Touratech Defensa hand protectors in black

The ultra-robust Touratech Defensa hand protector enters the stage with a new design variant in rich black.

The Defensa Black underlines the brawny look of many current adventure bikes.

With the Defensa, Touratech has opened a new chapter in the field of hand protectors. The two-piece bar, forged from a high-strength aluminium alloy, defies even the toughest stress. The rider’s hands and the handlebar fittings are just as excellently protected during sporty off-road use as they are on demanding expeditions.

What’s more, the Defensa is extremely versatile: while sporty adventure riders simply mount the light metal bar of the “Pure” version, adventure riders upgrade their protectors for mixed use with the extremely effective handguards to the Defensa “Expedition” version. Those who require even more wind protection can extend the protectors with the optionally available “Extension” spoilers.

And last but not least, unlike virtually all other hand protectors available on the market, the Touratech Defensa is manufactured specifically for each model. This means that the aluminium bar sits absolutely precisely and offers the levers exactly the space they require.
The Defensa is now also available in rich black. In this attractive design, the two components of the aluminium bar are not only anodised, but also powder-coated in black. This finish gives an adventure bike a particularly robust look and is also extremely resistant to scratches.

The Defensa Black is available in a model-specific fit for R 1250/ 1200 GS (from 2013) including Adventure models, Harley Davidson RA1250 Pan America, Honda CRF 1100 Africa Twin, numerous Adventure models from KTM, Triumph Tiger 1200 as well as Yamaha Ténéré 700 and World Raid.

Touratech comfort seat for the Harley-Davidson Pan America

Maximum comfort on long stages and optimum ergonomics in all riding situations: the two-piece Touratech comfort seat noticeably enhances the touring capability of the Harley-Davidson Pan America.

With its beefy Revolution Max 1250 engine, track-stable suspension system and generous on-board space, the Harley-Davidson Pan America is made for epic rides. But even a thoroughly successful vehicle like the Pan Am still offers plenty of scope for individualisation and optimisation.

For example, when it comes to the seat: The different statures of riders alone make a compromise in the design of standard equipment unavoidable. Not so with the Touratech comfort seat. This two-part design offers riders a choice of three different heights. And no matter which version is chosen, all the benefits of this seat, which has been manufactured with proven quality craftsmanship for more than two decades, play their part.

Seat core made of ergonomically shaped special foam
For a start, there is the high-grade core made of suitable quality foam, which is specific to the model and does not lose its shape even on the longest stages. The shape of the core is anatomically optimised. This means that not only is the contour completely free of disturbing edges but the special shaping also provides efficient relief for the coccyx and supports an upright sitting position. Thanks to the ingenious shaping of the contour, the Touratech comfort seat has a reduced inner leg curve length so that the rider’s feet reach the ground more easily although the seat height remains the same.

Seat cover with Fresh Touch technology
Through bonding the foam core and the seat cover over the entire surface, these two components are prevented from shifting independently. The result is wonderfully firm seating and optimum power transmission for precise handling. In addition, Fresh Touch technology reflects the infra-red part of sunlight, which results in up to 10 degrees less heat-up of the seat. Unlike other suppliers, Touratech has been using waterproof taped seams for more than 15 years, effectively preventing the penetration of water into the foam core.

Two-part concept with maximum compatibility
Riders opting for the Touratech comfort seat retain full use of the standard height adjustment.

And the Touratech developers have also given a lot of thought to the pillion seat. Here, too, a foam mixture is used that is particularly suitable for long stages. In addition, a modified contour effectively prevents the passenger from sliding forward, considerably increasing the comfort of riding with a partner.

The Touratech comfort seat for the Harley-Davidson Pan America is ideally used as a set, but the rider and pillion seat are also available separately and are compatible with standard components.

New gloves at Touratech

Touratech brings two proven classics from its range of gloves in elegant black. The technical touring glove Guardo Rambler GTX and the summer glove Guardo Desert+ are now “Back in Black”.

Guardo Rambler GTX
The Touratech Guardo Rambler GTX is a 3-season glove with numerous sophisticated technical features. The waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex membrane is complemented by Gore Grip technology, which guarantees a secure grip and excellent tactility. The pre-forming of the glove also adds to this, allowing your fingers to rest, completely relaxed, on the handlebar grips.

