Last year, Kawasaki once again partnered with the annual Motorcycle Live show to give one lucky visitor a chance to win a brand-new Ninja 400.
With the competition closing in February, Kawasaki is pleased to announce Jason Evans as the winner, collecting his new bike from Drayton Croft over the weekend.
The multiple-choice question saw thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts enter for their chance to win the championship-winning Ninja 400, including first registration fee, 12 months road tax, a number plate and insurance worth up to £250, courtesy of Kawasaki Insurance.
The winner was then picked at random from the correct entries, with Jason Evans being the lucky recipient! Having ridden for 32 years, this will be Jason’s first Kawasaki and he is excited to be joining the Ninja fold this summer. “I still can’t quite believe I was so lucky! I’ve been riding since I was 17 and this is going to be my first time owning a Kawasaki myself – although my wife has a Z650 and my dream bike growing up was a Ninja, so I’ve always been a fan.
I remember entering the competition after visiting the show last year, but I’ll be honest, I really didn’t think I would get lucky. So much so, that I still wasn’t completely convinced when Craig Watson, the Sales & Marketing Manager from Kawasaki first told me I was the lucky winner! It’s incredible to win such a stunning bike and it’s a fantastic addition to my garage.
I’m going to be using it throughout the summer for sure. I’ve got a fair bit of riding planned, including a trip to the Isle of Man TT, MotoGP at Silverstone and hopefully some British and World Superbike races too.”

Devitt Insurance MCN London Motorcycle Show Welcomes Thousands Of Fans.
This weekend, 32,399 motorcycle fans, an increase on last year, descended on the Capital to celebrate the very best of two wheels at the Devitt Insurance MCN London Motorcycle Show. Alongside 15 of the world’s leading manufacturers showcasing the latest in new metal, visitors were treated to an explosion of noise, with the world’s first indoor Supersprint taking over the centre of the Show.
London’s Docklands came alive with the sights and sounds of two wheels over the weekend for the annual Devitt Insurance MCN London Motorcycle Show. Often seen as the event to kick-start the riding season, the Show had a fresh look for 2023, welcoming Devitt Insurance as the title sponsor and introducing a brand new live-action show with the world’s first indoor Supersprint. The three-day event saw 32,399 visitors pass through the doors, an increase compared to the 2022 show.
Taking over the centre of the Show, the Supersprint saw a host of iconic machinery, including Barry Sheene’s World-Championship winning Suzuki, Peter Hickman’s 2023 British Superbike, Honda’s MotoGP-derived RC213V-S, the BMW F900 R Cup bikes and the Triumph Scrambler’s from the James Bond film ‘No Time To Die’ roar down the strip in a high-speed explosion of noise. Leading the way in each race were Isle of Man TT legends Peter Hickman and John McGuinness, who also spent time catching up with visitors and signing autographs.
One of the major attractions was the latest ‘new metal’ from 15 of the world’s leading manufacturers. BMW, BSA, CCM, Ducati, Harley Davidson, Indian, Kawasaki, KTM, Kymco, Norton, Royal Enfield, Segway, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha were in attendance, showcasing some stunning machines, including the UK debut of several bikes such as the KTM 790 Adventure and 890 Adventure, Kymco AK 550 Premium and the first-ever Segway electric scooters.
BMW Motorrad UK National Marketing and PR Manager Scott Grimsdall said, “The London Motorcycle Show is always a great way to kick off the year, and particularly encouraging to talk to so many riders new to motorcycling. The new Supersprint show added another level of excitement, particularly for some of our keen F 900 R Cup racers.”
With London being the ideal location for electric machines, many manufacturers used the Show to exhibit their revolutionary bikes, including Kawasaki’s Ninja EV, BMW CE04 and the Sur-Ron range. Yamaha also gave visitors a chance to experience electric power with the Neo Scooter Experience.
There was plenty on offer for race fans, with the Manx Grand Prix starting their centenary celebrations at the Show. Alongside a collection of race machines, stars such as Lee Johnston, Dominic Herbertson, Stephen Smith, and McGuinness were around to spend time with visitors and tell tales from the incredible Isle of Man.
For those eager to explore the world, the Adventure Zone sponsored by Caberg proved a popular spot, with the stage hosting an array of talks from some of the most intrepid explorers of recent years, including Austin Vince, Elspeth Beard and Vanessa Ruck. Visitors were also able to grab a bargain from many of the industry’s leading brands, with Roadskin Owner Nicky Wilson saying, “It’s been a phenomenal show for us, by far the best show we’ve ever had at the Excel. We’ve sold out completely of several Roadskin lines, which we didn’t anticipate, and we have been fully rushed off our feet all weekend!”
On Saturday, Silverstone Auctions gave visitors the opportunity to secure some incredibly rare machines, with just under 150 motorcycles going under the hammer, with a sale rate of 80%. Everything from pre-war machines to modern classics were up for sale, with over £850,000 in sales being generated. Highlights included a 1995 Ducati Senna 1 916cc (sold for £38,250), a 1982 Kawasaki Z1000J2 998cc (sold for £16,875) and a 1994 Ducati 888 Corse 926cc (sold for £47,250).

