MOTOREX updates and restructures its Moto Line Chain Care products

Langenthal – Cleaning, care, lubrication: The Swiss care product and lubricant specialist is now adopting the tried-and-tested three-step approach familiar from its successful BIKE LINE range in its MOTO LINE product portfolio.

The two existing steps, CLEAN and CARE, are being supplemented by a third: LUBE. MOTOREX is also updating the product design with a focus on improving clarity. Other highlights include the two chain sprays CHAINLUBE ROAD and CHAINLUBE RACING that now feature an optimised formulation.

Greater clarity to make it easier to find the desired product: MOTOREX has updated and restructured its range of motorcycle cleaning and care products. Analogous to the way the BIKE LINE portfolio for bicycles is structured, the MOTO LINE range is now divided into three steps too: 1. CLEAN, 2. CARE and – recently added – 3. LUBE. The cleaning, care and lubrication products for motorised two-wheelers now sport a completely revamped design as well. Not only have the labels been given a fresh new look; a so-called performance box on the back of the pack provides a clear and concise summary of the product’s specific features and benefits.  The prominently placed numbers 1, 2 or 3 indicate at a glance which category the product belongs to.

In addition, the CHAINLUBE ROAD and CHAINLUBE RACING chain care sprays now feature an improved basic formula. The result is even better creep properties and optimised sling-off behaviour. The benefits of both CHAINLUBE variants have recently been demonstrated in extensive field testing. The popular online platform 1000ps.com invited their readers to apply as testers. Ten each were selected by the editorial team to test the new MOTOREX CHAINLUBE variants over a period of 2.5 months of intensive use in everyday road traffic or on the racetrack.

LIQUI MOLY with new Motorbike Chain Spray Race

LIQUI MOLY with new Motorbike Chain Spray Race at Anniversary Edition of EICMA 2023.

On occasion of the 80th edition of the motorcycle trade show, LIQUI MOLY will be showcasing the new Motorbike Chain Spray Race and the variety of its motorbike range

As a specialist in chemical products for bikes, LIQUI MOLY will once again be exhibiting its extensive product range at this year’s EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan. Highlights this time: The new Motorbike Chain Spray Race and traditionally outstanding products provided by the exclusive Moto2 and Moto3 oil supplier.

Ayumu Sasaki, a member of the LIQUI MOLY Husqvarna Intact GP Team, is having an outstanding Moto3 season in which he is still competing for the World Championship title as the rider in second place in the rankings. Moto2 driver Senna Agius from the LIQUI MOLY Husqvarna Intact GP Junior Team has also been impressively demonstrating his entire skill set, thus securing the title in the European Championship even before the season draws to a close.
Products from LIQUI MOLY’s motorbike range are a solid and reliable basis for these kinds of victories, and it will be these products that will once again be in the spotlight at the company’s trade show booth at EICMA 2023, involving a total of 1600 exhibiting companies. The showcased range includes the latest development, the Motorbike Chain Spray Race.

Given the power is transferred to the rear wheel, the chain is a pivotal component in the motorcycle’s drive system. In motor racing, it is subjected to particularly high forces with frequent and fast accelerations or on tracks with extreme inclines such as passes. These extreme force transmissions demand the utmost from the chain, which is why targeted lubrication and flawless protection are required especially in these applications. The first-class combination of ceramic solid lubricants and chemical wear protection offered by the Motorbike Chain Spray Race ensures minimum friction and maximum service life of the chain. With optimum creep characteristics , it offers excellent lubrication and corrosion protection even under extreme conditions.

LIQUI MOLY will additionally be showcasing its diverse range of motor oils at EICMA. LIQUI MOLY offers more than two dozen different motor oils for motorcycles as well as gear oils, fork oils and brake fluids plus additives, service products and care products for bikes.

