Ducati Diavel for Bentley: exclusivity, performance and craftsmanship in a true two-wheeled work of art

Ducati and Bentley are proud to jointly announce a new, limited-edition motorcycle that celebrates the best of both iconic brands: the Ducati Diavel for Bentley. Born from the collaboration between the two manufacturers, the project links Ducati and Bentley with a vision of performance, craftsmanship and exclusivity. The result is a striking synthesis of technology, style and performance capable of making enthusiasts dream. The bike was revealed to the public with a ‘fuorisalone’ event in the context of the Art Basel week in Miami Beach, the overseas edition of the most prestigious European contemporary art fair.

On the sophisticated technical base of the high-performance and comfortable Diavel V4, Ducati has integrated many style characterizing elements of the Bentley Batur – a limited-series model handcrafted by Bentley – to create a motorcycle unique in terms of elegance and design. The Diavel for Bentley will be created in a numbered series limited to 500+50 examples, the latter reserved for Bentley customers.
The Centro Stile Ducati, in collaboration with Bentley designers, created a new design for this special motorbike, drawing inspiration from the Batur from which it takes the mainly horizontal lines of the side view. The Scarab Green colour, sophisticated and refined, rich in metallic shades, comes from the Bentley Mulliner palette and is used throughout the bodywork.

The decisive and aggressive lines of the Diavel V4 have also been profoundly revised through the technical components:  many of the characteristic features of the Batur are taken up in different parts of the bike. The forged rims, designed and created for this motorbike, recall the shapes of those of the car and are painted in Dark Titanium Satin, leaving some machined surfaces visible.

The side air intakes reflect the two-tone front grille, one of the most recognizable elements of the Batur. The triangular rear extractors refer to the corresponding elements of the car. The front mudguard, the fairing and the upper view of the tank recall the ribs on the front bonnet, while the single-seater tail, which can be replaced with a passenger seat, takes many styling cues from the double-layer extractor on the back of the car.

Many of the bodywork components are made of high-quality carbon fibre (fenders, headlamp cover, engine, exhaust and radiator covers, radiator shrouds, side panels, tail piece).

The rider’s seat, in black Alcantara, is inspired by the interior of the car, is achieved with precision workmanship that reveals the underlying red fabric with the same texture of that of the Batur seats and with the Bentley logo embroidered on the rear pad. The dual outlet exhaust, with its cover, has been redesigned to harmonize with the refined lines of the bike.

Batur is Bentley’s most powerful production car ever, with a 740 PS twin-turbo W12 engine, coach-built in just 18 examples. More than that, the Batur combines benchmark Bentley craftsmanship with sculptured, muscular bodywork that defines a new design DNA for Bentley with previews a new design direction for the brand. The visual message communicates great power and elegance, without ostentation or excess. The 18 examples of the Batur are individually hand-crafted by Mulliner, the oldest coachbuilder in the world and Bentley’s in-house bespoke division. In addition to the 500 Diavel for Bentley examples, Ducati also offers a series of just 50 examples, called Diavel for Bentley Mulliner. The 50 Diavel for Bentley Mulliners will be available exclusively to Bentley customers, who through direct collaboration with the designers of the Centro Stile Ducati, will be able to configure their Diavel for Bentley Mulliner with different colours for the saddle, front brake calipers, carbon fibre parts and rims. They will also be able to choose the same colour as their car for the bodywork parts or one of those from the exclusive palette selected by the designers of the Crewe company.

The Diavel for Bentley, like all collectible Ducatis, is delivered with a certificate of authenticity, a passenger seat and a motorcycle cover. The name of the model and the production number of the unit are engraved on a plate inserted in the carbon fibre cover of the vertical head , on the right side of the motorcycle. Both the dashboard, equipped as standard with turn-by-turn navigator, and the LED matrix of the rear light cluster offer a special animation at the key-on which makes the Diavel for Bentley even more unmistakable. Finally, each Diavel for Bentley will be delivered in an exclusive personalized wooden case. The collaboration between the two manufacturers has also led to the creation of a Capsule Collection, reserved for Diavel for Bentley owners, which allows customers to complete their look with a jet helmet and a technical jacket (available in both men’s and women’s versions) in a limited edition, characterized by a colour scheme that reflects that of the motorbike.

The Diavel for Bentley adopts the 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine, a central element of its design and at the same time a highly refined technical choice. Powerful (168 hp), rich in torque but also extremely light and compact, it is at the same time fluid, regular and usable right from the lowest revs. The Twin Pulse combustion order, together with the dedicated exhaust system, unmistakably characterize the timbre of the exhaust.

Panigale V4 SP2 30° Anniversario 916: Ducati celebrates the supersport icon

Ducati celebrates the 30th anniversary of the 916 with a model in a limited, numbered series of 500 units.

The Panigale V4 SP2 30° Anniversario 916 is Ducati’s homage to a bike that represented a milestone in the company’s history. A true icon of design and the world of racing, exhibited at the MoMA in New York, which even today, 30 years later, is still considered the emblem of beauty applied to two wheels.

The unmistakable features and supersport character of the Ducati 916, the bike from which the design DNA of all Ducati sports bikes originates, can be found on the Panigale Anniversario. The genes of the 916 can be found in the mass concentrated on the front, in the sinuous view from the top and in elements such as the headlight, the “nose”, the air intakes, the V of the fairing, the sculptural, diamond-shaped fuel tank, the short and agile tail and the single-sided swingarm.

On the Panigale Anniversary, the tribute to the 916 is celebrated with a livery, created by Centro Stile Ducati, that pays homage to one of the most beautiful racing graphics in Ducati’s sporting history, that of the bike that won the Superbike World Championship with Carl Fogarty in 1999.The iconic tricolour on the fairing, the white number plates and the number 1 have been taken up and revisited in a modern key, while the black portion of the upper half cowl recalls the air ducts of the 916. The lower tank, also black, is a strong reminder of the racing world. Finally, the tank cover features the laurel logo, in the same gold colour as on the 916. The logo on the fairing, which on the first 916 was in silver with gold outline, is here revisited and updated, almost with a 3D effect.

The Panigale V4 SP2 30th  Anniversary 916 is produced in a numbered and limited series of 500 units. Like the race bike from which it takes its livery inspiration, it is offered in the single-seater configuration only and is enriched by the billet aluminium steering plate with laser engraving of the model name and progressive number. Finally, the Panigale Trentesimo Anniversario 916 comes with a certificate of authenticity and a dedicated bike cover.
The technical equipment combines the SP2 specifications with a series of fine details that make this bike even more unique. In fact, the Panigale V4 SP2 30° Anniversario 916 has a racing fuel tank cap machined from billet aluminium*, air ducts for cooling the front brakes, exhaust heat shield, wings with double profile design and front mudguard in carbon fibre.

Also made of carbon fibre are the five-spoke wheels, which reduce the weight of the wheels by 1.4 kg compared to the forged Marchesini of the V4 S and 3.4 compared to those of the Panigale V4. Inertial moment is reduced by around 26% at the front and 46% at the rear, making the bike more agile, less tiring and more precise under acceleration.

The braking system is the best in its class: thanks to Brembo Stylema R calipers and cooling ducts, it offers high braking efficiency and consistent lever travel even during long track sessions. The Brembo MCS master cylinder with remote adjuster allows simple, intuitive adjustment of feel and distance from the handlebar without having to stop.

The STM EVO dry clutch offers greater fluidity in all phases of riding with the throttle closed, such as corner entry, and allows the level of mechanical engine braking to be customised by changing the secondary spring. In track use, with the clutch cover open, enthusiasts can enjoy the classic sound that characterises Ducati racing bikes.

The adjustable footpegs in billet aluminium allow the riding position to be adapted to any physique, and enable the use of the standard Ducati Quick Shift Up & Down, which can be configured either as a traditional gearbox or with a racing pattern. Finally, the Ducati Data Analyser+ data acquisition system allows the rider’s performance to be monitored.

The bike is delivered with a track-ready kit, which includes billet aluminium caps for removing the rear-view mirrors*, number plate holder removal kit*, open carbon clutch cover* and Ducati Data Analyser+ data acquisition system.

The Panigale V4 30th Anniversary 916 was unveiled on the opening day of EICMA 2023, with an international event at the Ducati stand where, until Sunday 12, it will be possible to see the entire 2024 range from the manufacturer from Borgo Panigale live.

During the event, Ducati officially announced the dates of World Ducati Week 2024The appointment, for all fans, is set for the weekend of 26 – 28 July, as always at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli”.

Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono: the new benchmark for road Supermotards

In the fifth episode of the Ducati World Première web series 2024, Ducati revealed to the public the new Hypermotard 698 Mono, the first Ducati single-cylinder Supermotard.

The Hypermotard 698 Mono was created with the sole objective of thrilling through the curves, between the curbs of the tracks but also in the city, transforming every move into the most fun moment of the day. An objective achieved by applying technical solutions derived from the world of the Panigale for the engine, electronics and chassis to a new segment for Ducati, thus creating a motorbike capable of providing unforgettable emotions once on the saddle.

