Exclusive collaboration introduces 400 co-branded FTR x 100% R Carbon motorcycles, delivering a raw slice of Americana.

2024 Indian Challenger Elite delivers ultimate in style & exclusivity; completely redesigned PowerBand Audio raises the bar for premium audio systems

Indian Motorcycle, America’s First Motorcycle Company, today announced a brand collaboration with the popular American motocross brand 100%, along with its full 2024 model year lineup. Highlighted by a limited-edition FTR x 100% R Carbon, the 2024 lineup features a new Indian Challenger Elite, a completely redesigned PowerBand Audio system, and updates across the entire Indian Motorcycle lineup.

The 2024 Indian Motorcycle lineup delivers a robust offering of American V-Twin motorcycles unlike anything else on the road. Featuring quality craftsmanship, world-class performance and iconic style, Indian Motorcycle features a wide lineup ranging from the sleek and stylish FTR street bike to its Scout and Chief cruisers, to a diverse range of baggers and touring models, including the Indian Super Chief, Indian Springfield, Chieftain, Indian Challenger and fully loaded Roadmaster and Indian Pursuit models.

“It’s amazing to think how far we’ve come in developing and expanding our lineup of motorcycles, delivering a wide range of new models and trim offerings in a variety of styles to meet the diverse tastes and needs of our global riding community,” said Mike Dougherty, President of Indian Motorcycle. “Riders are choosing Indian Motorcycle. We’re growing share and growing retail volume all over the world. We’ve received incredible rider feedback and continue to refine, enhance, and fine-tune our lineup and accessories based off this feedback.”

FTR x 100% R Carbon
Indian Motorcycle has teamed up with 100% to celebrate riders who dare to carve their own path. With 100% linked to iconic moments that have built today’s modern motocross and Indian Motorcycle’s celebrated 123-year history in motorcycling, these two American brands have helped shape the rich fabric of motorcycling with their respective trailblazing spirits.

Pulling styling cues from 100%’s roots in action sports, the FTR x 100% R Carbon has been beautifully designed for the performance-minded rider who wants to stand out from the crowd. The bike features a one-of-a-kind Blue Candy carbon fibre tank, headlight nacelle, seat cowl and front fender. Its bright white powder-coated frame pops, while gloss paint finishes and red accents throughout deliver a high-quality fit and finish.

Collectively, the FTR x 100% R Carbon is a raw slice of Americana. Built on the top-of-the-line FTR R Carbon, the FTR x 100% R Carbon features even more upgrades and details that set it apart. Striking Indian Motorcycle and 100% co-branding highlight each tank side, its rear seat cowl, and the chin fairing. Race-ready Öhlins® front forks and rear shock spring get custom blacked-out treatment for 100% more attitude. A black-finished Titanium Akrapovič exhaust and carbon fibre components — engine covers, chain guard and exhaust heat shield — add custom detailing expected on a limited-edition model. Exacting attention to craftmanship shines with Gilles Tooling parts, including bar-end weights, oil cap and radiator cap.

Nothing is standard about the performance of FTR x 100% R Carbon: featuring a 92 kW, liquid-cooled V-twin engine with 118 Nm of torque, radially mounted dual-disc Brembo® brakes, a 101 mm Touchscreen Display Powered by RIDE COMMAND with turn-by-turn navigation*, Bluetooth® connectivity and three selectable ride modes, Rain, Standard and Sport, which deliver a personalised riding experience.

The FTR x 100% R Carbon is highly desirable and exclusive, with only 400 motorcycles being produced and only 250 available outside of North America. Bikes will begin shipping to international dealers immediately and with less than one per dealer, interested riders should contact their local Indian Motorcycle dealer as soon as possible to reserve their FTR x 100% R Carbon.

Launching alongside the limited-edition FTR x 100% R Carbon is an exclusive Indian Motorcycle x 100% apparel collection. Offering a diverse mix of men’s and women’s lifestyle pieces, the collection includes long and short-sleeved tops, hoodies, hats, beanies, and sunglasses. The co-branded apparel collection is available in men’s sizes S-3XL and women’s sizes XS-2XL and will be available at select Indian Motorcycle dealerships.

