GIVI SPORT-T

The GIVI family of bags for “fast bikes” is expanding with its thermoformed model range. Within a series of noteworthy new features, the ST606 sports backpack steals the show, ultra stable at full capacity, even at high speeds. The preview will be at EICMA.

With the SPORT-T 2020 line, GIVI has focused on an almost total overhaul… with the choice to have all the new features on a pre-formed structure. A structure which brings soft bags closer to hard cases. And, given their target rider, features an aerodynamic design.

THE NEW RANGE INCLUDES:

ST609 – Pair of expandable side bags (25+25 ltr.). Easylock quick coupling/release system,
ST607B – Expandable saddle bag (22-26 ltr.). Universal fitting with 4 straps.
ST608B – 3-ltr leg bag with three inner pockets, one of which is a smartphone holder.
ST606 – 22-ltr rucksack with shell.

Combined with selected “UV Tested” materials (high-tenacity 1200D/PVC polyester, PU inserts, thermoformed EVA coated with anti-scratch PU), these bags are big on character, especially the very attractive ST606 rucksack, the worthy leader of the SPORT-T family, which we are about to look at more closely.

It starts with the thermoformed shell, creating an aesthetic link between this “wearable” product and the other “attachable” SPORT-T products.

The ST606 has an internal capacity of 22 litres and an aerodynamic line aimed at sports or maxi-naked model users. A stable and comfortable ride, even at high speed, will be ensured by the sturdy, padded, quick-release shoulder straps in breathable material, with additional chest and waist straps.

GIVI also focused on detail with the spatial format. The ST606 has 2 side pockets with zip closures (and reflective covers that function as deflectors to avoid sudden openings), one of which can hold a one-litre bottle. There is also a glasses holder in the carrying handle area. Inside, we find 3 pockets, one with a case for tablets/laptops up to 13”, one elastic, and another interior compartment with zip closure inside the preformed lid.

Our standard description is completed with a note on the side helmet-holder strap (to be used while out of the saddle), the integrated rain cover and the non-slip PU base.

Rucksacks aside, the combination of production quality, design and practicality, all the new products in the SPORT-T 2020 family are sure to earn the attention of all sports driving enthusiasts.

New from Wunderlich, luggage nets are a neat way to use the often redundant space in the lid of BMW aluminum side and top cases, and keep kit organised.

Made from hard-wearing 5mm thick nylon netting and designed to fit neatly inside the lid of BMW OE aluminium boxes, Luggage Nets maximise storage capacity and help keep essentials like rainwear, travel documents, tools and first aid kits clear of other kit and easily accessible.

Quick and easy to fit, the nets attach using suspension struts, which are inserted into existing rivet heads inside the panniers – so there’s no drilling extra holes or removing rivets, and the panniers stay weather-tight.

Ventura has introduced a new mid-size pack for its updated EVO-Rack system.

The EVO-22 has an innovative pocket fastening system in its base, so it slides onto the EVO-Rack and is held securely in place with two quick-release buckles.

Engineered from high quality ballistic fabric and shaped to cheat the wind, the EVO-22 measures 290 x 330 x 375mm and will swallow up to 22 litres of luggage.

Two carry handles make it easy to grab and go when you reach your destination and there’s a shoulder strap too. Triumph Motorcycles UK has announced that it will partner with Globebusters – the established motorcycle travel provider – to exhibit at the Touratech Travel Event in South Wales.

The Multistrada 1200 Enduro Experience comes to the UK and the Touratech Travel event

The Multistrada 1200 Enduro Experience will be heading to South Wales from the 5th – 7th May as part of the Touratech Travel event in Ystradgynlais, near Swansea. It iwill be the first time that course dedicated to off road riding has taken place outside of Italy and UK riders will get the chance to try it for free!

The Multistrada 1200 Enduro Experience truck containing fifteen Multistrada 1200 Enduro specifically kitted for off-road use and a further ten kitted for on road use are being shipped over to the UK. The event truck will be accompanied by four Instructors from DRE Enduro School in Italy led by the former Dakar rider Beppe Gualini!
The DRE team will set up “portable facilities” to enable them to replicate the DRE Enduro environment to include but not limited to:

Slalom
Balance beam
Emergency brake
Steps
Tòle ondulèe
Uphills and Downhills
Balance exercise
Off-road track

The course is suitable for all, from beginners who want to gain confidence and control of the bike in conditions with low grip, to the more experienced enduro rider who wants to learn from the experience of top riders and try out riding techniques with the new Multistrada 1200 Enduro.

Riders will be given an experience lasting 45-60 minutes to experience what the bike can do off road, using the specially designed off road track and portable facilities and then a road demo exploring the local countryside and using the bike to its full road potential.

News from Milan – the fantastic expandable topbox!

Spanish luggage experts Shad have done it again. We’ve all seen expandable soft luggage, but Shad have applied that principle to their innovative new expandable top case – yes, hard luggage that can be expanded to increase its capacity!

The SW58X is the solution for those who want a top case for more than one purpose, but don’t want the expense or hassle of buying additional luggage.

So what does it do?
Open the lid and there are a couple of small levers inside that you use to unlock the extending part of the case and reset it into one of three positions.
This simple yet innovative solution has been patented by Shad and allows the SH58X top case to be expanded from 46 litres, to 52 litres and up to a maximum of 58 litres of capacity. In fact if you go for the SH59X option with alternative lid, there is an extra litre to be had too!

So if your daily commute requires just a basic amount of storage, you can ride with the more compact box on the back of your bike.
Come the weekend however and it takes just seconds to expand the case to accommodate the extra luggage you’ll need for a few days away from home.

Of course the same principal can be applied when going shopping, carrying an extra crash helmet for a pillion, and so much more. This product really is so adaptable and will suit the needs of many riders of today.

MT10 & Z1000 luggage kits now available

Lots of people have asked for luggage for the 2016 Kawasaki Z1000SX and the 2016 Yamaha MT10: Spanish motorcycle luggage experts Shad, are happy to oblige!

For the MT10 the Shad Top Master fitting kit (Y0MT16ST) allows the owner to mount a top case to the motorcycle. RRP is £80+VAT. Also pictured here is the SH48 top case with titanium lid (D0B48200) which has a RRP of £215.99 (incl).
