Suzuki launches new 2018 clothing and merchandise range
Suzuki has changed the way manufacturers approach their clothing collections in recent years, with the launch of its range in 2012 signalling a departure from conventional motorcycle designs, instead seeing items take design cues from mainstream fashion trends. And 2018 is no different, with the latest range featuring a host of brand new garments and designs – including t-shirts and polo shirts, hoodies, leather jackets, and sweatpants.
New Heritage items include a fresh ‘Made in Japan’ Big Mountain t-shirt (£24) and GS1000 t-shirt (£24), which ties in with the 40th anniversary of the iconic machine and the inaugural Suzuka 8-Hour race. Simple, cleanly-styled polos (£33-35), t-shirts (£19-24), and hoodies (£47) make up the new Basic collection, while shirts (£42-45), ties (£33), and jackets (£60) fill the Casual range.
Highlights in the Street range include a red Suzuki Motor Co. t-shirt (£24), ladies Hamamatsu hooded top and sweatpants (£100), and brown leather jacket (£290), as kids of all ages can get into the Suzuki brand, with t-shirts (£14) and hoodies (£38) as well as a MotoGP balance bike (£115) and cuddly teddy (£13).
Fans looking to support Suzuki race teams – from British Superbikes to MotoGP – can also do so with a new range of team wear for 2018, with jackets, t-shirts, and hoodies available, as worn by the teams and riders.
Suzuki GB e-commerce and merchandise manager, Emma Gibbon, said, “We took a dramatic turn away from convention with the launch of 2012 clothing range, and that has steadily evolved over the years and now become the industry standard. But for 2018 we’re delighted to launch a brand new range, with new styles and lines for everyone. Our Heritage collection has always been one of our most popular, so we have grown that range for this year, while the more casual lines have been bolstered with new hoodies and ladies sweatpants. There’s also stuff for kids and smarter, more understated lines with jackets and shirts. One of the other main areas of focus has also been on the merchandise range, as we sought to expand that further. There’s now so much to choose from, and customers get everything, from the right backpack for the overseas trip or the kit bag to pack everything for a European track day. It also means gift-buying for the Suzuki fan in your household has never been easier, with keyrings, lanyards, and toasters making up the range.”
Suzuki’s clothing and merchandise can be purchased through all authorised dealerships, or online at bikes.suzuki.co.uk/shop or via the official Suzuki Bikes UK eBay store.