The Hypermotard 698 Mono is in fact designed and built to achieve maximum performance on asphalt and is equipped with the new Superquadro Mono, the most sophisticated and high-performance single-cylinder road engine ever made. A record-breaking engine thanks to the maximum power of 77.5 hp and the 10,250 rpm maximum rotation which constitute new benchmarks for the category. This engine derives from the twin-cylinder of the 1299 Panigale, from which it inherits the 116 mm bore piston, combustion chamber, titanium intake and steel exhaust valves and Desmodromic distribution, the same solution that Ducati uses in MotoGP.

Its electronic package, unrivalled in the category, allows the less experienced to learn to ride like a Supermotard rider, supported by ABS Cornering which for this bike boasts settings specifically developed to manage “sideways riding” on the track.

The same package allows more experienced riders to fully exploit the high power of the Superquadro Mono engine and the stable and rigorous chassis. The Hypermotard 698 Mono combines the precision of the front end of Ducati sports bikes with the typical nimbleness of Supermotards, for easy, intuitive and above all fun riding like a fun bike should have. This balance was achieved thanks to chassis dimensions that allow for a more neutral and communicative front end compared to motorcycles derived from the offroad world, which are typically more understeering.

Added to all this is a design that enhances the presence of the new Superquadro Mono engine and which combines the distinctive traits of racing Supermotards such as simplicity, aggressiveness and visual lightness with the cleanliness and sophistication of the surfaces to which Ducatisti are now accustomed.Unmistakable Ducati style
The new Hypermotard 698 Mono combines a typically Supermotard racing aesthetic, essential, compact and aggressive, with the clean lines and attention to surfaces typical of Ducati design.

The result is a slim and sleek motorcycle. The superstructures reduced to a minimum immediately communicate Ducati sportiness and enhance the vertical development of the new Superquadro Mono. The high and flat seat, the high front mudguard, the sharp tail and the rear number plates are all elements that confirm its attitude.

In line with Ducati style, the five-spoke alloy wheels with a “Y” design combine a sporty look with the advantage of lightness. Another unique element are the double silencers mounted at the top, on the sides of the tail, a distinctive element of the Hypermotard family as well as the racing Supermotards. The super compact LED headlight integrates the DRL function with a double “C” light profile and makes the Hypermotard 698 Mono a motorcycle that does not go unnoticed. The same light signature is found in the rear position light.

The fun-bike personality of the Hypermotard 698 Mono emerges clearly in the RVE version, characterised by the dedicated ‘Graffiti’ livery. This colouring was created with the use of water decals with the aim of obtaining refined and complex graphics inspired by works of street art.

Superquadro Mono engine
The Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono debuts the new Superquadro Mono, the latest addition to the Borgo Panigale engines which presents itself as a new performance benchmark among single-cylinder road bikes.

Powerful, light and compact, it comes from the most powerful and refined twin-cylinder ever created by Ducati: the 1,285 cc Superquadro of the 1299 Panigale. It retains the 116 mm bore of that engine, a record value for a road single-cylinder, combined with a stroke of 62.4 mm for a displacement of 659 cc, and highly sophisticated solutions.

The box-in-box piston, the titanium intake valves, the aluminium cylinder liner, the piston pin equipped with DLC coating and naturally Desmodromic distribution make the Superquadro Mono capable of revving at speeds normally reserved only for racing single cylinders (the limiter is set at 10,250 rpm) and delivers a maximum power of 77.5 hp at 9,750 rpm.

The torque, whose maximum value is 6.4 kgm at 8,000 rpm, is distributed in a particularly favourable manner, resulting in linear delivery that can be exploited in sports riding. Furthermore, thanks to the Termignoni racing exhaust, in track configuration the power increases by 7 horsepower reaching the incredible value of 84.5 hp, another record for a single-cylinder.Electronics
The standard electronic equipment of the Hypermotard 698 Mono is the most complete in its category and includes many of the controls present on the Panigale V4, developed specifically for this bike. There are ABS Cornering, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control, Ducati Power Launch and Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up/Down, which can be purchased as an accessory for the standard version and is supplied as standard on the RVE version.

The goal is always the same: to increase riding fun. And with the Hypermotard 698 Mono, less experienced riders will be able to approach Motard-style riding with the certainty of being able to count on sophisticated electronics.

The Hypermotard 698 Mono has four riding modes (Sport, Road, Urban and Wet) to which the Engine Mode (available on 3 levels), DTC, EBC and ABS levels are assigned by default, which can be modified by the rider. Everything is managed by the 3.8″ LCD instrumentation with white characters on a black background to ensure the readability of the information. As on the Panigale V4, the Hypermotard 698 Mono also features an indication of gear change and when the limiter is reached.

The Hypermotard 698 Mono is the first Ducati to offer four levels of ABS. Two of these integrate the Slide-by-Brake functionality, which through the use of the rear brake allows safe and repeatable cornering when powersliding in sporty riding on the track.

With the ABS set to level 3, when using the rear brake during aggressive braking on the track, the Slide-by-Brake activates, allowing the bike a contained yaw angle that is easier to manage. Just brake, start entering the corner and the electronics will take care of the rest. This level was developed for less experienced riders on the track who want to start approaching sideways riding when entering corners. With this level of Slide-by-Brake, rear powerslides become more easily controllable, leaving room for fun.

When ABS is set to level 2, Slide-by-Brake allows for a wider sideways angle and more pronounced powerslides into the corner. This level was developed for sporting use on the track for those who already have experience with powerslides but want to be able to count on the safety offered by the ABS system.

For more experienced riders who want to independently manage powerslides when entering corners on the track, level 1 is available in which the ABS, not Cornering, is active only on the front.

Finally, the ABS of the Hypermotard 698 Mono also has level 4, developed for low-grip situations to guarantee maximum stability and safety. It is associated by default with Wet Riding Mode.

The bike offers 4 levels of Wheelie Control. Levels 4, 3 and 2 ensure maximum acceleration out of corners while minimising lift from the front wheel. Level 1, however, was developed for use on the track and allows controlled and safe lifting of the front, maximising both performance and fun.

Furthermore, exclusively for use on the track, the Ducati Performance software for Ducati Wheelie Control is available as an accessory. This functionality can be activated only in association with the Termignoni Ducati Performance exhaust, not street-legal, and provides an additional assistance strategy called Wheelie Assist. In this case the electronics assist the rider in executing and maintaining a prolonged wheelie, regulating the angle using the engine torque delivered.

Chassis and ergonomics
The Hypermotard 698 Mono is compact and lightweight, with a curb weight of 151 kg without fuel. A result obtained thanks to solutions such as the trellis frame with differentiated sections and thicknesses weighing only 7.2 kg, capable of combining strength with rigidity and lightness, to the cast rims (-0.5 kg compared to similar spoked wheels), to the brake discs with aluminium flange (-17% compared to a steel unit) and to the lightweight Marzocchi fork, fully adjustable and equipped with external adjusters, with upside-down front forks and 45 mm aluminium sliders, weighing only 8.1 kg.
The double-sided swingarm, light and essential, works via a progressive linkage with a fully adjustable rear shock absorber. The rims are fitted with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres, measuring 120/70 ZR 17 at the front and 160/60 ZR 17 at the rear.

The front braking system relies on a single 330 mm disc developed specifically by Brembo for the Hypermotard 698 Mono, with Brembo M4.32 radial caliper. At the rear there is a single 240 mm disc, also with a dedicated design.
The riding position is designed to guarantee maximum control in sports riding, supporting both traditional riding with the leg stretched towards the ground and that with the knee on the ground. The variable section handlebar determines a dominant position, favouring body movements. The advancement is adjustable through eccentric U-bolts.

The design of the footrests is studied to maximise the lean angle. Furthermore, by removing the rubber inserts it is possible to obtain maximum grip with racing boots when used on the track thanks to a specific processing of the edge. The extremely slim upper structure of the bike and the flat saddle covered with an optimised grip fabric facilitate body and leg movements.
Accessories
Enthusiasts who wish to exploit the high performance of the Hypermotard 698 Mono on the circuit will find various proposals in the Ducati Performance catalogue, starting from the Termignoni racing exhaust, racing seat, motard footrests, as well as sliders and protective covers for the engine crankcases.

There are also different carbon fibre components, which help to lighten the Ducati single-cylinder and make it more aggressive: from the front panel to the heat shield for the exhaust manifold, up to a homologated muffler in titanium and carbon fibre. Finally, those who want to embellish the aesthetics will find various parts in aluminium machined from solid, such as brake and clutch levers, the relative reservoirs or the fuel cap, and dynamic direction indicators.

Apparel
The Hypermotard 698 Mono is a fun bike. Easy to ride, fun and with great style. For this reason, Ducati has created a dedicated clothing line.
The Overlay Yo jacket is the main piece of the collection, with a contemporary and original design created in collaboration with Drudi Performance. It combines a transparent outer fabric with a thermoregulating 3D mesh. This super-versatile jacket, produced by Spidi Sport, can be connected to a protective vest for use on a motorbike.

