With a large presence in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, R&G will also be adding the Eazi-Grip tank grips to the R&G Technical Centre, which features at all eleven rounds of the series, ensuring they are available to all riders, teams, and members of the public who visit.

GBRacing protection now available for Aprilia’s iconic RSV1000 and Tuono models

GBRacing protection is now available for the second generation of Aprilia’s legendary RSV1000 R, Factory and Nero (2004-2010) as well as the corresponding Tuono models (2005-2010).

Part of GBRacing’s ongoing programme to expand its range retrospectively, as well as keeping up with all the latest model releases, these new secondary clutch and alternator covers provide high-quality, contemporary protection to this Italian icon.

Owners of the original RSV1000 — often referred to as the ‘Mille’ or, more affectionately, ‘Millie’ — are also catered for with the clutch cover also compatible with earlier models of RSV1000 (1998-2003) and Tuono (2002-2005).

New XL Street Bullet Frame Sliders

The choice of numerous championship-winning race teams, renowned for their incredible ability to absorb the energy from high speed crashes saving damage to the chassis, GBRacing has redesigned and re-imagined the Bullet Slider for the street bike rider.

The new XL Street Bullet Frame Sliders offer the same incredible impact absorption technology with a larger puck for the ultimate in street bike chassis protection.

The XL also uses a reinforced version of the intelligently engineered mounting bush pioneered by the original Bullet Slider that effectively concertinas to absorb the energy of a direct impact.

This bush is also designed with a ‘sacrificial’ weak point. This means should the bike slide into a kerb, it will snap, preventing the slider from digging in, causing the bike to flip and subsequently sustain more damage.

This design also overcomes the age-old, traditional ‘crash bung’ problem of a long bolt bending in a frame at best, tearing threads out or even damaging engine mounts at worst. By using a short bolt that sits close to the bolt socket (5mm) the chance of the bolt bending and causing more (totally avoidable) damage is all but eliminated.

These larger, XL Street Bullet Frame Sliders are ideal for road riders looking for a more substantial looking crash puck to protect against accidental drops and road-speed spills.

For racing and track applications, the original Bullet Frame Sliders remain the recommended option, with proven performance at the very highest level of production racing.

This new logo block will be fitted to new stock as it is built in our Baldock production facility, and can also be purchased separately for customers wishing to upgrade or renovate their existing GBRacing covers.

In 2020, he also set his first Guinness World Record for the fastest wheelie with both legs over the handlebars, completing the incredible feat at a breath-taking 109mph!
The rest of the year looks set to be just as action-packed, with Jonny competing in the British Stunt Championship and European Stunt Championship, as well as performing at a host of events, including this weekend’s MCN Festival of Motorcycling, as well as Autoshow Cumbria, Autoshow Doncaster and the British Motor Show in Farnborough.

GBRacing launches new protection for the Yamaha MT-09

GBRacing has released a full set of protective secondary engine covers for the latest generation Yamaha MT-09.

New engine architecture to give an increase in both cubic capacity and performance was a key part of the first major revision to the hugely popular Yamaha triple since its launch in 2013.

Yamaha’s 2021 revamp also afforded GBRacing the opportunity to produce a completely new engine cover set comprising of alternator, clutch, pulse and water pump covers.

The same 890cc three-cylinder engine is used in the FZ-09, Tracer and Scrambler, adding four new Yamaha models to GBRacing’s constantly expanding product range.

These new Yamaha models bring GBRacing’s total secondary engine cover range to over 140 models across 13 different manufacturers.

Constant development using data and lessons learned from world championship racing and investment in new engineering capabilities, together with advances in GBRacing’s patented composite, has delivered improvements in all areas of GBRacing secondary engine covers from durability and resilience to finish.

Having recently repurposed the original GBRacing factory in Barnet to specialise in hand-finishing smaller components to cope with increased customer demand, this is the first set of covers to be designed, prototyped and produced exclusively at GBRacing’s new purpose-built facility in Baldock, Hertfordshire, using the very latest, state-of-the-art five-axis CNC milling machines.

R&G Renews Partnership With California Superbike School UK

Relaunching last year with a new partnership with Kawasaki UK, the California Superbike School is going even bigger for 2022, announcing more dates across the country.  Crash protection specialist R&G is pleased to announce that it will once again be protecting the school’s fleet of green machines, providing a full range of products to protect the fleet while it’s in transit and also to minimise damage in the event of an accident.
Having first partnered with the California Superbike School exactly twenty years ago, R&G has gone on to protect the motorcycles in use by both the UK and US branches, covering a wide range of makes and models. Fresh from announcing its continued support of the American school, R&G is pleased to confirm it will again be protecting the UK school this year.
For 2022, the school will be using a fleet of Kawasaki machinery again, including the Ninja ZX-10R, Z H2, Z900, Z650 and Ninja 650, ensuring riders of all levels and abilities will be able to enjoy their day on track and hone their riding skills.  R&G will be supplying a full suite of products for each motorcycle, including Aero Crash Protectors, Fork Protectors, Tank Traction Grips and Engine Case Covers. This ensures that riders and coaches have complete peace of mind that the bike is protected at all times.
To make this 20th anniversary year that extra bit special, there will be a unique R&G California Superbike School event held on the 6th of July at Donington Park.
