Two GIVI Looks for the Yamaha Ténéré

The transalpine motorbike and rider equipment company has everything you need to equip this adventure bike.

GIVI has 45 years of experience in designing equipment. And this experience can be seen in its extensive range of products which meets all the needs of two-wheeled enthusiasts, whatever their ride may be. What’s more, it also has a wide range of accessories specifically designed to fit perfectly with the best-selling motorbikes in their specific sector. One of the benchmarks in the trail/adventure market is the Yamaha Ténéré, for which the Italian brand offers two looks.

The combination of good value for money, elegant design, a good engine and a great chassis make the Yamaha Ténéré 700 one of the dominant bikes in the trail world as well as one of the best sellers in our country. Keeping the owners of this amazing bike in mind, GIVI has made a multitude of accessories available that fit the bike like a glove, such as side cases and rear boots that have specific attachments, tank bags, saddlebags and even screens.

A look for off-road adventures
The best companions for the Yamaha Ténéré on road trips are hard cases. Among all the models in GIVI’s extensive range, the best fit for this bike is the Trekker Outback. This set consists of a top case, available in two sizes (58 litres or 42l.), and side cases, which also  come in two versions (37l. or 48l.). They have an aluminium structure and internal reinforcements in profiled aluminium. They are also equipped with the new MONOKEY® CAM-SIDE fastening system, a fastening mechanism made of die-cast aluminium and reinforced technopolymer inserts, which offers extra safety.

To complete this look, the Italian brand suggests adding the XL01 and XL03 extensible soft bags, which can be attached by straps on top of the panniers. They are made of polyester, nylon, TPU and an external material highly resistant to UV rays. Its base features an anti-slip coating, which makes them water resistant. That’s not all – they include an external top pocket separate from the main compartment, carry handles and reflective print for increased visibility, among other features.

The ultimate off-road package
The Ténéré is an ideal bike for off-road riding, an activity you don’t want to do unless you are well equipped. For this, GIVI has the Canyon range of bags that are specifically designed for off-road riding and are a perfect match for this Yamaha model. The GRT720 saddlebags, which both have a capacity of 25 litres, are equipped with a Security Lock and feature adjustable top and bottom straps with buckle snap closure to maintain tension. Another option is the GRT723 top bag, which features a capacity of 40 litres, and offers great practicality even during stops, thanks to the ergonomic front handle, which makes it easy to grip and carry.

If you want to go one step further, we recommend adding a tank bag, which is the finishing touch for this set. Within the GIVI catalogue there’s an option designed exclusively to fit the distinctive tank of this bike: the XS320. This accessory includes reflective side prints, a rain cover, an adjustable handle and shoulder strap, a map holder and a zip suitable for attaching a security padlock.

These, and many more GIVI items, provide a boost for motorcycle trips and make any journey on two wheels a more comfortable experience. For more information about this product or any other accessories for your motorcycle visit www.givi.co.uk or call 01327 706220.

Speed makes no noise
GIVI has always paid attention to the needs of the most sporty motorcyclists in order to satisfy them through the constant search for aesthetics, high performance and innovation in their accessories. An example of this is their top of the range helmet, the 50.9, which is approved according to the ECE 22-06 standard, the most recent and the most demanding to date. Correct air circulation is guaranteed thanks to its three front air intakes and two rear extractors. What’s more, the interior is completely removable and washable and is made of hypoallergenic fabric.

It’s specifically designed to be used on sports bikes, offering perfect stability even at high speeds. It doesn’t end there: it’s made with side zips covered with reflective materials to deflect air and prevent it from opening unexpectedly.

Café racer style and electric innovation

With a thermoplastic shell and ECE 22.06 homologation, which guarantees maximum safety, this helmet also features an advanced ventilation system that ensures rider comfort. This makes it the ideal choice for two-wheeled enthusiasts who are planning routes and trips during the warmer months of the year.

