R&G Goes Green With All-new ZX-10R And ZX-10RR Range

R&G, the world leader in crash protection products for motorcycles, is turning green with a full range of protection and styling accessories for the all-new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR.

Despite the new Superbikes not yet being available in the UK, Hampshire-based R&G secured access to one of the first models in the country. This allowed the crash protection specialist to accurately measure the new machine, developing a full suite of products for these two new models.

The new range of products includes core crash protection items, such as the popular Aero Crash Protectors, Engine Case Covers, Bar End Sliders and Fork Protectors. This is in addition to a complete collection of accessories, such as the R&G Tail Tidy, Radiator Guards, Brake Lever Guards and Tank Traction Grips. Riders are also able to install the newly-refreshed R&G Chain and Sprocket Guards.
The full collection of products for the World Superbike-conquering ZX-10R and ZX-10RR is available now from R&G or its extensive dealer network.

Akrapovič Celebrates 30 Years with Very Special Limited-Edition Exhaust

Akrapovič is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and to mark this momentous occasion the Slovenian exhaust specialists are releasing a very limited edition, which will only be available in 30 individually numbered pieces.

The Evolution Line (Titanium) 30th Anniversary* exhaust system for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-10RR will be a one-off special as part of the Akrapovič celebrations. This unique product will be prepared with an engraved Akrapovič logo and number in a series of 30. To add to its special character, each exhaust will come with a special certificate to verify its exclusivity and rarity.

Akrapovič has a racing DNA that has run through the company since the early days, when Igor Akrapovič was racing and tuning his bikes in his garage to achieve better performance. In 1991, from a small workshop where he began specialising in developing and producing exhaust systems for racing and sport bikes, he sowed the seeds of the Akrapovič company, which is now a worldwide name in both racing and retail. Akira Yanagawa of the Kawasaki factory team won Akrapovič’s first world championship race, when he took victory in a WorldSBK event in 1997, and Jonathan Rea of the Kawasaki Racing Team celebrated a record six-in-a-row world championship title in 2020 – all achieved using Akrapovič exhausts. It is these connections that have led to Akrapovič creating this limited-edition exhaust for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-10RR.

To mark such a special occasion, the limited-edition exhaust for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-10RR is a very distinctive product. The Evolution Line (Titanium) 30th Anniversary exhaust system is fully constructed from lightweight high-grade titanium, with a titanium muffler outer sleeve, link pipe, and headers. The outer sleeve will be black with a special golden front rosette, as seen on the specially prepared Akrapovič exhaust on Rea’s bike after winning his sixth consecutive title. The tubes will be 0.9 mm thick, as used by the Kawasaki Racing Team on its WorldSBK bikes, and the system will also include CNC-machined special treated bushes, again as used in WorldSBK. The headers will be coated for increased durability, and the whole system will be finished with unique engraving and a handcrafted carbon-fibre end-cap.

The visual impact of the Evolution Line (Titanium) 30th Anniversary exhaust system is a very important factor for such a significant product, but this is an exhaust that is as much about performance as style, and it certainly delivers on both counts. Weighing in at 6.6 kg (56.4%) lighter than standard stock, the overall exhaust is a very close relative of the system that the Kawasaki Racing Team is using in WorldSBK, and the deep, pure racing sound that this limited-edition Evolution Line (Titanium) 30th Anniversary emits certainly enhances the system’s sporty heritage. Power and torque levels are increased through the addition of the exhaust, with gains of 8.2 kW (11.1 hp) at 8,550 rpm and 13.4 Nm at 3,600 rpm in back-to-back tests on the Akrapovič in-house dyno with the standard stock exhaust system for comparison. Due to the sporty and racing nature of the system, remapping is mandatory because it is intended for closed-course competition use only. For tracks with a noise limit, a noise insert is supplied to allow owners to ride at the majority of venues.

The 30-year limited edition Evolution Line (Titanium) 30th Anniversary exhaust system for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-10RR is a special product, totally fitting the occasion. Its looks, performance, and sound are at the forefront of motorcycle exhaust technology, and whether it is used for its intended purpose, or simply displayed on a wall, it is certainly a collector’s piece worth talking about.

For added insight, visit our special website dedicated to the Evolution Line (Titanium) 30th Anniversary exhaust system with a specially prepared video of this exhaust.

