Maxxis Tyres have been chosen as OEM for a range of TM’s bikes

Maxxis Tyres have been chosen as Original Equipment for a range of TM’s latest enduro and motocross bikes.

Following the news of TM Boano opting to compete in the 2021 EnduroGP season on the new MaxxEnduro tyre, Maxxis are thrilled to announce their OE relationship with motocross, enduro and bicycle manufacturer TM. The EnduroGP-winning Maxxis MaxxEnduro tyre is OE on the TM EN 125/ 144 2-stroke and the TM EN 250/ 300 4-stroke enduro bikes, providing the perfect translation of power of these intelligently-developed bikes into immense control, handling and speed on open ground.

Meanwhile, the European Motocross Championship- winning Maxxis MaxxCross MX-ST+ is fitted as standard to a variety of TM motocross bikes, from the MX85 2- stroke (both wheel sizes) to the MX125/144 2- stroke and the MX250/ 300 2-stroke and MX 450 4-stroke models, bringing championship-winning handling, performance and control to riders opting for the 2022 TM range of MX bikes.

The MaxxEnduro tyre was chosen by the winner of the 2019 EnduroGP season and is ridden by TM Boano Racing in the 2021 EnduroGP, where key rider Wil Ruprecht currently leads the E2 class while simultaneously fighting for the EnduroGP title.

In the motocross world, the MaxxCross MX-ST+ has undergone recent development, enabling riders of every level to ride harder for longer across a wider variety of terrain. Following this development, the MX-ST+ has achieved over thirty top-10 finishes and seven podiums across the FIM Motocross World Championship and the Motocross European Championship in 2021 already.

The comprehensive 2022 range of TM motocross, enduro and e- bikes is available now , and replacement MaxxEnduro, MaxxCross MX- ST+ and Assegai tyres for every TM model are available from local Maxxis dealers.

4th Place Championship Position Proves New Maxxis Tyre

The Maxxis MaxxCross MX-ST+ is the latest motocross tyre from Maxxis, and has proven its ability to withstand a wider variety of terrain than its predecessor, the MX-ST, by achieving a series of impressive results this weekend [12 – 13 June] at the Orlyonok motocross track for the MXGP of Russia.

The brand-new MaxxCross MX-ST+, the next generation of its predecessor, the MaxxCross MX-ST, has proven itself at the MXGP of Russia.

Fresh from a satisfying seasonal debut in the Internazionali d’Italia, Alessandro Lupino of Marchetti KTM raced two fantastic heats at the hard-pack and varied Orlyonok track of the MXGP of Russia, bringing his MaxxCross MX-ST+ clad KTM home in 4th position in the World Championship standings, preceded only by factory teams.

In addition, Jeremy Van Horebeek on his brand-new factory Beta motocross bike, achieved a top-10 World Championship standing by the end of the weekend, closing the Russian GP in 9th place. Meanwhile, in the MX2 championship, Simon Laengenfelde of the DIGA Procross GASGAS Factory MX2 Racing team secured another top-10 finish in the MX2 World Championship, resulting in a weekend of three top-10 results for Maxxis riders in the opening round of MXGP.

Following continuous tweaks and close monitoring across a variety of tracks, Maxxis Technical Centre Europe has developed a dual-compound version of the Maxxis MaxxCross MX-ST which offers improved turning, jumping, acceleration, traction, braking straight-line stability performance and, most notably, improved mileage compared to both the original MaxxCross MX-ST and the leading competitor in the motocross market.

The MaxxCross MX-ST+ remains an extremely lightweight tyre for maximum speed with immediate traction off-the-gate. The front tyre continues to be incredibly precise for a nimble handling and riding experience, while the powerful, dual-compound rear tyre provides incredible traction across a wide range of track types.

Brand-new to the UK, the MXGP news of the weekend is a fantastic demonstration of the new motocross tyre’s abilities on gruelling, varied hard pack tracks, making it suitable for professional and grassroots motocross riders alike, who want a race-specification tyre to offer consistent performance throughout race day or training day.

Available now in 100/90-19, 110/90-19 and 80/100-21, the MaxxCross MX-ST+ is available to order from motocross shops nationwide, or from bickers-online.co.uk.

Off-road motorcycle manufacturer, GASGAS, has chosen Maxxis as the Original Equipment tyre for a range of its 2021 bikes.

We are pleased to announce our work with GASGAS. The quality of our tyres has been proven in several championships now, and we are pleased GASGAS recognise this and choose our tyres based on their ability to maximise the performance of their bikes.”

– Augustine Ting, Managing Director – Europe, Maxxis

The Championship-Winning Sand Tyre From Maxxis, Now Available

The new, championship-winning sand motocross tyre from Maxxis, the MaxxCross MX-SM, is now available to buy in the UK.

The MaxxCross MX-SM is a sand and mud tyre designed to offer the performance expected by professionals, available to the everyday rider.

Introduced to the FIM International Motocross Championship (MXGP) in 2019, the MX-SM performed admirably on the sand tracks which make up around 30% of the race calendar. Used in combination with the MaxxCross MX-ST on mid-soft tracks, this winning combination came away with three Championship titles.