The fact that LIQUI MOLY’s motor oil meets stringent quality standards is also demonstrated by the fact that motorsport teams rely on LIQUI MOLY. As an exclusive lubricant supplier, LIQUI MOLY supplies motor oil to all teams in Moto2 and Moto3. LIQUI MOLY Motorbike 4T Synth 5W-40 Street Race, which will also be on display at EICMA, is commercially available to the public. LIQUI MOLY has also been an exclusive lubricant partner for the FIM Motocross World Championship since 2022. This racing series also includes the FIM Motocross of Nations (MXoN) and the FIM Snowcross World Championship (SNX). Italian motorcycle manufacturer Betamotor also uses LIQUI MOLY oil for all major assemblies in its bikes. Alongside OEM filling, the cooperation also includes support of the Beta Plant Teams in the Enduro World Championship and, since 2021, also in the MXGP.

EICMA will be taking place between November 7 to 12 at the Fiera Milano show grounds in Milan. LIQUI MOLY will be exhibiting in Hall 13 at Booth P70.

MOTOREX presents limited edition of popular engine oils

To celebrate 20 years of cooperation with KTM: MOTOREX presents limited edition of popular engine oils.

To celebrate one of the most successful – and with 20 years also one of the longest lasting – To celebrate one of the most successful – and with 20 years also one of the longest lasting – partnerships in the industry between the two power houses KTM and MOTOREX, the latter launches an exclusive limited-edition run of two of its most popular engine oils: POWER SYNT 4T SAE 10W/50 and CROSS POWER 2T. These limited-edition products will be available exclusively at KTM dealers around the globe.

Two decades ago, it all started with a common understanding: coming in second was not an option for either of the two companies. The best solution was to build something great together.

Fast forward to present day, the two companies share 119 world championship titles: from motocross to supercross, enduro to rally, and Moto2 to Moto3. The passion to “exceed the limits” has paid off and was most recently represented with a victory at the 2023 Dakar Rally in January thanks to Kevin Benavides (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing).

It is obvious that this partnership extends much further, so let us leave the world’s muddiest, dustiest race tracks and let’s enter MOTOREX’s Race Laboratory and KTM’s R&D Department. There, under meticulous conditions, the findings from the race track are jointly analyzed to continually challenge the limits of what is possible.

Together with KTM, MOTOREX has the unique possibility to have access to the world’s best riders and teams to constantly test and further develop its products. I It is important to MOTOREX that aside from these race teams, that all other riders around the globe also reap the benefits of this competitive advantage. That is why MOTOREX products are not only made in Switzerland, but also engineered in cooperation with the world’s best motorcycle manufacturer.

In conclusion, it is anything but a coincidence that KTM has been recommending MOTOREX for 20 years.

So here is to another 20 years of being #RaceProven.

Motul Now Available For Cycle Enthusiasts

MOTUL is using its high level of expertise in the lubricant and vehicle care sectors to enter the bicycle market for the first time – with eight new consumer products – as the launch of its new global Bicycle programme.

For 170 years, Motul has built up a unique reputation for quality and innovation with automotive enthusiasts and, on two wheels, with the most demanding riders. Becoming the top selling lubricant brand in the country for Motorbikes has come through its products being renowned for both performance and protection. This has come about through a passion for excellence and a willingness to confront some of the biggest technological challenges.

Everything this embodies has now been put into Motul’s new range of Bicycle products. For example, two different chain lubricants use innovative ester technology – originally developed for motor sports – to guarantee exceptionally long-lasting lubrication with a particularly stable molecular structure.

The Bicycle market is not only booming, it is also a fantastic mix of enthusiasm and embracing a very modern, efficient way to travel, to move, to exercise, and much more. Cycling today is a mix of tradition, technology and passion.

The new Motul Bike line comprises a highly effective and environmentally friendly range of products. Each has been specifically designed with the benefit of Motul’s expertise and experience for two wheels and four. The range is the first ever to be distributed across the globe with both a high performance and sustainable offer:

“We wanted to be the experts for performance and sustainable products – to mix both,” explains Callum Goodland, Motul UK Country manager. “Some of our competitors are really good on the performance side of bicycle products but are lacking in sustainability. Others are strong in sustainability but not on performance. So, we see that sweet spot as a good market for us, as we offer both qualities.”

