New Moto Guzzi Models – GRISO 8V S.E.

The Griso S.E. comes alongside the elegant “Black Devil” graphic, the new Rosso Trophy livery, a colour concept that enhances the sport spirit of the attractive Larian naked. Both share the original silver graphic pattern, developed on a black or red satin base, that generates a strip of light that runs from the fuel tank to the side ducts.

Among the details making this a genuine special edition there are the attractive spoke wheels with a red Moto Guzzi logo cloned from high end new California 1400 Custom.

Powered by a modern transverse 90° V-twin “Quattrovalvole” series engine developing a peak power of approximately 110 hp at just 7500 rpm, the Griso 8V SE dominates the road with silky smooth power delivery and a commanding presence, inviting the rider to delve into the ability of the outstanding chassis to keep all those straining horses in check.

This is all thanks to the chassis, with twin overhead tubular elements in high tensile steel and the generously sized lateral reinforcement of the lower cradle, with ribbing that is much more than just an aesthetic suggestion but actually designed to confer extremely high torsional rigidity to the bike as a whole. The geometry has been defined for maximum stability, with a headstock inclined by of 26° resulting in a trail of 108 mm and a wheelbase of 1544 mm. Nonetheless, the Griso 8V SE is surprisingly nimble and sincere, rewarding the rider with lightning fast directional changes.

The impeccable road manners of the Griso 8V SE SE benefit from the low centre of gravity and the rock steady front end, with reduced offset plates to ensure an immediate and precise response to any steering input. This is a veritable scalpel on two wheels allowing the most discerning rider to carve perfect lines in the asphalt.

STYLE

With the Griso 8V SE, Moto Guzzi once more majestically demonstrates how it can come up with a concept then develop it without having to give in to technical, traditional or other constraints.

This machine is an instinctive creation, pure, solid as a rock and has a distinct personality. It appears simply as a work of art.

Design details, discreet hollows and unexpected new lines blend together in chrome and satin finished metal to form miracles of design. The fuel tank for example seems to bend to the power of the massive frame only to form an aerodynamic teardrop of exquisite beauty. The tail seems no more than an afterthought yet houses three high intensity LED light units. The Griso 8V is decidedly masculine and powerful yet the “Quattrovalvole” engine seems to be set like a jewel in a frame that shows off its revolutionary design to the utmost effect.

A glance at the fins carefully laid out on the black cylinders is all that is needed. They have been so designed to provide maximum cooling. The rocker covers too draw the eye and, bit by bit, the care and attention paid to the creation of this machine come clear especially when you examine the superb exhaust system. The incredible two-into-one exhaust system underscores the potential of the new Griso 8V.

Returning to the reality of performance, it becomes obvious that the sophisticated components are not mere technical details included for the sake of style. Take the front end that would be more at home on a racing bike with its oversized upside-down forks, radial calliper brakes and discs specially designed for maximum heat dispersion. The sporting lines of the saddle and bodywork complete the picture as do the new handlebars that have been specially designed to improve the aerodynamic package with the rider an integral part.

Details like this and simple intuition make the Griso 8V SE a machine to leave an impression before you even ride it.

COMFORT

Just sit astride the Griso 8V SE to really understand how unique it will be to ride.

With a new setup between saddle and the sports type handlebars, the Griso 8V welcomes the rider with a spectacular view of chromed, anodized and satin-finished components, displays and commands that leave nothing to the imagination.

Once aboard the Griso 8V the saddle that is only 800 mm from the road, grips the rider yet allows easy changes in riding position further aided by the slightly set-back high racing type footpegs.

The riding position is sporting where the rider is not “in” but over the engine and the feet feel “natural” on the footpegs. The rider’s body tends to lean in to the handlebars that are now wider and provide a perfect grip of the levers.

This position is ideal for precise accurate steering made even better perfectly designed front -end geometry and generous tyre sizes. The Griso is a hedonist’s dreams come true and the growl of the “Quattrovalvole” engine echoes in your ears even under the most difficult conditions like city traffic. The 8V SE takes conditions like these in its stride and the ease of changing direction and constant load on the front end make even such riding a pleasure. This however does not mean that the fashion naked from Mandello is not suited to more aggressive riding. In fact there are certain times when the total lack of vibration from the “Quattrovalvole” seems to get lost in the seductive style, the superb finish, the softness of commands and the of the completeness of the instrumentation.