The collection is enriched by the sweatshirt, certified for use on motorbikes thanks to the technical fabric reinforcements and CE protectors on the shoulders and elbows. The perfect match is with the dedicated helmet with an aggressive Supermotard look and a strong personality.
The collection also includes technical boots specific for Motard riding and sports shoes designed for daily motorbike use.

Colours and availability
The new Hypermotard 698 Mono will be available in dealerships in the Ducati network starting from January in the classic Ducati Red with powder-coated frame, or in the RVE version with dedicated graphics, black frame and DQS quickshifter as standard.

For younger riders, in possession of an A2 licence, Ducati offers the version with power limited to 35 kW. In this version the Superquadro Mono delivers 43.5 hp at 6,250 rpm and 5 kgm at 5,750 rpm.Hypermotard 698 Mono

A new, historic chapter opens for Ducati: the red from Borgo Panigale enters motocross

Nine-time MX World Champion Antonio Cairoli will join Ducati as high-performance test rider for the new racing program.

The Bologna based manufacturer has been working for two years on a prototype that will make its debut next season in the Italian Motocross Championship, with the aim of validating the technical solutions made on the bike on the track. This strategy confirms the approach that distinguishes Ducati in the development of its sportiest and most high-performance models, i.e. starting from racing competition and then creating series products capable of exceptional performance for the delight of its enthusiasts.

This is a multi-year project that will see the creation of a complete range of off-road engines and motorcycles. The models will gradually become part of a family of knobby motorcycles branded Ducati, starting with motocross.

The Bologna-based company has signed an agreement with nine-time Motocross World Champion Antonio Cairoli as a high-performance test rider for the new project and, thanks to his talent, speed and experience, he will give important input for the development of the new motorcycle.

Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati Motor Holding, commented: ”I am proud to announce Ducati’s entry into Motocross. A totally new world for Ducati in which we want to bring our talent in designing lightweight motorcycles, with excellent components and high performance and – above all – which can excite more and more motorcyclists. Just as we believe that the track is the best laboratory to develop and test the bikes that will then be available to customers and enthusiasts. This is why we have decided to cooperate with an undisputed champion like Tony Cairoli who, together with the passion and dedication of many of us here in Borgo Panigale, will contribute to making Ducati in off-road as capable in offering very high-performance products to its passionate customers as we have proven on the asphalt. The project is possible thanks to the company’s excellent results in recent years and confirms our desire to extend our presence into new worlds, speak to new motorcyclists and therefore grow the Ducati Community.”

Antonio Cairoli added: “I am extremely happy to become part of the universe of Ducati, which has always been a symbol of Italian spirit throughout the world, and to begin this exciting new adventure, in an all-Italian project. Being able to make my contribution to the development of the Borgo Panigale motocross bike is a dream come true and a source of great pride for me.”

Ducati has also signed a multi-year agreement with Maddii Racing, one of the most experienced teams in the motocross paddock, which will be the reference structure for the MX racing activities and will take part in the 2024 Italian Motocross Championship with Alessandro Lupino, eight-time Italian Champion and 2021 MXoN winner, also contracted to Ducati as racing and test rider.

The focus of the Ducati off-road project is a combination of the search for lightness pushed to the extreme, top-of-the-line components and engines characterized by a very broad power delivery curve. The latter is obtained thanks to the use of the Desmodromic system, used on all the sports bikes of the Bologna based company starting from MotoGP. Ducati is in fact the only company in the world that uses the same valve return system on its highest performing production motorcycles as it does on racing prototypes.

Entering the specialist off-road sector represents a very important and challenging strategic choice for Ducati, made possible thanks to the excellent results achieved in recent years. A decision that confirms the desire to expand the brand’s presence into unexplored terrain today. New young motorcyclists will be able to get close to the Borgo Panigale brand and thus enter the large community of Ducatisti.

Performance is one of the three core values of the brand, together with Style and Sophistication. In Borgo Panigale there are many off-road lovers and we can’t wait to see the Desmo in all its potential at work off the asphalt!

Ducati DesertX Rally: adventure without limits

With the third episode of the 2024 World Première, Ducati unveils the new DesertX Rally.

From the DesertX, the first Ducati equipped with a 21-inch front rim and 18-inch rear, now comes the new DesertX Rally model. It is characterised by the best race-bred components: the DesertX Rally adopts high-quality solutions that are both specialised and effective in off-road use and sophisticated as on all Ducatis.

Developed and tested also on racetracks, the DesertX Rally prototype was the protagonist of the Iron Road Prolog at the Erzbergrodeo 2023 with Antoine Meo (multiple Enduro World Champion and European Supercross Champion) who took it to the top step of the podium in the twin-cylinder category.

Like all Ducatis, the DesertX Rally has a unique and distinctive style. Thanks to the new livery and solutions typical of the off-road world that characterise it’s appearance, the DesertX Rally communicates its character from the very first glance. However, it is thanks to the technical equipment that the Rally becomes a real off-road motorbike.
The high front mudguard guarantees usability even in particularly difficult ground conditions, the Kayaba suspensions with increased travel with closed cartridge fork and shock absorber with larger piston are derived from motocross and allow the rider to overcome any obstacle, while the new central-spoked wheels  with sizes and characteristics specific to off-road racing make the Rally an unstoppable motorbike on any type of terrain. These solutions together with a light and resistant forged carbon sump guard, gear pedals and rear brake lever machined from solid, unequivocally identify the Rally as a motorcycle designed to tackle the most extreme adventures.Chassis
The DesertX Rally’s suspension is designed to tackle even the most difficult obstacles, improving the DesertX’s already strong off-road ability. Both the fork and the shock absorber, in fact, are characterised by the same technologies used on professional cross and enduro bikes.

At the front end, the DesertX Rally is equipped with new billet aluminium plates, rigid and light. The fork is a closed cartridge KYB, a technology used on motocross and enduro racing bikes.
This solution involves pressurising the oil inside the cartridges to avoid cavitation, thus guaranteeing a homogeneous and consistent behaviour of the front suspension and the necessary support during the most extreme uses.

Furthermore, to improve smoothness and resistance to wear, the fork tubes are equipped with Kashima Coating and the sliders with DLC surface treatment. Wheel travel increases by 20 mm, for a total of 250 mm.

The rear is made up of an aluminium swingarm with a different attachment point compared to the standard DesertX, with a fully adjustable shock absorber with a larger piston to improve the bike’s behaviour in the most demanding off-road use. Rear wheel travel increases by 20 mm, for a total of 240 mm. Finally, to improve handling on the most demanding off-road terrain, the DesertX Rally is fitted with an adjustable Öhlins steering damper, fixed directly to the handlebars with supports machined from solid.

The new suspensions have allowed the DesertX Rally to increase the ground clearance, which is now 280 mm (30 mm more than the standard), to enable it to overcome even the most difficult obstacles.
Always with the aim of improving off-road performance, the DesertX Rally is equipped with wheels characterized by specific measurements for off-road, more robust and lighter thanks to hubs machined from solid, carbon steel central spokes and high-strength Takasago Excel rims with inner tube.

Finally, to underline the versatility of the DesertX Rally, as with the DesertX, triple homologation is envisaged for the tyres with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR proposed as original equipment. To enhance its off-road capabilities, it is possible to mount Scorpion Rally, while for those who prefer to ride the bike on asphalt, Scorpion Trail II is available.

Thanks to the use of high-level components, the DesertX Rally has a dry weight of just one kilogram more than the standard model despite the increase in length and size of the suspension.Engine and Electronics
The DesertX Rally is equipped with the 937 cc Ducati Testastretta 11° twin-cylinder with desmodromic distribution. Maximum power is 110 hp at 9,250 rpm and maximum torque of 92 Nm at 6,500 rpm. This engine, characterised by regular and manageable power delivery to tackle any route, has been optimised for off-road thanks to a dedicated ratio and specific strategies and calibrations of the electronic systems.

The six Riding Modes of the DesertX Rally (Sport, Touring, Urban, Wet, Enduro, Rally) have Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) recalibrated according to the new chassis and for more challenging off-road use.

The electronic functions of the DesertX Rally are managed through the vertically oriented, high-resolution 5″ colour TFT display positioned to offer optimal visibility even when riding standing. This display is designed for integration with the Ducati Multimedia System which allows you to connect your smartphone, thus activating new functions such as music control, call management and Turn by Turn navigation* (optional) with road directions directly on the dashboard. Furthermore, the DesertX Rally offers the Utility Bar as standard for mounting the satnav.