All Motul Bike Care products are sustainably produced and packaged, employing biodegradable care and maintenance fluids, which are contained in 100% recycled packaging or made from bio-source plastic.

The Cleaners have been developed with the best materials for great performance, yet are specially formulated not to damage either the health of the user or, indeed, of the planet itself. Therefore, on the packaging, there are no pictograms warning of dangerous chemicals, because the formulas are clean, solvent-free and water-based. This is also why Motul doesn’t have any aerosols in the range.

The results are unique formulas, making use, in the case of the range’s Chain Lubes for instance, of Motul’s experience with Ester technology – which Motul introduced to the automotive world, having seen its benefits in aircraft lubrication – to offer the highest protection and optimal chain functioning, whatever the conditions.

Motul product manager Rebecca Ramos explains: “The idea came about two years ago. We saw a big increase in demand for bicycles due to Covid, and also people switching to new types of mobility that are healthier and more environmentally friendly. We thought it was a good opportunity as it’s a growing market and allows us to get into more diverse products. After our market research, we decided to target hobby cyclists, especially people who are really passionate about their bikes and want to gain some efficiencies. That’s why we developed our chain lubes with esters, for example. We tried to match what we’re doing with engine oils.”

This new range answers the four most important and essential needs for bicycle users: degreasing, cleaning, lubricating and providing preventive maintenance. Delivering the best in performance and protection is rooted deep in Motul’s core, as is the drive to explore new areas to expand the brand’s reach with enthusiasts, and the desire to be part of all types of mobility – both current and as new forms develop.

This new range initially comprises eight products:

Cleaning: Motul Frame Clean, Motul Dry Clean, Motul Chain Clean, Motul Brake Clean

Lubrication and Prevention: Chain Lube Dry, Chain Lube Wet, EZ Lube, Tubeless Tire Sealant

Always being one step ahead of the competition is already in MOTUL’s DNA. “With our chain lubricants, for example, we rely on a variation of the innovative ester technology used in our engine oils. But the extra effort in production certainly pays off later on,” explains Motul UK Technical Specialist, Has Tahier. “Lubricants with ester technology retain their excellent lubricating properties even after a long period of use and pro- vide optimal protection, especially for the hardest-working components such as gears, chains, or sprockets. This means they surpass the performance of existing chain lubricants, such as those which use PTFE. All bicycles are ideally protected against wear with these new products, no matter whether it’s a road bike, mountain bike, or even an e-bike,”

“We are very well known in Powersport, for example motorbikes, and, of course also in Motorsport. We see a lot of synergy between these arenas and bicycles,” comments Motul UK General Sales and Marketing Manager, Andy Wait. ‘For example, professional riders and race drivers invariably train on bicycles. These products are for really passionate people who love using their bikes, and who also look after them well. Motul Bike Care is a significant and entirely logical extension of Motul’s commitment and ambition. The first feedback, internationally, has been fantastic. I’d recommend that anyone who cares about their bicycle gives Motul Bike Care a try, as they’re good for your bike and good for your conscience!!”

LIQUI MOLY now also available from Motor Parts Direct

Collaboration between the German oil and additive specialist and UK’s largest independent motor factor

The German motor oil and additive specialist LIQUI MOLY is expanding its distribution in the UK. The company’s range is now also available from Motor Parts Direct, the UK’s largest independent motor factor. “This makes getting hold of motor oils and additives made in Germany easier, not only for workshops, but also for car drivers,” says Debbie Barnes, Managing Director at LIQUI MOLY UK Ltd.

In addition to motor oils and additives, LIQUI MOLY offers an extensive range of automotive chemicals, for combustion engines and electric vehicles, for hybrid vehicles and hydrogen cars – everything from a single source and compatible with each other. LIQUI MOLY has been voted the best oil brand in its home market of Germany for many years.