PHOBIA

In 2002 GIVI, the transalpine brand, launched its first helmet with the aim of continuing to make everyday life easier for motorcyclists all over the world. Now, in the midst of celebrating its 45th anniversary, the firm has just presented its new full-face model, with both a sport character as well as one suited to touring: the 50.7. It’s a helmet conceived and designed for those who find their home on the roads and enjoy long routes and even journeys of hundreds (or thousands) of kilometres.

Rebel

The GIVI 50.7 has a thermoplastic shell, available in two sizes, a stainless steel micrometric fastener, and is certified according to the ECE 22.06 European standard, the most recent and demanding standard to date. This means the helmet has passed impact tests with 12 new points, as well as high and low speed tests and the oblique impact test, confirming it as one of the safest helmets on the market.

Rebel

Rider comfort is also guaranteed, thanks to the incorporation of an elaborate ventilation system, consisting of three air intakes (two at the top and one in the chin guard) and two rear extractors, which allow for correct air circulation and, therefore, temperature regulation. It also features a removable nose pad and a specific windshield, as well as a hypoallergenic, removable and washable interior. What’s more, it has an anti-scratch visor and is also prepared for Pinlock® (not included) to ensure perfect vision at all times and in all conditions.

On the outside, it’s sporty, but not as aggressive as the GIVI’s racing models, with a design featuring elegant and sophisticated lines. For now, it’s available in three different graphics (Solid Color – matt black or glossy white, Rebel – black, with details in grey and turquoise or red, and Phobia, black with geometric lines in fuchsia or red and in grey with the lines in black), which will appeal to not only the user with classic tastes, but to those also seeking a more daring design.

Solid

The GIVI 50.7 helmet is available in sizes ranging from XS to 2XL, for 132.90 £ (Solid Color) or 139.90 £ (Rebel and Phobia).

GIVI: half a life of experience and innovation in its helmets

The great evolution of the transalpine company has led it to achieve the greatest comfort, style and safety in head protection on a motorbike.

GIVI, motorcycle and motorcyclist equipment brand, has been working for more than 20 years in the design and manufacture of top level helmets. Two decades in which, through innovation, active listening and constant effort, it has achieved that its products reach the highest levels of quality and safety, becoming one of the first manufacturers to launch models on the market that have passed the tough and demanding tests of the ECE 22-06 standard.

1920 marked the beginning of the technical evolution of motorcycling helmets with the first soft leather models derived from the world of aviation. Thirty years later, jet helmets appeared and in the 1970s the first full-face helmet was developed. It was around this time – in 1978 to be precise – that GIVI was founded by Giuseppe Visenzi as a manufacturer of motorbike accessories. But it was not until 2002 that the transalpine company began its journey in the world of helmets, with the 10.1 jet. Two decades have passed since then, a time in which it has continued to produce and improve its products to the point it has become a reference in a sector that has recently seen the approval of a new and demanding regulation: ECE 22.06.

With the 10.1, the Italian brand managed to catch up with its rivals. Despite marking GIVI’s beginning in the sector, the jet included a removable visor and adjustable air intake – features on a par with the competition’s models.

Their first modular, the X.08, came out in 2008 with the same features as most helmets in the industry, with two different sizes of thermoplastic shells depending on size and a synthetic polyester foam liner. What’s more, there was a micrometric quick release fastener to speed up putting the helmet on and taking it off.

In 2013 it launched its first full-face model, the X.01. Made of thermoplastic with an EPS interior and a synthetic polyester fabric lining bonded with polyurethane foam, it more than met the standards of the time. It also had a ZSP Micro 01 micrometric closure with a polyester strap, features and materials that, although they have improved over the years, are still present in GIVI helmets.

GIVI’s path in this sector wasn’t an easy one. They had to carve out a niche in a sector filled with brands and specialists who boasted years of experience. It wasn’t enough for them to have earned a leading position in the production of motorbike and scooter accessories. So they set up an in-house laboratory with state-of-the-art technology and specialised engineers and technicians. Here they carry out crash tests and recreate all possible riding situations, taking into account atmospheric conditions and simulating the tests that the helmet has to pass in order to achieve certification. All this is what has made the difference, allowing the brand to quickly catch up with its competitors.

