Ventura Bike Pack System for Yamaha MT-10 and XSR900

Two of Yamaha’s most popular naked machines – the MT-10 and XSR900 – have been given the Ventura treatment, so owners can unlock their touring potential without messing with the bike’s minimalist looks or affecting weight, width and handling.

Stripped-out street bikes like the MT and XSR offer little concession to carrying luggage, with compact seats and subframes and few secure strapping points – the minimalist look also doesn’t really lend itself to bulky, hard luggage. Discreet, lightweight and with fuss-free fitting, the Ventura Bike Pack System is the ideal solution.

Combining the best features of soft and hard luggage, the Ventura System uses a sturdy rack-mount to hold the load safely and securely, and offers a choice of packs that are light, easy to handle off the bike and can be rolled up and stashed away when not in use.

It attaches using existing points on the sub-frame, it doesn’t add much weight or any width. The Pack’s unique ‘slide on, ride off’ fitment eliminates the need for straps or bungee cords, so it’s quick and easy to detach and reattach too.

Packs come in a variety of styles and sizes – from a 35 litre weekend bag, to a massive 102-litre touring combination – and come with carry handles and shoulder straps for easy use off the bike.

Both Pack and Rack can be removed in seconds, leaving only the discreet L-Brackets behind. The rider then has the option of fitting a pillion Grab Handle or a Sport Rack, designed for transporting small loads. Alternatively, the Brackets can be removed completely.

A typical system for a naked machine like the MT or XSR, including L-Brackets, Pack-Rack optional Grab-Handle and the 47-litre Mistral Pack (pictured) retails at £359.96 including VAT.

Ventura’s KTM performance pack

Stable, versatile, light & slim, Ventura’s Bike Pack System is the perfect carrying solution for the new breed of sporting adventure bikes, like KTM’s new 1290 Super Duke GT.

Combining superbike performance with a dual sport chassis and riding position, any luggage fitted to the GT has to be just as versatile.

The Ventura Bike Pack System has the best of both worlds: a sturdy rack-mounting system designed to hold the load safely and securely, and a range of bike packs that are light, easy to handle off the bike and can be easily rolled up and stashed away when not in use – much more convenient than hard plastic or alloy cases.

The Bike Pack’s unique ‘slide on, ride off’ fitment eliminates the need for straps or bungee cords and doesn’t use a fiddly lock and key system, so it’s quick and easy to remove and reload at stop-offs, and when the rider wants to explore the KTM’s performance.

When the journey ends, and for daily/commuting use, both Pack and Rack can be removed from the machine in seconds, leaving only the discrete L-Brackets behind. The rider then has the option of fitting either a pillion Grab Handle or a Sport Rack.

The unique rack mounting system attaches to existing points on the Duke’s subframe, for a straightforward fit. It doesn’t add much weight or any width, unlike most hard luggage mounting systems.

Packs come in a variety of styles and sizes – from a 35 litre weekend bag, to a massive 102-litre touring combination.

A typical system for the 1290 GT costs just £340.00, including L-Brackets, Pack Rack, Grab Handle and the Mistral Pack (pictured).

Carry on the R1 with Ventura

Ventura has added the latest YZF-R1 to it’s Bike Pack System fitment list. The motorcycle luggage specialist has developed solutions for all models of Yamaha’s flagship superbike, since the first generation appeared on the scene in 1998.

Although the latest incarnation of the R1 is designed to perform on track, its MotoGP-inspired electronic rider aids and modes, plus refined ergonomics, performance and handling, make it an equally enticing proposition for the journey to and from the circuit.

Ventura has always been a popular choice of luggage for superbike owners, because it is designed to fit around compact seat units and doesn’t require secure strapping points or increase the width of the machine.

Unlike other soft luggage options, Ventura’s system uses a mounting rack, which keeps the load stable, secure and carried well clear of the YZF’s tail unit and exhaust. It attaches using existing points on the sub-frame and doesn’t add significant weight.

The Pack’s unique ‘slide on, ride off’ fitment eliminates the need for straps or bungee cords, so it’s quick and easy to detach and reattach.

The Rack can also be removed in seconds, leaving only the discrete L-Brackets behind. The rider then has the option of fitting a pillion Grab Handle or a Sport Rack, suitable for transporting small loads.