“LIQUI MOLY is not just a premium brand,” says Kevin Blazey, Marketing Director from Motor Parts Direct. “LIQUI MOLY offers workshops a wide range of chemical tools that can complete many tasks faster, easier and more cost-effectively than would be possible with classic methods.” Examples include the diesel particulate filter cleaner, which can be used to clean clogged diesel particulate filters when installed, and the Pro-Line Injector and Glow Plug Dismantling Aid, which can be used to remove stuck injectors without damaging them. LIQUI MOLY also offers useful devices that open up new business fields for workshops, such as Gear Tronic III, which automates and simplifies the difficult oil change for automatic transmissions and also enables the use of cleaning additives.

“In Motor Parts Direct, we have found a partner that shares the same values in many respects,” says Debbie Barnes from LIQUI MOLY. “Neither of us cut budgets in fear during the pandemic, but rather invested. And we both know that not only do we need good products, but also good service.” Motor Parts Direct operates more than 172 branches and 15 logistics centres. “This means we now have better availability of goods across England,” says Debbie Barnes.

The oil used in Moto2 and Moto3 – for every motorcyclist

Racing riders use Motorbike 4T Synth 5W-40 Race by LIQUI MOLY

The extreme pressure of motor racing is the ultimate test: An oil that proves its worth on the race track offers top performance on the road, too. And when it comes to engine oils, that’s LIQUI MOLY. All the teams in the Moto2 and Moto3 racing series use Motorbike 4T Synth 5W-40 Race by LIQUI MOLY.

This is a fully synthetic engine oil: its additives ensure reliable lubrication even under a high level of stress. The low level of friction not only reduces wear and tear, it also ensures that more horsepower actually goes on the road. This oil makes for top performance in all bikes of the Moto2 and Moto3 racing series.

The Motorbike 4T Synth 5W-40 Race is a high-performance oil, but it wasn’t developed specifically for this racing series. In fact it is one of 24 engine oils that make up the LIQUI MOLY range – not only suitable for both air and water-cooled 4-stroke engines but also for engines with and without a wet clutch. Approved according to JASO MS2. This is the quality Moto2 and Moto3 riders can rely on.

To find out whether Motorbike 4T Synth 5W-40 Race is suitable for your own bike, see the free online oil guide at www.liqui-moly.com.

Rapid care and many oils at Moto Bike Expo

LIQUI MOLY presents the new Motorbike Detailer and its wide range of motorcycle oils at the two-wheeler trade fair.

As a specialist in chemical products for bikes, LIQUI MOLY will be presenting its extensive product range at the Motor Bike Expo in Verona. Also in the game: The new Motorbike Detailer for quick and straightforward paint care. Simply spray, wipe and you’re done.

The Motorbike Detailer not only adds shine, it also tackles dirty jobs. The spray effortlessly removes dust, dirt and even bird droppings. It is so effective that it seals and adds shine to smooth enamel for several weeks. Water beads off treated surfaces and new dirt has a hard time taking hold. This applies to smooth painted areas as well as smooth plastic surfaces.

The application of the Motorbike Detailer is just as versatile as its effect: The agent works on both dry and wet surfaces. The type of cloth is decisive for the result: preferably a high-pile microfiber cloth with laser cut. It prevents streaks and can absorb a lot of moisture. Its simple and straightforward application makes the Motorbike Detailer a useful helper for every owner of a motorcycle or scooter.

LIQUI MOLY will also be showcasing its diverse range of motor oils at Motor Bike Expo. Whereas motor oil used to be a universal lubricant, today it is a liquid spare part that must to fit the particular engine exactly. Although there are significantly fewer oil specifications for motorcycles than for cars, the wrong oil can also have serious consequences here. LIQUI MOLY has more than two dozen different motor oils. The free, online oil guide at www.liqui-moly.com shows the right oil for the various makes of motorbikes. After just a few clicks, it displays a list of suitable motor oils and other fluids. In addition to motor oils, LIQUI MOLY also offers gear oils, fork oils and brake fluids as well as additives, service products and care products.