It is at moments like this when the rider is in complete harmony with the machine, when he is in total command of an engine that can take him up to enormous speed or he can just cruise along with masses of torque ever on tap. One thing that is certain is that just looking at the rev counter can never really explain what the new Griso 8V SE is all about.

FRAME

Don’t let the long low profile fool you: the Griso 8V SE has handling that would not shame a supersport machine. The secret lies in the high-tensile steel frame with twin upper supports whose design owes little to aesthetics and much to sophisticated engineering concepts that provide exceptional rigidity under moments of extreme torsional stress. The tubular steel twin cradle frame is connected to a single-sided aluminium rear swingarm housing the CARC system.

The frame geometry had been carefully calculated to provide stability with the steering angle set at 26° and rake at 108 mm. The wheelbase measures 1544 mm and the Griso 8V SE is surprisingly maneuverable, even lightning fast in changes of direction.

These handling characteristics are due to the low centre of gravity and a rock solid off-set steering head that provides an immediate response to pressure on the handlebars. The front end is glued to the road thanks to upside down forks from racing stock. The 43 mm forks are adjustable for rebound and compression. A Boge progressive suspension unit is fitted to the rear and this too had three classic settings. The sophisticated suspension ensures a neutral set-up on entering and exiting corners, under acceleration from the 110 CV “Quattrovalvole” engine and under braking from the Brembo brake system. These brakes are both aesthetically pleasing and highly effective with their radial callipers acting on “wave” discs that have been specially designed for maximum heat dispersion.

What really counts in the frame is the sum of all the parts and, here again, the Griso is beyond compare.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The “Quattrovalvole” engine is the latest and most advanced evolution of the legendary transverse 90° V-twin. Since its debut, it has turned heads for its technological content and performance. This is in fact the most powerful production Moto Guzzi engine ever made, an achievement made possible by transplanting a new single overhead camshaft operating 4 valves for each cylinder, with an exhaust and intake valve inclination of 15.5° and 16.5° respectively.

These sophisticated mechanicals are unique in the motorcycling world in terms of both architecture and engineering clarity. Some of the most sophisticated solutions adopted for the engine include the timing system driven by morse chains with hydraulic tensioner skids, pistons forged in 3 segments and cooled by oil jets in the crankcase, the ultra light valves with 5 mm diameter stems and the conical section valve springs that eliminate resonance and power loss at high engine speeds. Lubrication and cooling are taken care of by two coaxial pumps driven by a gear train that pump oil through a separate channel in the head to reach the exhaust valve seats, where the highest temperatures are generated. The cylinders themselves also boast a distinctly modern design, with cooling fins tapered towards the front of the motorcycle, while the valve covers, emblazoned with the “Quattrovalvole” moniker, feature a floating system to reduce mechanical noise. For the fuel system, the “Quattrovalvole” engine implements new Marelli IWP 189 injectors mounted on throttle body ducts measuring a respectable 50 mm in diameter. The gearbox is a six speed mechanical masterpiece with a host of enviable attributes: it is quiet, boasts an easily locatable neutral position and is precise, thanks to the introduction of the noiseless and smooth single plate clutch.

The sum of all of this innovation is expressed in the engine’s vital statistics: an impressive 110 HP peak power at 7500 rpm with a maximum torque of 11 Kgm at 6400 rpm, earning the Mandello-made twin membership in the exclusive club of the most powerful air cooled engines ever made. Even with a final drive ratio of 12/44, the engine has a sufficient reserve of power to propel the bike beyond 230 Km/h. And while this figure may seem irrelevant for use on public roads, it is an unequivocal indicator of just how powerful the new Griso 8V SE DESIGN

New Moto Guzzi Models – STELVIO 1200 8V – NTX

Named after the famous Alpine pass that connects Valtelline Valley to Vinschgau Valley with 84 amazing s-bends between them, Stelvio has launched Moto Guzzi back among the stars of the maxi enduro world.

Looking at it, you can picture it completely at home not only amid the Alpine passes but even on the tracks of the Sahara, thanks to that special design that conjures up images of the great African marathons. Just note how its large, 32-litre tank and top fairing are united in a light fairing that combines the double headlight assembly, flush-mounted to protect it from any possible damage in the event of a fall.

Even the cockpit, containing a full range of instruments and designed to take a GPS navigation system, is conceived for travellers who will appreciate the possibility to adjust the windshield height and have the luggage rack integrated with the passenger grab handle and the fixings for the side panniers.