The countdown to the Capital’s biggest celebration of two wheels is on! From Friday, February 17 to Sunday 19, bikers across the country will be flocking to the ever-popular Devitt Insurance MCN London Motorcycle Show. The annual celebration of everything two-wheeled, the show marks the first major event of the season, giving riders a chance to dust off their machines after a long winter.
The 2023 event looks set to be one of the biggest in the show’s history, with an incredible 15 manufacturers in attendance showcasing the latest new metal. Fans will be able to get up close and personal with the 2023 machines from the likes of BMW, BSA, CCM, Ducati, Harley Davidson, Indian, Kawasaki, KTM, Kymco, Norton, Royal Enfield, Segway, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha.
From learners and commuters to Superbikes and tourers, there will be something for everyone to check out; however, some of the stars of the show include Kawasaki’s first-ever electric machine, the UK debut of the KTM 790 Adventure and 890 Adventure, the first showing of the Kymco AK 550 Premium, the show debut of the Segway electric scooters, and Suzuki’s new V-Strom 800DE adventure bike. The next Silverstone Auctions Motorcycle sale includes two bikes with links to James Bond – a 2022 Triumph Tiger and a 2020 Triumph ‘Bond Edition’ 1200 XS Scrambler 130/250. If you are a bike enthusiast who loves the world of secret agent James Bond 007, then attending this sale is a must.
The 2022 Triumph Tiger bike is number 146 of 250 Triumph Tiger 900 ‘Bond Editions’ with only six delivery miles on the clock. It is estimated to sell for £23,000 to £25,000.
It was created to celebrate Triumph’s partnership with the Bond franchise and limited to only 250 bikes worldwide. It featured extensively in the most recent Bond film “No Time To Die”.
The bike is based on the market-leading Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro. This delivery-mileage example comes complete with its original book pack, two keys and optional off-road tyres. It shows only six (6) recorded miles and is UK-registered with a V5C.

Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show bounces back with bumper weekend.
After a one-year hiatus, the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show roared back into the capital with a bumper weekend of two-wheel action. Featuring exclusive machines from 21 of the world’s leading motorcycle brands, a unique tribute to MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi, and edge-of-your-seat live-action racing, tens of thousands of bike fans flocked to ExCeL London to kick-start the biking season.
As always, the biggest attraction for the 31,814 fans who attended across the three days was the abundance of exotica on display from the 21 manufacturers exhibiting at the show. Artisan Electric, BMW, Can-AM, CCM, Ducati, Honda, Indian Motorcycle, Kawasaki, KTM, Langen Motorcycles, Lexmoto, Macrais, Maeving, Royal Enfield, Suzuki, Talaria UK, Triumph, Ural Motorcycles, Yamaha, Voge UK and Yadea were all showcasing the latest 2022 machines.
Many manufacturers also used the show to unveil a host of special machines to the public. BMW brought the BMW Concept CE 02 and Vision AMBY machines, the first time they were seen publicly in the UK, while Ducati unveiled the DesertX, which was seen for the first time in Europe outside of Italy. Kawasaki used the Show and the London backdrop to launch the official FS-3 Racing British Superbike Championship livery, while the all-new Gas Monkey Garage FHO Racing BMW that Peter Hickman will use at the 2022 Isle of Man TT was also on display. Suzuki brought seven rare world championship-winning machines, including Barry Sheene’s XR14s, Kevin Schwantz’s RGV500 and Joan Mir’s 2020 MotoGP winning GSX-RR, while Yamaha showcased the 2021 title-winning machines of MotoGP star Fabio Quartararo, World Superbike ace Toprak Razgatlioğlu and British Superbike hero Tarran Mackenzie.
Alongside launching his TT machine, Peter Hickman spent the weekend going head-to-head with fellow TT icon John McGuinness in a series of live-action races. Battling to be crowned MCN’s ‘King of the Road,’ the duo also had to beat a host of other riders, including Dominic Herbertson, Tim and Tom Neave, Chrissy Rouse, Danny Webb, and Charlie Nesbitt.
Race fans were also able to see a stunning tribute to MotoGP icon Valentino Rossi. Having spent 26 years competing at the highest levels of motorcycle racing, the Italian star finally hung up his leathers. To celebrate a monumental career, the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show flew in six of his Championship-winning machines, including his four MotoGP Yamahas from 2004, 2005, 2008 and 2009 alongside his two 125cc and 250cc Aprilias from the 1997 and 1999 seasons.
For those visitors looking for a trip down memory lane, Silverstone Auctions had 100 rare bikes under the hammer, generating over £700,000 in sales with over 80% of machines being sold. The auction achieved a world record sale price for a Honda CB400 1978 F2 model which went for £15,950.
The Adventure Zone – sponsored by Spada also kept visitors enthralled with a host of chats from some intrepid explorers, including Bruce Smart, Ben King, Robert Hughes, Vanessa Ruck, Nick Sanders, Jack Groves, Michael Guy, Chris Donaldson, Simon Weir, Alex Navarette, Fern Hume, The Sidecar Guys, Tiffany Coates, John Small, Timothy Angus, Nathan Millward and Henry Crew. For custom bike fans, the Built Custom Bike Zone – styled by SPIDI saw a jaw-dropping display of custom bikes on show from some of Europe’s most exciting builders.

Taking over the centre of the show, the free races are bar-to-bar action that will keep everyone on the edge of their seats. The Friday has been nicknamed ‘Fire-up Friday’, and will see a whole host of machines coming to life in an explosion of noise. For those riders looking to escape this year, the Adventure Zone – sponsored by Spada will see a host of intrepid explorers taking to the stage to talk about their incredible adventures and share tips and advice for those looking to make their own trips. Some of the names confirmed to be taking to the stage include Bruce Smart, Ben King, Robert Hughes, Vanessa Ruck, Nick Sanders, Jack Groves, Michael Guy, Chris Donaldson, Simon Weir, Alex Navarette, Fern Hume, The Sidecar Guys, Tiffany Coates, John Small, Timothy Angus, Nathan Millward and Henry Crew.
For custom bike fans, Built Magazine is bringing some of Europe’s hottest builders together to the Built Custom Bike Zone – styled by SPIDI. This unique space will be a must-visit part of the show for those who want to see an array of stunning custom bikes.