Not only are more and more motorcyclists relying on quality goods from Germany, but also the teams from the Moto2 and Moto3 racing series, all of whose bikes run on LIQUI MOLY oil. And with an oil that is not a special development for racing, but is available to everyone: the LIQUI MOLY Motorbike 4T Synth 5W-40 Street Race, which will also be on display at EICMA. A new addition to the oils is Motorbike 4T 10W-50 Street, with which LIQUI MOLY is expanding its range.

Motor Bike Expo will take place from 27 to 29 January on the Fiere Verona show grounds in Verona. LIQUI MOLY can be found in Hall 6 at Booth 16L.

Motorex Officially Partners With Fantic Motor

Another leading motorcycle manufacturer has chosen MOTOREX to be its official lubricant partner.

From January 1st, 2023, all Fantic Motor production and official racing motorcycles will be first filled with MOTOREX products.

Fantic Motor now relies exclusively on engine and transmission oils from Langenthal for its complete model range and all racing activities. In addition, the iconic Italian brand will recommend the high-quality products from the extensive MOTOREX MOTO LINE product range to its customers, for all maintenance and care usage. The new partnership benefits from the extremely diverse range of lubricants offered by the Swiss specialists. With production two-stroke and four-stroke bikes, road motorcycles, motocross, and rally bikes, as well as racing teams in motocross, enduro, and Moto2 world championships, Fantic and its official race teams will place a wide variety of demands on the oils.

EDI FISCHER, CHAIRMAN OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD OF MOTOREX
“Based on a strong tradition, Fantic is one of the fastest growing brands today and has always been characterised by a spirit of innovation and passion – just like MOTOREX. Together we want to write a success story and are very excited about this new partnership.”

RONALD KABELLA, DIRECTOR POWERSPORTS OF MOTOREX
“Fantic is another interesting partner joining the large MOTOREX family. With its roots in enduro sport, trials and motocross, the brand is an excellent fit for MOTOREX, as are its ambitious plans to expand the product range. We are looking forward to the cooperation and to contributing our experience and know-how gained from more than 100 years of MOTOREX history.”

Fantic, now based in Santa Maria di Sala in the Veneto region of northern Italy, was founded in 1968 and quickly enjoyed great sales success with small, smartly designed machines. Their scrambler look inspired many customers to go off-road and Fantic soon introduced its first enduro motorcycle. In 1974, the first “real” racing bike was produced – the 125cc Fantic CR. The bikes, which at that time still came from Lombardy, proved their abilities in countless enduro competitions. Then, in the mid-1980s, Fantic’s great era in trials sport began. The brand won three world championship titles as well as the legendary Scottish Six Days Trial seven times and rose to become the world market leader in trials motorcycles.

Today, the manufacturer is represented in the MX2 motocross class with the Fantic Factory Team Maddii. The Fantic Factory Team E50 Racing competes in the Enduro World Championship in the E1 and E3 classes, among others. The brand was already represented together with MOTOREX in the Dakar Moto Rally, which has just ended. Among others, Dakar veteran Franco Picco, at 66 the oldest participant in the 2023 edition, successfully crossed the Arabian desert on a rally machine based on the Fantic XEF 450 Factory. In road racing, Fantic will start with a team in the Moto2 World Championship in 2023.

LIQUI MOLY establishes subsidiary in the UK

The oil and additive specialist LIQUI MOLY continues its growth course in the UK and has now established the subsidiary LIQUI MOLY UK.

“This will enable us to better exploit the potential offered by the British market,” says Salvatore Coniglio, Export Manager at LIQUI MOLY.

In terms of its sales operations, LIQUI MOLY traditionally works with independent importers in most countries. In the UK, however, the company has had its own employees for years to personally support the wholesale and specialist trade and support them on visits to garages. “The foundation of LIQUI MOLY UK is the next logical step,” explains Salvatore Coniglio. “It sends out a signal to customers that we will be providing them with even more effective support and are planning big things in the UK.”