Service intervals for the DesertX Rally are every 15,000 km or 24 months, with valve clearance checks every 30,000 km. DesertX Rally will also be available in a 35 KW version for A2 license holders.Accessories and Apparel
The DesertX Rally has all the essential components for off-road use as standard, but those who want to customise it can do so by choosing from the Ducati Performance accessories catalogue. To extend autonomy, it is possible to mount an additional 8-litre tank which guarantees almost 40% more, perfectly integrated into the line of the motorbike. Aluminium side cases are available which, combined with the top case, give the motorbike a total load capacity of almost 120 litres. For travellers who never stop there are also additional LED spotlights and heated grips.
The steel tube engine guards protect the tank and engine from falls or impacts during off-road use. Finally, enthusiasts who wish to make the image of their bike even more racing can choose the Termignoni homologated exhaust. Anyone wishing to use the DesertX Rally in competition can improve the power and torque values by +7% by means of a racing exhaust, again Termignoni.

Enthusiasts who want to complete their look will be able to choose from various specialist apparel proposals with graphics coordinated with the DesertX Rally livery. The collection, which also includes the women’s line, is made up of the Explorer jacket-trousers set, Atacama gloves, Explorer T7 boots and Arai Tour-X5 helmet.

The DesertX Rally will be available in dealership starting from February 2024. Check with your local dealer for further information.

Ducati Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour: full optional travel

With the second episode of the 2024 World Première, Ducati presents the new Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour. A model dedicated to Ducatisti who love to travel without limits, in maximum comfort and safety. A Multistrada for travellers who pay attention to details, who always demand the best from their Ducati, even in style. A motorbike complete with all the accessories to travel long distances “in first class”. The Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour comes about during the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the Multistrada, and encapsulates all the values and characteristics that have always made it a motorcycle ahead of its time.

The Multistrada is in fact the flagship on which Ducati has introduced innovations and technological developments, such as Riding Modes, which have redefined the standards of the motorcycle industry.

The Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour is a Full Optional motorcycle based on the S model with Travel & Radar setup. It is in fact equipped as standard with a radar system with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD) to improve safety and riding comfort. Still regarding safety, the TPMS system, which shows the tyre pressure on the dashboard, and additional LED lights (standard) to improve visibility at night and in fog, are fitted as standard on the Grand Tour.

The side panniers, standard on the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour, are integrated with the livery of the motorbike. Thanks to the overall volume of 60 litres, they allow you to take everything you need with you even on longer journeys. The central stand, included in the standard equipment, helps to make all operations on the cases easier and safer, from assembly and disassembly to opening and closing.

Comfort on the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour is also increased by the standard equipment of heated grips and rider and passenger seats. Furthermore, the presence of the hands-free fuel cap simplifies refuelling, allowing you to always keep the motorbike key in your pocket.

Finally, the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour incorporates several updates adopted on the V4 Rally. The handlebar is in fact mounted rigidly on the steering head, without silent blocks, providing a more direct riding feeling without compromising comfort. The passenger seat is the model introduced on the V4 Rally, for optimal support on long journeys, and like that of the rider it is embellished with an external covering with dedicated graphics.

Furthermore, to improve thermal comfort, the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour adopts heat shields on the swingarm and on the left side of the rear subframe, and closable ducts in the leg area. The compartment dedicated to the smartphone is now ventilated.

As on all the motorbikes of the Multistrada V4 family, the Grand Tour is also equipped with the navigation system based on the Phone Mirroring solution which allows you to transform the 6.5″ TFT dashboard into a colour map navigator with all the necessary information for riding the motorcycle.

On the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour there is the Minimum Preload function, which allows the rider to lower the motorbike when stopping and when travelling at low speed, reducing shock absorber preload to a minimum. The Easy Lift function, on the other hand, reduces the effort required to lift the motorbike from the side stand by opening the suspension hydraulics when the key is ON.

The Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour completes the family made up of the V4 Pikes Peak, designed for lovers of sporty riding, and the Multistrada V4 Rally, dedicated to Globetrotters who don’t stop even when the tarmac roads come to an end.

The Multistrada V4 is designed to allow Ducatisti to travel without limits in maximum peace of mind thanks to benchmark maintenance intervals (valve clearance check set every 60,000 km) and the 4EVER Ducati and Roadside Assistance programs. The former offers a warranty valid for 4 years with unlimited mileage*. The Roadside Assistance programme, offered on all Multistrada V4s, adds roadside assistance, transport for rider and passenger, a replacement vehicle and overnight stay in a four-star hotel in the event of problems that should occur during the ride to the standard warranty coverage period. All this with the peace of mind offered by a network of more than 800 official Ducati dealers in over 90 countries around the world.

Styling
The Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour is enhanced by dedicated graphics, elegant and dynamic at the same time. The livery of the superstructures is reflected in the black colour for the frame, swingarm, steering plates, side cases and handlebars. The rider and passenger seats are embellished with dedicated graphics.

Engine
The 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine delivers 170 hp (125 kW) at 10,500 rpm and 125 Nm (12.7 kgm) at 8,750 rpm, with a particularly linear torque curve to guarantee a smooth and progressive response at all speeds. The performance of this engine, combined with its total weight of just 66.7 kg, allows the V4 Granturismo to confirm itself as the category benchmark for power and lightness. These numbers are combined with refined technical solutions, such as the counter-rotating crankshaft, derived from the experience gained by Ducati Corse in MotoGP, which works “against” the gyroscopic inertia of the wheels. The results are a fluid delivery at low rpm, robust torque at medium speeds and power at high speeds.

Electronics
In addition to the systems already mentioned, the electronic package of the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour offers the state of the art in the motorcycle sector for safety, comfort, performance and connectivity. The inertial platform (IMU) manages the operation of ABS Cornering, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Cornering Lights (DCL) and Vehicle Hold Control (VHC), which makes restarting on inclined roads simple.

On the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour, the inertial platform also communicates continuously with the Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) semi-active suspension control system. This system is not only capable of analysing riding conditions and adjusting the fork and shock absorber hydraulics instantly, but for the first time it also integrates the Autolevelling function.

Autolevelling recognizes the bike’s set-up and adjusts it autonomously to bring the seat back to the ideal height from the ground in the different riding configurations, adding to the (manual) options already available to the user: rider, rider plus cases, rider and passenger, rider and passenger plus cases.

Finally, the smartphone mirroring functions, implemented through the Ducati Connect system, allow you to control your phone and music in a simple and intuitive way.

Customization
However, the complete equipment of the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour offers ample margin for customization. To meet the ergonomic needs of the rider and passenger, the accessories catalogue offers a variety of saddles, a motorcycle lowering set and several options for the windshield.

Ducatisti who wish to further enhance the tourer qualities of the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour can adopt additional luggage solutions, designed for both the tank and the rear plate, such as a top case or soft bag.

It is also possible to make the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour sportier and embellish it with different carbon fibre trim components, levers and footrests machined from solid aluminium, dynamic LED indicators and brake and clutch fluid reservoirs machined from solid.

Apparel
Ducati has also specifically created some items of apparel to fully enjoy the touring possibilities of the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour. The Atacama C2 suit, for example, with large areas dedicated to ventilation, detachable sleeves and three independent layers, including thermal lining and waterproof membrane, to offer comfort in all weather conditions.

Alternatively, the Strada C5 suit, made of a comfortable, robust stretch fabric with modular thermal protection, thanks to the detachable internal Gore-Tex® membrane and an internal down jacket that can also be used on its own once the motorbike is parked.

Colours and availability
The new Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour will be available in dealerships in the Ducati network starting from November in Grand Tour livery only.

Multistrada: Twenty Years of Emotions and Innovation

Multistrada (Multi-strada, meaning ‘Multi-road’): never could a name have been more apt for a motorcycle destined to leave its mark like few others in Ducati’s history. A dynasty that turns twenty in 2023: twenty years of innovative technology, performance, emotions, and adventures to tell.

The Multistrada was born in 2003 with the aim of offering a Ducati both versatile and sporty, capable of tackling any terrain with maximum safety and solidity. The first version of the bike was the Multistrada 1000 DS, the starting point of a family that has continued to evolve through four generations, the most recent based on the V2 and V4 Granturismo engines.

Over its twenty-year life, the Multistrada has brought with it a rich history of innovations and technological evolutions that have redefined the standards of the motorcycle industry, confirming itself, generation after generation, as the ideal companion for all enthusiasts who love to discover the beauties of the world and experience every journey in relation with the surrounding landscape and with the road, alone or in pairs.

Among the most important innovations introduced for the first time thanks to the Multistrada that must certainly be mentioned are the Riding Modes of the 2010 model, a solution now widespread on most high and medium range motorcycles. The Multistrada V4, the technological benchmark of the Bologna-based manufacturer introduced on the market in 2020, was at the time the first motorcycle in the world equipped with front and rear radar . A solution that has made it possible to introduce the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD) systems, which improve riding comfort and safety. Also on the same model, Ducati introduced the Phone Mirroring solution, which transforms the dashboard into a colour map navigator while keeping visible the information necessary for riding the bike.

The Multistrada V4 also features benchmark maintenance intervals, with valve clearance checks set every 60,000 km. All models in the family come with the exclusive “4Ever Ducati” warranty, valid for 4 years with unlimited mileage*.

To celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the model that changed the history of the Bologna-based manufacturer, Ducati has set up a temporary exhibition entitled “Multistrada 20th – Twenty Years of Evolutionary Exploration” inside its Museum.

Enthusiasts can admire  two of the symbolic models of the Multistrada dynasty up close. On the one hand, the first Multistrada 1000 DS, which embodies the initial vision and inspiration behind the creation of this family of motorcycles, and on the other hand, the more recent Multistrada V4 Rally, which fully epitomises the path of innovation and evolution that the model has gone through in the past twenty years.

The display is enhanced by a short documentary that, through images and testimonies, traces the history and progress that has characterised this incredible model, from its introduction to the most recent versions.

The special exhibition “Multistrada 20th – Twenty Years of Evolutionary Exploration” will remain open until the beginning of October with the same opening hours as the Ducati Museum, from Monday to Sunday from 9:00 to 18:00 and closed on Wednesdays.

The Multistrada will be one of the protagonists of the Ducati World Première 2024. After the first episode dedicated to the Ducati Monster 30° Anniversario, five other appointments, from the 19th of September to the 7th of November, will unveil just as many new Ducati models for the 2024 range every fortnight.

All information on how to visit and book is available in the section dedicated to the Borgo Panigale Experience on Ducati.com.

The history of the Multistrada is also illustrated in the article Multistrada Dynasty on the Ducati website.

The new Ducati Scrambler apparel collection arrives in stores

The new Ducati Scrambler apparel collection arrives at Ducati dealerships and in the online store. The Milestone capsule collection combines the iconic identity that has always distinguished the brand with a colourful and modern design that underlines the concepts of authenticity, stylistic innovation and lifestyle.

The new Ducati Scrambler line, consisting of men’s and women’s jackets with soft-shell fabric protectors, gloves and an Arai jet helmet, perfectly compliments the more casual Ducati-branded garments, such as technical jeans and leather jackets with a decidedly urban flavour. More advanced and fun than ever, this collection is perfect for riding through the urban jungle and pushing your limits.

The Milestone capsule collection clothing is in fact characterised by a casual, outdoor and contemporary style, for both motorbike and everyday use. Among the main novelties is the  SCR62 Milestone fabric jacket, produced by Spidi for Ducati, which represents the perfect mix of comfort and practicality in full Ducati Scrambler style. Available in men’s and women’s versions, it features a 3-layer softshell fabric exterior with a windproof and breathable membrane and inner microfleece for maximum thermal comfort. The interior is constructed from a high-dispersion polyester mesh lining and a detachable thermal jacket that can be used separately, making the garment perfect for use in the city even once you’re off the saddle.

Since it is also equipped with protectors on the shoulders and elbows and prepared for the insertion of a back protector, this jacket is perfect for a trip out of town. The high versatility is also underlined by the special design of this garment in which the colours – inspired by nature – match many versions of the urban bikes in the range. The SCR62 Milestone jacket is the ideal garment to enjoy the urban experience with the perfect look designed by the Ducati Centro Stile.
The Milestone SCR62 motorbike gloves, made of high-strength stretch fabric and leather-like microfibre, have thermoformed polyurethane protectors on the knuckles and adjustable Velcro™ fastening. The anti-slip strap on the wrist increases comfort to allow for a better fit. The fit is soft and comfortable and the nature-inspired colours are ideal for urban use.

The Milestone helmet , created by the Ducati Centro Stile on an Arai base, features a minimalist and sophisticated design. It is designed for a urban use, but is also suitable for touring. The outer shell is rigid and resistant and offers excellent protection in case of impact. Inside is a patented, differentiated density EPS shell, characterised by areas whose compactness varies depending on the area to be protected. In addition to high protection, the helmet also offers a wide field of vision, thanks to the visor equipped with a variable axis opening system. The ventilation system and the natural, ergonomic shape of the shell help stabilise the helmet at high speeds and reduce turbulence, maximising comfort and making the helmet perfect even for long rides.
Finally, the collection includes a wide Sportswear range with which to express your passion every day and wear an explosion of colours: sweatshirts and t-shirts for every occasion.

The unmistakable Ducati Scrambler style is also a protagonist of the art world. The unique version of the Ducati Scrambler Icon characterised by the special covers created by Van Orton Design, already protagonist in Europe during the Next-Gen Tour, is in fact exhibited as a work of art inside the Palazzina Azzurra of San Benedetto del Tronto in the context of “Prospettiva Van Orton”, the personal exhibition dedicated to the creativity of the Turin duo, among the most important exponents of digital art worldwide.

Apparel Ducati Scrambler novelties are available from the Bologna-based manufacturer’s dealer network and online at Shop.Ducati.com.

Monster 30° Anniversario: Ducati celebrates the motorcycle symbol of the naked world

Ducati celebrates 30 years of the Monster with a model in a numbered series limited to 500 units. The Monster 30° Anniversario version is the Bologna based manufacturer’s tribute to a motorcycle that revolutionised the world of two wheels and which since 1993 has won over the passion of more than 350,000 Monsteristi all over the world.

The Monster has always been this: a sporty engine, perfect for road use, chassis derived from the Superbike, wide handlebars and no fairing. An idea as simple as it is effective, which made it possible to create the motorcycle that reinvented the naked segment and which over the years has evolved several times while always remaining faithful to the original idea. This special version also maintains the iconic features of the Monster models: an unmistakable style and maximum fun on the road. Its true nature emerges at the very first glance thanks to the Tricolour 30th Anniversary livery inspired by the sportiest Monsters of the past. This livery celebrates Made in Italy, of which Ducati is an ambassador, and is embellished by the gold colour of the rims, specially made for this model, and of the Öhlins NIX30 fork. Other distinctive elements of this model are a seat embellished with an embroidered 30-year logo and the dedicated animation of the dashboard that starts when the ignition is switched on. Finally, each motorcycle is made unique by a plate on the upper clamp with the model’s name and copy number, certificate of authenticity and dedicated motorcycle cover. The Monster 30° Anniversario is equipped with components which, in addition to enhancing its appearance, also improve its dynamic qualities and allow it to arrive at a curb weight of 184 kg, or 4 kg less than the standard model, already the benchmark in the category for lightness. This milestone is even more important if we consider that components, and therefore weight, such as the steering damper and the windshield have been added compared to the standard model.
The Monster, a modern reinterpretation of the original recipe, is a light, easy-to-handle and fast motorcycle. It is powered by the Testastretta 11° engine, a liquid-cooled 4-valve twin-cylinder with desmodromic timing and 111 horsepower. An extremely reliable and undemanding engine from the point of view of maintenance, thanks to main intervals spread over time (15,000 km for oil changes and 30,000 km for valve clearance checks). It has a full power delivery curve at all revs, especially at medium-low ones, the most used on the road. This means a more responsive engine, which translates into greater riding pleasure.

Extremely functional and effective, the chassis of the new Monster transfers the inspiring principles of the Ducati Superbikes to a road bike. The engine is load-bearing, and a Front Frame is connected to it which conceptually recalls that of the Panigale V4.
The fully adjustable Öhlins suspension  boasts a fork that is 0.6 kg lighter than the one used on the Monster and Monster+, and improves the feeling, as well as increasing ground clearance and consequently lean angle. The suspension setup is sporty, and this allows the Monster 30° Anniversario to give great fun when riding on mixed roads, but also between the curbs of a circuit. The Öhlins equipment is completed with an adjustable steering damper that increases precision and accuracy at the highest pace.

The braking system features Brembo Stylema® front calipers (-0.4 kg than the ones on the Monster) and aluminium flanges for the 320 mm front brake discs (0.5 kg lighter than standard on the Monster) and makes the Monster 30° Anniversario perform better in braking and nimbler thanks to a reduction of inertia at the front end. The bike’s nimble character is further improved thanks to the brand-new forged rims, which reduce unsprung weight by 1.86 kg , decreasing the moment of inertia of the front wheel by 21.8% and the rear by 26.9%.
The electronics of the Monster are at the top of the segment. Standard equipment includes ABS Cornering, Ducati Traction Control and Ducati Wheelie Control, all of which can be adjusted to different levels of intervention. The sporty character of the new Monster 30° Anniversario is also highlighted by the Launch Control which ensures lightning-fast starts. This top-of-the-range motorcycle equipment, which also includes the adoption of a lithium battery that contributes to the reduction of the total weight of the motorcycle, allows the Monster 30° Anniversario to safely express its performance.

The three Riding Modes – Sport, Road and Wet – allow the Monster’s character to be shaped according to the rider’s tastes and needs. Everything is easily managed through the handlebar controls and the 4.3″ colour TFT dashboard, featuring racing graphics that recall those of the Panigale V4, with a large rev counter and a complete set of information on the left, including that of the gear engaged.

The Easy Lift function now available also on the Ducati Multistrada V4 S

The Easy Lift function is now also arriving on the Multistrada V4 S, making it easier to lift the bike from the side stand.

Introduced with the Multistrada V4 Rally, the function acts on the suspension hydraulics by fully opening the valves of the semi-active units for around three minutes when the ignition is turned on. In this way the front and rear suspension are softened, making it easier to lift the bike from the stand.