Akrapovič: 30 Years of Building a Heritage

Akrapovič is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2021. The beginnings of the world-famous manufacturer of high-performance exhaust systems go back to even before its formal incorporation in the spring of 1991, when operations started in a workshop just over a kilometre away from its current headquarters at Ivančna Gorica.

Igor Akrapovič was a motorcycle racer who already tuned motorcycles during his racing career to make them even faster. At first, he worked on his own machines, but later he also started tuning those of others, even his rivals. It was this passion for technology and constant improvement of motorcycle components that made him decide to start his own business and dedicate his future to developing high-performance exhaust systems. Exhaust systems were where Igor Akrapovič saw his greatest opportunity because at that time there was little competition on the market, but substantial room for improvement. He initially focused on racing motorcycle exhaust systems, building a rich tradition of state-of-the-art products, from which he soon expanded into the mainstream motorcycle market, as well as the car market later on.

Three decades after its inception, the company is operating at two state-of-the-art production sites in Slovenia, with over 1,300 employees. The facilities at the company’s headquarters in Ivančna Gorica comprise an in-house titanium foundry, a durability dyno on which a robot rides the motorcycle, a metallurgical lab, an R&D department, and a racing department. The entire production, from tube making to final assembly, takes places in a large production hall at Črnomelj.

The company continued to develop, and the increasing demand for its products forced it to expand its premises, which it continually furnished with state-of-the-art equipment required to develop and manufacture its products. Throughout, a special culture has been built inside the company rooted in the employees’ desire to offer customers exhaust systems and other products of the highest quality.

This commitment to constantly invest in the development of products and the technology required to manufacture them has been inseparably connected with racing, which provides the perfect laboratory for testing technical and technological solutions and materials. The first victory at a world championship race on an Akrapovič-outfitted motorcycle was secured by Akira Yanagawa (Kawasaki) in WorldSBK in 1997, and the first world championship title won on a motorcycle featuring the Slovenian manufacturer’s exhaust system was recorded in 2000, when Akrapovič brand ambassador Colin Edwards triumphed in the WorldSBK on his Honda.

“Back in the beginning, I was tuning complete motorcycles and using the money I earned to compete in races. Tuning was almost as interesting to me as racing itself, and so it was kind of natural for me to buy a tube bending machine. That’s how it all started. I look back at the company’s three decades of development, especially its racing history, with great pride because races are the toughest testing ground for a product.” – Igor Akrapovič

To date, the company has secured 140 world championship titles with its partner racing teams in various racing disciplines, along with numerous victories in FIM MotoGP, FIM WorldSBK, FIM MXGP, FIA WEC, and DTM, famous races like the Isle of Man TT, 24 Hours Nürburgring, 24 Hours of Le Mans, 24 Hours of Daytona, and Dakar Rally, and more.

Alongside the company’s high profile, which goes hand in hand with its presence at races, it has been its attention to detail and desire to also create the best products for ordinary customers that have brought the company numerous honours and awards. Very important among them are the fourteen Red Dot awards won over the past eight years, including the Red Dot: Best of the Best award in the Product Design category for the Evolution Line (Titanium) exhaust system for the Ducati 1199 Panigale in 2014.

“From the very beginning, the company’s vision and culture have stayed the same: we continue to focus on developing the perfect product, placing innovation, research, and application of top-notch technology and state-of-the-art materials at the forefront. Development and curiosity drive us forward to keep looking for solutions how to improve and upgrade our products and make them even more attractive for our customers. Development has no limits because technology can always be improved.” – Igor Akrapovič

To mark the 30th anniversary, Akrapovič engineers used the company’s long years of experience and know-how to design two special Evolution Line (Titanium) 30th Anniversary* exhaust systems for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR / ZX-10R and the Ferrari F8 Tributo, with a limited edition of only 30 pieces each. Details about the two products will be presented in press releases during the coming weeks.

You can follow all the information on the company’s 30th anniversary on its official social media channels under the hashtag #30YearsAkrapovic or visit Akrapovič 30 Years, a special website dedicated to the company’s 30th anniversary, where new content will be posted throughout the year, including a special issue of Akrapovič Lifestyle Magazine in digital format. The 30th issue of the magazine will feature selected articles from the previous issues, alongside new material looking back at the company’s development over the past thirty years.

Kawasaki’s complete 2020 off road line up unveiled

KX450

Featuring a total of five KX and two KLX machines in its complete form, the Kawasaki off road offering for the 2020 season has been unveiled.

