As Furygan and racing heritage have gone hand in hand since 1969, the French motorcycle protection specialist proudly continues its support in 2024 of British talent across several two-wheel high-level competitions, including the British Superbike Championship (BSB) season starting on 20th April.
Furygan extends its sponsorship of seven racers from the United Kingdom, including six English riders and Isle of Man TT legend Michael Dunlop from Northern Ireland, who will all display the Furygan ‘panther’ on their leathers.
This weekend, the first round of the 2024 British Superbike Championship will take place at Circuito de Navarra, Spain. Max Cook, who had a strong debut season in 2023, is returning with the FS-3 Kawasaki team. Oliver Barr will make his debut in the BSB Supersport premier class on the Binch Racing Yamaha R6.
Two English riders competing in the FIM Junior GP World Championship, includes 17-year-old Eddie O’Shea, and 16-year-old Evan Belford – both competing with Honda.
In the Supersport World Championship (that takes place at almost every Superbike World Championship round), is 28-year-old rider, Tom Booth-Amos of PTR Triumph World Supersport. While 20-year-old Scott Ogden, is racing in the Moto3 World Championship for MLav Racing.
Michael Dunlop, from Northern Ireland, is well known for being an Isle of Man TT legend, with 25 wins to his name. Dunlop is also just one win short of matching his late uncle, Joey Dunlop who achieved 26, and two wins away from becoming the greatest Isle of Man TT racer in history – an accomplishment that appears in reach this year.
Outside the UK, accomplished French MotoGP racer, Johann Zarco, is one of the most notable Furygan sponsored riders.
In 2024, Zarco will look to achieve further success in his first season with CASTROL Honda LCR.

With the new 2024 MotoGP and WorldSBK seasons underway, and BSB racing not far away – now is the time to check racing wardrobes and update kit in preparation of upcoming track days.
All items were developed in Furygan’s racing department in Nîmes, France, with such riders as Johann Zarco (MotoGP) and Isle of Man TT legend Michael Dunlop providing the real-life testing knowledge needed to perfect the innovative technologies and kit for track use…
Overtake
The Overtake is the top-of-the-range suit that was developed over three years in conjunction with the same elements used to develop those worn by Furygan’s MotoGP and WorldSBK riders.
With an RRP of £129.99, the Styg15 Lady gloves come in sizes XS-XL and are available in: Black/Pink.
Racing Rain Suit
The Racing Rain Suit protects riders from wet weather and the cold, while maintaining the looks, comfort and safety requirements that are needed to perform on track – something that might be of use with the fickle English weather.
This oversuit complements racing suits by being tight fitting and superior thanks to its numerous stretch zones between the legs, above the knees and the seat for better fit and comfort. Most of all, it limits water infiltration without hindering your movements.
With an RRP of £169.99, the Racing Rain Suit comes in sizes S-M.
Tanker bag
Furygan’s Tanker bag is sturdy and organised for use on holiday – or for loading up the van to carry gear to track days.
The Tanker bag offers ease of use in a number of ways – the first being the spacious and adaptable main compartment that divides into two for better organisation. To keep documents easily accessible when travelling, there are two travel pockets for your convenience. Carrying is made easy with five handles – including a lightweight, retractable, aluminium handle to pull the Tanker bag. Additional comfort is supplied by silent rolling rubber wheels.
With an RRP of £249.99, the Tanker bag comes in a single size, a capacity of 133/166 litres and dimensions in centimetres measuring: L40xW83xH40 (50 with the additional gusset).
Knee Sliders
Often the performance is in the details – which is why Furygan’s Knee Sliders were developed for racers and casual riders alike.
Giving knees additional protection when on track and helping to improve cornering skills, these polyurethane knee sliders are attractive and eye-catching – with the iconic Furygan ‘panther’ logo graphic available in red, white or black. The material underpinning the slider features the Furygan writing in white on a black background.
With an RRP of £44.99, the Knee Sliders come in a single size and are available in three colourways: Black/Red, Black/White and Black/Black.
D3O® Race L2 Elbows
New for this year and developed in conjunction with D3O®, the Race L2 Elbows are RACE range protectors for the most intensive use and tested by riders in all championships. More enveloping, more breathable and more protective for track use.
The Furygan and D3O® partnership offers a wide range of certified level 1 and 2 protections. These include protectors for the elbows, shoulders, back, metacarpals, malleolus, hips and knees. D3O® offers the world’s most advanced impact protection, soft and flexible material for unmatched comfort – plus flexibility and ergonomics whether on or off-road.
With an RRP of £24.99, the D3O® Race L2 Elbows are available in a single size as a pair.