Riders purchasing the FTR x 100% R Carbon will receive a complimentary pair of Indian Motorcycle x 100% sunglasses. Riders will have the choice of one of three styles from the new co-branded collection.

All-in, whether riding two-up for a weekend adventure or commuting solo, the Indian Challenger Elite delivers the ultimate in style and exclusivity.

PowerBand Audio
Redesigned for Indian Motorcycle baggers and touring models, upgraded PowerBand Audio kits raise the bar for premium audio systems with 100-watt speakers that produce higher volume, increased clarity, and more bass.

The next-generation of PowerBand Audio features powerful sound, all-new styling, factory-backed quality, and easy installation.

Powerful Sound
The 100-watt PowerBand Audio speakers deliver an immediate increase in volume and clarity over the standard 50-watt speakers. PowerBand Audio’s new Bass Boost Tune makes the music come alive with deeper bass lines, which result in 50% more bass when compared to previous PowerBand Audio offerings. New Dynamic EQ auto-optimises in real-time for the highest quality audio as speed and conditions change. Speakers are durable, water-resistant and deliver an immersive listening experience – expertly designed to cut through road, wind, and throttle noise.

Upgraded Style
Featuring updated, custom-inspired style, PowerBand Audio speakers sport a chiselled, modern look with a titanium-plated dome that stands out from the crowd and ensures the speakers look as good as they sound.

Intuitive Audio Controls
Once installed, Indian Motorcycle’s industry-leading, 178 mm Touchscreen Display powered by RIDE COMMAND automatically recognises PowerBand Audio speakers and immediately upgrades the bike’s Audio menu. With PowerBand Audio, riders receive a nine-band equaliser to fully customise settings and dial-in levels for any music genre.

Factory-Backed Quality
PowerBand Audio’s Power Supply Temperature Protection actively monitors circuit temperature and adjusts to prevent internal damage or system shutdown in extreme heat conditions. The rugged design is water-resistant with an Ultra Coat sealing that provides protection from water, dirt, and debris. PowerBand Audio is designed and engineered in the U.S.A. and is backed by a factory warranty.

Easy Installation
Installation is easy. No wire cutting, extra amps, or brackets are required – delivering a seamless installation process at your local dealership or at home.

Select Indian Motorcycle baggers and touring models will be available straight off the dealership floor with PowerBand Audio pre-installed at the factory**. The new PowerBand Audio system is compatible with 2020-2024 models with seamless installation.

Riders can take their audio system up to 800-watts, including 200-watts in the upper fairing, 200-watts in the lower fairings, 200-watts in the saddlebags, and 200-watts in the touring trunk. Riders can also update their PowerBand Audio system in their 2020-2023 baggers and touring models with the Bass Boost Tune software upgrade at their local dealership. All 2024 and newer motorcycles will come standard with the Bass Boost Tune, which will automatically come alive once PowerBand Audio speakers are installed.

2024 Model Year Lineup
In addition to exciting new paint colours, the 2024 Indian Motorcycle lineup features a range of updates and enhancements including improved fit and finish on baggers and touring models, as models receive a gloss paint finish across the dash visor, storage door, dash trim and gauge bezel.

Indian Motorcycle reveals final custom Sport Chief build within its ‘Forged’ video series

Indian Motorcycle today revealed the final custom Sport Chief build within its ‘Forged’ video series. Featuring long-time friends and renowned freestyle motocross riders Carey Hart and Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg, the final custom bike takes the stock performance of the Indian Sport Chief to an entirely new level.

When speaking to Twitch about his build plans, Hart said, “It’s already a great base. The components on the production Sport Chief are great, but for what you’re going to be doing, I’m going to really focus on the chassis, handling, and braking. You’re going to ride the wheels off this thing, so it has to perform. It’s not just a trophy bike.”