The heart beating inside this magnificent touring bike is the renowned V-shaped 90° transverse twin-cylinder “QV“1.2 engine – the highest performer of all the engine families manufactured at Mandello del Lario, which has now reached exclusive levels as far as its technical/performance development is concerned.

This version can boast careful attention to achieve more silent and smoother running, whilst tweaking the electronic controltiming and cooling system.

The integrated ignition and injection ECU exploits the signals sent by the two lambda probes to guarantee adequate feeding throughout the entire combustion cycle, improving the response to throttle control and low-to-mid-range power delivery, as well as notably reducing consumption and harmful emissions. The ATC (advanced traction control) system is also used: this system controls ignition advance and injection to cut torque delivery whenever a sudden loss of grip is detected so as to help the rider to remain in control under extreme, unexpected conditions. Like ABS, this device can be excluded.

In terms of performance, the “QV” boasts a maximum torque of over 113 Nm delivered at a mere 5,800 rpm, and easily reaches a peak in output of over 105 HP; it practically reaches an automobile-level speed of 7,250 rpm.

The NTX is the more “adventurous“ version of the Stelvio 8V, sharing all the technical features of the basic version but standing out for the sturdy, imposing “armour” that embraces it and comprises the oil sump guard, engine guard, cylinder guard, full cover hand-guards and extra large windshield with additional appendages to protect the rider and his bike from any dangers throughout his trip.

A bike dedicated to long haul travellers naturally needs luggage space, hence the spacious aluminium panniers and additional halogen lights. Even more luxury options are available on the accessory catalogue including a GPS navigator installation kitheated hand-gripsCA.RC protection (Compact Reactive Cardan Shaft Drive), aluminium top box for the NTX or side wind deflectors, extra large windshield, dedicated body coloured plastic polymer panniers and top box kit for the 8V version.

Comfort:

Unstoppable long-time tourers.

The Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 8V and NTX are great tourers that can also be used off-road, and with excellent performance on asphalt. These characteristics emerge immediately once you are seated on the bike, where the perception of carefully-designed ergonomics can be felt straight away: saddle, footrests and handlebar form a perfect triangle for all users. Moreover, for the perfectionists, there is still room for minor adjustmentswindshieldsaddle height (820 or 840 mm)handlebar inclination, levers, pedals, as well as race-style adjusters for hydraulic compression/rebound damping.

In a few seconds, everything is at the right place to face any challenge, from city traffic to the most inaccessible off-road paths. In motion, reduced vibration and the efficient aerodynamic protection offered by the top fairing and windshield and the side wind deflectors (dedicated for NTX) ensure comfort for both rider and passenger – ideal for tackling long trips.

With regards the controls, the dashboard has a 12V power outlet, a fuse box compartment and an instrument panel with analogue rpm indicator and a display with a six-mark fuel indicator that integrates with other on-board computer functions such as average and current consumption, average speed, trip time, maximum speed peak reached and diagnostics. The display also lets you control hand grip heating (option) and activate the ATC system, fitted as standard on both models.

Chassis, suspension and brakes

Designed for non conventional paths.

You should not be mislead by its luxury off-road appearance: the driving effectiveness of the Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 8V and NTX is superior to the average of many road motorcycles, despite being equipped for the unexpected and to withstand off-road driving strain.

The secret is the new upper twin spar frame, made of high-strength steel, with 2.5mm thick directional tubes, where the engine is anchored through six connecting points, two more than in usual frames, which give high rigidity to the assembly at twisting moments.

Chassis positions have been defined to facilitate handling: a headstock with a 27° inclination for a 125mm trail, improved by a 1535-mm wheelbase to ensure impeccable steering precision.

High quality suspension whose adjustable pre-load and hydraulic response during compression and rebound combine to ensure instant, smooth response to pressure on the handlebar. The front end is controlled by a new upside-down Marzocchi fork with 45mm stanchions and 170mm travel whereas, at the rear, suspension kinematic mechanisms with a progressive rising rate are moved by a Sachs unit that works on a 155mm stroke.

The refined suspension department guarantees a neutral setting at all times, whether coming out of a bend (with the action of the 105 horsepower generated by the “QV” engine) or braking (with the quick deceleration generated by the three-disc Brembo braking system supported by Continental ABS (that can be disengaged), fitted as standard on NTX and Stelvio 1200 8V). Both have a pair of 320mm front discs and a rear disc of 282mm.

With regards the wheels, the two versions are very different: tubeless spoke wheels for the NTX, and in light alloy for the 8V. Both take a rear tyre of 150/70-17.