Ducati UK head to the capital this year with several new models making their UK debuts.
The most notable of the debuts is undeniably the new DesertX. First presented as a concept bike in 2019, the DesertX project has come to fruition in 2022. This will be the first time the DesertX will be shown in UK and is a unique opportunity to see the bike before its May arrival in dealerships.
The DesertX is a bike with a profound off-road attitude, with its 21” front wheel and 18” rear, the new DesertX has been designed to take on the most difficult off- road conditions. Whether it be, Desert Dunes, off road trails, gravel roads or mountain passes, the DesertX is ready for the challenge.
Also making its UK debut is the Panigale V4 S 2022, raising the benchmark to new heights and taking a significant evolutionary step. The new Panigale V4 S become even faster on the racetrack and at the same time more intuitive and less tiring for a wide range of sport riders. It has been improved in all areas: aerodynamics, ergonomics, engine, chassis and electronics.
An addition to the Superbike family will be the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary, already in high demand due to its high specification componentry and eye-catching livery.
For those preferring their V2 naked, there is the Streetfighter V2 landing on showroom floors very soon, joining the current Streetfighter V4 S and the glorious Streetfighter V4 SP. Resplendent in its Winter Test livery, the SP come as a numbered version, with premium equipment derived from the Superleggera V4.

Introducing a new triple-powered dimension to the competitive middleweight roadster world. The Triumph Trident test photography shows the all new model to come in its final stage of testing, in and around Triumphs HQ in Hinckley UK, where the new Trident has been designed and developed.
Following on from the reveal of the Trident design prototype at the London Design Museum in August 2020, the test photography showcase represents the last stage of development prior to the launch of this all new Triumph. Photographed during its final road test phase, near to Triumphs global headquarters and design facility at Hinckley in the UK, the test motorcycle carries Triumph’s test livery scheme and a #TriumphTrident to learn more about this new model.

Through the final testing stages the Triumph product team have been fine tuning the characteristics that will make the new Trident the first choice for a new generation of Triumph riders: bringing all the advantages of a Triple to the category, with class-leading technology as standard, and an agile and rider-friendly chassis and ergonomics.

The Trident design prototype comes as a result of a 4 year development programme led by a dedicated team in our design facility in the UK, Triumph’s global headquarters, where every single Triumph is designed and prototyped.
Conceived and developed by the Hinckley design team, with additional styling input from Rodolfo Frascoli, the Trident brief was focused on delivering a distinctive, dynamic and attractive new take on Triumph style and attitude.
Working with Rodolfo, a passionate Triumph fan who has brought Italian design flair to the Triumph design language – most notably with our latest generation Tiger 900, the team focused on evolving what a contemporary Triumph should be, building on our recognised strengths and design DNA, the character and distinctive original style.
Following our ethos to develop all aspects of a design in harmony, from the style, to the ergonomics, integrated technology and engine performance the Trident brief centred on delivering the complete motorcycle for the perfect ride.

Central to the overall form and brief, the Trident is built around a compact powerful Triumph triple engine, designed to bring all the advantages of a triple to the category for the first time, with the perfect balance of low down torque and top end power.
With a distinctive and confident stance & poise, the Trident will deliver rider ergonomics crafted to bring all of Triumph’s handling expertise, for the perfect balance of an engaged agile and dynamic ride, with an all-new chassis, married to great rider accessibility, comfort and confidence inspiring feel, including a natural upright riding position.