Hart started off by stripping the bike down to its motor and frame. He re-engineered the brakes with race-spec Beringer components and tapped Trac Dynamics to develop a billet aluminium swingarm for increased rigidity and to minimize flex. He also called upon Barnstorm Cycles to add knee cuts to help slim the tank. The bike also features Hart & ODI bars and grips, super sticky Dunlop tires, machine wheels, a chain conversion and a Bassani 2-into-1 exhaust. Hart also raised the front end an inch and added a Beringer clutch perch to deliver a more moto-like feel that Twitch is accustomed to. To finish the bike off, Hart pulled in Schultz Design to deliver a paint scheme that was flashy, but classic, and truly represented Twitch’s personality.

The 2023 Indian Motorcycle FTR range – Now available in UK dealers

The 2023 Indian Motorcycle FTR range – Now available in UK dealers from as little as £179 per month*

Indian Motorcycle’s iconic FTR range for 2023 has landed in UK dealers this month, with the updated four model lineup offering fans of the American muscle bike more choice, combined with competitive finance offers too.

Announced at the Eicma show in Milan last year, the updated range for 2023 has seen significant updates with the introduction of a new mid-level Sport model, sitting alongside the FTR, FTR Rally and FTR Carbon models.

Designed for riders to enjoy the pure sport of motorcycling, the FTR Sport’s bold aesthetics and performance-inspired componentry, including a race-style number plate, chin fairing and seat cowl, take the FTR’s energetic attitude to another level. A totally unique take on American V-twin performance with an unmistakable, muscular style, the FTR truly is an American original.

Indian Motorcycle UK’s Andy Simpson commented, “The 2023 FTR range is without question our most complete yet. With the new mid-level Sport, sitting between the FTR and the Carbon model, there’s a great spread of specification, with performance improvements across the whole 17 inch wheel range. With the Rally model, those looking for a more retro approach can choose the larger 19/18 inch spoked wheel option, boasting its unique Desert Earth frame finish with the more traditional and iconic Indian Motorcycle Headdress tank design. For 2023 we’re confident we have an FTR for virtually everyone’s choice of style with a huge parts and accessory line-up to personalise more as required too.”

With the range now available in all UK dealers, and with a recommended retail price starting at £12,995, Indian Motorcycle is pleased to bring competitive finance offers to UK customers with typical monthly payments for the high specification FTR as low as £179*.

For 2023, all FTR models now offer a new sport exhaust muffler, an updated and retuned front braking system to provide a firmer feel, a new clutch, as well as moving the speedometer higher-up for easier viewing.

Indian Motorcycle reveals its first ‘Forged’ custom Sport Chief build

Indian Motorcycle today revealed its first ‘Forged’ custom Sport Chief build. The first of three builds was designed and handcrafted by Powerplant Motorcycles for renowned actor and motorcyclist, Norman Reedus.

Known for his star role in ‘The Walking Dead’ and his show ‘Ride with Norman Reedus,’ Norman has a deep passion for motorcycles and lives life on two wheels.

The custom Indian Sport Chief by Powerplant features a range of unique modifications specifically designed for Norman. To achieve a sleeker and more streamlined look, Powerplant repositioned the rear shock mounts and relocated the swingarm mounts. Powerplant also lifted and narrowed the fuel tank, and outfitted the tank and the side covers with three-inch louvers. A custom-made rear fender fits the narrower seven-spoke Morris Mag replica wheels, while custom eight-inch risers complement the Sport Chief’s four-inch round touchscreen display powered by RIDE COMMAND. A complete list of modifications can be found below.