Engine and transmission.

The “QV” evolution continues.

The Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 8V and NTX boast the latest evolution of the “QV” 1.2 engine”, universally acknowledged as the most advanced version of the legendary V-shaped 90° transverse twin-cylinder.

This highly sophisticated mechanical gem, which is unique in terms of both architecture and engineering clarity, is built using advanced components and technical solutions. Worth mentioning are the raised cam profile single camshaft timing system driven by silent “Morse” type chains” with hydraulic chain tensioners, the forged pistons with three rings cooled by oil jets in the crankcase, the ultra-light valves in special alloy steel with 5mm stems, and the conical valve springs that eliminate resonance and power loss at high engine speeds. Lubrication and cooling are ensured by two coaxial pumps that circulate lubricant through a separate duct in the head up to the exhaust valve seats, where the highest temperatures develop. The cylinders feature an extremely modern design, with the cooling fins tapered toward the front of the cylinders, while the valve covers – which proudly flaunt the “QV” moniker – feature a floating mounting system to reduce mechanical noise.

As far as the fuel system goes, the “QV” engine uses the new Marelli IWP 189 injectors on the intake duct of the sizeable 50mm throttle bodies, whereas the integrated ignition and injection ECU now exploits the signals from two lambda probes to guarantee adequate fuel metering throughout the entire combustion cycle, improving response to throttle control and mid-range power delivery, as well as consumption and emission levels. In terms of electronic components, the Stelvio 1200 8V and NTX adopt the ATC anti-slide system – an invaluable aid to keep out of trouble in poor grip conditions.

The gearbox is a genuine 6-speed mechanical gem of engineering, that excels for: quiet operation, easily selectable neutral, and precision. This is also thanks to the introduction of the quiet and smooth single-plate clutch.

New Moto Guzzi Models – Eldorado, Audace and California 1400 Touring S.E.

If Roman gods had ridden motorcycles, the Moto Guzzi Eldorado would have been chosen by Bacchus. This was how Cycle World magazine concluded their test of the luxurious Italian bike, the latest evolution of the 90° V-twin with cardan final drive introduced in the States in the late sixties by the importer Berliner Group. The metaphor effectively highlighted the intoxication experienced on a modern, powerful, luxurious and fast bike, painstakingly studied down to the smallest details and extremely satisfying to ride. Forty years later the experience is repeated in the shape and substance of the new Eldorado.

Staying on the theme of mythology, the new Eldorado leads us to Janus, the two-headed divinity who is the keeper of all passages and transitions. By looking at it one can see clearly how this Moto Guzzi has preserved the personality of its ancestor, drawing it from the past to the future along the path of technological evolution and stylistic continuity.

The flashback effect comes out in the details: the spoke wheels, the fuel tank with chromium sides, the oversize saddle, the rear mudguard with the gem-shaped taillight, the bullhorn handlebar, the passenger grab handle.

With a lower setup thanks to the new sixteen inch spoke wheels that mount whitewall tyres (130/90 on the front and 180/65 on the rear), attention is drawn to the new wraparound mudguards. The front has a particularly “clean” design which enhances the powerful front end, whereas the rear, on the other hand, is the element that draws the most attention on this ultra elegant Moto Guzzi. Its smooth and generous shape integrates with the new full cover shock absorbers, the gem-shaped rear light cluster and the classic rounded turn indicators.

At the front the Eldorado, like the Touring and Custom models, is also distinguishable by its original complex surface headlight with polyelliptical light equipped with LED daylight running light (DRL). Speaking of digital technologies, the instrumentation is particularly satisfying, contained in a 150 mm diameter circular panel with the analogue rev counter scale finding its place along the external circumference and a multifunction full-matrix suspended display at the centre, all packaged neatly, like a luxury watch, in a bright chromium housing.

You never get on the Eldorado, but rather you settle comfortably into the saddle. Positioned just 724 mm from the ground, the new saddle, together with the generous floorboards an the comfortable bullhorn handlebar grip, is an invitation to take a seat, press the start button and let the asphalt roll under your feet for at least 300 kilometres, which is the minimum range guaranteed by the sculpturesque 21 litre fuel tank.

