proven performance at the very highest level of production racing.

Ducati Hypermotard 950 and Supersport 950 fully covered

One new clutch cover, two more Ducati models

Ducati is known for progress and for fast evolution of its motorcycle range — and GBRacing has been working hard to keep up!

The Bologna brand’s changes to improve the clutch on the 937cc V2 engine used in the 2021-23 Supersport 950 and the 2019-2023 Hypermotard 950 range, brought about the need to design a completely new clutch cover to fully include these fun Italian bikes in the GBRacing line-up.

The alternator and water pump covers remain unchanged from the 2016-2020 Supersport 937 — these parts have now been added to the model pages on the website as approved and suitable for the 2021-23 Supersport 950 models.

The introduction of this new clutch cover means that full engine protection is now available both as individual parts and as a set for the 2021-23 Supersport 950 models.

It also means that owners of the 2019-2023 Hypermotard 950 can pair this new clutch cover with the existing alternator cover that also fits the current Multistrada V2 950, Desert X and Monster ranges for complete crankcase protection.

As part of our ongoing commitment to produce the world’s best motorcycle protection, we work alongside the world’s best racing teams.

We also listen to feedback from our valued dealers, but above all we listen to our customers and are always keen to learn how we can improve our products or our service to exceed expectations.

While many race teams replace their secondary engine covers regularly due to the very nature of their use, our road customers (thankfully!) often have the same protection in place for several years.

We have learned that the white coating on the current logo blocks can be taken off through regular cleaning with aggressive products and, over time, by use on salted winter roads.

This corrosion is something we are very happy to have solved with a brand new, high-temperature, pad-printed technique that in testing has proved almost impossible to remove.

This new logo block will be fitted to new stock as it is built in our Baldock production facility, and can also be purchased separately for customers wishing to upgrade or renovate their existing GBRacing covers.

More KTM models added to GBRacing’s growing product range

The 890 LC8c parallel-twin engine features in the 890 Duke and the 890 Duke R. GBRacing launches new protection for the Yamaha MT-09

GBRacing has released a full set of protective secondary engine covers for the latest generation Yamaha MT-09.

New engine architecture to give an increase in both cubic capacity and performance was a key part of the first major revision to the hugely popular Yamaha triple since its launch in 2013.

Yamaha’s 2021 revamp also afforded GBRacing the opportunity to produce a completely new engine cover set comprising of alternator, clutch, pulse and water pump covers.

The same 890cc three-cylinder engine is used in the FZ-09, Tracer and Scrambler, adding four new Yamaha models to GBRacing’s constantly expanding product range.

These new Yamaha models bring GBRacing’s total secondary engine cover range to over 140 models across 13 different manufacturers.

Constant development using data and lessons learned from world championship racing and investment in new engineering capabilities, together with advances in GBRacing’s patented composite, has delivered improvements in all areas of GBRacing secondary engine covers from durability and resilience to finish.

Having recently repurposed the original GBRacing factory in Barnet to specialise in hand-finishing smaller components to cope with increased customer demand, this is the first set of covers to be designed, prototyped and produced exclusively at GBRacing’s new purpose-built facility in Baldock, Hertfordshire, using the very latest, state-of-the-art five-axis CNC milling machines.

GBRacing launches Clutch Lever Guard

Following the success of the modular design of GBRacing Brake Lever Guards, and after collaboration with numerous British and World Superbike teams, GBRacing can now offer Clutch Lever Guards in a range of fitments.

Since the introduction of quickshifters and downshift blippers, to all intents and purposes making the clutch redundant once on the move, more and more racers are opting for a ‘scooter brake’ — a traditional-style lever mounted beneath the clutch lever — or a thumb brake. Both systems can benefit from protection from accidental operation.

Several customers had asked if we’re going to produce a matching clutch lever guard, citing reasons from a loss of control should the clutch lever come into contact with another bike or rider, to aesthetics and a more ‘balanced look’ when using a GBRacing Brake Lever Guard.

In keeping with the GBRacing Brake Lever Guards, this new product is available with 14, 16 and 18mm inserts for the perfect fit to a wide range of aftermarket clip-on tubes.

A growing range of kits to fit OE handlebars currently includes BMW S1000RR 2019>, Honda CBR1000RR, CBR1000RR-R 2004-2022 & CBR600RR 2007-2022 and Yamaha YZF-R1 & YZF-R6 2006-2022. These kits are ideal for riders who wish to keep the standard handlebars without having to make any modifications.

GBRacing extends its brake lever guard range

Following the success of the race-spec GBRacing brake lever guard, its unique design and bespoke sizing options making it a hit with race teams at every level from grassroots club racing to the World Superbike Championship, GBRacing is excited to launch the first products from a new brake lever guard range designed for standard, road-going sportsbikes.

Track day riders — and even some racers — prefer to keep the standard, OE handlebars so a new range of products hit the drawing board earlier this year.

GBRacing launches new BMW and Aprilia products

GBRacing protection for two more European motorcycles is now available. Developed and redesigned in keeping with the latest evolution of BMW’s adventure-sports machine, the incredibly versatile S1000XR, and Aprilia’s most recent iteration of its flagship sports machine, the exotic RSV4.

New Aprilia RS 660 GBRacing engine protection

Comprehensive protection for the Aprilia RS 660

GBRacing is excited to announce the launch of a comprehensive range of engine protection for Aprilia’s middleweight super-twin, the stunning RS 660.

After several months of development and refinement to ensure each secondary cover’s impact and abrasion performance meets the usual GBRacing standards, the design team set about creating aesthetics to complement the Italian’s beautiful lines without compromising functionality and safety.

In addition to the usual alternator and clutch secondary covers, GBRacing’s engineers decided that due to the shape of the engine and vulnerability of certain fluid-containing parts, a water pump cover should be included to add even more protection to the parallel twin-cylinder engine.

With a commitment to protect riders and machines from oil spills, and to assist race stewards and track day operators to minimise stoppages and damage to the track surface, GBRacing is proud to have produced a competitively priced set of secondary engine covers for the Aprilia RS 660 with the same high-quality materials and level of attention to detail as those used by teams at the very highest level of competition.

Yamaha MT-07 Water Pipe Cover And Bullet Frame Sliders

Two bespoke new GBRacing protection products are now available for the popular Yamaha MT-07 and its derivative models, namely the MT-07 Tracer, XSR700, FZ-07 and Ténéré 700.

Following high demand for water pump protection for the twin-cylinder Yamaha engine, a product that was released at the end of March this year, GBracing has now developed a bespoke cover to offer a high level of protection to the vulnerable cooling hoses on the right hand side of the engine. This brand new product uses the same engineering grade, 60% long-glass fibre nylon 6.6 used to create GBRacing’s famous, FIM-approved secondary engine covers.

A Bullet Slider set has also been created to suit these five popular Yamaha models. Using the same energy-absorbing, self-sacrificing design technology as those used in World Superbikes, these cleverly-designed frame sliders offer superb protection to the Yamaha’s tubular frame.

All GBRacing parts are designed to work together — from both practical and aesthetic standpoints — but can be fitted independently of each other allowing the customer to tailor their protection to their own needs.
