Acerbis Gets Its First Guinness World Record® To Celebrate 50th Anniversary

Official: 4,183.8 km from Albino to the North Cape is the greatest distance driven on a single tank of fuel by a motorcycle (prototype)

Acerbis conquers its first GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS®! The AC50 project led to the construction of the largest motorbike fuel tank entirely designed and built in-house, with a capacity of 108 litres, which made it possible to cover the distance from Albino (Italy) to Cape North (Norway) -4,183.8 km on a single full tank-, thus obtaining the award for the greatest distance driven on a single tank of fuel by a motorcycle (prototype).

The journey was possible thanks to the entire technical team of ACERBIS ITALIA SPA. The schedule took the motorbike through an specific route which enhanced fuel saving. From southern Europe to Northen Europe, the journey started in Albino, the home of Acerbis, and then took off to the Brenner Pass, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway and finally reaching the North Cape, at an average speed of around 70 kph. Three drivers took turns driving the vehicle: Alicia Sornosa, Andrea Rastrelli and Maurizio Vettor.

The journey continues and will only end with the last drop of fuel, but it will not extinguish our desire for adventure. We are constantly looking to the future, always ready to take on new challenges.

Acerbis to continue as a WorldSBK Official Sponsor for four more years

The Italian company extends its partnership with the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship until 2024

Acerbis and Dorna WSBK Organization (DWO) have signed a new agreement to carry on their collaboration up to and including the 2024 season. Since 2013, Acerbis has been an Official Sponsor of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship. The Italian brand has become an important partner of the Championship and since 2014, Acerbis provides DWO staff’s uniforms as well as holding the license to produce technical accessories with the SBK® brand for the Championship enthusiasts since 2016.

Since 1973, Acerbis has had a major presence within the motorsport industry. With strong values including passion and innovation, the Italian company develops products specifically aimed at the world of road racing. Its commitment to athletes and its pursuit of innovation perfectly suits the spirit of the fastest production-based motorcycle Championship in the world.

Acerbis Launches Discovery Jacket Range Combining Practicality And Style

Italian motorcycle sports specialists Acerbis launches its ‘Discovery’ range; a new line of lightweight, versatile riding jackets that combine style and durability at an affordable price.

This new for 2019 entry-level range offers features often found in higher priced equipment with the three jackets (Safary, Forest and Ghibly) all retailing at under £200 (including VAT). A specific ‘ladies cut’ is also available in each line with a tailored focus for the female rider.

As one of the leaders in motocross protection, Acerbis has used its unrivalled knowledge to develop its road products with safety being paramount. The Discovery jackets utilise 600D polyester, which is highly resistant to tearing and abrasion, CE Level 2 Acerbis armour in the shoulder and elbow areas plus a back protection ready area for the Acerbis CLAY system, which is available separately.

To keep the best of the British weather at bay, the Discovery range features a waterproof and breathable coating applied inside the thermal lining and all seams are fully taped to ensure they allow no moisture in. On warmer days, built in shoulder and back meshed ventilation can be unzipped.

Each jacket contains an inner thermal liner (available separately on Ghibly model), comfortable microfleece collar and detachable inner padding for year-round riding.

The top of the range Safary features five, fully-taped outside waterproof pockets (two with Forest model) as well as additional pockets both inside and within the detachable liner. The distinctive Acerbis logo and detailing is etched onto each jacket on the front, sleeve and back.
The jackets are available in Black, Black/Grey and Fluro Yellow in sizes Small to 3XL priced at £199.99 for the Safary, Forest (£184.99) and Ghibly (£164.99).