The establishment of a subsidiary underlines the potential that the company sees in the UK market. Additional personnel have already been hired for LIQUI MOLY UK based in Birmingham. During the course of this year, more new jobs are to be created, especially in sales.

“These are investments that directly benefit our customers,” says Salvatore Coniglio. “Business is still done between people. That’s more important today than ever. In a personal conversation, I can respond much better to a customer’s needs and set out the various elements of what it is we provide. And, of course, I can talk more effectively about our concepts and our wide range of oils and additives, about car care for the outside and inside, about products for cars, but also for commercial vehicles, motorcycles and boats.”

In its home market of Germany, readers of several car magazines vote LIQUI MOLY as the best oil brand year after year. “We don’t have this status in the UK yet,” says Salvatore Coniglio. “That will soon change. Our brand is becoming more and more famous and popular, not least thanks to our involvement in Formula 1, the MotoGP and several UK race championships as for example the Mini Challenge, CSCC and the British Rallycross Championship.”

Honda Racing UK and Motul – a brand-new partnership in BSB and on the Roads.

Honda Racing UK is pleased to announce a new sponsorship agreement with Motul, as they challenge the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, as well as making their long-awaited return to the Roads at the International North West 200 and the Isle of Man TT Races in 2022.

This year presents huge milestones for the Honda Racing UK team, one of which is the 30th Anniversary of the iconic Fireblade, which is represented on the livery of the teams’ CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP machines, as well as the rider leathers throughout the BSB and road racing season.

This is the first time Honda Racing UK and Motul have worked together in both the British Superbike Championship, as well as on the roads for the NW200 and the TT, which this year sees Motul brand ambassador John McGuinness return to Honda machinery and celebrate his 100th TT race start.

The team is busy preparing for the start of the season, with the first official BSB test set to take place at Snetterton on 25-27 March, but for those who can’t wait that long, the 30th Anniversary livery will be making its debut at the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show (11-13 February), where it will be on display on the Honda stand.

Havier Beltran, Honda Racing UK Team Manager:
“2022 is an exciting season for the team across both BSB and the Roads; we have Tom stepping up into the Superbike class, John back on Honda machinery, Glenn finally making his TT debut, as well as celebrating 30 years of the Fireblade and we’re welcoming Motul as a new sponsor, which is the first time for us in the British Championship. Motul have a great pedigree on the Roads, as well as numerous successes across two-wheel motorsport, and we’re looking forward to getting the season underway and working with the team there.

Günter Steven, Head of Sales Export Motul Deutschland:
“As one of the leading motorbike manufacturers in the United Kingdom, Honda trusts our premium range of high-performance lubricants and motorcycle care products as well as our sales concepts for their dealer network – we are very pleased about this and it is a solid basis on which we will build a successful cooperation. The fact that we also share the same values on top of that, as well as a great commitment to motorsport, offers both of us the perfect basis for a long-term partnership.  We can’t wait to merge our collective knowledge and experience in both trade and motorsport to create a great synergy together.”

Neil Fletcher, Head of Motorcycles, Honda UK:
“We are delighted to announce a new working partnership with Motul this year. They have a wealth of success across many motorsport series around the world and I have been impressed by their passion and professionalism. It’s great to form a new partnership together in such an important and special year as the Fireblade celebrates its 30th Anniversary in both BSB and the Roads. We have a busy few months ahead with testing starting soon, the BSB championship on the near horizon and we can’t wait to head back to Northern Ireland for the NW200 and then quickly on to the TT with Glenn making his first start and John his 100th!”