Headed by the highly accomplished KX450, the KX motocross range now showcases a new KX250 for 2020 boasting finger follower valve technology (shared with the Ninja ZX-10RR and KX450) which allows more aggressive camshaft timing and valve lift therefore increased power.

That power-up is also aided by changes to the fuel injection and induction system leading to an increase of 2.4 kW (3.3 PS). With the addition of a new, upgraded, Kayaba (KYB) ø48 mm inverted coil-spring fork.  The large-diameter inner tubes enable the use of large damping pistons, delivering smooth action and firm damping.  Stiffer spring rates front and rear match the KX250’s increased power.

Joining the impressive 450 and 250 machines in the KX range for 2020 are the “my first racer” two-stroke KX65 which has won countless 65cc class championships and the combination of the small wheel and big wheel two stroke KX85.

For enduro fans the KLX450R continues to offer large capacity competition ability while the KLX110 enables youngsters to take to two wheels and learn the basics of machine control on a rugged and reliable Kawasaki off-roader.

Pro racer, national level competitor, weekend track user and entry level rider, for 2020 Kawasaki continues to offer a comprehensive and durable range of lime green machines.

“Most powerful yet” Kawasaki KX250 unveiled for 2020 model year

With a comprehensive list of new features and key updates, the 2020 model KX250 motocross machine has been unveiled. As the most powerful specification production 250cc four stroke off-roader ever available from Kawasaki, the expectations for podium topping results are understandably high.

Continuing the theme of Supercross and motocross success, the new model year KX250 will reward the commitment shown by both professional and eager amateur riders taking the Kawasaki quarter litre capacity MX concept to the next level.

Leading the new thinking – and as the result of Kawasaki official team feedback during the current season – the front fork (along with key engine and other chassis modifications) illustrates well how seriously the Akashi factory takes off-road sport.

Chief among the front fork changes is the adoption of a Kayaba (KYB) assembly incorporating a new high-performance ø48 mm inverted coil-spring fork. The large-diameter inner tubes enable the use of large damping pistons, delivering smooth action and firm damping. Stiffer spring rates front and rear match the KX250’s increased power. The fork’s improved ability soak up bumps at the initial part of the stroke is complemented by increased firmness for handling large impacts and matched to the rear shock which features dual compression adjustability, allowing high-speed and low speed damping to be tuned separately.
Speaking of power, the headlines are dominated by changes to the cylinder head group and induction modifications. Featuring finger follower valve actuation most recently adopted by the Superbike world championship winning Ninja ZX-10RR, this new direction facilitates a higher rev ceiling and more aggressive camshaft timing whilst reducing overall valve train weight. Boasting an increase in peak power of approximately 2.4 kW (3.3 PS), and performance focused on the high-rpm range, the stronger high-rpm engine gives riders a special advantage on the straights. Combined with a higher rev limit, it’s now easier to tie corners together for quicker lap times.

Additionally, a revised airbox construction features a shorter (120 mm > 70 mm) tapered intake funnel, which contributes to increased high-rpm performance. Another KX250 innovative feature is the dual injectors – a feature since 2012 – utilising an injector downstream of the throttle valve (where injectors are located on standard FI systems). With that in mind, the larger diameter (ø43 mm >> ø44 mm) throttle body flows a greater volume of air, contributing to increased high-rpm performance, while repositioning the intake duct allows an even straighter approach for intake air.

Finally, downdraft-style intake routing increases the intake air’s approach angle into the cylinder from 29.5º to 32.5º, improving cylinder-filling efficiency and contributing to increased engine power.

These stand-out features – along with a long list of clever additional updates – combine to create the most powerful production KX250 four-stroke yet and a prime candidate for podium topping rides.

Within an environment where not simply winning on track is of high importance but also meeting and exceeding the efforts of rival manufacturer’s, Kawasaki has once more taken the highly successful KX250 concept to an even higher level.
As machines soon become available in dealers, committed and motivated Team Green enthusiasts, plus the huge number of Kawasaki focused off-road teams, will be able to experience first-hand the “most powerful yet” Kawasaki KX250.

Kawasaki Motors UK Partner with Steve Brogan Superbike School

Ex British Superbike racer, Steve Brogan has deployed a fleet of Kawasaki Ninja motorcycles for use at his renowned Superbike training school.

A family of Ninja ZX-6R and Ninja ZX-10R motorcycles have joined Steve Brogan’s coaching stable and they are now available to hire by aspiring track riders of all skill levels at circuits around the UK and further abroad in Europe.

