Full CE-approval for Knox Orsa gloves
To achieve certification to EN13594:201, the Orsa Leather Motorbike Gloves had to pass 15 separate tests assessing – amongst other criteria – tear and seam strength, plus cut, abrasion and impact resistance. Knox redesigned the venting panels to improve the integrity of the leather and ensure a high score in the tear resistance test.
Introduced to the award-winning Hand Armour range last year – and used by World Sidecar Championship runners-up and TT racers Ben and Tom Birchall – the Orsa Leather is made from soft but durable goatskin for feel, flexibility and strength.
It features the patented Knox Scaphoid Protection System (SPS), which is made up of two sliders that eliminate the grab effect that occurs when a leather palm makes contact with the road, reducing the risk of hyper extension breaking the scaphoid bone in the wrist.
Impact-absorbing honeycomb Gel, backed with memory foam and encapsulated in a strong outer shell, shields the knuckle area. Abrasion resistant sliders are incorporated on the back of each finger, for added protection.
The Orsa Leather has Knox’s low-profile BOA wrist closure system, for consistent tightening and a perfect fit. It also ensures the glove will not come undone during an accident, and is designed to sit comfortably under a jacket cuff.
Available in Black or White in sizes S – XXL, the new CE-approved Orsa Leather gloves retail for £79.99 including VAT. Call O19OO 825825 or visit www.planet-knox.com/orsaleather