Despite Storm Dennis battering the UK, nearly 40,000 motorcycle fans defied the conditions and flocked to ExCeL for the annual Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show. Two-wheel enthusiasts were able to get close to the latest 2020 motorcycles from the world’s leading manufacturers, see exotic racing machines past and present, rub shoulders with a host of biking celebs and grab a bargain at one of the many retailers on display.
Valentine’s weekend once again saw 39,276 motorcycle enthusiasts descend on the capital for the annual Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show, with the three-day extravaganza celebrating the very best of motorcycling. For many visitors, the main attraction was being able to get up close and personal with the latest machines from AJS, BMW, CCM, CF Moto, Ducati, ECOOTER, Honda, Husqvarna, Indian, Kawasaki, KTM, Mutt Motorcycles, MV Agusta, Royal Enfield, Suzuki, Triumph, Yamaha and Zero. Visitors to the show were also able to see the UK debut of the AMB 001 motorcycle, a unique collaboration between Aston Martin and Brough Superior.
The exclusives continued with a special celebration feature of the UK’s most famous motorcycle racer, Barry Sheene, proving a big hit with fans. Nine genuine race bikes from his incredible career were on show whilst former teammate Steve Parrish and Barry’s former chief technician Martyn Ogborne shared tales live on stage. Freddie Sheene, Barry’s son, also visited the show to see the display.
The Michelin Thunderdrome created a storm in the centre of the show, as TT legends Peter Hickman, John McGuinness, Michael Rutter, James Hillier, Dominic Herbertson, Craig Neve, Phil Crowe and Taylor Mackenzie went head-to-head in action-packed races every day. With nail-bitingly close finishes, hilarious antics and some dramatic spills, the family-friendly racing action proved to be a show highlight.
There was a lot more in store for race enthusiasts, with World Superbike star Leon Haslam meeting fans on the Honda stand and Carl Fogarty and Dougie Lampkinon the CCM stand. There were several livery unveilings as John McGuinness revealed the Quattro Plant Bournemouth Kawasaki he will use at the TT, Massingberd-Mundy Kawasaki and OMG Racing British Superbike teams also unveiled their 2020 liveries.
In keeping with the TT theme, the 2020 Isle of Man TT Classic races were officially launched at the show, with the organisers bringing along a host of star machines for fans to see. Based in the popular John McGuinness Bar sponsored by Shoei, the bikes on display included the 750cc Kawasaki that David Johnson rode in the RST Classic TT Superbike Race, Jamie Coward’s race-winning 350cc Honda, Bruce Anstey’s Padgetts Racing 250cc and McGuinness’ 500cc Paton.
Alpinestars unveiled their 2020 spring range exclusively at the Carole Nash MCN Show and MCN used the event to launch their UK Helmet Amnesty, which encouraged hundreds of riders to dump their unsafe crash helmets and take advantage of the many deals retailers had on offer.
Elsewhere, the Bonhams Classic Zone took fans back in time with a host of rare classics, which included machines from the Morbidelli Collection and the National Motorcycle Museum. The Custom & Cafe Racer Zone – Styled by Spada showcased some incredible machines from Europe’s best custom bike builders.
Visitors looking for inspiration for their next big trip found plenty of motivation in the Adventure and Travel Zone, which saw some of the world’s most intrepid motorcycle explorers take to the stage to share tales from their incredible journeys. The Women Riders World Relay team, the world’s largest motorcycle relay, also stopped by the show to check out the displays and meet fellow riders.

Quattro Plant Bournemouth Kawasaki Ninja ZX‑10RR unveiled at 2020 MCN London Motorcycle Show.
Today the 2020 Ninja ZX-10RR that will be ridden by John McGuinness was revealed to motorcycling fans attending the annual MCN London Motorcycle Show at the Kawasaki stand.
Earlier in the year, the Quattro Plant Bournemouth Kawasaki team announced their plans for the upcoming road race season (full story here), including having signed 23 time Isle of Man TT race winner, John McGuinness.
John McGuinness, who celebrates 30 years of racing this year, will ride Ninja ZX-10RR machinery in the Superbike and Superstock classes at both the Isle of Man TT and International North West 200 road races.
Kawasaki Motors UK Senior Racing Coordinator, Ross Burridge said, “Not only is it great to have John McGuinness riding a Kawasaki this year, he’s going to be doing so on this stunning machine! After recently announcing an all new partnership with Team Green and Kawasaki UK, the Massingberd-Mundy Kawasaki livery has today been unveiled on the Kawasaki stand at the MCN London Motorcycle Show.
With the FS-3 Racing, MSS Performance and Affinity Sports Academy machines all on display, the covers were whisked off to reveal a show stopping design for the 2020 British Superbike season.
The racing machines will all be seen on track together for the first time at round 1 of the British Superbikes Championship, taking place at Silverstone on 10th April.
Kawasaki Motors UK Senior Racing Coordinator, Ross Burridge said, “We are excited to finally reveal to the public what we have been working on so hard behind the scenes. We believe the new liveries are very striking and will stand out on track, both at BSB and also at roads racing. The Ducati Scrambler based specials created by participants in the Custom Rumble, the contest that every two years rewards the best-looking customized Ducati Scrambler, are ready to be voted on Scramblerducati.com.
The contest, registrations for which closed in December 2019, has arrived at a total of 74 completed bikes, divided into the five categories renewed for this third edition. To leave room for reinterpretation and creativity, each customizer was able to choose between four categories dedicated to Ducati Scrambler 800 and Sixty2 and a specific one for the Ducati Scrambler 1100:
Rocker: motorcycles inspired by the culture of the legendary café racers that in the 60s gave birth to a revolution in the world of two wheels
Cut-down: bobber-style motorcycle in which every element not strictly necessary is eliminated for an essential look
All-Terrain: Enduro-style Scrambler, perfect for any terrain and equipped with off-road-inspired components
Outsider: designed for those who do not want to limit themselves to one category, but unleash their creativity
Bully: the special category dedicated to the Ducati Scrambler 1100, without any restrictions on the type of bike or style
Site users can vote for their favourite bike by March 15, thus determining the five finalists (one per category) who will fly to Bike Shed London 2020 for the final on May 23, 2020. The prize for the best custom Ducati Scrambler will be awarded by a jury of experts.
Bike Shed London is one of the top European events for fans of custom and post-heritage motorcycle culture, and is open to all. It takes place 22-24 May at Tobacco Docks, a stunning, grade 1 listed, riverside dock, over two huge floors, converted into a modern exhibition complex. Ducati Scrambler, with the Custom Rumble contest, whose aim is to stimulate the imagination and creativity of builders, fits perfectly into this context which includes the exhibition of more than 250 curated motorcycles.