Steve Brogan’s experience spans from racing 600cc Supersport and 1000cc Superbikes, to competing in the highest level of the British Superbike Championship and making an appearance in selected rounds of European and World Championships. Steve also managed a Kawasaki supported Superstock 1000cc racing team in the British Superbike championship. With hundreds of clients and more than five years of coaching experience to his name, ‘Brogie’ has fine-tuned a technique of quickly understanding what riders are doing wrong and pointing them in the right direction.

“I’ve learnt quite a bit over the last twenty years of racing, doing things the right way and wrong way. I’ve paid the price of getting things wrong and one of the biggest motives for my Superbike school is to give all the track riders the education they need to not make the same mistakes I did over the years,” commented Brogan.

“I have worked with different levels of riders on track from novice to intermediate and up to club level racers. Even club riders can still make big improvements but the margins are a little smaller.”

“I’m very passionate about what I do because when you get it wrong on a race track it can cost a lot of money, so I see my school as an investment that will pay off in the long run where riders will avoid simple yet costly mistakes, learn skills that will not only improve their track riding but also their road riding skills and ultimately this will help clients enjoy their riding so much more I believe,” said Steve.

Customers can expect to begin their day with Steve explaining everything he will be doing on the track. Riders will follow Steve to view his riding techniques and eventually overtake him so that an analysis of their riding can be made. “I’ll have a look at them and see what they are doing and I’ll give them feedback after every session with a debrief. Everyone receives one-on-one tuition in the group, even with a full group, our customers will get plenty of individual tuition and that is our promise.”

The decision to partner with Kawasaki was an easy one for Brogan who said, “I’ve always had a good relationship with Kawasaki over the years and it has always been a special brand for me because it was the first bike I raced in 1994 (Kawasaki AR80), when I was fourteen years old and it was also my last race bike in 2013 which was the Ninja ZX-10R. I ran my own Kawasaki supported team in 2014 and from there it was a natural partnership as there was only ever one choice.”

The Ninja ZX-10R has made an impression on Brogan who said, “I absolutely love it. It lives up to all the hype and it surprised me in a few areas. I have a lot of experience with the top sports bikes because I’ve ridden and raced most of the brands so I’m definitely impressed with the Ninja ZX-10R.”

Kawasaki Motors UK Senior Racing Coordinator, Ross Burridge said, “Kawasaki have enjoyed a long working relationship with Steve, back to when he was successfully racing a ZX-10R in the National Superstock Championship. When the opportunity arose to work with Steve on this exciting new project, we jumped at the chance. With Steve’s skill set as a racer, but more importantly as a coach, we couldn’t think of anyone better suited to help aspiring track users hone their skills and enable them to enjoy their bikes to the fullest. The Ninja family is such an important part of our business and with the recent successes we have enjoyed in racing, it’s great to see an opportunity for customers to try these bikes out under the guidance of such an experienced mentor.”

“After wobbling around the track for three days I decided to have a day’s tuition with Steve and wow what a difference Steve made in my riding style in just 5 x 20 minute sessions. Steve’s methods and teaching ability are second to none, everything just seemed to sink in and I was given the confidence to go faster everywhere on the track,” said Sean Chantrey after attending a Steve Brogan Superbike School day.

The new Kawasaki Corral ticket package offers customers a 15 percent discount on ticket purchases to MotoAmerica events (promo code: KAWASAKI). In addition to having the opportunity to ride their own Kawasakis on a parade lap of the racetracks, the Kawasaki Corral ticket package will include an escorted grid walk for all the Liqui Moly Junior Cup races, which feature several Kawasaki Ninja 400s – including the one ridden to victory three times thus far by Ashton Yates.

“It’s awesome that Kawasaki is growing with our series,” said MotoAmerica President Wayne Rainey. “They started with a great contingency program for our riders who race Kawasakis and now that has expanded to the ticket-package deal. Ninja ZX‑10R SE arrives for 2018 with electronic semi‑active suspension

In the hands of Jonathan Rea, the Ninja ZX-10RR achieved premier place in the 2017 WorldSBK Championship. Now that machine and the standard Ninja ZX-10R are joined by Kawasaki’s first motorcycle to feature electronic semi-active suspension, the new Ninja ZX-10R SE.