Parts List: 2023 Indian Motorcycle Sport Chief

  • Repositioned the rear shock mounts and relocated swingarm mounts to reduce the rear section’s width.
  • Narrowed and lifted the fuel tank, outfitted it and the side covers with 3-inch louvers, and custom-made a fender inspired by old-school Indian style to fit the narrower wheels.
  • Modified seven-spoke Morris Mag replica wheels to fit Indian Motorcycle axles, brakes, rotors, sensors, and bearings. Lyndall Brakes made matching chrome rotors and a sprocket to complement the wheels.
  • Narrowed down the front fork system to accommodate an 11.5-inch rotor instead of a 13-inch rotor, due to the narrow wheel used.
  • Designed custom 8-inch risers to imitate the Indian Motorcycle display gauge engagement system and created handlebars that were narrow with lots of pull back to suit the bike’s needs.
  • Fabricated a one-off stainless steel exhaust pipe with a RedThunder cone from the bike’s Italian partners.
  • Crafted a fully custom cobra-style gunslinger seat with a stainless steel seat pan and upholstered it.
  • Applied a custom paint job with a mix of root beer colors that was darkened to fit the Indian Motorcycle style.
  • Paint and bodywork were done by Walt at WW Cycles, while Pacman added custom pinstripes.
  • Conducted all work in-house except for the bodywork and chrome/powder coating, which were done by Garett GAS Powder in Simi Valley

Next in the Forged series, Barnstorm Cycles unveils its custom Sport Chief on May 10 with Carey Hart unveiling his build on May 18.

Indian Motorcycle Brat Style Chief By Go Takamine

Indian Motorcycle, America’s First Motorcycle Company, revealed its second unique customisation project recently, working in collaboration with renowned Japanese builder Go Takamine, to highlight the vast personalisation possibilities of the all-new Indian Chief line-up once more.

Forming his own unique approach to bike building from what was effectively necessity; living in Japan in the late nineties and needing to get through Tokyo’s heavy traffic, Go’s ‘Brat Style’ was, and still is, about being simple and effective.

“For me bike culture started at school. Half of my class were bike crazy and that’s what shaped my life and direction,” commented Go. “I learned a lot in the early days from friends and my local bike shop. Brat Style evolved from this, as did my shop. It’s about things being simple and effective and yet still feeling like a kid”.

Having relocated his life and shop to California eight years ago, Go’s passion for building and racing vintage bikes became more achievable thanks to the scene being more active than in his native homeland. And of course, his exposure to Indian Motorcycle became even greater.

The build of the Brat Style Chief came from conversations with Indian Motorcycle’s Ola Stenegard, a friend of Go’s who had shown him some early sketches of the new Chief.

“The frame design was the first thing that caught my eye,” continued Go. “Straight away I could see the potential, which of course Ola had intended when he and his team designed the new Chief. It fits so well with what I like to create and so the seed was sewn for this project.”

Like in so many of Go’s creations, his vision was to create something ‘simple not flashy’, and work began to bring Brat Style to the Chief. The fuel tank design was a big part of the core aesthetics. Taking the shape that Go loved but condensing the width and reducing the height. Next was the rear fender. Once again taking inspiration from great functional period design, Go went with a rear fender from a 1937 Ford, honing it to work and fit perfectly with the rear wheel and swingarm of the Chief.

As the Brat Style look began to form, Go selected and machined key components, like the fork covers and chain guard, handmade form sheet metal, through to the Brat Style original megaphone exhausts, the handlebars and unique brass risers and foot pegs.

With such unique attention to detail, the final aesthetics needed to be just right, with Go selecting a simple yet classic paint scheme for the Brat Style Chief, featuring a scallop with the old Indian Motorcycle logo.

“It’s my baby, but the customers reaction when I hand over the bike is the most important thing,” said Go.

On this occasion, the customer was none other than renowned actor Nicholas Hoult, famed for his roles in Mad Max and Young Ones where he found his passion for motorcycles.

Hoult was blown away with the finished result of Go’s Brat Style Chief, becoming the custodian of one very special Indian Motorcycle.

To see more detail of the build and Hoult’s reaction, visit the Indian Motorcycle YouTube channel and to read an in-depth interview with Ola Stenegard and Go Takamine, click here.

The Brat Style Chief is the second in the series of three renowned V-twin customisers selected by Indian Motorcycle to produce totally unique builds from the 2022 Indian Chief. The third and final project to be revealed will be from freestyle motocross legend Carey Hart. Stay tuned.

Indian Motorcycle’s head of design, Ola Stenegard caught up with Go Takamine to discuss the inspiration and build process behind the Brat Style Chief.