Now, for the 2021 season, Team HRC and its two riders, Alvaro Bautista and Leon Haslam, will benefit further from Motul’s support as Official Lubricant Partner. Having made great steps forward with every race in 2020, there is only one aim for this season: the top!
A partnership with strength in depth

The trust and deeply cooperative working relationship that has developed over the years has seen Motul contribute to the performance, reliability and efficiency of HRC’s competition models over all terrains including circuits, off-road and desert. The strength of this partnership has resulted in multiple victories in many different championships, most notably three wins for HRC at the Dakar Rally – the first being in 1989 and the most recent being this year, 2021. It has also led to several championship titles with Team HRC in MXGP including 2019 and 2020 in the hands of their super dominant star rider Tim Gajser.
Smoothing the way with Motul

Together with Motul, Team HRC has been continuing development of the CBR1000RR-RR FIREBLADE, with continual feedback to engineers in Japan. Among Motul’s international R & D centers is one in Japan whose engineers collaborate with HRC’s engine development department on a range of different projects including the development of high-tech synthetic lubricants. Principal among these is the tailor-made Motul 300V Factory Line Racing Kit Oil 2376H 0W-30 fully synthetic engine oil which will be used alongside the Motocool Factory Line and MC CARE range of products.

The viscosity grade 0W-30, 100% synthetic lubricant yields a low traction coefficient thanks to the EsterCore technology, generating a friction reduction and therefore providing a significant gain in engine power.

Nicolas Zaugg, Motul Chief Value Officer: “We are delighted to be extending our great working relationship with Honda and HRC to WorldSBK. The collaborative vision and technological partnership we have developed together is the perfect example of Motul’s living laboratory philosophy …developing and testing experimental products in a racing application before offering them for sale to a wider customer base. It’s a win-win deal as far as we are concerned.”

Tetsuhiro Kuwata, HRC Director – General Manager Race Operations Management Division: “We are pleased to announce Motul as Official Sponsor of our factory Team HRC in the highly competitive 2021 FIM Motul Superbike World Championship, thereby extending the relationship between our brands and further strengthening what is a very important project for us, with our CBR1000RR-R FIREBLADE SP. Honda and Motul each boast a long and successful history in high level motorsport competition around the world, both brands being driven by the constant pursuit of victory and by the strong belief that the racing arena is the ideal setting in which to grow our human capital and develop our know-how and technology. In doing so, we offer our customers the best possible products, while bringing joy and excitement to our fans around the world. We are living in a time of great challenges, but we are ready to fight to achieve our mutual goals, which we will pursue with determination, positivity, and confidence in the future.”

Putoline N-TECH® Special Pro Racing+ 5W-50

The Putoline Oil brand is this year celebrating its 50th anniversary. Putoline was conceived specifically and purely for the motorised two-wheel segment and in keeping with its origins and tradition of innovative products and packaging, it now launches the Special Pro Racing+ 5W-50 in 1 litre bottles into its mainstream range.

The latest race proven technology is now available for every motorcycle ride in small 1 litre packs.

Putoline’s N-TECH SPR+ 5W-50 is the ultimate racing product for the most extreme conditions, developed in collaboration with Ten Kate Racing. Gebben Van Venrooy Racing (MXGP) and our partners Bas Dakar Racing Team and Husqvarna-SKS Racing Team have also made valuable contributions to the successful development phase.

Now, due to its success, a 1 litre bottle of Putoline N-TECH® SPR+ 5W-50 has been added to our range in addition to the 20 litre Bag-in-Box.

N-TECH® SPR+ 5W-50 is a race-proven, fully synthetic racing 4-stroke motorcycle oil. The product based on an advanced mix of the best base oils available on the market in combination with our revolutionary N-TECH® additive system, improves power and minimizes wear. SAE 5W-50 has a higher viscosity, therefore a higher resistance to fuel dilution, and is specially developed for extreme conditions such as track action and race starts. It combines maximum reliability with optimal wet clutch performance, increasing clutch grip and power.

Launched last year, Putoline’s N-TECH® additive package is built on its pioneering research and development and exploits their specially developed in house new additive package formula and all the latest properties and opportunities that its use of API group 5 fully synthetic base oils has given them.

