Ride KTM, GO TO MotoGP
The Orange Days typically celebrate the beginning of the street riding season and place a greater emphasis on demo rides, with its UK, Ireland and Channel Islands dealers lining up more test bikes than ever to give riders further opportunity to experience the unique qualities of a KTM on the road.
Matt Walker, KTM UK General Manager, said: “Demo rides are always available at KTM dealers, but the Orange Days are a dedicated focus on getting riders to experience the unique feeling of a KTM and that can only be done by being behind the bars and riding one.”
The KTM Street range is as diverse as ever in 2016 with machines ranging from 125 to 1,301cc. Recently released, the 1290 SUPER DUKE GT is fast setting the new standard in sports touring motorcycles with an array of leading technical rider aids married to a chassis with genuine READY TO RACE lightweight sporty performance and the latest incarnation of the torque-laden 1290 LC8 V-twin engine.
In 2016 ‘The Beast’ 1290 SUPER DUKE R is joined with a ‘Special Edition’ variant. The super naked still pacts the same brutal engine performance and precise handling, but is instead finished with a distinctive and exclusive colour scheme and fitted with a host of performance and aesthetically-enhancing KTM PowerParts.
The four-strong Adventure range is for riders without limits or who simply want every journey to be an adventure. Starting with the 1050 ADVENTURE, this joined by the 1190 ADVENTURE, 1190 ADVENTURE R and finally the 1290 SUPER ADVENTURE, there’s a massive variety in performance and rider equipment, including some of the most advanced electronic rider aids available. These are all bikes that don’t compromise on rider satisfaction no matter the road or load.
Revised for this year, the 690 DUKE and 690 DUKE R are the most powerful single cylinders on the market. The engine has received a huge update to deliver more punch, improved smoothness and increased efficiency. The narrow and feather light steel trellis chassis – fitted with high-end WP suspension and Brembo braking components – not only make these machines easy to manoeuvre though favourite corners or congested commutes, it also boosts rider confidence.
For new riders or those who want a small capacity and lightweight machine that is both eye-catching and delivers big riding rewards, they should look no further than the Moto3-inspired supersport RC 125 and RC 390 and the naked 125 DUKE and 390 DUKE.
After the Orange Days finish, five demo riders will be randomly picked to see who has one a pair of MotoGP tickets.
