Weise Diablo leather jacket

The Devil’s in the detail of the latest sports leather jacket from Weise, which takes its inspiration from Peter Hickman, who won three races at this year’s Isle of Man TT wearing their kit.

Made from natural cowhide leather with a waxed finish, the Diablo includes many features found in racing leathers. Spidi – Bolide

The Spidi Bolide is a motorcycle jacket for sportbike riders who want the best possible protection options without wearing a full leather race suit.

The Bolide is a CE prEN 17092-2:2017 Class AAA certified jacket with external Warrior shields on the shoulders and elbows, removable internal Warrior Lite Protectors (EN 1621-1 Level 1) in the shoulders, and Force-Tech protectors (EN 1621-1:2012) in the elbows.
For additional protection, there is an internal arrangement for either a level 1 or 2 Warrior back protector, and a Warrior chest protector, both sold separately. The primary chassis of the Spidi Bolide is 1.1 to 1.2 mm thick cowhide leather with high-tenacity elastic Flex Tenax Nylon 6.6 flex sections.

Both zip and clips are provided for attaching pants, and there’s an adjustable waist fastening to ensure a perfectly tailored fit.

SPIDI was born in the most important district for leather processing. Tanning in the Chiampo Valley boasts roots in the fifteenth century when farmers themselves began to tan and sell leathers. The beginning of the industrial process of tanning can be dated to the ‘800s; it’s towards the middle of the twentieth century that the art of tanning invades the whole valley, thanks to the electromechanical development, and counting now over 700 factories in that industry.

Almost six hundred years of tradition, innovation and research allow SPIDI using the finest leathers from around the world, wisely worked in this district in northern Italy, where tanning handed down for generations and where the common goal is to continue to refine the tanning process of leathers that will then be used in a variety of categories, such automotive, footwear, clothing and more. Designed with sport and street bike riders in mind, the Ascari is tailored for a close fit and features Velcro® retained sleeve adjusters to reduce billowing, plus an aerodynamic ‘race hump’ to smooth out airflow over the head and neck.

Spidi Carbo Track EVO

The Spidi Carbo Track EVO gloves are the new and improved version of the popular Carbo Track gloves, the EVO variant includes the EN 13594:2015 KP Lev.1 certification and a competition-spec gauntlet chassis.

The story of Spidi, rooted in the tradition of artisan leather craftsmanship, began in northeast Italy.

In 1977, Spidi’s founder Renato Dalla Grana produced early models of leather gloves with a singular vision of motorcycle apparel.

These gloves were specially designed to improve safety and riding performance on two wheels. Until this time, no one else had thought of designing and building a pair of gloves specifically for motorbikes, nor with the technical features to meet the comfort and protection needs of the motorcyclist. For more than forty years, Spidi has realized inimitable gloves with unique know-how kept alive by great entrepreneurial passion and love of motorcycling.

The first motorcycle glove manufactured in the Spidi workshop burst onto the scene in 1977. Crafted by masters in leather manufacturing, a Spidi racing glove is a work of art! The perfect result of both style and technology. 1978 brought us the first Spidi ergonomic racing glove. It was reinforced, in subsequent years, by metal studs on the palm of the hand. Spidi gloves are made with inner stitchings both for protection and to exponentially increase resistance to abrasion and tearing. In the ‘90s, Spidi introduced synthetic materials to riding gloves. With the gauntlet, the design of the glove evolved and became an aerodynamic extension of the suit. Spidi continued its experimentation with the first applications of thermoformed composite material, like carbon, and the use of air vents.
In 2000, Spidi introduced plaques made by materials compressed at high pressure, designed to better adapt to the hand’s anatomic features. Below this, Spidi shock absorbers silicon inserts. Nowadays wearing a Spidi’s glove means wearing more than 40 years spent in research and innovation.

Carbo Track EVO have been crafted using a race-tested combination of premium cowhide leather and high-tenacity Keramide reinforcements, with Superfabric® details on the fingers, abrasion resistant suede microfiber, and carbon fiber knuckles shields.

The leather sections of the glove are perforated to keep the hands cool and dry, and the thick gauntlet wrist closure keeps the gloves firmly fastened without pinching or bunching. The back of the hand is reinforced with Keramide for additional safety, and Warrior Tech armor is used throughout to ensure the best possible protection.

Spidi Netrunner is a new, technologically advanced design that was developed to offer excellent protection to motorcyclists operating in warm and tropical climates. Significant ventilation is offered by the large mesh panels on the mid-chest, upper chest, arms and back, allowing air to flow directly to cool the rider without compromising on safety.

Dainese has launched the Dainese Experience, the project that gives all fans of the Vicenza brand the chance to experience dynamic sports in unique ways. The Dainese Experience will kick off on 17 April with the Riding Master class at Misano Adriatico.

The Dainese Experience is made up of different types of classes including those dedicated to safe riding and those on the track, adventure trips to one-of-a-kind locations, and exclusive weekends revolving around racing events ‒ such as MotoGP and Ski World Cup competitions ‒ giving sports enthusiasts who share the same passion an opportunity to get together.

The Dainese Experience will debut with the Riding Master class on 17 April at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. This class is aimed at all motorcycle fans, from absolute beginners to aspiring professional riders. The master classes will be divided into different riding levels and will be led by qualified instructors.

The Dainese VR46 Class will provide the exclusive opportunity to ride the Misano circuit together with living legend Valentino Rossi for the first time. The lucky participants will benefit from time with the nine-time World Champion, who will share the talent and experience that led him to become the most successful professional rider in motorcycle racing today. The event is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn Vale’s techniques and secrets so that the participants can improve their lap times and riding style. Tickets for the VR46 Class will be auctioned off and the proceeds will be donated to the Marco Simoncelli Foundation.

The Champions Class brings motorcycle fans to the track with the VR46 Riders Academy professionals, champions who hold the Dainese flag high in the MotoGP World Championship. Franco Morbidelli, Luca Marini, Lorenzo Baldassarri, and Marco Bezzecchi will be the world-class instructors. The Champions Class is perfect for those who already have track experience and want to discuss advanced riding techniques directly with the professional riders, taking advantage of the talent they share with the participants.

The Dainese Riding Master class is split into Racing Classes and Safety Classes. The Racing Classes consist of five riding sessions with qualified instructors and are designed for those who already have excellent skills on the bike. This is their opportunity to make their first foray on the track or hone their braking and cornering techniques. The Safety Classes are designed for less experienced riders who want to familiarise themselves with the basics of riding or gain confidence on their bike while enjoying a fun day, in total safety.