The N-TECH® product range sits at the top of the Putoline range, with N-TECH® SPR+ as its top product, followed closely by the N-TECH® Pro R+, which is available in various viscosities in both road and off-road versions. These are suitable for most “conceivable and diverse conditions from year-round use to extreme competition”.

The SPR+ 5W-50 is available as a 20 litre Bag-in-Box and now also in 1 litre bottles.

A successful duo at LIQUI MOLY for 30 years

The two managing directors Ernst Prost and Günter Hiermaier celebrate their company anniversary with the German oil and additive specialist

October 2020 – They made LIQUI MOLY what it is today. Thirty years ago, Ernst Prost and Günter Hiermaier joined the German oil and additive specialist and led the company to unprecedented heights. “30 years at the same company – now, that’s really something,” says Managing Director Ernst Prost (63). “There was always something going on in our shop. And that’s why time just flew by.” Managing Director Günter Hiermaier (56) adds: “I am looking forward to many more successful years in our group of companies.”

The two men already knew each other before their time at LIQUI MOLY. At that time, Hiermaier was an apprentice of Prost. In 1990, they joined LIQUI MOLY: Prost as Sales and Marketing Manager and Hiermaier as Retail Sales Manager Germany. At that time, the GDR was just experiencing the last hours of its existence before reunification. And LIQUI MOLY itself was a very small player in the industry.

Prost and Hiermaier rolled up their sleeves and tackled the job. And not only that: Step by step, Prost bought the company from its owners of the time. Since then, the world has changed, just like LIQUI MOLY. The small player has become a global brand and sales of EUR 55 million have grown to EUR 569 million. LIQUI MOLY is now active in more than 150 countries and has developed new business fields, such as motorcycles, boats and industry, in addition to its regular automotive business. Today, the former wallflower can be seen in the Formula 1 and MotoGP. LIQUI MOLY is considered the best oil brand of all among the readers of many car magazines.

In 2018, Prost sold LIQUI MOLY to the Würth Group in order to safeguard the future of the company even after his era, but remained on board as Managing Director. Hiermaier was also appointed Managing Director at the same time.

30 years with the company – Prost and Hiermaier were not the first to achieve this at LIQUI MOLY. As a company tradition, the staff turnover is very low. 20 years with the company is not uncommon and there have already been a few 25- and 30-year service anniversaries. The record is 49 years.

“It’s really amazing how quickly time passes when you can work with so many great colleagues every day and can build something together,” says Günter Hiermaier. Ernst Prost also shows no sign of boredom or routine: “It’s still great fun.”

New Chain Spray 4 X Better

Germany’s no.1 selling White Chain Spray has been significantly updated to offer four times more wear protection for chains and sprockets.

Already a market leader in its demanding home-market, S100 White Chain Spray has undergone extensive laboratory testing at the University of Mannheim, and now combines even more long-term lubrication with almost zero fling-off.

It is proven to deliver four times (400%) better wear protection for the chain and sprocket than it’s nearest rival.

S100 White Chain Spray 2.0 is so effective because it resolves two conflicting properties required by chain lube; being liquid enough to penetrate the chain links, (like gear oil), yet being sufficiently sticky that it won’t be flung off by a chain that rotates at high speed, (like a wax).

The new German-engineered formula not only ensures excellent penetration of the chain and resists flinging off at speed and washing off in wet conditions, it also contains a corrosion inhibitor, to prevent rust.

Used regularly, S100 White Chain Spray 2.0 can significantly lengthen the working life of a motorcycle’s chain and sprocket, improve performance, and increase the time needed between lubrication (up to 1,000 km).

It’s also Super easy to use: just spray evenly and sparingly on the inside of the chain – the white colour means it’s easy to see which areas have been treated – and allow to dry for an hour.

S100 White Chain Spray 2.0 is suitable for all chain types (O/X/Z) and retails at £14.99 inc VAT for a large 400ml aerosol.

For details on their complete motorcycle care range, visit www.motohaus.com or call 01256 704909.