Having the right equipment and accessories for riding on track is of vital importance, with safety, comfort and – of course – looks all priorities. French motorcycle protection specialist Furygan has developed their racing range with learnings taken from racers, including their MotoGP rider Johann Zarco and Isle of Man TT legend Michael Dunlop, to provide all track riders with kit of the highest level that utilises innovative technologies. Overtake
The result of three years of research dedicated to finding the perfect ergonomics for on track riding, the Overtake suit utilises the same elements as developed by Furygan’s MotoGP and WorldSBK riders.
Developed in Furygan’s racing department for their Moto3 riders, this updated design has resulted in a weight saving of 11%. No compromises have been made though, with great care taken to choose materials that maintain a good feeling with the track but don’t reduce their durability.
With over 50 years of experience in designing and manufacturing protective clothing for motorcycle riders, Furygan introduces an ultra-versatile, autonomous and universal airbag system for 2021. The new Furygan x In&motion Airbag vest can be worn under any motorcycle jacket and is available in UK dealers now.
In a joint collaboration with In&motion, the new Furygan Airbag vest offers high-performance and easy-to-use technology in a ventilated, thermo-regulating waistcoat that can be worn under any type or brand of motorcycle jacket. It’s the only airbag on the market equipped with a Level 2 CE-approved D3O back protector as standard, as well as dedicated slots for optional D3O LNR Chest Protectors.
The Furygan Airbag System uses In&motion’s innovative In&box unit as the vest’s ‘brain’ which measures the position of the users more than 1000 times per second and works with an algorithm that triggers the inflation of the airbag if it detects you’re in an accident. The detection of the accident and the inflation of the airbag take less than 60 milliseconds. Thanks to continuous data analysis from thousands of riders across the world, the In&box algorithm is constantly evolving allowing for smart performance updates and optimisations for the end-user. Providing next-level protection with its smart inflation chambers, positioned to cover key risk areas including the neck, chest, spine and abdomen.
Suitable for everyday road use – but also in off-road and track scenarios thanks to the optional adventure and track modes – the Furygan Airbag vest has been constructed with ultra-stretch and breathable material to ensure a comfortable fit for all body shapes. On the front, there are large vented front panels for ultimate breathability, plus a 3D mesh lining that helps to regulate body temperature in all seasons.
How much does it cost?
The Furygan Airbag vest can be purchased from Furygan-approved stockists for £379.99 plus a monthly subscription cost for In&motion. Unlike many competitor products, ensuring the airbag isn’t damaged, the vest can be reset at home by simply removing the discharged inflator unit housed in the back protector and replacing it with a new one – RRP £90. There is no need to send off the vest to be reset by Furygan until the third inflation and/or the vest is damaged.
Users are offered two In&box purchase options; a one-off In&box purchase with 2 years warranty as standard, or an In&box rental subscription for £120 per year, or £12 per month, that comes with exclusive benefits. In&box subscription users receive unlimited warranty*, the option to pause their subscription at a low cost** when not riding or cancel their subscription by returning the In&box to In&motion. For users’ peace of mind, In&motion offer servicing for users’ existing In&box if any problems occur. If the problem cannot be resolved remotely, a replacement In&box will be available either in-store or delivered to the user’s home. After three consecutive years of rental, riders can receive a free upgrade to the latest generation of In&box, subject to availability, or have the option to buy the In&box device for a discounted rate of £99.
Street, Adventure and Track mode
The In&motion ‘brain’ is loaded with road mode as standard, with two additional modes available; Track and Adventure.
Furygan is proud to have been the official equipment supplier for the 2021 Dakar Rally and the choice of protection for riders during the event, and now, Furygan and In&motion make its state-of-the-art technology available for every rider with the new Adventure mode. Suitable for sporty riding in a soft enduro environment with small jumps, the new Adventure Mode available on the Fury Airbag System will help riders who enjoy venturing off the beaten track stay protected in the areas often left vulnerable in the event of a crash or impact.
Track mode adjusts the In&box algorithm to suit more aggressive acceleration and deceleration, as well as more extreme lean angles and sharper directional changes.
Both track and adventure mode are optional extras, available for an additional monthly fee of £8 or £25 per year each. The numerous modes can be easily selected via the user-friendly – and free – In&motion app, available for iOS and Android.
* The guarantee of the In&box only applies if the system is used in the appropriate conditions.
** £4/month instead of £12/month in case of suspension; does not require a return of the In&box.

French motorcycle clothing brand, Furygan, has partnered with In&Motion to introduce the Fury Airbag system, an airbag vest which zips inside Furygan jackets to help keep riders even better protected – available in UK dealers now.
Compatible with 2019 and 2020 Furygan jackets with the airbag connect logo, each jacket features an additional inner zip allowing users to zip the Fury Airbag into position. It can also be used with existing, compatible leather garments by removing the thermal lining and replacing with the vest. It takes less than 15 seconds to connect or disconnect.
Invisible from the outside, the design of the vest means it fits every body shape and is comfortable to wear. The 3D Mesh technology used to construct the vest creates a thermal bridge between the outside temperature and the body. The breathable material at the sides is used to offer stretch and comfort.
Designed to protect the neck, back, chest and abdomen areas, the Fury Airbag protects areas often left vulnerable in the event of a crash or impact.
How does it work?
The Fury Airbag uses the innovative In&Motion unit as the vest’s ‘brain’, which measures the position of the user 1000 times per second and works with an algorithm that’s always improving with the more data it’s given. If the algorithm believes that you are in an accident, it deploys and the bag is inflated immediately in just 60 milliseconds.
The airbag stays inflated to prevent any resulting injury and to protect the user from any further injuries after the accident.
The system – which takes three hours to fully charge – will offer up to 25 hours of active riding and 15 days on Auto standby mode, and once connected with Wifi or mobile data, will automatically look for updates.
There are different modes for road and track. David Robert, Communication and Marketing Manager at Furygan explains: “Putting it into perspective, braking on a MotoGP bike from the long straight at Mugello causes the same force and level of deceleration as a scooter hitting a car at 50kmph, so it’s important to tell the computer what it should expect as ‘normal’.”
The inflation module itself is housed above the CE-approved back protector integrated into the back of the vest. Not only does this offer extra back protection, but it also ensures that the inflator itself doesn’t cause injury.
What happens to reset it?
The vest can be reset at home by simply removing the discharged inflator unit housed in the back protector and replacing it with a new one. The free In&Motion App has a handy video guide for the first time. There is no need to send off the vest to be reset by Furygan.
How much does it cost?
The Fury Airbag vest with the In&Motion ‘brain’ has an RRP of £379.99, whilst the Airbag inflator has RRP £89.99.
See it in action with live demonstrations happening at EICMA between 5-10 November in Hall 11, stand R18, and at Motorcycle Live in Birmingham between 16-24 November on the Furygan stand – 3C15.