The inspiration behind the Brat Style Chief

His love of Indian Motorcycle and the scene

Nicholas Hoult’s reaction

Ola: Go, we’ve known each other for many years now and I’ve always deeply admired your bikes, it’s been an honor to collaborate with you again on a great build. Over the years, you’ve got more and more into old Indian Motorcycles, tell me what sparked the interest?

Go: Indian Motorcycle for me, is about high rpm and very interesting V-Twin engines from the 1930s to 40s period. I like the Chiefs and Scouts because they are so fast, even in stock form. Yes, it can be hard to find the parts from this era, but it’s interesting and a challenge because not everyone can do this.

Ola: You’re clearly a big fan, so how many do you own and what are you working on right now?

Go: I have seven of my own currently, ranging from a ‘27 Wall of Death bike, to ‘39 SS Flat Track race bike, and then three Chiefs from ‘46 and ‘47 in stock, bobber and chopper form. I’ve also got two Chout’s from 1927 and 1941. That’s not counting the working projects, where I have around another 10 on the go, with a few 30s Sport Scouts, Chiefs and a 648 Big Base.

Ola: Your Indian customs were a great source of inspiration for the new Chief, which makes it really cool to now come full circle in this collaboration, having you customise a bike you helped inspire. But which Indian Motorcycles or people from history inspired you?

Go: For the bike, I’ve always loved and respected the very original design, but I also love Bobber and Chopper history.

For the people, there are so many custom builders and mechanics who are better than me, and I think they are all wonderful. If I have to highlight some, then, when I was in Japan, Mr. Masaru Yamada of Triumph’s engine tuner in Tokyo and ‘Smokey’ of Indian engine tuner in Long Beach CA.

Unfortunately both of them recently passed away, but I am very grateful and respectful.

Ola: There is so much work that many won‘t notice at first glance, can you tell us some of the most challenging parts, that people might miss?

Go: It looks simple and easy, but I’m actually thinking about many things when I begin a build like this.

Things like the ground clearance, the position of the tank and the rear fender, etc. I try again and again until I am satisfied, and I always decide based on my feelings at that time.

Ola: A lot of work went into the tank, you narrowed, sectioned and lowered it over the frame?

Go: Yes, the tank looks like stock, but it’s not.  I narrowed the width and height of the original tank to the limit where the fuel injection pump can be attached. I also cut the height and adjusted it. And I attached two vintage Indian tank caps. I like the design of the original tank, so I used it as a base.

Ola:  Are those original old Flanders risers?

Go: No, I’m not sure about the brand, but I actually found these at a swap meet.

Ola: What’s your process, do you sketch or do you mock-up your ideas directly on the bike? Do you slowly let it grow during the build or do you always have a clear vision for the bike?

Go:No, I don’t sketch. I want to make it while checking from all angles, 360 degrees, so I can’t think of it only with sketch.

Ola: What was going through your mind when you found out that the bike was for famous actor Nick Hoult?

Go:  I was honoured and happy because I’ve known from the movie, Mad Max.  I was looking forward to seeing him when the bike was completed.

Ola: How did he react when he got it? When he rode it?

Go: He was very happy. I was most interested in his reaction, so I was really happy that he was pleased, and I enjoyed riding together that day.

Ola: You moved from Tokyo to Long Beach. I know you still keep both shops running. Was it a dream come true moving to the USA? Was it challenging?

Go: Sure, it was a challenge. All I wanted to do was race with real riders on vintage bikes. The engine work has been a challenge on the older bikes, but I keep trying and trying.  I think my dreams have come true, but I’ll keep going. I’m still learning every day.

Ola: Do you have plans for your own new Chief?

Go:When it comes, I want to go far without thinking about anything.

I’m not sure what I will customise, yet.

Ola: Last but not least, tell me about the horn cover on the right side, where is that from? Where did you find it? And why did you choose this bike to carry it?

Go: I found it at a vintage motorcycle swap meet in Ohio. I think it’s old aftermarket parts.

When I removed the original cover, I was concerned about the spot there, so I put it on. I like the patina so I’m going to keep it.