Packs are available in a variety of styles and sizes – from a 35-litre weekend bag, to a massive 102-litre touring combination – and come with carry handles and shoulder straps for easy use off the bike.

A typical system for the 2015 R1 costs £327.00, including L-Brackets (£125), Pack Rack (£52) and a 47-litre Mistral I Pack (£150), as pictured. For further details and a full list of pack options, call Ventura on 01256 704909 or visit www.ventura-bike.co.uk

Ventura Packs Perform On BMW S1000 XR

Stable, versatile and adding minimal width and weight, Ventura’s Bike Pack System is the perfect match for BMW’s high performance S1000 XR.  Combining a superbike engine with a dual sport chassis and riding position, the XR has the potential to perform on the twisties as well as on motorways; luggage for the XR needs to be just as versatile. The Ventura Bike Pack System has the best of both worlds: a sturdy rack-mounting system designed to hold the load safely and securely, and a range of soft and semi-soft bags that are lightweight, easy to handle off the bike and can be easily rolled up and stashed away when not in use.  The Pack’s unique ‘slide on, ride off’ fitment eliminates the need for straps or bungee chords and doesn’t use a fiddly lock and key system, so it’s quick and easy to detach and reattach at stop-offs, and when the rider wants to try out the XR’s performance.

When the journey ends, both Pack and Rack can be removed from the machine in seconds, leaving only the discrete L-Brackets behind. The rider then has the option of fitting a pillion Grab Handle or a Sport Rack, designed for transporting smaller loads. The unique rack mounting system attaches to existing points on the S1000 XR’s sub-frame, so there’s no drilling or cutting, and no extra tubing, brackets or fixings needed. It doesn’t add weight or width, like hard luggage mounting systems can. Packs come in a variety of styles and sizes – from a 35 litre weekend bag, to a massive 102-litre touring Pack. A typical system for the BMW XR costs £327.00, including L-Brackets (£125), Pack Rack (£52) and a 47-litre Mistral I Pack (£150) as pictured. Three new luggage kits from Ventura

Kiwi luggage specialists Ventura have announced fitting kits for Honda’s new CB650F and updated VFR800F, as well as the Ducati Hyperstrada 820.

Ventura’s pack rack system has traditionally appealed to riders of sports bikes, because it combines the lightness of soft luggage with the stability of hard luggage, without increasing the width of the bike or affecting handling.

The system consists of three, easy-to-fit elements: L-Brackets, Rack and Pack. Bolt the tailor-made L-brackets to existing mounting points on the bike, slide on the Pack Rack, then clip your chosen Pack in place. When riding solo, the pack sits over the pillion seat to keep the weight closer to the bike’s centre of gravity, for a stable ride. When carrying a passenger, simply flip the bag round, so it sits on the rack.

Both the Pack and Rack can be removed in seconds, leaving only the discrete L-Brackets behind. An added bonus is that there’s no need for unreliable bungee cords that can snap, loosen or scratch/scuff bodywork.

Prices for the L-Brackets start at £116- for the Ducati; £125- for the Honda CB650F and £127- for the VFR800. Matching Pack Racks cost £52-. Prices for Bike-Packs start from £90- (the 47-litre Mistral 1 Pack pictured sells for £150-), all including VAT.

Ventura Bike Pack System For Yamaha MT-09

Discrete, lightweight and with fuss-free fitting, the Ventura Bike Pack System is ideal for street-styled bikes like Yamaha’s MT-09. Minimalist machines offer little concession to carrying luggage; often with compact seats, and no secure strapping points. The stripped-down look also doesn’t lend itself to bulky, hard luggage.
The Ventura system consists of three easy-to-fit elements: L-Brackets, Rack and Pack. Bolt the L-brackets to the bike’s existing mounting points, slide the Pack Rack on, then clip your chosen Pack in place. Job done. When riding solo, the pack sits over the pillion seat keeping the weight closer to the bike’s centre of gravity, for a stable ride. When carrying a passenger simply flip the bag round, so it sits on the rack. There’s no need for unreliable and potentially paintwork damaging straps/bungee chords, as the QL clips hold the Pack firmly in place, and the system is quick and easy to detach; both the Pack and Rack can be removed in seconds, leaving only the discrete L-Brackets – and the bike’s lean look – behind.