The short cuffs are made of 4-way stretch material to give optimal freedom of movement.
Safety is also a top priority for this generously equipped glove. The palm protector is made of shock-absorbing SEESOFT™ Memory Foam, which effectively reduces impact energy in the case of a fall. It is embedded in highly abrasion-resistant TPU, ensuring that the glove glides across the asphalt, should your hand come into contact with it – which significantly reduces the risk of injury. On the back of the hand, hard-shell knuckle protectors made of thermoplastic polyurethane provide the necessary protection. And last but not least, there is the extremely abrasion-resistant goatskin on the palm. For the 2023 season, the Guardo Rambler GTX is available in elegant black.

Offroad prototype Touratech R 1250 GS RR

With the radical prototype R 1250 GS RR, Touratech shows the off-road potential of BMW‘s current boxer GS. Equipped with a 21-inch front wheel, electronic suspension and protector set, the “RR” has already proven itself in demanding terrain

Extremely versatile and really good in all disciplines – with this recipe for success, the current generation of the Boxer-GS has dominated the top class of touring enduros for over 40 years. The Touratech Suspension Team and the developers at Touratech have now been tempted to turn the generalist into a specialist and to exploit the maximum off-road potential of the current GS. The result: the spectacular Touratech R 1250 GS RR.

Off-road without compromise
Indispensable for directional stability in difficult terrain, a 21-inch front wheel forms the heart of this radical off-road conversion. The Touratech team with Lars Würdemann as suspension specialist stored for this a high-strength Excel rim with the original hub. „Since we spoke inwards – as on a Sportenduro – and the nipples had to sit on the rim, we needed special adapters for the hub. That was a lot of work, but the enormous stiffness of the 21-inch front wheel proved us right,“ says Würdemann, describing the challenges.

Standard components complete the enduro concept
As suspension elements, Touratech relies on the latest generation of electronic components from the Touratech Suspension Plug & Travel EVO range in the extra-long version for the R 1250 GS RR. These special shocks are available for the BMW R 1250 GS Adventure or the R 1250 GS with sports suspension in the same configuration on request for end customers. The premium suspension elements in the touring setup are available immediately from the web store.

Numerous other parts from the extensive Touratech product range round off the off-road prototype. The adjustable shift and foot brake levers allow perfect adaptation to the standing driving style. Folding levers for the front brake and clutch minimize the risk of breakage, and the handlebar fittings are given solid protection by the high-strength aluminium brackets of the Defensa protectors.

To achieve the smallest possible overall width for narrow passages, the off-road pros dispensed the engine guard and instead relied on the Touratech aluminium valve cover protectors. The underside of the Boxer is protected from damage by the „Rally“ engine guard made of hydroformed aluminium.

Proven in practice
After extensive testing by the suspension team and use in scouting the Adventure Country Tracks UK (ACT UK) by Touratech CMO Martin Wickert, Touratech put the R 1250 GS RR in the hands of Kevin Gallas. The hard enduro specialist, who has taken out top placings on numerous extreme enduros and has also successfully conquered the legendary Erzberg, took part in the Transitalia Marathon (TIM) with the conversion.

For the tricky navigation through the mountains of the Apennines, the RR received a navigation tower equipped with roadbook holder, tripmaster and GPS device. Kevin was more than enthusiastic about the performance of the GS conversion: „In the off-road area, the front wheel and the road grip were great to assess, and you had great reserves even at high speeds and jumps, as well as on off-road sections and in stone fields,“ sums up the enduro crack.

Valuable findings for the series
The Touratech R 1250 GS RR will remain an unsellable one-off that will be used at selected events. The experience gained will benefit Touratech customers in the form of the semi-active suspension elements in the Touratech Suspension Plug & Travel EVO range and numerous other products available immediately.

Touratech parts for the KTM 390 Adventure

High-quality workmanship, available at a favourable price and suitable for the A2 driving licence – the KTM 390 Adventure is the perfect introduction to the world of adventure bikes.

With tailor-made accessories from Touratech, this easy-to-handle machine can be optimally equipped for journeys near and far.

For almost 25 years, adventure bikes from Mattighofen have proven that the model designation “Adventure” is not a marketing gimmick, but an honest commitment. Since the legendary 620, the Austrians have continued to develop their adventure models with great seriousness, and currently offer six models ranging from 390 to 1290 cubic centimetres.

