Your legs and feet are particularly exposed on a motorbike, which is why iXS has been looking for optimal solutions for foot protection. The aim: A higher level of safety with simultaneous further development of functionality and comfort. The high-level requirements have now become a reality with the new Tour Boot Techno-ST+. This was made possible by using the latest micro-injection technology.

In this new process functional KPU plastics are injected directly into the fabric structure. Therefore reinforcements at the ankles, the gear change area and at other important points can be incorporated seamlessly into the outer material. This enabled annoying crossovers, material overlaps and hollows to be eliminated, which in addition to greater safety leads to a welcome weight reduction and increased comfort. Micro-injection technology also offered new options in terms of appearance. The design looks light and sporty with a futuristic touch.

A real plus in well-being is provided by the newly developed iXS Comfort Pad – ergonomically shaped calf padding that can be adjusted individually in height. This means the optimal fit can be found for every calf – in line with the slogan of a «Perfect Fit». Additional fine-tuning can be carried out via the calf width adjustment with a Velcro fastening on the inside.

The solto-TEX® Plus membrane with optimised breathability provides the perfect climate for your feet combined with the microfibre/textile mix and the KPU micro-injection technology. The solto-TEX® Plus membrane offers water- and wind-proofing with optimal breathability. This means that water remains on the outside, while perspiration can escape unhindered in the form of steam. Your feet will therefore stay dry both in the rain and in the heat and remain at a pleasant temperature. What more could you want?

Another highlight in the truest sense of the word is the all-over reflective material. When it’s dark, the entire boot reflects light and therefore helps the wearer to be seen at an early stage by other road users. In view of the many sizes ranging from 36 – 48, the Tour Boot Techno-ST+ is also an option for ladies.

With an extensive lineup of sportive jackets and an ever-growing roster of leather jackets in our Heritage Innovation collection, our designers on both ends joined forces to bring something that brings out the best of both worlds: meet the REV’IT! Glide Vintage.

We’ve been an active participant inside the modern-day motorcycle custom scene since it ignited at the beginning of last decennium. We’ve seen it grow from only customized classics to a blend of classic and heritage-inspired motorcycles straight from the factory. And with many riders jumping in from other segments, the urge for crossovers rose.

Whereas classic motorcycle enthusiasts are likely to go Fonzie, it’s typically the performance-driven rider that wants something stylish that doesn’t necessary cover up its technical specs quite as much. It’s basically the starting point for the Glide Vintage.

BATTLE OF THE DESIGNERS
With collections launching simultaneously, our designers separately put their heads down to come up with new products within their designated segments. That said, it’s not uncommon to see the opposition of ideas when working on new creations.

Then again, it was a clash between Adventure and Urban designers that led to our wildly popular Trench GTX jacket, and this time around, it was a showdown between our Sport and our Urban designers who both met in the middle coming from different requirements.

Within our Sport collection, the new Glide jacket catered to the desires of a slightly toned down, less-hardcore-race-fit sportive jacket. Whereas the Glide Vintage came from the other side of the spectrum, where heritage-inspired riders demanded a little more visual performance from their next favorite riding jacket. We’ll stick to the Glide Vintage here and we’ll run you through its features.

LUSCIOUS LEATHER
In order to achieve the ideal balance of visual performance and heritage style, picking the right leather was crucial in keeping the Glide Vintage on point when it came to aesthetics.

Whereas its sport-oriented Glide sibling is constructed with cowhide similar to that used in our sports collection, the Glide Vintage is carried out in a stylish buffalo leather which already shows signs of aging.

It’s exactly what you’re looking for to keep it casual. This highly abrasion-resistant leather type breaks in easily, while it gets that distinguished worn look over time.

And you’ll be happy to hear you can accelerate the aging process by wearing it multiple seasons thanks to the detachable thermal bodywarmer.

Thanks to extensive in-house work by our R&D department, we created our CE-rated SEESMART™ protectors. And ever since they saw the light of day, they’ve helped transform many motorcycle jackets into casual-looking, fashion-fitting garments without compromising safety.

IXS Rain Suit Orca Reflex – Definitely Stay Dry

The large reflective inserts on the Orca Reflex rain suit from IXS are made of a very special innovative material which is fully reflective in diffuse light conditions or in a beam of light when it’s dark.

Staying dry when riding a motorbike is not a luxury, but an important requirement so you can continue to concentrate in difficult road conditions. High-quality rainwear designed for motorbike riding should therefore be part of your basic equipment. It protects us against the wet and therefore against feeling uncomfortable and cooling down.

