Rear Hugger Extension for BMW F900

Wunderlich’s Rear Hugger Extension for the BMW F900R and XR offers much needed extra protection against water, grit and grime thrown up by the rear tyre.

The F900’s very small standard rear hugger leaves the rear shock absorber and linkage, exhaust manifold, gearbox and subframe right in the rear tyre’s firing line, with messy and potentially costly results.

Wunderlich’s Rear Hugger Extension adds 50mm extra width and 135mm to the length, shielding the bike’s rear end and reducing the amount of cleaning required.

Headwear for R nineT from Wunderlich

Wunderlich Cylinder Head Protectors add much-needed cover to the latest generation BMW R nineT family, shielding against the costly and potentially catastrophic effects of impacts, drops and slides.

Made in Germany from hard-anodised aircraft specification aluminium, and tailor-made for the R nineT family, the Protectors form a tough barrier around the  vulnerable cylinder heads, valve and spark plug covers on the Boxer engine.

Multiple mounting points – and flexible 3M rubber bumpers – spread the load of impact evenly and absorb kinetic energy. The protectors also help stop the valve covers from moving and destroying the bolt threads.

Replaceable 16mm-thick pads on each protector add additional shock absorption and help soak up scuffs and scrapes from slides.

Each protector is contoured specially to wrap around the cylinder head, and are designed so they will not protrude and affect ground clearance. Access to the spark plugs isn’t impeded and they can be easily removed for other maintenance.

Smart Tool Box for BMW 1250 GS

Wunderlich’s popular Smart Tool Box is now available to fit BMW R1200 and R1250 GS models without pannier frames.

Waterproof, lightweight, tough and lockable, the Smart Tool Box mounts to the GS’ subframe and provides a handy place to stash tools, first aid and other essentials.

It’s made from strong injection moulded plastic, so weighs less than a metal box and is much more robust than a fabric tool roll.

Fully lockable, it comes in two versions: one supplied with its own keys and the other with a ‘codeable’ lock, which allows it to be operated with the bike’s ignition key.

Though compact  – it measures just 325 x 105 x 230 mm – it’s surprisingly spacious, with a 4.5 litre capacity, more than similar boxes on the market.

A handy rear door means contents can be accessed with soft panniers in place – no need to remove them or disturb contents at the side of the road. The lid has a retaining strap so it can’t accidentally be left at the side of the road too.

Front Mudguard Extender for BMW F900 XR

A simple add-on that makes a significant difference, Wunderlich’s Xtreme Front Extender for the F900 XR provides double protection for BMW’s popular middleweight adventure sports bike.

Wunderlich Cuff Muffs for warm and dry hands

Designed by German BMW specialists Wunderlich, Handlebar Cuff Muffs will keep hands warm and dry on most motorcycles, far more efficiently than bulky winter gloves.

Made from high quality water-repellent and windproof CORDURA®, Cuff Muffs block out rain and wind completely, allowing the use of thinner riding gloves for better feel of the controls and comfort.

New from Wunderlich, Frame Covers close the gaps in the R1250 GS and Adventure’s subframe, protecting rider, passenger and luggage from water spray and detritus thrown up by the rear tyre.

The large openings on both sides of the 1250 GS allow rainwater, grime and other unwanted materials to be flung up from the road and over legs, panniers and/or the bike’s rear end.

The luxury starts with an extra 40mm of width compared to the standard F900 R and XR pillion perch, distributing body weight over a larger surface area to help reduce pressure points.

Wunderlich Box for Boxer Tools

A very clever bit of kit, Wunderlich’s Smart Tool Box uses the space behind BMW R1200 and 1250 GS panniers to carry tools, first aid and other essentials.

Mounted on the back of the nearside pannier rail, the Smart Tool Box is waterproof and light – made from strong injection moulded plastic, it weighs less than a metal box, but is much more robust than a fabric tool roll.

It is also much more secure. Two lockable versions are available, one supplied with its own keys and one that features a ‘codeable’ lock, so it can be opened using the BMW ignition key.

Guard Your Garmin with Wunderlich

Wunderlich’s new Navigation Security Kit offers peace of mind for those with a Garmin Zumo XT fitted to their BMW, helping to guard the expensive sat nav system against would-be thieves.

Worth hundreds of pounds and with no means of securing it to the bike built-in, the Zumo is a tempting, quick and easy steal for an opportunist.

