Hypermotard 950: an even more dynamic style thanks to Ducati Performance accessories

The Hypermotard 950 family offers lovers of Ducati’s fun-bike great fun in the corners, nimbleness in city use and safety offered by Ducati’s sophisticated electronic equipment, combined with an unmistakable supermoto look, essential and light.

The family is made up of the top-of-the-range Hypermotard 950 SP, which stands out for its MotoGP-inspired livery, Öhlins suspension with increased travel, Marchesini forged wheels and Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up and Down EVO as standard. The Hypermotard RVE is instead distinguished by the “Graffiti” livery, while the Hypermotard 950 is available in the Ducati Red colour.

The engine of the Hypermotard 950 is the 937cc twin-cylinder Ducati Testastretta 11°, capable of delivering 114 hp at 9,000 rpm and generating a torque with a flat curve whose peak is equal to 9.8 Kgm at 7,250 rpm.

A complete range of Ducati Performance accessories is available for the Ducati Hypermotard 950 family, purchasable singularly or in Style and Sport packages that enhance the style and sportiness of the Ducati’s fun-bike.

The Sport package includes a selection of accessories designed to enhance the sporty character of the Hypermotard 950. A carbon plate holder, flanked by approved Termignoni silencers with titanium sheaths and steel bottoms and dynamic LED indicators, give the “Hyper” an even more dynamic and edgy image.

To make the Hypermotard even more aggressive and captivating without losing elegance, you can choose from the many components in carbon fibre or billet aluminium, a selection of which is offered in the Style package. The fairing, rear mudguard and tank guard in carbon fibre are completed by the tank cap and water pump cover in billet aluminium.

Anyone wishing to go even further in customising the Hypermotard 950 can also adopt the heat shield and front mudguard in carbon fibre, the brake and clutch fluid reservoirs and the oil filler cap in billet aluminium. Ducati’s fun-bike is also able to adapt to the different physical characteristics of the rider by means of the low saddle and thanks to the front and rear box stands it can be lifted and parked, even for a long time, in total safety.

However, the Ducati Hypermotard is also suitable for daily commuting as well as short-range touring, activities that are enhanced by the adoption of passenger handles and a soft tank bag. Finally, frame buffers combine style with protection in the unfortunate event of a crash.

The entire range of accessories is available on the Ducati.com website, where in the “Configurator” section you can choose your favourite items to make your Hypermotard unique and share them with your nearest dealer.

Ducati presents the new Hypermotard 950 RVE version

Ducati presents the new Hypermotard 950 RVE, which is part of the Borgo Panigale fun-bike family between the entry model Hypermotard 950 and the top of the range Hypermotard 950 SP.

The Hypermotard 950 RVE is characterized by a livery called “Graffiti” that is inspired by street art. The bike builds on the success achieved in 2019, especially on social media, by the Hypermotard 950 Concept presented at the prestigious Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

Wanting to transfer the same manufacturing quality of the concept bike from which it derives to the production motorcycle, it was necessary in the painting phases, to employ highly skilled labour, use very low thickness decals and adopt a particularly long and complex process. The result is comparable to that of an airbrushed bodywork.

Not only graphics, but also a standard equipment upgrade for this new version. The electronic package of the Hypermotard 950 RVE is enhanced by the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up and Down EVO, which is added to the components already present in the standard version, namely Bosch Cornering ABS with Slide by Brake function (in setting 1), Ducati Traction Control Evo (DTC EVO) and Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO.

The Hypermotard 950 is the fun-bike par excellence of the Ducati range and is designed to guarantee a high level of fun and control while riding. The aggressive design of the bike, inspired by the motard look, revolves around the twin exhausts under the seat and the smaller superstructures that leave the mechanical components visible, including the trellis rear frame that communicates lightness and essentiality. Ergonomics ensure the rider maximum responsiveness in all conditions. The seat is flat, particularly tapered to ensure wide movement and allows you to touch the ground with ease.

The Hypermotard 950 RVE is powered by the twin-cylinder 937 cc Testastretta 11° engine, which with its 114 hp at 9,000 rpm and 9.8 kgm of torque, of which over 80% is already available at 3,000 rpm, is the perfect engine to offer maximum fun both in sports riding on the track or on roads full of curves and in everyday riding on urban stretches.

At the top of the Hypermotard 950 range is the Hypermotard 950 SP with racing graphics and Öhlins suspension with increased travel, Marchesini forged rims and Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up and Down EVO.

The bike will be available in Ducati dealers starting from July.

‘Join Ducati’: the winner of the contest is drawn

‘Join Ducati’: the winner of the contest is drawn and will receive a brand-new Hypermotard 950 with special livery.

The ‘Join Ducati’ contest has come to an end. To participate to the special initiative, organized by Ducati to reward the loyalty of its customers, the only necessary requirement was to own at least one Ducati motorcycle.

The 155,000 members of the ‘My Ducati’ program, the reserved area in which customers can manage their garage by accessing all the information on their bikes, update their profile and personal preferences to take part in initiatives of their interest and receive exclusive content, have responded with massive enthusiasm. Participants in the competition uploaded the registration document of each Ducati motorcycle currently owned in the Borgo Panigale motorcycle manufacturer’s website area dedicated to ‘Join Ducati’.

The most prestigious prize is a Hypermotard 950 with a special livery, an exclusive replica of the concept presented at the 2019 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, which immediately met with the approval of the fans, generating numerous articles and shares on the web and on social channels throughout the world.

Ducati has decided to make it available to its community, transforming it from concept to prototype. A unique piece, featuring graphics created by the Ducati Design Centre and inspired by the graffiti of the metropolitan area, created only for the contest and personalized with the autograph of Andrea Amato, the designer of this captivating livery.

The lucky winner of the motorbike is a passionate Californian Ducatista, Jose Carlos Sagarminaga, 34 years old, already owner of a Hypermotard SP that he also uses on the track and member of the DOC of Sacramento, who will soon see delivered to him this exclusive and beautiful motorbike, which is already on its way from Borgo Panigale to the USA.

The competition also offered 3 Ducati MotoGP Experience, an invitation for two people during one of the next European race weekends (to be defined once the 2020 calendar has been confirmed), which includes, in addition to accommodation, access to the most exclusive areas of the circuit and a meet and greet with the Ducati Team MotoGP riders. Also assigned are fifteen 1: 8 scale reproductions of the Hypermotard 950 Concept and 10 Redline B2 backpacks made by Ogio exclusively for Ducati.

Given the success of ‘Join Ducati’, the initiative will be repeated in the coming months. To receive information and access the next competitions, it is sufficient to be registered with MyDucati.