All the helmets mentioned above, as well as the rest of the previous GIVI ranges, have been tested under the ECE 22-05 standard since its inception as a helmet manufacturer. Therefore, the enormous trajectory of its R&D department, together with its experience in carrying out the tests required by this standard, has led to the production of increasingly safer helmets. And with the incorporation of the ECE 22-06 homologation, their adaptation to it has been much quicker, simpler and more efficient.

Thanks to their long history of developing and testing these products, last year GIVI launched models with the new standard. Their first off-road helmet, the 60.1, together with the 50.9 and 50.8 full-face helmets, presented at EICMA 2021, were the first with ECE 22-06 homologation, demonstrating had successfully anticipated its obligatory nature. From that moment on, the new GIVI helmets are produced under this standard and work is already underway on the homologation of all its previous models that are still on the market.

With this, GIVI proves it’s at the forefront, not only in the motorbike accessories sector, but also in the motorbike equipment sector. This is the perfect end to 20 years of history as a helmet manufacturer, and the road ahead is full of innovation and quality.

These, and many more GIVI items, provide a boost for motorcycle trips and make any journey on two wheels a more comfortable experience. For more information about this product or any other accessories for your motorcycle visit www.givi.co.uk or call 01327 706220.

In addition, all accessories, such as visors, also have this approval.

The GIVI 60.1 off road integral thus offers a boost in safety. It is made with high quality components: Resistant materials such as the technopolymer used in the shell. Its interior, designed with an attractive camouflage finish, is made of hypoallergenic, removable, and washable fabric. In addition, it includes an adjustable visor, ‘Double D’ strap closure and front, upper and chin guard air intakes, along with a rear extractor.

The 60.1 is apt for the discerning palates of all types of dirt bike, enduro and supermotard enthusiasts. GIVI’s sportiest helmet to date arrives as limited edition

The Italian company present the 50.6 Sport Deep, a unique helmet that adds to the top-of the-range products in its already extensive collection.

GIVI have taken a giant step forward with the launch of their new sporty full face helmet. Based on the 50.6 model that hit the market in 2020, the Sport Deep version is a limited edition product aimed at fans of sports bikes, sport tourers and naked bikes. Using an elegant ‘brushed metal’ effect in the 6 two-colour graphic versions available, it also features details such as a mirror screen visor and metallic micrometric closure system.

The Italian manufacturer, specialists in the design and manufacture of motorcycle accessories, began their journey in the world of helmet production in 2002. Since then, the collection coming out of the Brescia factory has improved and expanded, adapting not only to current aesthetics and trends, but also offering high quality products at an affordable price.

For 2021, GIVI have launched the bold and dynamic 50.6 Sport Deep model. A special edition of the existing 50.6 Stoccarda, its clear differentiating features are its daring colour combinations and excellent finishes

The helmet, made of technopolymer, comes in 2 shell sizes, in order to perfectly meet the needs of each rider and covering interior sizes ranging from XS to XXL. The total weight of the Sport Deep is 1,490g, light enough to travel hundreds of kilometres without the rider feeling heaviness in their neck and upper shoulders. In addition, its extraordinary aerodynamic design, free from ridges and protrusions, and the efficiency of the front air intakes (two upper and one on the chin guard) and two rear extractors, aid comfort even on naked and streetfighter type machines lacking in aerodynamic protection. Interior ventilation makes for a cool ride in summer, and heat preservation in winter.

The smoked / iridium visor, which comes with pinlock as standard, is another of the peculiarities of the GIVI 50.6 Sport Deep helmet that make it exceptional. It has, like the rest of the models in the 50.6 range, a retractable interior tinted visor; as well as a removable and washable inner fabric (in this case also incorporates the emergency cheek pad removal system), a specific windshield and removable nose deflector. The locking mechanism is metal micrometric, one of the safest and most comfortable forms on the market, and can be operated even with gloves on.

The GIVI 50.6 Sport Deep is available in 6 colour schemes, including the return of a design with the colours of the Italian flag, at a price of £149.90 -more than attractive for a helmet with its characteristics and performance.