Confirming the continued attention that Ducati reserves for its enthusiasts, the update is made available both as a standard feature on new bikes and, free of charge, for those who already own a Multistrada V4 S. Customers will be contacted through the MyDucati App ( downloadable here) and via email and they can then go to their trusted Ducati Service to receive updates*.

This function increases the accessibility of the Multistrada V4 S for riders of different builds, adding to the possibility of changing the seat position to two different heights. These are combined with saddles of different height and the motorcycle lowering set offered as accessories.

The Easy Lift function adds to the Minimum Preload in order to make the Multistrada V4 accessible to the widest possible public. Introduced in 2022, this function allows you to reduce the height of the bike by resetting the shock absorber preload.  This makes it easier and safer to put your feet on the ground when manoeuvring at low speed, especially with a passenger on board.

The Multistrada V4, the technological flagship of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer, was the first motorcycle in the world to be equipped with front and rear radar. A solution that has made it possible to introduce the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD) systems, which improve riding comfort and safety, especially on long journeys. The Multistrada V4 has also introduced the Phone Mirroring solution, which transforms the dashboard into a colour map navigator with all the necessary information for riding the bike. This solution has been subject to continuous refinements and updates, all transferred free of charge to Ducatisti who already own a Multistrada V4.

Along with the radar system and the Easy Lift, Ducati has introduced many other firsts in the motorcycle field through the Multistrada family, like the Riding Modes in the 2010 Model Year. The goal of the Bologna-based manufacturer is to improve the bikes by anticipating the wishes of Ducatisti, introducing new features and bringing updates to the bikes already on the road. A mission that is accomplished through continuous investment in research and development, which places Ducati among the most technologically advanced companies in the sector.

The Multistrada V4 also has benchmark maintenance intervals , with valve clearance checks set every 60,000 km and all models in the family come with the exclusive “4Ever Ducati” warranty, valid for 4 years with unlimited mileage**.

The Multistrada V4 family, comprising the Multistrada V4 S, Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak and Multistrada V4 Rally, allows Ducatisti to travel without borders in complete serenity, being able to count on a network of over 800 official dealers in more than 90 markets.

The Roadside Assistance programme, offered on all Multistrada V4s, provides roadside assistance, transport for rider and passenger, repairs, a replacement vehicle and accommodation in four-star hotels in case of faults occurring during the warranty period.

* The software update campaign will start from EU countries and gradually extend to America, Australia, Japan and APAC countries
** The “4Ever Multistrada” guarantee is valid in EU countries only

Streetfighter V4: sportier and lighter with Ducati Performance accessories

The Streetfighter V4, which in the fifth episode of the Ducati World Première 2023 was the protagonist of the evolution of the entire family with the V4, V4 S and V4 SP2 models, represents a benchmark for performance in the segment of super sports naked bikes. In 2023, the Streetfighter V4 followed in the footsteps of the Panigale V4 family, pushing even further the concepts of the “Fight Formula”, the key elements of which are the Panigale V4 stripped of its fairings, high and wide handlebars, 178 kg in weight, 208 hp Desmosedici Stradale engine, biplane wings and latest generation electronics package.

The Ducati Performance accessories catalogue offers numerous ideas for making the Streetfighter V4 even lighter and promoting its sporty nature, with components that enhance its aesthetics and dynamic aspects, transforming each Streetfighter V4 into a truly one-of-a-kind model, according to the taste and personality of the owner.

The Sport package  brings together various accessories to underline the racing soul of the Streetfighter V4, also allowing you to save on the purchase of individual components. This proposal focuses on the refined construction quality of the billet aluminium components, such as the fuel tank cap, the brake and clutch levers and the handlebar counterweights, and on the elegance of the dynamic LED indicators, which are reflected in the carbon fibre of the light license plate holder . The tank cap is equipped with an anti-tampering system, with the key bearing the Ducati shield. Counterweights protect the handlebars in the event of a slide and help to reduce vibrations.

The Streetfighter V4 can become even more aggressive and sporty thanks to numerous carbon fibre parts such as front and rear mudguards (also compatible with the use of track tyres and tyre warmers), instrument cover, which improves aerodynamic protection, tank cover, pinion cover and biplane wings, made of structural carbon fibre. These components, in addition to enhancing the racing personality of the Streetfighter V4, also improve the bike’s power/weight ratio.

The homologated Akrapovič silencers make it possible to further lighten the Streetfighter V4, with a weight saving of 0.8 kg. The titanium alloy body and carbon end caps guarantee lightness and resistance to high temperatures and combined with the honeycomb grille at the gas outlet hole, give the naked supersport bike from Borgo Panigale an even more aggressive look.

The beauty of the Streetfighter V4 is also made up of details that gratify the eye of the most attentive enthusiast: technical parts such as the brake and clutch fluid reservoirs, or the oil filler cap, made from billet aluminium, anodised to maintain the original appearance over time and enhance the racing look of the bike. Those who would like to make the touch on the handlebar even more pleasant can mount a pair of racing grips, designed to reduce perceived vibrations and guarantee optimal grip in all situations, avoiding involuntary slipping of the hands.

Finally, those who wish to harness the power of the Streetfighter V4 on circuit can adopt the full Akrapovič titanium exhaust system, developed in collaboration with Ducati Corse. With a noise level of less than 105 dB, it does not preclude use on days with noise limits, while still guaranteeing a significant increase in performance. The weight saving is 5.5 kg, the power and torque gain at mid-range is 6%. The exhaust is delivered together with a racing-derived polyester air filter and a dedicated mapping, with which all the DTC – DWC – DPL and DSC parameters are adapted to the bike’s increased performance. The exhaust must be fitted with the specific carbon fibre protection.

The entire range of accessories is available on the Ducati.com website, where in the “Configurator” section you can choose your favourite components to make your Streetfighter V4 unique and share them with your nearest dealer.

Electronic innovation, the Ducati way

Every Ducati is a magical mix of beauty and technology. A unique balance that the Bologna-based company has been able to build up over the years, combining attention to design with the constant work of R&D in the field of innovation.

From the Multistrada V4 to the Scrambler, passing through the Panigale V4, each model is designed to offer Ducatisti only the best, thanks to sophisticated solutions capable of giving them unforgettable experiences every time they are on the bike.

In this sense, electronics play a fundamental role, and it is for this reason that, especially in the last 15 years, Ducati has invested daily in the development of cutting-edge technologies.

The electronic solutions make it possible to refine the character of each bike according to the intended use: whether it is to enable the best performance on the track with the Panigale V4 or to provide the most comfortable and exciting journey possible with the Multistrada V4.

Thanks to this awareness, over the years Ducati has introduced many of the solutions that later became standard on motorcycles in the various segments.

The innovations introduced by Ducati
In 2008, with the 1098R, Ducati was the first motorcycle manufacturer to introduce Traction Control on a motorcycle, moving the performance and safety benchmarks of super sports bikes forward. Just one year later, the LED headlight  introduced on the Streetfighter 1100 represented another Ducati world first. In 2010, Ducati presented the first motorcycle in the world capable of “changing character” thanks to the presence of the Riding Modes: the Multistrada 1200 S. Other electronic innovations introduced by Ducati include the TFT instrumentation of the Diavel, in 2011, another example of a technical solution that has now become a standard on motorcycles in every segment. In 2012, the 1199 Panigale, which received the prestigious design award, the Compasso d’Oro, saw the introduction in the motorcycle field of the Full-LED light cluster and electronic engine brake management.
Since safety is a very important aspect for Ducati, in 2014 the Bologna-based company, together with Dainese, introduced the first motorcycle with an integrated system capable of communicating with the airbag  in the jacket: the Multistrada 1200 Touring D|Air. At the time, airbag systems did not guarantee current safety standards, while the sophisticated Multistrada 1200 Touring D|Air system sent the activation signal in just 20 milliseconds in the event of a crash or slide. In 2018 Ducati introduced the Slide By Brake system that allows controlled power sliding under braking on the Panigale V4, while in 2020, with the Multistrada V4, Ducati was the first motorcycle manufacturer to introduce radars to the world of two wheels, which allowed the implementation of the Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection systems. 2023 saw the arrival of extended deactivation on the Multistrada V4 Rally, a sophisticated system which, by switching off the two rear cylinders, reduces fuel consumption and heat. These are the  innovations introduced by Ducati in the world of two wheels, many of which are now standard on motorcycles “over 500 cc”.

In addition to working to introduce new technical solutions to the market, Ducati R&D works every day to evolve and perfect existing bikes, improving them year after year. This is what happened, for example, with Multistrada V4 owners, who received the Minimum Preload and Easy Lift systems free of charge when they were introduced on later models, and who continue to benefit from navigation system upgrades. Or the evolution that the Panigale V4 has undergone from 2018 to today.