Poor visibility goes hand in hand with rainy weather. Therefore good visibility for rainwear has a particularly important protective function. The Orca Reflex rain suit from iXS uses an innovative, extensive reflective material. In daylight the suit looks aesthetically appealing in black-grey, while the grey material reflects the light in a bright light sliver when it’s dark.

The suit is fitted with a long labyrinth fastening to guarantee its core function of providing rain protection. In addition, all the seams are welded to be watertight. A special mesh lining has been incorporated in the upper part for easy handling. It makes it easier to put it on or take it off quickly when the weather changes suddenly. The same purpose is also satisfied by the zip closures on the legs and the long, diagonal front zip.

IXS Tour Jacket Flex-ST

The Tour Jacket Flex-ST with a discrete sporty design is not only a feast for the eyes, but also provides reliable protection against the wind and rain with its solto-TEX® 2-layer Z-liner membrane. The show-stopper is a variable size-adjustment system (SIZE-ADJUST-SYSTEM), which guarantees comfortable movement and ensures an optimal fit under a wide range of conditions.

Perfectly fitting clothing for motorbike riding is a «must-have» for several reasons. In the event of a fall, the only «crush zone» is between the rider and the tarmac. Protectors protect exposed parts of the body such as the shoulders, elbows and knees and should fit closely to the body so that they don’t move out of position. Motorbike clothing should therefore be neither too big nor too small and should adapt perfectly to the shape of the body. Quite apart from this, a motorbike tour is simply more fun if your clothing fits properly.

The new #ixs Tour Jacket Flex-ST has a particularly flexible fit owing to the new SIZE-ADJUST-SYSTEM! Two circumferential zips from the jacket waist band at the front over the shoulders to the jacket waist band at the back make additional widths possible. Now, even a thick quilted jacket for cold days will fit underneath this jacket! Alternatively, the jacket will also still have a perfect fit when the thermal lining is taken out on hot days. Fluctuations in the rider’s weight can also be balanced out with different adjustments of the Tour Jacket Flex-ST. By opening or closing the zips, the width of the jacket can be adjusted by up to 8 cm. Therefore an #ixs Perfect Fit!

The Tour Jacket Flex-ST is also flexible to deal with temperature fluctuations and can remain in use all year round. The removable thermal lining ensures this on the one hand. It’s fitted with a side stretch so that it is compatible with the jacket’s SIZE-ADJUST-SYSTEM. A breathable net lining and a back protector pocket in 3D-mesh ensure improved moisture transport towards the outside and therefore an optimal body climate. If temperatures rise, six ventilation openings are available so that additional fresh air can be provided, if necessary.

High-quality Level 2 protectors at the shoulders and elbows as well as a fully-fledged back protector, which satisfies the latest CE safety standards, are part of the series equipment. The reflective transfer prints promote safety and are simultaneously attractive style elements. There is sufficient space to accommodate bits and pieces in the four outer pockets and the additional inner pockets. The sizes range from S to 5XL.

Of course I try to find the best compromise between black and red and the logos, and which logos I would like to use, then Alpinestars looks for the best solutions and gives me some different options. The Alpinestars MM93 collection is a real collaboration between my staff, my designer here in Spain, together with all Alpinestars designers in Los Angeles and in Asolo, Italy. In the end, I always choose the best collection designs together with Alpinestars’ President, Gabriele Mazzarolo, and the Alpinestars staff to make sure it becomes a great MM93 capsule collection, especially because we focus on taking care of all the small details.”

Enduro gloves have to satisfy a particularly wide range of requirements: They have to be light and flexible and yet still provide good protection to riders in every situation. The iXS Tour LT Glove Montevideo-Air S was developed for the varied Enduro lifestyle. The iXS development team spared no effort in guaranteeing extreme resistance and complete coverage from the fingers to the end of the cuff.

Ventilated TPR protectors for the hand and knuckles provide simultaneous protection and unlimited freedom of movement; they protect against stones and twigs, while the wide cuff with Velcro fastening keeps the wrists safe from a sudden impact. Through additional safety-relevant elements such as the cuff with a TPU moulded part or the leather reinforcement on the base of the thumb, this Enduro glove also offers good protection on asphalt. The evidence for this is that it complies with the EN13594:2015 test standard.

At the same time, keeping a perfect grip was also considered to be extremely important. The long-lasting Amara material is soft and comfortable and stands out because of its excellent grip properties. In conjunction with the light textile inner lining, the result is extremely good grip when braking, operating the clutch and accelerating. Contact to the handlebar and front wheel is superb, largely due to the finger side walls made of stretch fabric that is very comfortable.

The airy 3D Airmesh material on the thumbs, fingers and cuffs together with the knuckle and finger protectors with air inlets ensure that the ventilation is optimal.