Perfect base for adventurous tours
Even the entry-level model, the KTM 390 Adventure, provides the perfect basis for having fun on adventurous excursions: a feisty engine, solid spring elements and agile handling. If you are planning to ride the small Adventure off-road or on a longer trip, however, this is where Touratech parts come into play – extra-robust, well-engineered and tested over thousands of kilometres of trails.

Wide range of luggage systems
The Touratech range for the KTM 390 Adventure starts with the robust ZEGA aluminium pannier system, which is attached to an indestructible 18×2 steel tube rack. Several pannier sizes and designs are available. For even more storage space, there is the ZEGA Topcase, mounted to make it trail-proof on a rack with a quick-release fastener. Then there are the tank bags from the Ambato series. Depending on space requirements, there are three variants of this proven line to choose from.

Rugged parts for heavy use
When the going gets rough, the extra-rugged stainless steel engine crash bars come into play, offering effective protection in off-road use. Protectors are also available for the headlight as well as the rear ABS sensor. Also highly recommended for off-road riding are the folding foot brake lever and the folding rear view mirrors.
And last but not least, the 25 millimetre handlebar riser demonstrates its strengths on long stretches that demand a standing rider position. The handlebars are more comfortable to hold, and the rider’s position is much more upright. A better line of sight and less fatigue are the rewards of this small modification.
Wherever you plan to go with the KTM 390 Adventure – accessories from Touratech get the most out of this machine’s great potential.

Touratech KTM 890 Adventure engine guard

In the design of the KTM 890 Adventure engine guard, Touratech relies on the synthesis of two different concepts: An ultra-rugged, folded skid plate is complemented by hydroformed aluminium lateral protectors.

The KTM 890 Adventure is currently one of the sportiest adventure bikes on the market. A twin that is even more powerful than its predecessor model with adventure-oriented characteristics, low weight, as well as fully adjustable suspension elements with long working travel, form the basis of this well thought-through concept. Especially the “R” model variant of the 890 Adventure is just begging to be ridden in sporty style through demanding terrain. Touratech has developed a high-quality range of protectors to ensure that off-road use does not result in any injuries.

The heart piece is the Rally Evo engine guard. Touratech has adapted this engine guard, which was completely redesigned for the previous model, to the current KTM 890 Adventure. For the first time, a three-part construction, consisting of a base plate and two lateral tank protectors, has been used for this protector, which is as robust as it is stylish.

Clever synthesis of two concepts
The base plate, also called skid plate in off-road sports, is made of a high-strength aluminium alloy. For its production, Touratech relies on folding technology, proven in tens of thousands of engine guards, which gives the workpiece additional strength due to its bend-resistant edges. All welding is done by robots to ensure the highest precision.

The lateral tank protectors, on the other hand, are manufactured using the hydroforming process. This technology, in which the aluminium sheet is formed in a tool, using extreme water pressure, enables a complex three-dimensional design allowing the aluminium parts to fit closely to the tank and at the same time have an attractive appearance.

All-round protection and maximum compatibility
The “Rally Evo” engine guard for the KTM 890 effectively offers 360-degree protection for this two-cylinder. The extra-long skid plate provides full protection from the manifolds at the front of the engine to the catalytic converter. A stainless steel reinforcement in the rear part provides additional lateral support. Even severe impacts on rock edges and heavy stones are parried by the “Rally Evo” without complaint.

The tank protectors, which are pulled far up at the sides, reliably cover not only the fuel tank itself, but also the fuel pump and fuel taps.

The frontal intake opening has been retained for effective engine cooling, but can be covered with optionally available grilles to protect against stone chips if required.

Neither ground clearance nor operability of the foot levers are restricted, thanks to the “Rally Evo’s” close-to-the-vehicle lines, and combination with Touratech crash bars is also possible.

Touratech Connect Update

The latest version of the Touratech Connect smartphone app offers a veritable plethora of new functions.

Its use as a real-time display is complemented by extensive analysis, export and sharing features. In addition, the application is now available for numerous other motorbike models.

The smartphone has established itself as an indispensable communication centre in the motorcycle cockpit. Touratech Connect, the new combination of app and hardware component transforms your smartphone into a freely configurable real-time display that provides the rider with a wealth of neatly structured data.