Honda will be attending The 2020 Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show on the 14-16th Feb. After the success of Motorcycle Live, Honda’s flagship models including the all-new CBR1000RR-R Fireblade and CRF1100L Africa Twin(s) will once again go on display. The MCN show spans three days and will play host to over 20 Honda models on stand M19. Here, on Friday afternoon, you’ll also see Leon Haslam who will be in Honda colours once again this season, aboard Team HRC’s, 2020 WSBK entry.
Fresh off the back of a fantastic launch, the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade will showcase the very best Honda has to offer in a track-focused, road-going performance bike. Honda’s technological tour de force, the GL1800, will appear in its sleekest Gold Wing form in the Gold Wing lounge. Teaming a six-cylinder engine with a chassis tuned for comfort and a surprising degree of agility, the Gold Wing is a true tourer in every sense of the word.
From faired to naked, the CB1100 RS 5Four will bring style in spades. Based on the air-cooled CB1100 RS, as the name suggests, the 5Four is the brainchild of renowned bike builder Guy Willison, who has reimagined the model in his own Café Racer-inspired vision. The result, stunningly executed, is a tasteful throwback, one only 54 eventual customers will be able to lay claim to.
Furthermore, a cross-section of models from the Super Sport, Street, Adventure, Scooter and 125cc will provide a flavour of the entire Honda range and prove there’s a Honda motorcycle for every occasion.

Keeping in with the Isle of Man TT theme, the Classic TT will be officially launched at the show with a collection of race winning machines on display alongside a host of stars on display for fans to see. 23 time Isle of Man TT winner John McGuinness will once again be opening his own pub at the event, where he will be manning the bar and sharing tales with visitors throughout the weekend.
Following recent news that a staggering 41% of all British riders are wearing helmets that are over five years old and now well beyond the manufacturer’s service life, MCN has launched a UK Helmet Amnesty. Everyone who brings their old helmet to the Carole Nash London Motorcycle Show will receive a free gift and the opportunity to purchase a new helmet at a bargain price. Other attractions at the show include a collection of rare and exotic machines in the Bonhams Classic Zone, including machines from Morbidelli Collection and the National Motorcycle Museum. Motorcyclists looking for ideas for their next trip should visit the Adventure Zone, where a host of intrepid explorers will be sharing their adventures live on stage.
Tickets for the three-day extravaganza are on sale now at a special early bird price of £18 per person when purchased online in advance – discounts end 12.02.20.