Rocking the Road – BMW R 18 concept

Conjuring a bobber out of the R 18 was the goal for the Wunderlich engineers and the designer Nicolas Petit from the start. Meet the RockBob.

The inspiration came from the BMW R5, which undoubtedly contributed to the creation of the R 18, and is expressed in Nicolas Petit‘s design: portraying the essentials to the extreme. In doing so, he has emphasised the sheer importance of details from start to finish. One example is the brilliant tail end. The fender nestles like a second skin with minimal distance around the 200 size rear wheel, allowing the numberplate holder to be elegantly placed on the left side. The miniaturised 3in1 taillights are so cleverly concealed that one must thoroughly investigate the bike to spot them.

Wunderlich Box Clever with USB

A clever solution to an often tricky problem, the Wunderlich USB Charging Box uses BMW’s navigation mount to provide twin USB on-bike charging.

A true plug-n-play design, the USB Charging Box fits all BMW motorcycles prepared for the standard Navigator V and VI system. It simply plugs into the existing Navigator cradle, taking power from the mount contacts – no new wiring required, no additional ports to purchase, and no cutting holes in bodywork or fiddly brackets to fit.

Once in place the Box gives the rider the option of two standard USB ports – one USB 3.1 type A and one USB 3.1 type C – from which devices can be powered. Both ports meet the ‘Quick Charge’ QC 3.0 and QC 4.0 standards for rapid charging.

A handy blue LED light, located above the two USB slots, shows when the box is providing power.

The Box comes complete with four threaded sockets and screws, which allow the fitment of various mounting and navigation systems – like the popular Garmin Zumo XT – allowing both mounting and charging without additional brackets or cabling.

It’s made using a tough, hybrid material of recycled plastics, reinforced with glass fibres for durability. Once attached, the Box is locked in place, so it can’t be easily removed by thieves.

As you’d expect, it is splash and dust-proof, and when not in use elastomer covers seal the USB slots.

Fairing better on the BMW R18

BMW R18 owners can unlock the long-distance potential of the big Boxer twin – without compromising it’s classic lines – with a neat new Cockpit Fairing from Wunderlich.

Designed, made and hand-finished in Germany, the Cockpit Fairing provides much needed relief from wind buffeting as well as weather protection, whilst blending seamlessly with the retro twin’s classic look.

As you’d expect from Wunderlich, it’s made from the highest quality materials – 5mm thick ABS plastic, manufactured in a deep-drawing process and then precision-shaped on a CNC milling machine, to fit neatly around the R18’s headlight.

Matched perfectly to the bike, it’s painted in Black Storm Metallic and is lined by hand.

Customers have the option to finish off the fairing with either a clear, tint or black screen (available separately). These are also of the highest quality: manufactured in scratch-, UV- and petrol-resistant, 5mm optically-pure PMMA plastic.

Wunderlich fob off keyless bike hackers

A simple and effective security measure, the Wunderlich Keyless Fob Case with RFID Blocker helps keep your bike’s keyless fob protected against sophisticated hacking techniques employed by criminals.

As convenient as keyless operation is for owners, it can leave their machines vulnerable to theft. Thieves use an electronic relay device to intercept the keyless fob’s signal, and ‘trick’ the bike’s on-board computer into disarming the alarm and/or immobiliser, allowing it to be started and ridden away.

This can happen while the machine is parked on the owner’s property, with the key inside the house; the thieves don’t have to touch the machine or key, they simply need to be close enough to intercept the fob’s signal.

Wunderlich’s Keyless Fob Case contains an RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) Blocker, which stops the fob’s signal being broadcast and also radio waves reaching it, preventing unauthorised access and use.

Wunderlich’s Navigation Lock offers peace of mind for BMW RT owners, helping to guard the expensive OE Navigator system against would-be thieves.

The RT’s original sat nav has no way of being secured, so it can be quickly removed by an opportunist when left unattended.

Quick and easy to fit and operate, Wunderlich’s Navigation Lock works with the original BMW central locking system to secure the sat nav automatically; whenever the central locking is activated, the servo motor locks the Navigator in place – no separate keys or fiddly locks.

The lock attaches discreetly beneath the shell of the sat nav unit via a tailored steel bracket. Power comes through original connections, for plug-and-play fitting.