If the road is a never-ending Interstate Highway you can activate cruise control by pressing the button on the right-hand electric block and sail along as you listen to the throbbing 90° V-twin filtered by the big block’s elastic-kinematic mounting system, knowing that if you need or desire it, the cardan final drive will be ready to unleash up to 120 Nm onto the tarmac at 2,750 rpm. Technically unchanged, the twin cylinder confirms its monumental architecture enhanced by the polished valve covers with Moto Guzzi silk-screened on them and the tight and smoothed cooling fins. The engine is an absolute benchmark in its category for engine capacity-performance-consumption ratio thanks to excellent thermodynamic performance combined with advanced Ride-by-wire multimap electronic management. This technology allows the rider to choose one of three engine management maps: Turismo, Veloce and Pioggia. And that’s not all: the dynamic performance of the vehicle is also kept under control by its latest generation traction control system (MGCT) which can be adjusted on three actuation levels in order to increase active safety without impacting performance and riding pleasure.

Moto Guzzi Audace: The muscle bike that scrapes the asphalt.

Ostentatious, muscular and fierce, the Audace can be picked out immediately by its front end, made stylistically lighter by the circular headlight unit and the carbon mudguard mounted on a fork without any telescope covering. It has no chromium plating so every mechanical detail, each small exposed metallic part is dark as night, an ideal condition for fully enjoying a bike in solitude with the striking beauty of the Audace.

Light comes through only in the stark contrast with the colour of the lateral strip that shows several brand new details. Like the undersump lug that gives the side view a gritty look, the metallic radiator grille and the short megaphone exhaust which, despite its rebellious look, is actually Euro 4 approved.

The side panel covers have also been changed, lightened like the passenger footpeg bracket. The platform footboards mounted on all the other models in the range are gone here, as is the rocker gear shift control in order to make room for sportier footpegs mounted farther forward and the classic gear shifter pedal.

Particular attention was given to the saddle, covered in Alcantara skai with exposed red stitching, lowered in terms of the seating position and installation ready for the foldaway passenger seat. The drag handlebar is also new which, thanks to the forward position of the footpegs and the different seating level, create a longer and more dominating riding position.

Another particularly elegant feature is the burnished valve covers, the rear shock absorbers with separate gas bottle and the alloy wheels personalised with the Moto Guzzi logo, as well as the minimal mirrors.

Powerful and aggressive, the Audace looks as if it is crouched down on its haunches like a large feline ready to unleash its explosive power to scratch the asphalt, leaving the mark of its oversize 200/65 rear tyre. The generosity of the 1400 cc “Made in Mandello” 90° V-twin is well known by now and on the Audace, thanks to the exhaust system with redesigned fluid dynamics, is even more lively at high revs. As a result, thanks in part to weighing a few kilos less, the Audace is definitely quicker off the line. It will certainly be the one that is most used with the “Veloce” output map and the one where the MGTC traction control system will need to intervene most often…

Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring S.E.: a change of clothes.

In addition to the Nero Ambassador and Bianco Eldorado versions, for 2015 the California Touring is available in a new version called “S.E.”

Characterised by a new two-tone graphic, this version, which has a built-in passenger backrest and grab handle, emphasises the virtual continuity with its ancestors through the reinterpretation of various style elements. The most obvious of these are connected to the profile of the saddle, the chromium grab handle and the side panels inspired by the T3 as well as a ratio between the fuel tank and engine sizes which favours the latter, just like the style of the glorious V7 and V850.

This impression is given especially by the ingenious fuel tank, made in metal, with a 21 litre central body and two side covers where the Eagle logo is proudly displayed, moulded on the powerful thermal units of the round headed 1400 cc engine.

This impression is further accentuated by the horizontal lines of the highly polished silencers that end at the rear mudguard, moulded over the impressive 200 tyre and equipped with a spectacular dual LED light cluster that also includes the turn indicators. The front view is no less impressive, with a complex surface headlight unit and a polyelliptical light with LED daylight running light (DRL).

The particular polygon shape of the headlight dominates the luxurious front end, enriched in classic California tradition by the windshield and supplementary lights, painted to match the body, as well as the new front deflectors.

The lightweight alloy wheels are an original ribbed design like the headlight frame, the supplementary lights, the handlebar and the valve covers.

The 46 mm front fork is another throwback to its glorious ancestors: completely sealed by dominating “telescopes” which are now chromium plated. Intended for those who devour kilometres, the California Touring S.E. is unrivalled in terms of comfort and load capacity thanks to its generous saddle and the spacious and elegant 35 litre side panniers, the cruise control feature and the dampening action of the elastic kinematic engine mounting system. The engine mounted is the sculpturesque 1380 cc big bore, the absolute top of its class in terms of performance and consumption, equipped with Ride-by-wire multimap electronic engine management.