“When we get to a sand track, I really notice how the MX-SM has been designed for sandy terrain, and I can trust both tyres to deliver the results they were designed for.” – Alberto Forato, Maddii Racing, MX2 Championship 2020 (2019 3rd Place European 250cc Motocross Championship).

Mattia Guadagnini used the same combination throughout the 2019 season to achieve Junior World Motocross 125cc Champion and European 125cc Motocross Champion, proving the high-performance capabilities of this tyre.

Designed to excel in sand and mud conditions, the new sand tyre provides the ultimate traction in sand or mud, propelling the rider forward throughout the duration of a sand track or beach race.

The shoulder blocks are quite a thing to behold, standing extremely proud of the base of the tyre. These blocks provide insane confidence in sandy corners where riders would otherwise have to stay off the throttle until they exited the corner. Thanks to this extreme cornering traction, riders who choose the MaxxCross MX-SM find speed in corners while their competitors struggle.

The compound is made of an aquaphobic, hardened rubber for self-cleaning properties and high durability for everyday riders.

Used on sand tracks in the 2019 and 2020 MXGP season, the MaxxCross MX-SM is proven to perform to the highest standard, and will continue to provide extraordinary performance to professional racers and hobby riders alike.

Interested in the MaxxCross MX-SM? Ask your local tyre shop to order some in for you.

Maxxis to end MXGB partnership

Maxxis has confirmed that it will end its 14-year partnership with the ACU as title-sponsor of the British Motocross Championship from the 2020 season.

Maxxis to end MXGB partnership
Further to a global restructuring of the brand’s marketing and sponsorship activity, Maxxis has confirmed that it will end its 14-year partnership with the ACU as title-sponsor of the British Motocross Championship from the 2020 season.

The long-standing relationship between Maxxis and the ACU has seen the British Motocross Championship become synonymous with the tyre brand and has greatly boosted Maxxis’ brand awareness, as well as serving as a proving ground as the Maxxis range evolved over the years. Maxxis has enjoyed significant media coverage as a result of the partnership, through online coverage and print media, as well as global TV exposure thanks to the investment that Maxxis brought to the Championship.

Due to changing needs following substantial growth over the years, the Maxxis brand marketing activity will now take a more globally-focused approach to its sponsorship strategies and a shift of domestic focus to working with UK teams to rack up successes on the tyres.

Derek McMartin, Maxxis International UK’s Managing Director, said, “Maxxis and MXGB have become so synonymous in their relationship that the championship is often simply referred to colloquially as ‘the Maxxis’, which shows just how important the partnership has been for our brand.”

“We’ve enjoyed an excellent 14-year period working with the ACU as part of the country’s premier off-road series, but all good things must come to an end. As such, we are now taking a more international approach towards our marketing and brand promotion. This began this year with sponsorship of the MXGP series as well as a number of other global events, and the support and sponsorship of internationally recognised riders, including seven-time Supercross Champion Jeremy McGrath who also helped us develop the new MX-ST tyre, while Mattia Guadagnini already secured this year’s Junior 125 World Championship using the MX-ST on his Maddii Racing Husqvarna.

“We would like to sincerely thank everyone at the ACU and especially all the clubs and their support staff around the UK for their help and support over the last decade and a half.”

Win all-expenses-paid trip to Italian Grand Prix with Maxxis

Maxxis is celebrating the launch of its all-new Maxxcross MX-ST, by offering customers who purchase a pair of its revolutionary new motocross tyres the chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to the Italian motocross Grand Prix at Imola on August 18.

To enter the prize draw customers simply need to purchase one pair of tyres. They will then be invited to complete an entry form in-store, or alternatively enter online at www.mx-st.com.

Developed by Maxxis in partnership with seven-time AMA Supercross champion Jeremy McGrath, the new MX-ST uses a unique tread block design for improved grip and cornering performance, while also extending tyre life. The MX-ST’s lightweight, pliable carcass design also delivers greater stability, comfort, and improves feel, impact absorption, and confidence over jumps. The tyre has already proven its pedigree in the EMX250 championship, with Alberto Forato winning both motos and taking the overall victory onboard his Maxxis-shod Husqvarna at both Matterley Basin and Trentino.
Currently available for 21” and 19” rims, more sizes will be available in the summer, making the MX-ST available for youth and junior championships also.

Maxxis International UK’s Managing Director, Derek McMartin, said,“Since the tyre has been available to teams in the MXGP and EMX championships we’ve had nothing but positive feedback from riders and mechanics. The new MX-ST was designed and developed with one goal in mind, which was to provide a higher level of performance in all areas, than currently available from our rivals. This is a tyre for both the professional racer and clubman rider, and we’re delighted to celebrate it’s availability and give customers the chance to visit the Italian Grand Prix as our special guests, with paddock and hospitality access.”

For 2019 Maxxis is the title sponsor and an official tyre supplier of both MXGP and the British Motocross Championship, and is currently offering a win bonus in the domestic series that can see riders on the MX-ST win £150 per round.
