Tornado Forecast for MCN Festival of Motorcycling
Twice World Superbike champion and one of the most charismatic racers of his generation, the ‘Texas Tornado’ will captain Team USA in the second annual Transatlantic Short-track trophy, as well as showing off his motocross skills and even putting in a few laps for the classic race bike parade!
This year’s event promises visitors the chance to see the latest 2016 machines, the chance to browse more retail stands, an expanded Club Zone, non-stop live action plus a brand new autojumble section, all for the new, lower price of £15. The stand-out attraction for most Festival-goers is the opportunity to test ride bikes from leading manufacturers around the Cambridgeshire roads – this is included in the ticket price. Advance ticket buyers not only save money on entry prices, but also get priority bookings for the test rides.
New for the 2016 event and hosted by Elk Promotions, who run successful autojumbles in the South of England, will be a great turn-out of stands and stalls selling everything from complete bikes, tools, new and used spares and plenty more great motorcycling finds. Autojumble spaces are still available for anyone in the mood for a garage clear-out; an 8×8 metre space costs just £40 for the whole weekend. Contact Elk promotions on 01797 344277 or email events@elkpromotions.co.uk for details.
The Classic Race Bike Parade makes a welcome return, showcasing world-class bikes from the golden age of British racing alongside cutting edge MotoGP machines.
Day tickets and camping packages are now on sale, with advance day tickets at £15 online, seniors (over 65) £11 and camping from at £30 per person. One child (under 15) goes free per paying adult.
