TomTom enhances Winding Roads experience for bikers
New software upgrade allows bikers to pre-plan their journey on their PC
TomTom brings enhanced route management functionality to TomTom Rider with updated Tyre Pro® software. Bikers can now create winding road routes on their PC before sending to their device and sharing with others.
Tyre Pro® allows motorcyclists to select the most exciting routes for every journey, from the fastest to the most scenic. Now, for the first time, bikers can set the number of miles they want to ride and plan their route around distance to create the best winding routes.
Other new features include:
· Motorcycle-friendly Points of Interest: to pre-plan a route via bike-friendly hotels, alpine passes and fuel stations.
· Smarter ‘advanced expanding’ technology to help avoid potential differences between a planned route on a PC and the actual route on a device.
· ‘Advanced Splitting’, to enable the biker to decide how to save the route on the device and specify how many waypoints are needed on each ride when the route file is too large.
Tyre Pro® is available for free for all consumers who purchase a TomTom Rider device from March 2014.