Touratech Connect reads the data from the vehicle’s own sensors directly from the CAN bus and transmits it to the smartphone via an easy-to-pair Bluetooth connection.

Fine tuning and new features
With the latest version of Touratech Connect, on the one hand existing functions have been further improved. It is now possible, for example, to not only display the maximum lean angles comprehensively, but to also differentiate between left-hand and right-hand curves. Certainly a useful feature for fine tuning your own riding technique.

On the other hand, the app has received a lot of additional functions. Particularly interesting is the route tracking, which goes far beyond recording the distance travelled. Tracking starts with every activation of the app. The high-resolution track can be visualised on a map and – here comes the highlight – the recorded parameters can be visualised for each point. By linking vehicle and geodata in this way, the performance of bike and rider can be precisely assigned to specific riding situations on the track.

Points along the route can also be accessed via a slider that corresponds to the timeline of the journey. The GPS module of the smartphone is used for tracking, which also records the altitude. This function can be deactivated at any time.

Sharing with the community
Another new feature is the ability to share data. The user selects a specific data type, for example the switching profile on a track, and can share the corresponding graph along with a map representation of the associated track. This is done via either email, Facebook or Instagram. The format of the screenshot can be adjusted depending on the selected social network.

Even more practical relevance
In response to a frequently expressed request from the beta testers, the Touratech programmers have created the deactivatable “Remember PIN” function so that the user no longer has to re-enter their code after every app start.

Another practical new feature is the ability to export all app data. This means that all determined values are also immediately available on a new smartphone as soon as they have been imported.

Numerous other detailed improvements in data collection and presentation, such as the possibility of labelling data fields, round off this huge range of functions.

Last but not least, Touratech Connect is now available for even more motorbike models. This means that the app now works with all BMW boxer models from model year 2015 onwards. Touratech Connect is available for iOS and Android operating systems. Existing customers will simply receive the new functions free of charge via an update.

New Touratech Connect features
• Route tracking incl. GPX export
• Display of the route on continuously zoomable and rotatable map
• Altitude recording
• Visualisation of data in descriptive graphs
• Sharing of tracks and data via email and social media
• “Remember PIN” function
• Extensive import and export functions
• Switchable labelling of the data fields
• Available for numerous motorbike models

Touratech Suspension launches the new E1 product range

High-quality shock absorbers and replacement springs to update the original equipment – with the new E1 series, Touratech Suspension provides the material for suspension upgrades at a favourable price. And that for an incredibly extensive range of over 400 models.

The performance of the standard suspension on every motorcycle deteriorates after a few years. At first barely noticeable, minor malfunctions start making themselves felt. When braking hard, the machine dips lower, high-speed stability decreases and load changes during sporty cornering become more noticeable. High time for a suspension upgrade.

Suspension tuning from sports bikes to youngtimers
With the E1 product range, Touratech Suspension has what it takes for used motorcycles to regain excellent suspension performance. And this for an incredibly wide range of machines. Cutting-edge street bikes and adventure bikes are just as well catered for as youngtimers and classic bikes.

Shock absorbers and replacement springs
To accommodate this wide range of motorcycles, the E1 series includes mono shocks as well as twin shocks. The E1 series also provides replacement spring sets for the fork and the original shock absorber. The stepless progressively wound springs combine sensitive response with high puncture resistance.

But Touratech Suspension E1 is much more than just a replacement. These high-quality suspension elements are the introduction to the world of professional suspension optimisation and feature very convincing performance data far above the series standard.
For a variety of models, replacement spring sets are also available for lowering the vehicle.

Solidly designed suspension springs exhibiting the best workmanship
Base parts milled from the solid and a generously dimensioned damper rod made of 16 millimetre thick chrome-molybdenum steel form the basis for top performance. A generously designed damper tube ensures optimum heat dissipation so that the temperature balance of the damper remains stable even under heavy use.

Rebound damping of the shock absorbers can be adjusted very finely over the wide range of 50 clicks. Thanks to the progressive spring, the E1 series shocks offer a smooth response coupled with stable riding characteristics. The preload of the spring can be adjusted manually.

All components of the E1 suspension elements are given a high-quality surface treatment, which not only guarantees safe function and exceptional durability, but also gives the spring elements a high-class look.

