Evolution of the Peugeot Tweet Scooter
Peugeot have updated their big wheel scooter for 2014, with the introduction of the Tweet Evo.
Now available with a choice of modern economical 50cc and 125cc 4-stroke motors, the Tweet Evo has a short wheelbase (1330mm), light weight (100kg/50cc and 109kg/125cc) and large 16” wheels, so it handles exceptionally well on both town and country roads.
Peugeot gave the Tweet a face-lift for 2014, restyling the headlight, flush-fit indicators and badge, as well as the combined alloy luggage rack/pillion grab handle assembly. The comfortable dual seat gets sport stitching and is colour contrasted to the scooter; so the Antarctica White has a black seat, light brown for the Blueberry bodywork and maroon for the Onyx Grey models.
In Antarctica White colours the Tweet 50 & 125 also get polished all-black alloy wheels.
Sales of scooters continue to rise this year, up 4.3% during January to May, compared to the same period last year, maintaining a trend that started in 2010, as motorists look to save money in the face of the rising costs of fuel, insurance and parking.
Available from all authorised Peugeot Scooter dealers, the Tweet 125 Evo retails at £2099, including VAT and two year unlimited mileage warranty. The Tweet 50 Evo sells for £1799. For details on the Tweet Evo and to view the full Peugeot range visit www.peugeotscooters.co.uk or call O12O2 823344.