Creating safe, high-performance and accessible motorcycles is the basis of the development of every Ducati, which thanks to all these innovations and the continuous development of solutions already on the market, today offers a range in which each model represents a technological benchmark in the segment to which it belongs, also in terms of safety, given that all Ducati motorcycles are equipped as standard with ABS Cornering and Traction Control.

Ducati’s approach is to develop internally the technologies to be introduced on its motorcycles, together with its suppliers,  simultaneously creating know-how within the Company. Concrete examples are the close collaboration with Pirelli, Brembo, Bosch and other suppliers with which the Bologna-based manufacturer participates in the development of components which are first mounted on the Ducati bikes. This approach is even more valuable when it comes to electronics because it allows Ducati to have full control over the technologies implemented, thus being able to customize them without constraints depending on the application, from the Panigale V4 to the Scrambler via the Streetfighter, Diavel, DesertX and the Multistrada V4, which represents the maximum expression of Ducati electronic technology.

Electrical & Electronic Systems: development and creation of expertise
The drive towards innovation in electronics goes hand in hand with the growth of the Electrical & Electronic Systems department, which has seen its resources quadruple in just over ten years. Through the work of this department, which is part of R&D, Ducati studies, develops and introduces new and often innovative systems into series production, obviously also drawing on experience from racing competition. The constant work of developing and refining the technical and technological solutions has introduced a very broad range of functions and devices across the entire range, which today varies from the state-of-the-art available on the Panigale V4 and Multistrada V4, to systems such as Ride-by-wire, Traction Control, Quickshift, Riding Mode, Cornering ABS and TFT instruments also on more accessible models such as the Scrambler.

Ducati innovation also involves new working methods. In addition to developing new technologies internally, Ducati has had several internal laboratories within the company for several years to carry out tests during the development phase, without necessarily having to rely on external resources or suppliers. One of these is Electrical & Electronic Testing which is responsible for testing the electrical and electronic components of the bikes in the range, putting them to the test to measure their quality and duration over time. The purpose of this activity is twofold: to quickly solve the problems that may arise during the development phases and to monitor the quality of the already existing models.

Among the tests that are carried out by highly specialized personnel in the Electrical & Electronic Testing laboratory there are those for verifying the functioning of the components in extreme thermal and environmental conditions, made possible thanks to the use of cells capable of replicating temperatures ranging from –40°C to 180°C and atmospheric events such as heavy rain or salt mist. The components are also put under stress by means of robots which repeat operations thousands of times, such as, for example, the rotation of the handlebar to check the correct reliability of the wiring, or other operations such as the brake lever to turn on the brake light, in order to verify its resilience in real conditions of use.

Furthermore, inside the laboratory, we go as far as controlling each individual chip, even by sectioning them to analyse them under a microscope and verify their exact composition and consistency with the development specifications.

Software debugging and mobile app activities are also carried out within Electrical & Electronic Testing. Over the years, connectivity is also becoming an increasingly important aspect in the motorcycle field and, given the growing number of smartphone manufacturers and the constant updating of the various operating systems, the presence of a group of people within the Company who deal with this aspect represents an added value to always keep up with the times. An example of this work can be found in navigation systems: from the Phone Mirroring solution adopted on the Multistrada V4, which makes it possible to transform the dashboard into a colour map navigator containing all the information required for riding the motorbike, to the Turn-by-Turn  system which was introduced in 2023 on the DesertX and Diavel V4. These two solutions allow Ducati not to be bound to a specific operating system but allow compatibility with iOS and Android systems and the continuous evolution of the software which is then updated free of charge for customers.

All of this is “the Ducati way”. A working methodology that has allowed Ducati to create increasingly innovative products with improved quality year after year, testifying to how the strategic commitments of the Bologna-based manufacturer, from racing competition to R&D, passing through investments in experimentation, are aimed, year after year, at giving Ducatisti the bikes of their dreams.

Innovations introduced by Ducati as world firsts:

  • 2008, DTC Traction Control – 1098 R
  • 2009, LED headlight – Streetfighter 1100
  • 2010, Riding Modes – Multistrada 1200 S
  • 2011, TFT instrumentation – Diavel
  • 2012, Electronic Engine Brake Management (EBC) and full-LED headlight – Panigale 1199
  • 2021, Adaptive Cruise Control/Blind Spot Detection – Multistrada V4
  • 2023, Extended Deactivation – Multistrada V4 Rally

Powerstage RR Limited Edition: The first carbon-framed Ducati e-MTB

The e-MTB range for 2024 expands with the introduction of the Powerstage RR Limited Edition, Ducati’s most exclusive e-enduro model developed to tackle the most extreme off-road conditions. The name Powerstage, in fact, recalls a new type of special stage recently introduced in the e-enduro circuits which consists in tackling, in addition to the classic downhill stages, a technical uphill route, testing both the skills of athletes competing in the races and the performance level of the vehicle.

Powerstage RR Limited Edition is a concentration of technology and advanced components, defined by eliminating compromises with the aim of offering maximum performance.

The “full carbon” frame has undergone lengthy testing on the toughest routes with a single goal: to guarantee maximum performance in the enduro field. The choices on the arrangement of the carbon layers and on the types of fibre intertwining are the result of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) which allows to identify the points subject to greater stress, which therefore require greater strength. More attention to stiffness has been given to the steering area, the rear chain stay and the engine area reinforced by two ribs (T-Ribs).

On the frame there are many other high-quality functional details, such as the passage of internal cables, protected by a steering stop system (T-Stopper), bearings on the joints, in direct contact with the carbon without the use of bushings and an asymmetrical rear chain stay, which in addition to a captivating design offers better responsiveness and uphill traction.

The geometric solutions adopted make the Powerstage RR extremely fast and stable on the roughest routes. The verticalised 78° seat tube angle allows the rider to assume an optimal position in the saddle on technical uphill sections, and a slack 64° head tube angle helps to overcome any obstacle at top speeds.

The new Shimano EP801 drive unit represents a benchmark for the category and maintains the native characteristics of the EP8: 250 Watts of nominal power and 85 Nm of torque, always delivered with the utmost fluidity and naturalness over a wider cadence range than ever before. The new system features two preconfigured assistance profiles: “long ride”, to favour autonomy on long tours and “fast ride”, to enjoy maximum performance on shorter outings. By means of the “Fine Tune” mode present on the Shimano “E-Tube Project” app, it is possible to create your own profiles thanks to the extensive possibilities for customising the electric assistance. The removable 630Wh Shimano battery is positioned inside the “verticalised” downtube in order to lower the centre of gravity, improving the balance of the bike.

The Öhlins RXF38 m.2 air fork (180 mm travel) and the Öhlins m.2 spring shock absorber with TTX technology (170 mm travel) are fully adjustable in both rebound and compression, at high and low speeds, ensuring precision riding and stability.

The SRAM GX AXS 12-speed wireless rear electronic shifting provides immediate and precise gear-shifts at all times. The Braking First brakes with customised Ducati Corse levers and 203 mm thick 3 mm discs are among the most powerful currently on the market.

The Crankbrothers Synthesis wheels with differentiated format (29” front, 27.5” rear) with variable thickness carbon rims help to further improve steering precision, guaranteeing an excellent weight/strength ratio. The tyres are Pirelli Scorpion Enduro S on the front and Pirelli Scorpion EMTB-S on the rear to offer maximum grip and adherence.

The equipment is completed by a telescopic seat post, a Renthal carbon handlebar and a Fizik saddle with special integrated tool holder.

Giorgio Favaretto, Head of e-Bicycle Business – “Ducati’s pedal assisted bicycle project took shape with the launch of the MIG-RR, the first e-mtb produced in collaboration with Thok E-Bikes. In 2022 the range of E-Bikes has been made even more complete and performing. Today, with the new Powerstage RR, Ducati strengthens its presence in the premium-range e-mountain bike segment, aimed at even more demanding bikers.”

The livery designed by Aldo Drudi in collaboration with the Centro Stile Ducati is inspired by the Desmosedici GP23 of the official MotoGP team, enhancing the unique character of this e-mtb produced in a limited edition of 230 numbered units, a figure that recalls the denomination of the racing bike.

The new Powerstage RR Limited Edition will be previewed in the paddock area during the upcoming German Grand Prix at Sachsenring and can already be ordered from the Ducati dealer network and online at www.ducati.com.

The Borgo Panigale manufacturer is gearing up to welcome all enthusiasts from 21 to 25 June at Eurobike (Frankfurt, Pavilion 8, stand I03) with the 2024 e-Bicycle range.

New Black on Black Livery for the Panigale V2

New Black on Black Livery for the Panigale V2: when boldness meets performance.

A refined combination of sportiness and elegance, the Panigale V2 moto compact transmits power at first sight. The super sports bike from Borgo Panigale is ready to give track riding enthusiasts unique emotions, thanks to its high performance, the result of intense research by Ducati technicians.

The Panigale V2, characterised by compact and muscular lines, is equipped with sophisticated electronics, designed to let the rider exploit its performance in total safety. The true sports bike DNA is also confirmed by the new standard Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tyres.