Complementing the ZX-10R and more track focused ZX-10RR, the Ninja ZX-10R SE is a new, high-grade addition to the litre sports bike class. Thanks to its electronic semi-active suspension, on the road and track the superb damping character offers a level of ride comfort that almost makes you forget you are riding a bike with race-ready suspension, while outstanding damping responsiveness delivers a planted feel that translates to rider confidence and further advances the ease of riding offered by the Ninja ZX-10R SE.

Be assured that the Ninja ZX-10R SE’s high circuit potential – as demonstrated by Kawasaki’s success in the Superbike World Championship – is undiminished: not only are experienced riders able to explore their limits, the new suspension enables a wider range of riders to get a taste of what it is like to ride Kawasaki’s WorldSBK-winning machine. Comfort and performance. The all-round supersport machine. The new Ninja ZX-10R SE really does offer the best of both worlds.

Equipped with Showa suspension units front and rear (Balance Free Front Fork and BFRC Lite shock featuring the same construction as the suspension on Kawasaki’s WSB Ninja ZX-10RR race machines), the Ninja ZX-10R SE is Kawasaki’s first motorcycle to feature Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension (KECS); the very latest technology with stroke sensors and adjustment solenoids built into the suspension units themselves, ensuring the system is both discreet and highly efficient.

Drawing information from these stroke sensors plus other inputs from the machine such as acceleration and deceleration data plus vehicle speed, the ZX-10R SE incorporates a dedicated suspension ECU that communicates with the standard fitment ECU and the inertia measurement unit (IMU) to provide a fast responding and reassuring ride in one of three settings; road, track or manual.

The reaction time for the system is incredible. With an information update speed measured in milliseconds, the interpretation of that input and subsequent suspension adjustment both front and rear is almost instantaneous. Effectively this means that the suspension is being constantly refined and adjusted to suit the prevailing road surface plus the demands of machine dynamics and rider input.

Overshadowing the adapted four wheel technology and slower reaction times of competitors, the combination of advanced Showa suspension and Kawasaki’s expertise in modern electronic rider aids has produced a genuine step forward in suspension technology.

Impressive in either road or track mode, the extra adjustability and convenience of a manual setting option delivers supreme “tunability” to suspension parameters that effectively means there is a setting for all situations.

Adding to the overall desirability of the high-tech package, the Ninja ZX-10R SE also features specially cast Marchesini seven-spoke forged alloy wheels, an evocative matt black appearance with distinctive green highlights and the Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS) for clutchless up and down shifting and effective sport riding.

“This marks a significant step for us in terms of suspension technology and we believe this system is truly cutting edge in its design and operation”, commented Morihiro Ikoma, Director of Kawasaki Motors Europe.”

“Mating information gained in the competitive arena of WorldSBK with leading edge suspension has created a machine that will certainly appeal to Ninja ZX-10R fans that seek what is newest and most up to date. Adding this machine to our range for 2018 displays our continued confidence in the formidable and iconic Ninja brand.”

The Kawasaki Ninja 400 is born on the street and inspired by the track

Kawasaki adds a lightweight street focused contender to the expanding Ninja range: the all new Kawasaki Ninja 400 – an impressive, sharp-looking, accessible sports model offering excitement and ease of riding.

Kawasaki proudly introduces a new sports model into the highly competitive 400cc market, which has strong representation in Asia and America and is now gaining ground in Europe. Clad in sharp new Ninja styling, the new Ninja 400 delivers greater performance than its predecessor thanks to an all-new more powerful engine and a significantly lighter chassis.

But like the Ninja 300 that preceded it, this new Ninja model possesses much more than high performance. Not only does the Ninja 400 offer stunning, high-quality looks, its stronger engine performance, light, predictable handling and relaxed, sporty riding position make it both fun and easy to ride. This duality – the ability to offer excitement and ease of riding to wide range of customers – is sure to make the new Ninja 400 a fan favourite.

The new sporty 399cm3 parallel-twin engine is tuned to deliver greater performance than its predecessor at all rpm thanks largely to the new downdraft intake, which is accompanied by a larger airbox offering increased intake efficiency. This increased performance – 45ps at 10,000rpm and 40% more torque (38 Nm at 8,000rpm), is complimented by a rider-friendly character and high controllability courtesy of a smooth and predictable throttle response, abundant low-end torque and a new assist and slipper clutch with an extremely light feel at the lever.

While being just 100cm3 larger, the capacity increase is just one part of a fundamental upgrade delivering improved power, torque, chassis stability and suspension compliance that moves entry-level Ninja riding into a completely new arena.

