Win a AGV K3 SV or AGV Compact

K3 SV

The K-3 SV was developed with the experience gained during the design process of the Pista GP, Corsa and GT Veloce. Thanks to the use of Finite Element Analysis (FEM), the technical department developed a benchmark product in terms of comfort, aerodynamics and safety. The K3SV has a wide appeal and is suitable for all riders looking for comfort and high performance characteristics.

Thanks to Computational Fluid Dynamics analysis and wind tunnel testing, the integrated ventilation system provides maximum airflow to the head (through three front vents, chin vent, side vents, and two extractors at the back of the helmet), and the aerodynamics minimize drag, lift and noise, and ensure stability even at racetrack speeds. Two shell sizes and four EPS sizes give the K3SV a generic fit that is both plush and incredibly comfortable (plus AGV’s unique solution of offering both specific MS and ML sizes).

Compact

Compact is the new top-of-the-range flip-up helmet from AGV. This Compact is as much intended for touring as for urban use and comes richly equipped as standard. This makes it the leader in its segment for comfort, safety and functionality. Thus, the Compact is ideal for those wanting the look and safety of a full face helmet and the freedom of an open face. The compact also boasts some first class technical innovations with comfort at the top of the list. The seam free Lycra® crown pad features breathable micro-perforations and has a concave 3D layout pre-formed as a single component to match the exact shape of the rider’s head. The Dry-Comfort cheek pads ensure excellent protection against draughts and noise. The Compact is P/J homologated thanks to having passed the relevant tests with the chin guard closed (as a full face helmet) and with the chin guard open (as a jet helmet). To release the chin guard when in full face mode, the rider has to press a single button downwards. (This type of mechanism prevents the chin guard from accidentally opening in the event of an impact.) The chin guard can also be locked in the open position for prolonged use in jet mode.

AGV DIESEL OLD JACK CAMOUFLAGE

This new DIESEL jet helmet has a strong retro look with young innovative graphics that create an unmistakable style. The use of genuine DIESEL fabrics applied, visible, to the shell make the Old-Jack both unique and inimitable. There is more however to this helmet than an innovative look. The Old-Jack comes out at the top of its segment for safety and protection thanks to the ACF (Advanced Composite Fibre) shell, which guarantees excellent resistance to impacts. The internal components in sanitised Dry-Comfort material can be removed and washed. A transparent tinted peak comes supplied with each Old-Jack helmet.

AGV Corsa The Valentino Rossi Double Face Helmet

The new Moto GP season starts!

At the official tests in Sepang Valentino Rossi amazed everyone with a brand new helmet for the first laps of 2014. As usual “The Doctor” showed no lack of originality and never ceases to surprise us with his ideas.

After the more conservative yellow and grey AGV Pista GP that he wore during last year’s Winter Tests to match the colour scheme of his bike until the final livery had been decided upon, the new helmet that was exclusively created for the Malaysia track is simply spectacular.

The designer, Aldo Drudi, included the famous Sun and Moon symbol Valentino carried during the 2013 World Championship Series. This time however, he inverted things by 180° with the front and rear apparently the same. From behind it looks as if Valentino’s face is peering out from behind a visor almost as if to taunt his adversaries.

By means of the message  “I have my eyes on you”, the Tavullia rider appears to be clearly stating his intention to get back in the game, reclaim his name as the best in the world and finally win his 10th World Championship title.

The Corsa limited edition replica will be available from June costing £799. To order, visit your local TeamAGV dealer, to find your nearest dealer visit:www.agv.co.uk/dealer-search

Exclusive Scoop! – Monster Energy logo on Vale’s replica

For the first time we’ll see the logo of the world’s biggest energy drink on the chin guard and sides of his helmet. The unique and captivating M of Monster Energy is shown in lime green stylised flames with white shading around the edges. Monster Energy has sponsored vale since 2009 when he was one of the first European Sports stars. At that time, the president of Monster Energy said: “Striving for greatness” has always been our motto and we share this belief with a true champion – Rossi”.

Corsa:
The Corsa has the performance of the Pista GP and the characteristics of a helmet for road and track use. Unlike the Pista GP, the Corsa comes with a system for opening and closing the air vents, which makes it a less extreme, more versatile helmet.  The SSL Carbon/Aramid/Fiberglass shell has the same silhouette and aerodynamic properties as the Pista GP and utilises the same revolutionary custom-fit interior.Hand made in Italy with protection of the environment: the Corsa is designed and made in Italy by highly qualified craftsmen using the very latest technology. The helmets are manufactured using the best technologies with great effort invested in protecting the environment. Waterjet technology is used to cut the SSL shells, the painting system uses eco-compatible water based paints and a dust suppression/residue treatment system is in operation throughout the entire factory.

The AGV GT Veloce Achieves 5 Stars Sharp Rating

The AGV GT Veloce helmet achieves 5 stars in the SHARP rating system and becomes one of the 310 safest helmets in the world.

On 14 February, after 32 tests, the Safety Helmet and Assessment Rating Programme (SHARP) team awarded the  AGV GT Veloce helmet with the maximum score for safety: 5 stars.

The SHARP programme was started in 2007 by the UK Department of Transport, aiming to provide all motorcyclists  with an independent safety assessment regarding many of the helmets available on the market. The Department’s  research demonstrated that 50 lives could be saved each year if all motorcyclists wore helmets with high SHARP  scores.

The AGV GT Veloce has now rightly become one of the safest helmets worldwide.

This important recognition to the AGV GT Veloce was achieved thanks to the application of AGV’s revolutionary  design and engineering process “EXTREME STANDARD H “EXTREME STANDARD HELMETS”. This extremely innovati ELMETS” ve construction  system is based on the “Human Engineering” concept and applies a new design process, which starts from the  inner components that are in direct contact with the head and gradually moves to the outer shell. As a result, the  helmet is designed around the riders’ head, therefore providing maximum comfort, ergonomics, safety and  aerodynamics. In fact, AGV EXTREME STANDARDS HELMETS, including the GT Veloce, use Finite Elements Analysis  (FEM) to set new standards with regard to safety, comfort and ergonomics.

The GT Veloce was specifically designed for GT and Sport Touring purposes and to create a comfortable, compact,  noise free helmet, providing as well a highly efficient ventilation system, a wide field of vision and a dedicated  intercom system.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

  • Outer shell in 4 sizes made from laminated SSL (fibreglass and aramid).
  • Inner shell in EPS in 4 sizes
  • IVS (Integrated Ventilation System) with large air ducts on the shell and vents which direct air flow to the rider’s  head.
  • Ventilation system designed and optimised in a wind tunnel and consisting of 4 front vents (3 at the front and  one on the chin guard) and 2 rear exhaust vents.
  • Air vents with an open/close mechanism. Total surface area of air vents 193% greater than on the GP-Tech
  • New metal visor mechanism with two-stage pivot closure. Quick release system for tool-free removal and  replacement of the visor in seconds.