This technology allows the rider to choose one of three engine management maps: Turismo, Veloce and Pioggia.

The dynamic performance of the vehicle is also kept under control by its traction control system (MGCT) which can be adjusted on three actuation levels in order to increase active safety without impacting performance and riding pleasure.

Mandello final preparations are feverishly underway in anticipation of the peaceful invasion by Moto Guzzi fans who traditionally descend upon the Larian town in the second weekend of September.

Friday 12 September, at 3:00 PM, the famed red gate with the golden eagle at Via Parodi 57 will open to welcome enthusiasts who want to discover or relive the experience of visiting a unique factory. An appointment with history to appreciate the industrial architecture, the ingeniousness of the Wind tunnel and more than 150 motorcycles on display, from the original GP (Guzzi-Parodi) to the MGS01, as well as the first Normale manufactured in 1921 which was returned to the Museum this year in all its antique splendour after an extensive restoration.

Moving on from the historically significant bikes to modern ones, this year visitors will once again have the chance to test the major models in the 2014 range for free, from the luxurious California 1400 to the refined V7 in all of the various versions, taking a ride which will lead to the entrance of Lecco and Varenna. To do this, fans will need to sign up directly inside the plant at the “Test Ride” area.

A feature of the 2014 Moto Guzzi Open House edition which is sure to be popular is the Custom Area, where fans will be able to admire not only the major models in the 2014 range, but also the most prestigious “Specials” built on small and big block bases by the most famous “custom made shops” in the sector: RossoPuro, South Garage, Millepercento and the German Radical Guzzi bikes.

The bookshop will contain plenty of new articles with a sneak peek of the 2015 fashion and accessories collection as well as the chance to purchase the previous collections at outlet prices.

In the spirit of the hospitality and warm welcome that makes Mandello a place any biker loves, this year visitors will be able to camp for free again in the Lido area under a starry sky (at least that’s what everyone is hoping for!) and with one of the most beautiful views of the Lario.

THE LOCATIONS OF THE MOTO GUZZI LEGEND AND PASSION:

TEST RIDE
This is an opportunity not to be missed by any motorcycle enthusiast: the opportunity to test the motorcycles in the Moto Guzzi range, right here in the place where every Moto Guzzi is born, on the magnificent roads that run along Lake Como.
Test riding will be held on Saturday 13 September and Sunday 14 September from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM with registration opening at 9:30 AM.
Also included in the bikes being tested is the magnificent California 1400, powered by the most powerful V twin ever manufactured in Europe. For those who sign up for test rides a comfortable area outfitted in true Moto Guzzi spirit will be available, where they can wait their turn to ride and then compare notes on the models they have tested when they return.

THE MUSEUM
From 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday 12 September and from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday 13 September and Sunday 14 September, the Moto Guzzi Historical Museum will be open to the public. This space contains more than 150 models that have made the history of the Mandello Eagle, an extraordinary path going back to the roots of the Moto Guzzi legend.
Factory bikes, racing bikes, prototypes and engines are accompanied by an exceptional collection of never before seen photographs and documents which narrate the deeds of one of the most noble brands in global motorcycling, capable of producing models which became legends.

ENGINE ASSEMBLY LINE
This is the area of the plant where the legendary twin cylinder engines, the emblem of Moto Guzzi, are assembled by hand, one by one. Here a unique engine was born and made history, an engine that marked the history of Moto Guzzi and global motorcycling and which, in its subsequent evolutions, came to represent the largest V-twin engine ever made in Europe in the 1400 version that equips the brand new California.

MOTORCYCLE ASSEMBLY LINES
Here the Moto Guzzi bikes take shape. Here the finished twin cylinder meets the motorcycle that will accompany it for the rest of its life. On the line visitors will be able to follow, step by step, operation by operation, the birth of that jewel of technology and Italian end product that each Moto Guzzi has represented for more than 90 years.

WIND TUNNEL
First commissioned in the Mandello del Lario plant in 1950, this was the first example of a wind tunnel for aerodynamic motorcycle testing. A singularly fascinating place, today it is the testament to a technological first and a glorious history that only Moto Guzzi possesses.

CUSTOM AREA
This is the area where visitors will find the test ride accreditation desk and the area reserved for the pre-ride briefing and post-ride debriefing, meeting the Mandello-based manufacturer engineers and admiring the specials built based on Moto Guzzi models