To that end, Ninja 400’s lightweight trellis frame has a similar design to that of the Ninja H2’s and Kawasaki’s advanced dynamic rigidity analysis was used to ensure optimum rigidity with light weight. The engine is rigid-mounted and used as a stressed member and the new frame design contributes significantly to the bike’s low 168kg kerb mass and reassuring handling. With its lighter chassis and slim, compact design matched by a more rigid 41mm diameter fork, the Ninja 400 offers both stability and manoeuvrability, making it an easy choice for new and experienced riders alike.

Head-turning looks have always been a forte of Ninja models, regardless of displacement and with the mighty Ninja ZX-10R as inspiration, the Ninja 400 fits right into the legendary Ninja range. The large volume bodywork with hints of Ninja H2 styling gives the impression of a larger capacity machine, attracts attention and gives even greater level of wind protection. Furthermore, it’s all topped off with contemporary design, excellent fit and finish plus the look and feel of the KRT ZX-10RR racing colours.

The Kawasaki Ninja 400 will be available in showrooms in February 2018.

Akrapovič Introduces the Latest Innovations for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

Akrapovič Introduces the Latest Innovations for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R 1Akrapovič has launched its latest range of innovative exhaust systems for the 2016 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R with designs strongly inspired by the exhausts used by Tom Sykes and Jonathan Rea during the machine’s 2015 World Superbike Championship–winning season.

The Akrapovič Evolution Line (Carbon) is a full system designed to deliver an impressive increase in power across the entire rev range while also improving torque delivery and decreasing weight by over 5 kg. Constructed from a high-grade and race-proven lightweight titanium alloy and finished with a hand-crafted carbon-fibre hexagonal muffler and endcap – inspired by Jonathan Rea’s 2015 WorldSBK winning machine – this system is beautifully designed to blend in seamlessly with bike’s striking appearance while still making a statement that this Akrapovič system means business. With a power increase in excess of 16 HP (12.1 kW), the Evolution Line also delivers a unique deeper, sporty sound to enhance its racing heritage. With the option of a carbon-fibre muffler bracket to further complement the entire system, the Evolution Line is certainly the complete package to improve the performance and appearance of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R.

The Racing Line (Carbon) is a full stainless-steel exhaust system with a beautifully finished hexagonal carbon-fibre muffler sleeve with titanium inner parts and a carbon-fibre endcap. Delivering a huge increase in power and torque across the entire rev range, the Racing Line is a performance system designed to give the rider the true spirit of a race-bred exhaust. With an improved deeper sporty sound, the Racing Line system sounds just as good as it looks. An option to add a carbon-fibre muffler bracket is available to complement the beautiful finish of this impressive system.

Akrapovič has also launched two Slip-On Line exhausts as an initial step in the exhaust tuning process. The carbon-fibre version of the Slip-On Line is an EC-ECE type-approved exhaust that provides an increase in both power and torque across the entire rpm range and a reduction in weight. With a hexagonal muffler and endcap finished in hand-crafted high-quality carbon fibre, and titanium pipes and muffler inner parts, the Slip-On Line looks every bit of the race exhaust that inspired its creation. The exhaust can be further enhanced with the addition of the optional titanium link-pipe to increase performance, and a further addition to improve the exhaust’s appearance can be achieved by adding the optional carbon-fibre muffler bracket.

The Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust is aimed directly at markets where EC-ECE type approval is not valid. With an increase in power and torque, coupled with a weight savings, the titanium version of the Slip-On Line is a step up in performance. Designed with a short conical muffler for an enhanced racing appearance and finished with a carbon-fibre endcap, the Slip-On Line also offers a unique sharper racing sound that is tuned to intensify the whole experience. An optional titanium link-pipe is also available, designed to take the exhaust tuning process to the next step.

An optional titanium link-pipe is offered for both Slip-On Line exhausts, developed to provide an increase in power and torque and create an even more linear curve across the entire performance spectrum, coupled with a decrease in weight by more than 4 kg. When installed on the Slip-On Line (Carbon), the sound also becomes louder to boost the senses, and when added to the Slip-On Line (Titanium) the unique tone produces the loudest sound available, displaying the exhaust’s true racing spirit. When fitting the link pipe to the Slip-On Line exhaust, the bike’s ECU must be remapped.

The latest range of innovative Akrapovič lightweight exhaust products will take the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R to even greater performance levels, all the while increasing aesthetic and aural levels to make the bike an even greater pleasure in every area.
