Special Edition Triumph Street Triple Rx Black announced
The UK’s leading large-capacity motorcycle manufacturer, has launched a limited ‘black’ edition of its nimble, naked middleweight, the Street Triple Rx. Unveiled at Motorcycle Live last month (NEC Birmingham, 28 November – 6th December), the Street Triple Rx Black will be available through Triumph dealerships from early January 2016.
Combining aggressive style and devilish good looks to create an extreme, eye-catching machine, the limited-run model borrows inspiration from its TT and Daytona 200-winning supersports sibling, the Daytona 675R. Unique visual features include a new razor-sharp rear profile, a new black paint scheme and revised graphics.
At the heart of the Street Triple Rx Black is Triumph’s signature triple engine. The 675cc, 12-valve unit delivers a punchy 106PS and 68Nm of torque, for effortless acceleration. Harnessing a slick, close-ratio six-speed gearbox, quickshifter and flawless throttle control, the Street’s iconic power plant delivers an exhilarating ride. Heralded by a soulful, characteristic growling exhaust note, the Rx boasts one of the most distinctive sounds in motorcycling.
With an ability to satisfy riders of all levels – from novice to the most experienced thrill-seeker – the expertly crafted riding position spreads rider effort perfectly between its tapered flat bars, sculpted seat and slightly rear-set alloy foot pegs. The refined chassis features an eight-piece, aluminium twin spar frame and two-piece die cast rear subframe, mated to 41mm KYB inverted front forks fully adjustable for preload, rebound and compression damping. This gives complete freedom to set-up the front end for a wide variety of riding styles and conditions.
The Street Triple Rx Black is available in dealerships from early January 2016. As with all Triumph motorbikes, it comes with an unlimited mileage, two-year factory warranty. Service intervals are every 6000 miles, or one year, whichever is soonest. The Street Triple Rx Black is available for £8,599 OTR.