The E1 series spring elements are manufactured in Europe and come with a two-year “worry-free” warranty. All products have a general operating permit (ABE).

E1 rounds off the portfolio
Touratech Suspension already offers the specialised product ranges Travel for adventure bikes and dual bikes as well as Black-T for custom bikes, scramblers and new heritage bikes. With the E1 series, the portfolio has been greatly expanded and covers the entire range of the most varied motorcycle categories.

Touratech windscreens for the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin

These aerodynamically perfected Touratech windscreens for the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin are available in numerous variants for different uses and types of riders. They provide significantly improved ride comfort and an individual look.

Size, stature, seating position, riding style, off-road or on-road use – no two adventure riders are the same. Windscreen requirements are just as individual. Whereas a touring rider is looking for particularly comprehensive weather protection provided by a high screen, an ambitious off-road rider needs a clear view of the front wheel and a correspondingly low screen. For mixed use, a medium height screen can be a good compromise. And then there is the question of taste: Clear or tinted?

With its extensive range of windscreens for the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin and its sister model Adventure Sports, Touratech matches the pronounced individualism of demanding adventure riders perfectly.

No matter which screen the adventure rider chooses, Touratech top quality will be delivered. A manufacturing process unique in the industry allows Touratech to produce model-specific windscreens in complex shapes. This allows both the design language of the Honda Africa Twin to be incorporated as well as perfect aerodynamics to be realised.

Touratech windscreens are developed using the latest CAD technology and are extensively field-tested. Production is carried out by a specialised partner company in Germany. The acrylic glass used offers a high optical quality, is UV-resistant and shatter-proof.
The high manufacturing quality and the aerodynamically perfect shape guarantee optimal weather protection with minimal turbulence.

Touratech Windscreen Adjustment Pro for Yamaha T7

The Touratech Windscreen Adjustment Pro offers significantly improved weather protection and customisable aerodynamics on board the Yamaha Ténéré 700. This product is easy to install and allows you to conveniently adjust your windscreen height to any one of seven positions with one hand.

“One size fits all” sounds impressively simple, and sometimes works, but often does not do justice to the diverse demands presented by reality. This also applies to the Yamaha Ténéré 700 windscreen. The transparent shield does a respectable job, but is not totally convincing in many situations.

The Touratech Windscreen Adjustment Pro now allows you to realise the maximum of weather protection on board your T7 and still react flexibly to the requirements presented by different riding conditions.

The adjustment adapter is screwed to the original screen fixing and carries the windscreen. Made from a high-quality, black anodised, aluminium alloy, this component with its technical look harmonises perfectly with the rally look of the Ténéré cockpit. The Adjustment Pro is not solely designed for standard screens, it also works with all accessory screens that use the original fixing.

60 millimetre adjustment range
In its lowest position, the windscreen is 12 millimetres higher than standard. The height can be varied by 60 millimetres over a total of seven positions.

While the lowest position is perfect for off-road riding, where you need a view of the front wheel and generally appreciate a cooling breeze, the higher positions allow you to optimise wind protection. The individual adjustment options also allow you to adapt airflow behaviour to suit your own stature and the aerodynamic characteristics of the helmet you wear.

Convenient operation with one hand
The windscreen position is very simple to adjust. Without tools, within fractions of a second and with only one hand. Special springs together with the precisely crafted mechanism guarantee secure locking in each of the seven positions.

The steering lock remains unaffected and, using either the original bracket or Touratech brackets, navigation devices can be attached without restriction.

The Touratech Windscreen Adjustment Pro for the Yamaha T7 is easy to install and requires no registration. Available now in our Webshop or in Touratech bases.

Touratech Accessories for KTM 890 Adventure

To cover the KTM 890 Adventure’s broad range of use, Touratech offers an extensive selection of accessories. This selection includes luggage systems, protectors, ergonomically designed parts and lots of practical accessories.

Luggage systems
For transporting luggage, there is the tried and tested pannier rack made of robust 18 mm stainless steel tubing, which has been perfectly adapted to the geometry of the 890. The rack – available with an electro-polished or black-coated surface – can be fitted with the complete range of ZEGA aluminium panniers. This clever, specially designed system fits tightly around the rear silencer, making particularly efficient use of the space available at the rear and saving on overall width. A topcase rack and luggage plates are also available for securely lashing a luggage roll.
In addition, there is a choice of numerous soft luggage items including three model-specific tank bags and a range of other bags.