For 2024, Ducati updates the colour range of the Panigale V2 with a new Black on Black Livery, which accompanies the classic Ducati Red.

The new livery enhances the bold character of the Panigale V2. The predominance of dark matt grey is intercut with the presence of glossy black elements, for a refined final combination. The livery is completed by the Panigale V2 logo and the red details on the tank, fairings and wheels. Another new feature introduced by the Black on Black Livery is the saddle, with renewed graphics and materials.

The Panigale V2 is a muscular but compact bike, with essential design and decisive profiles which transmit power without losing the typical elegance of Ducati sports bikes. The surfaces of the bike, tailored around the Monocoque frame, highlight the shapes of the Superquadro twin-cylinder, while the front is dominated by the two air intakes that integrate the full-LED headlamp. The “double layer” fairing – which sees a main fairing extending upwards to ideally embrace the tank and a secondary one with the function of an air extractor – offers the typical essentiality of Ducati sports bikes, emphasising elegance and uniqueness.

A sporty style that integrates fully with the power expressed by the Panigale V2 engine, the 955 cc Superquadro twin-cylinder. Euro 5 approved, the Superquadro is as enjoyable to ride on the road as it is powerful and responsive on the track, with its 155 hp at 10,750 rpm and a torque value of 104 Nm at 9,000 rpm.

Safety and total bike control are always guaranteed by the electronic equipment of the Panigale V2, based on the use of the 6-axis inertial platform. The electronic package includes ABS Cornering EVO, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 2, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Ducati Quick Shift up/down (DQS) EVO 2 and finally Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO, which helps the rider to optimise the stability of his or her Ducati in extreme cornering conditions.

Together with the celebratory Panigale V2 Bayliss, the Panigale V2 is the only twin-cylinder in Ducati’s Panigale range.

Every Ducatista can make their Panigale V2 unique thanks to a wide range of accessories in the “Configurator” section  of the Ducati.com website, where all the components of the Sport package are available, designed to enhance the racing spirit of the bike. An entire line of Ducati’s 2023 apparel collection is dedicated to the rider, including the Ducati Corse C6 suit and the top-of-the-range Ducati Corse V6 helmet among the new models, all available on the shop Shop.Ducati.com website.

The Panigale V2 is the protagonist of the DRE Racetrack Academy, which allows you to experience all the thrills of track riding, and of the DRE Track Warm Up Academy, the new-for-2023 course of the Ducati Academy dedicated to all amateur motorcyclists who want to learn the basics for the right approach to circuit riding. Both courses include the exclusive participation of Dario Marchetti, rider, instructor and DRE Technical Director.

Special Liveries for the Official WorldSBK and MotoGP Teams for the Misano Races

The return of Giallo Ducati: special liveries for the official WorldSBK and MotoGP teams for the Misano races.

Ducati pays tribute to its history in the world of racing by announcing that both the official WorldSBK (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati Team) and MotoGP (Ducati Lenovo Team) teams will compete in the Misano rounds of their respective World Championships with a special livery characterized by the return of Giallo Ducati colour.

The project was presented during a press conference held at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in which Centro Stile Ducati Director Andrea Ferraresi took part together with the Italian designer Aldo Drudi, the man who created the special livery . The unveiling for the fans took place shortly before the formation lap of Race-1 of the Italian WorldSBK round, when the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati Team opened the garage door and the official riders, World Champion Alvaro Bautista and teammate Michael Ruben Rinaldi, entered the track astride their respective Panigale V4 R in Giallo Ducati with race suits coordinated with the shades of the bike.

Yellow is a colour that has an important tradition in the history of the Bologna-based motorcycle manufacturer. The first sport motorcycles in this colour date back to the first half of the ’70s (the 750 Sport and 750 SS Desmo of the Spaggiari team), but it was in the ’90s that Giallo Ducati, the colour that specifically inspired this livery, had the moment of greatest popularity with the adoption in the world of racing, which then extended to series production. The memorable models in Giallo Ducati certainly include the Ducati 748, whose racing version took Paolo Casoli to victory in the 1997 edition of the Supersport World Series, without forgetting superbikes such as the 916, 996, 749, 999 and other various models in the range.

“Ducati has an extraordinary history of which its passionate fans are extremely proud. The yellow colour is an important part of this and we have chosen to celebrate it through a contemporary livery full of energy. – declared Andrea Ferraresi, Ducati Centro Stile Director – Colour is an essential ingredient for brand recognition and a fundamental element for all Ducatisti. Ducati is Red, but Yellow also belongs to us and at the same time has an important tradition in Italian motorsport. Giallo Ducati reflects important aspects of our identity, such as energy, enthusiasm and audacity and is a really nice tribute to our sporting history in the year in which we race as World Champions in the two most important motorcycle championships”.

From a chromatic point of view, the livery of the Panigale V4 R of the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati Team has been designed starting from the original graphic base. Giallo Ducati becomes the dominant colour of the bike and is crossed by black, grey and white blocks and lines, creating a combination that celebrates the sporting history of the Bologna-based motorcycle manufacturer, but at the same time gives Giallo Ducati a modern identity.

For 2024, the Hypermotard 950 RVE version changes its look and is updated with new graphics called Graffiti Livery Evo.

The new livery uses water decals with the aim of obtaining a refined and complex graphic design which, as for the previous livery, is inspired by works of street art. The graphics involve the entire bike, thus creating an effect comparable to that of airbrush painting. The RVE logo, placed on the rear sides, is a further detail that identifies the new Graffiti Livery Evo livery.

The Hypermotard 950 transmits lightness and essentiality thanks to its clean shapes and taut lines. The reference to the supermotard world can be found in the high double exhaust, in the straight saddle profile and in the extreme proportions of the bike, which communicate agility and adrenaline, even when stationary. In addition to the RVE version in Graffiti Livery Evo, the Hypermotard family is made up of the standard 950 version, available in Ducati Red, and the SP version. The latter further accentuates the sporty character of the Hypermotard thanks to its Öhlins suspension with increased travel, forged Marchesini wheels and Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up and Down EVO as standard (the latter also standard on the Hypermotard 950 RVE).

High-level performance, always manageable thanks to cutting-edge electronics, is combined with a modern and elegant style. At the same time, the Monster retains the DNA of the first generation of 1993: the Testastretta 11° engine combined with a frame that follows Superbike concepts, the aluminium Front Frame inspired by the Panigale V4. Everything you need to have fun on your motorbike.

For 2024  Ducati has updated the colour range of the Monster with the Iceberg White livery, which is added to the Ducati Red and Aviator Grey colours. The new livery is also available for the Plus version, characterized by the addition of a front fairing and passenger seat cover that make the Monster even sportier.

The new livery enhances the essential and clean lines of the Monster thanks to the combination of cold white Iceberg White and Ducati Red chosen for the seat finish; the combination of the two colours creates a refined and contemporary look. A sporty touch is given by the red tags on the wheels.

The Monster makes lightness one of its strengths. Each component has been designed to have the lowest possible weight, from the aluminium Front Frame to the tail fixed directly to the engine, for an overall reduction of weight of 18 Kg compared to the previous generation. The result is a nimble and compact motorcycle, capable of moving easily in traffic and at the same time guaranteeing full control in every situation.

The ease of riding the Monster is supported by a comfortable position, designed to make the rider always feel at home. The 820 mm height of the saddle from the ground and the narrow sides of the bike allow you to rest your feet easily on the ground, while the position of the footrests and handlebars facilitates relaxation of the torso and legs. A comfortable riding set-up that multiplies the possibilities of having fun at any riding level.

The modern and sophisticated design focuses on the essential and enhances the distinctive features of the Monster. While the front view of the bike is dominated by the full LED projector, the rear instead sees a short and sporty tail, with two painted side panels inspired by the Panigale V4. In the centre, the Monster’s unmistakable curved and muscular fuel tank.

The electronics of the Monster are of the latest generation. The standard equipment includes ABS Cornering, Traction Control and Wheelie Control, adjustable on different levels of intervention; all the useful information for riding is clearly visible on the 4.3” colour TFT display. The sporty nature of the Monster is also enhanced by the presence of Launch Control, which allows MotoGP-style starts.

The engine is a Desmodromic Testastretta 11° twin-cylinder Euro 5 approved, with valve clearance checking and adjustment only to be carried out every 30,000 km. The maximum power and torque values are respectively 111 hp at 9,250 rpm and 93 Nm at 6,500 rpm. For A2 licence holders, the Monster is also available in a depowered 35 kW version. Reliable and ready in its power delivery, the Monster’s engine can be adapted to the needs of each rider thanks to the three Ducati Riding Modes: Sport, Touring and Urban.

Every enthusiast can choose to customise their Monster thanks to a wide range of Ducati Performance accessories, from the Termignoni approved silencer to the engine guard or racing licence plate holder. All the accessories, made with high quality components, can be consulted in the “Configurator ” section on the website Ducati.com, together with a wide range of helmets, jackets and trousers: everything required to meet the needs of every Monsterista and ride the motorcycle safely and with style.
