AGV Corsa The Valentino Rossi Double Face Helmet

The new Moto GP season starts!

At the official tests in Sepang Valentino Rossi amazed everyone with a brand new helmet for the first laps of 2014. As usual “The Doctor” showed no lack of originality and never ceases to surprise us with his ideas.

After the more conservative yellow and grey AGV Pista GP that he wore during last year’s Winter Tests to match the colour scheme of his bike until the final livery had been decided upon, the new helmet that was exclusively created for the Malaysia track is simply spectacular.

The designer, Aldo Drudi, included the famous Sun and Moon symbol Valentino carried during the 2013 World Championship Series. This time however, he inverted things by 180° with the front and rear apparently the same. From behind it looks as if Valentino’s face is peering out from behind a visor almost as if to taunt his adversaries.

By means of the message  “I have my eyes on you”, the Tavullia rider appears to be clearly stating his intention to get back in the game, reclaim his name as the best in the world and finally win his 10th World Championship title.

Exclusive Scoop! – Monster Energy logo on Vale’s replica 

For the first time we’ll see the logo of the world’s biggest energy drink on the chin guard and sides of his helmet. The unique and captivating M of Monster Energy is shown in lime green stylised flames with white shading around the edges. The AGV GT Veloce Achieves 5 Stars Sharp Rating

The AGV GT Veloce helmet achieves 5 stars in the SHARP rating system and becomes one of the 310 safest helmets in the world.

On 14 February, after 32 tests, the Safety Helmet and Assessment Rating Programme (SHARP) team awarded the  AGV GT Veloce helmet with the maximum score for safety: 5 stars.

The SHARP programme was started in 2007 by the UK Department of Transport, aiming to provide all motorcyclists  with an independent safety assessment regarding many of the helmets available on the market. The Department’s  research demonstrated that 50 lives could be saved each year if all motorcyclists wore helmets with high SHARP  scores.

The AGV GT Veloce has now rightly become one of the safest helmets worldwide.

This important recognition to the AGV GT Veloce was achieved thanks to the application of AGV’s revolutionary  design and engineering process “EXTREME STANDARD H “EXTREME STANDARD HELMETS”. This extremely innovati ELMETS” ve construction  system is based on the “Human Engineering” concept and applies a new design process, which starts from the  inner components that are in direct contact with the head and gradually moves to the outer shell. As a result, the  helmet is designed around the riders’ head, therefore providing maximum comfort, ergonomics, safety and  aerodynamics. X-1003: The New Flip-up Helmet Made of Composite Fibres is Now Available

Nolangroup Research and Development division is always looking for innovation and advanced solutions able to satisfy the more demanding motorcyclists. Here takes shape X-1003, the new flip-up helmet with a composite fibre shell. The light weight (only 1.500 grams for size M) is only the first feature which will win the most demanding touring riders’ favour. Sporty look and innovative design are the other characteristics making X-1003 the top helmet of the range.

X-1003 is available in three outer shell sizes (XXS-XS-S-M1 / M2-L / XL-XXL-XXXL) and the inner comfort padding, conceived with the best padding, is fully removable and washable. The new shape of the cheek pads offers excellent helmet stability and makes it comfortable for those who use glasses, thanks to the Eyewear Adaptive System. The removable neck roll completes the comfort of the new X-1003.

X-1003 has been conceived with the DUAL ACTION opening system. Positioned in the centre of the chin guard, it allows for easy, one-handed opening. The chin guard rotation movement with elliptical trajectorymakes it possible to keep the total size of the helmet’s front section to a minimum, when the chin guard is open.

The visor is ultra-wide and equipped with tool-free quick released mechanism. Moreover, it features the DOUBLE ACTION mechanism allowing the visor lock to prevent accidental visor opening at high speeds, or visor demisting at low speeds or stops by a minimum visor opening. The new birth in Suomy enlarges of new colours and of the possibility to be customized giving its users a wide range of cover colours.

The convertible helmet, because we have to speak about convertible and not about modular, 3logy entered in the legend marking a new way in the helmets’ world.

The tricarboco fiber joins the lightness and a high strength, the sunvisor peak, inner light fume visor and the great feature to be changed in a real full face helmet. This design will not be stocked at the Arai Europe warehouse!

Aldo Drudi is the designer of this HRC design, showing the Honda racing colours, the HRC logo and on both sides the famous Honda wings that are typical for the brand. There is an additional small logo on the chin piece used for photography that shows a serial number, the serial number will however not be used on the final version.
