Complete The Great Escape at The Triumph Adventure Experience
Sat astride a 2018 model Tiger 800, visitors will be given expert tuition from a dedicated team of fully-qualified instructors as they learn to ride – and jump – like the Cooler King himself.
From 1 April, riders need not fear for their safety, with a multi-coloured softplay-style ball pit landing area on hand to guarantee a comfortable landing. There will also be a bouncy castle and viewing gallery with picnic tables to allow friends and family to relax as their loved ones hurdle the imposing structure.
Riders can choose clothing from the Triumph Steve McQueen collection to get into character while suitably rousing music will accompany their journey down the take off strip.
The new feature pays homage to the Triumph TR6 Trophy ridden by Steve McQueen in The Great Escape. Expertly restored to its fence-jumping best, the bike from the movie is currently on display at the Triumph Factory Visitor Experience alongside a number of iconic bikes from the history of the brand.
Lee Perfaith, Senior Instructor, Triumph Adventure Experience, said: “Triumph’s range of adventure bikes are synonymous around the world with off-road performance and there’s no more well-known wheels up leap than The Great Escape. The way I look at it, if you can ride a motorcycle, then there’s no reason you can’t jump on one. I can’t wait to see how everyone gets on.”
Attendees to the Adventure Experience will also receive expert advice for tackling traditional off-road riding. The purpose-built headquarters offers world-class facilities with multi-terrain riding environments that include rocks, hills, gravel and woodland.
Alongside the Tiger 800 XC, there is a fleet of Tiger 1200 XC and Bonneville Street Scrambler models for people to try too. Whether an advanced off-road rider or an absolute beginner, there is a package to suit everyone.