Ola: And before we finish, is there anything else you would like to add about this project or the Chief?

Go: This original bike is a great design! The engine power is also the best. It’s easy to customise and it’s a really awesome bike.I very much appreciate the designer that has gone into the new chief from you, Ola and the rest of the Indian Motorcycle team.

Ola: Thanks so much and thank you for building this incredible bike and for your time today. Ride safe.

Indian Motorcycle Introduces All-New eFTR Mini Electric Youth Bike

Small & Light, All-New Electric Youth Bike Delivers an Approachable & Accessible Offering for Children Learning to Ride

Indian Motorcycle, America’s First Motorcycle Company, today added an electric youth bike to its lineup with the introduction of the all-new eFTR Mini. The eFTR Mini allows motorcyclists around the world to hand down their passion and love for riding to their children with a stylish but accessible model suited to young, entry-level riders.

Boasting the same championship styling as the FTR750 race bike, the newest addition to Indian Motorcycle’s lineup allows young riders to feel like a member of the iconic Indian Motorcycle Wrecking Crew that dominated flat track in the 1950’s and has won every championship since returning to the sport in 2017. The eFTR Mini features a high-quality and durable steel tube frame with two riding modes allowing children to start learning in a low mode and step up the performance as they grow in confidence.

“The eFTR Mini is the perfect choice for so many riders and loyal Indian Motorcycle customers looking to share their passion for riding with the children in their lives,” said Ross Clifford, Vice President of Parts, Garments, and Accessories at Indian Motorcycle. “With the eFTR Mini added to our lineup, we’re providing an accessible youth offering to accommodate aspiring two-wheel riders.”

The eFTR Mini’s 468 mm seat height accommodates riders from eight years in low mode, and 13 and over in high mode. The eFTR Mini was designed around a proven electric powertrain, as its 24-volt rechargeable battery runs up to 30 minutes and can reach up to 22.5 km/h in high mode and 16 km/h in low mode. The bike’s strong steel tube frame provides a solid foundation for beginning riders, while its rear brake offers premium stopping power.

Second Tattoo Inspired ‘Art-Bike’ Design Revealed By Indian Motorcycle

Highly respected modern-traditional tattoo artist Shige transforms all-new Indian Chief with a design dedicated to the Japanese Oni Demon with a storm of falling cherry blossoms.

The second of three headline artists work to be revealed in CGI as part of the ‘Indian Motorcycle X No Regrets’ tattoo art collaboration.

Indian Motorcycle unveil the second of three unique tattoo inspired designs, created by three iconic featured tattoo artists – Mayonaize, Shige and Carlos Torres – whose Indian Motorcycle Chief based works of art will each be revealed in high-resolution computer-generated imagery over the next three months.

Hailing from Yokohama, Japan, Shige practices the art of tattooing from his private studio ‘Yellow Blaze’ where he has refined his style over the past 24 years, interpreting traditional Japanese themed body art with his own unique twist.

Shige perfected his highly technical artistic skills in the mid-nineties while working as a motorcycle mechanic by day and tattooing at night, that passion for American motorcycles translated into his choice of design for the Indian Motorcycle Chief.

Talking with Indian Motorcycle’s Ola Stenegärd, Shige explained his design:
Ola Stenegärd – “I first came in contact with Japanese custom bike culture back in the 90’s, the more I learned about Japanese culture, I started seeing parallels in the culture of craftsmanship. Everything from custom bikes to the Japanese art of tattooing. What is the story of the design?”

