Winter-ready with the T.ur’s laminated touring kit
November 16, 2021
Featuring state-of-the-art technologies, premium materials, CE-Class AA approved levels of safety as well as a laminated, waterproof membrane, the T.ur ZERO range proves itself to be ready for the most demanding adventures.
T.ur’s first laminated all-weather touring kit tackles the cold season with the J-ZERO jacket and the P-ZERO trousers, designed to travel in the most hostile climates and studied in every detail to combine thermal comfort, wearability and CE-certified safety.
The outer layer is made from CORDURA®, with inserts in the super-strong SUPERFABRIC® material, and lined with an impermeable, breathable laminated membrane. T.ur also incorporated a range of handy details, such as the removable collar and Tucano Urbano’s patented HYDROSCUD® structure, which ensures that the garment is completely impermeable and at the same time guarantees the necessary levels of aeration for versatile use in all seasons. The removable under-layer – which can be worn separately – features THERMORE® Thermal Booster (170 gr) padding, which increases body temperature when winter begins to bite.
Safety is guaranteed by the CE17092-certified design, as well as the advanced CE Level 2 D3O® LP2 Pro elbow, shoulder and knee armour included as standard – granting the Class AA ranking. There are also CP1 D3O® CE protectors on the chest, an Aero 3D mesh pocket to fit the D3O® VIPER PRO CE back protector, and pockets on the hips.
The D3O® armour used is 40% more protective than the Level 2 CE-standard requires and is guaranteed in all climates including ambient, wet, hot and cold conditions, meaning T.ur riders can go anywhere and be confident they are well protected. Highly breathable with Tri-ventilation technology, the design of the D3O® LP2 Pro increases air passage and moisture flow from the body through the armour, so riders can stay cool in hot conditions. Thanks to the clever geometry of the armour, flexibility and fit have been optimised with soft, flexible materials with high shock absorbing properties, providing enhanced comfort so riders can keep their concentration on enjoying the ride.
There is also a whole host of details designed to ensure comfort during longer journeys, including the Safety&Support System, which allows the rider to position an elastic lumbar belt inside the jacket to improve the position of the back protector and share the weight of the jacket itself more evenly around the body.
Completing the winter equipment range are the CE-certified G-ZERO gloves, featuring a double-glove structure. The outer gloves have four fingers, with the fourth and fifth fingers joined together to ensure optimum thermal insulation and protection, while HDry® technology uses a patented procedure to glue the impermeable membrane to the external material to stop water from getting through, even when faced with the most extreme rainfall. The internal gloves have five fingers to ensure maximum dexterity are made with THERMORE® Thermal Booster (130 gr) padding.
The J-ZERO jacket is available in black/red (S-4XL) and dark grey/red (S-3XL), with RRP £529.99.
The P-ZERO trousers are available in black (S-4XL), with RRP £299.99.