Protectors
Of course, robust protector equipment is an absolute must on a meaty enduro like the KTM 790 Adventure. The three-piece Rallye Evo engine guard is designed for tough use. It consists of an extra-robust Skid Plate made of canted aluminium and hydro-formed side panels that hug the engine tightly with their complex three-dimensional design. If you want to continue using the standard KTM engine guard, Touratech offers a Hard Part for reinforcement. A strong bracket made of 25 mm stainless steel tube is responsible for protecting the fairing and the tank. The brand new Defensa hand protectors are, of course, also available for the 890. Thanks to diverse configurations, they can be perfectly adapted to different usage profiles, from hard enduro riding to touring.
Effective protectors for sensors, expansion tanks or headlight round off the selection.

Ergonomics
And, when it comes to ergonomics, the 890 Adventure can also be further upgraded with Touratech Parts. Comfort seats, which are available in three heights, ensure optimum long-distance capability. The Pivot Pegz articulated foot pegs, or wide long-distance foot pegs, and handlebar risers are excellent for off-road use, while the windscreen is a favourite with tour riders.

Riders who don’t like the Adventure’s airy seat height will be thrilled by the 30 millimetre lowering of the suspension.

Accessories
Touratech also offers a huge range of accessories for the KTM 890 Adventure – from adjustable handlebar levers and a professional tool set through to support widening for the legendary kick stand – providing that little extra bit of riding enjoyment and practical benefit.

Touratech Parts for KTM 890 Adventure (selection)
• Stainless steel tank crash bar
• Stainless steel fairing crash bar
• Rally Evo engine guard
• Defensa hand protectors

Touratech Comfort Seat for Yamaha Tenere 700

The new Touratech comfort seat increases the suitability of the Yamaha Ténéré 700 for long distances dramatically. The combination of the particularly high- quality foam core with the ergonomic form results in outstandingly comfortable seating with optimal motorcycle control.

With the Ténéré 700, T7 for short, Yamaha has impressively demonstrated its claim to leadership in the mid-range travel enduro class. Unanimously good tests in the trade press and a rapidly growing fan base are proof that the manufacturer has hit the mark with its concept of a simple, robust, extremely off-road-capable and affordable adventure bike.

The Ténéré 700 has also been ridden frequently on Touratech test tours and was willingly used by all riders. But how could it be otherwise, Touratech experts always find some improvement that could be made, even on the best of bikes. The test riders have identified great potential when it comes to the seat. Too narrow and not enough padding, was the unanimous verdict.

So the development team got to work and transferred the concept of the Touratech comfort seat to the T7. In view of the overall sporty characteristics, the only option was a one piece design.

Ergonomic shape
The seat is wider in the sitting area than the original but tapers towards the front, ensuring close knee contact with the tank and allowing your feet to reach the ground easily.

In elaborate tests, the angle of the seat surface in relation to the horizontal was precisely determined so that the rider‘s pelvis is tilted into an anatomically correct position, relieving the lumbar spine and promoting an upright sitting position.

To enable the rider to master long stages without tiring, this comfort seat has an anatomical contour that effectively prevents points of peak load occurring. The comfortable, firm seat core, made of particularly high-quality foam, ensures even weight distribution and does not loose shape, even after long hours of riding.

While the concave moulding in the middle of the seat relieves the coccyx, the optimally positioned seams avoid the creation of pressure points in the sitting area.

Fresh Touch coating
The bi-elastic, sweat-resistant cover material is completely waterproof. Its Fresh Touch surface coating reflects sunlight, reducing surface heat by up to 10°C compared to conventional cover materials. The roughened surface ensures safe seating even during extreme acceleration and braking manoeuvres.

Like all Touratech comfort seats, the seat for the T7 comes with a plastic shell developed in-house. Replacing the original shell is therefore not necessary. Precisely designed mountings and fastening elements guarantee simple and safe assembly.

Available in three heights
Touratech offers the Yamaha Ténéré 700 comfort seat in three heights with a seat height difference between them of two centimetres, allowing the knee angle to be adjusted to correspond to individual stature. Each seat height has a foam core with suitably adapted properties to ensure maximum comfort even on the longest of stretches.