Shige – “I picked the ‘Oni demon with storm of falling cherry blossoms’ design. My understanding of tattooing is different from what the majority thinks – who understand it mainly as decoration. The reason for the placement of an Oni-demon tattooed on the belly means you have Oni-demon in the center of the body and heart, this translates to the motorcycle fuel tank. The Oni-demon stands for strong will and protection; Oni is a demon, but its meaning is not evil. It wards off bad luck and protects you from evil. Having Oni-demon tattooed on the belly shows one’s determination to live in this harsh world with a strong heart. The Japanese language is full of mystery, and it is believed that the stomach contains the entire human heart”

“A tattoo has to be beautiful as the body moves. The cherry blossoms have to be perfectly composed as they are there to balance the Oni-demon, together with the deep meaning of the flower. Cherry Blossoms means ‘the pathos of things’. This image of ‘a sensitivity to ephemera’ can also be related to the motorbike – or even one’s life. That’s the reason why I chose this image. Showing the Indian Motorcycle Chief and the dramatic depth of life itself. It is not just about looks. I desire to put emotional drama into the design of this motorbike. And the Oni-demon does create this drama”

Shige’s design will be applied to a real Indian Motorcycle Chief later this year and revealed in the metal at a VIP event in London in Spring 2022, alongside designs from artists Mayonaize and Carlos Torres. Forty more of the world’s leading tattoo artists will all compete to have their Indian Motorcycle Chief designs made a reality in steel and paint later this Autumn by public vote.

Two Stunning Scout Customs from Indian Motorcycle Metz

The drag bike inspired ‘Hundred’ and the old school spirit of ‘Red Wings’

Renowned for igniting social media with their beautiful customs, the French dealer, Indian Motorcycle Metz, has again lit up social feeds with two more stunning Indian Scout Bobber builds.

Located in Woippy in the heart of Lorraine, Indian Motorcycle Metz built ‘Hundred’ to celebrate their milestone of selling 100 motorcycles in one year, while ‘Red Wings’ was all about the purity of old school motorcycles.

Approaching the Scout Bobber from two different directions, the drag bike inspired ‘Hundred’ and the retro spirit of ‘Red Wings’ show how imagination, carefully selected parts and attention to detail can create vastly different and totally unique rides from the same base bike.

Thomas Castany of Indian Motorcycle Metz said, “We make every effort to show a fun, young and dynamic image and there is no better way to express that than with the customs we create based on the Indian Scout. Indian Motorcycle is a legendary brand, and we are proud to represent it in Lorraine.”

The Sprint Spirit is clear in the Scout Bobber ‘Hundred’ which takes its inspiration straight from American drag strips where the smell of burnt rubber and gasoline reigns. Putting all their passion and know-how into the transformation of the Scout, the team at Indian Motorcycle Metz put in long days, working late into the evening.

For a riding position more suitable for the drag racing style, inverted Biltwell handlebars, a saddle kit from Wunderkind and a riser provides a more linear position. The intake is completely open to let the Scout breathe through a Trask Performance filter with a Freedom performance exhaust and Samco Performance reinforced water hoses handle the coolant. Riding on Arnott pneumatic shock absorbers and rims from Revtech fitted with Avon Cobra Chrome tyres, braking is taken care of with Galfer petal discs.

And the stunning livery was applied by AR Performance in Orange Lamborghini with 7 coats of varnish including a final ceramic varnish.

From the brash drag strip style to the simple, clean lines of the old school look. Indian Motorcycle Metz wanted to celebrate the Old School spirit by purifying the machine as much as possible and include details like the Monza style fuel cap and the Joker machined pulley cover.

To achieve this, Metz first raided the genuine Indian Motorcycle accessory catalogue for the rider controls with all-black Indian Motorcycle brake and clutch levers, Indian Motorcycle grips and genuine floorboards. The gorgeous floating solo seat is craftsmanship at its finest made to measure by Les Leathers Joff le Barbu and featuring the Indian Motorcycle roundel and Metz logo.

The bright chrome wire wheels, complemented by the Freedom Performance exhaust, are custom made by HD Wheels USA and the huge 200 section rear tyre rides on Arnott air suspension and is wrapped in a bespoke fender fabricated by Indian Motorcycle Metz. Contrasting the bright elements is the deep Apple Candy paint applied by AR Performance.

But the unique and eye-catching feature is the springer girder front end created especially for ‘Red Wings’ by Blechfee, the German specialist of handmade metal parts. Sporting a lenticular front light, Kellerman indicators and married to reinforced Klock Werks handlebars, the front end makes a real statement.
