MV Agusta’s Dragster Featured in Argylle

MV Agusta’s Dragster Featured in new Matthew Vaughn film, Argylle.

The Apple original film Argylle, in association with Marv, arrives in cinemas February 2.

MV Agusta is thrilled to announce the featuring of its wicked Dragster model in Argylle, the new Apple Original Film from Matthew Vaughn’s MARV Studios. The razor-witted, reality-bending, globe-encircling spy thriller from the twisted mind of director Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman films, Kick-Ass) arrives in theaters February 2, 2024, and features an all-star cast including Henry Cavill, Bryce Dallas Howard, Oscar winner Sam Rockwell, and the legendary Samuel L. Jackson.

MV Agusta’s Dragster is the smart rebel in our collection: inimitable, and with a unique personality. The curves of the fuel tank and headlight, the bobbed tail and the elegant wheels superbly frame the 800 cc, three-cylinder engine at the heart of the Dragster. Ready for action, bursting with exuberance and power, it simply was the perfect choice for an adrenaline-packed movie such as Argylle. The three-cylinder of the Dragster leaves you breathless thanks to its immediate and precise response to the twist of the throttle.

Timur Sardarov, MV Agusta Motor S.p.A. CEO, commented: “We can’t wait to see the movie! The fact that our stunning Dragster was chosen by the creators of Argylle to represent brutal elegance, unwavering style, and raw, ruthless power fills us with pride. No doubt that MV Agusta fans around the world will enjoy the movie just as much as we do.”

In Argylle, Bryce Dallas Howard plays Elly Conway, the reclusive author of a series of best-selling espionage novels, whose idea of bliss is a night at home with her cat, Alfie. But when the plots of Elly’s fictional books—which center on secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate—begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization, quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past. Accompanied by Aidan (Sam Rockwell), a cat-allergic spy, Elly (carrying Alfie in her backpack) races across the world to stay one step ahead of the killers as the line between her fictional world and her real one begins to blur.

MV Agusta Closes a Successful Year and Gears up Production in Schiranna

It’s been a year since the announcement of the strategic partnership between MV Agusta and PIERER Mobility AG. Joining Europe’s leading motorcycle group, MV Agusta tapped in on synergies, processes and strengths, immediately achieving incredible results. In the past 12 months, MV Agusta launched 5 staggering new models, the LXP Orioli the world’s first luxury all-terrain motorcycle, the iconic Superveloce 98, the wicked Brutale 1000 RR Assen, the limited edition Dragster RR SCS America and the super exclusive 6-units-only Superveloce Arsham, a true work of art.

Looking back at this extraordinary year, there are a number of milestones that are worth mentioning and celebrating:

New Production Line

The latest milestone is represented by the new production line through which MV Agusta is now stepping up its industrial operations. The new line will turn out up to one thousand bikes per month. The new line is located in MV Agusta’s historic factory in Schiranna, and features the most advanced technology in the field.

MV Agusta’s master craftsmen, still assembling every model by hand, will be seconded by a fully automated line management system for the handling, moving and correct positioning of the units along the 28 workstations, with a particular focus on ergonomics and safety. This represents the first major investment for MV Agusta in several years, as part of its new and ambitious industrial plan.

The initial production will be around 1.000 units per month, but the new line has a total capacity of 100 bikes per day, and plans are to gradually increase output to match demand.

Timur Sardarov, CEO, MV Agusta Motor S.p.A., said: “I am so excited about this new line launching right here, in our historic plant in Italy, while many other industries are delocalising or even stepping down production. All the efforts we’ve been putting in over the past couple of years are coming together and we are now seeing some very concrete results, with growing numbers and the increasing success of our latest models. This is not only an investment in our own operations, but also in this community and in our people.”

4-year Factory Warranty

Another crucial milestone was introduced in the first half of 2023, when MV Agusta launched a 4-year Factory Warranty for all model year 2023 bikes. This strategic decision reflects the brand’s dedication to a customer-centric approach. The extended warranty not only enhances the MV Agusta customer experience but also serves as a tangible testament to the company’s unwavering confidence in its fully Made-in-Italy motorcycles and the rigorous processes each bike undergoes.

24/7 Roadside Assistance

MV Agusta also offers a lifetime 24/7 roadside assistance, activated upon the purchase of any MV Agusta motorcycle, in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Spain, and the UK, with additional countries to follow. This comprehensive assistance package ensures that MV Agusta customers can fully enjoy the thrill of riding, with services ranging from on-the-spot repairs and towing to authorised dealers to technical assistance, transportation to the desired destination, and a variety of supplementary services such as replacement vehicles, repatriation of the vehicle from abroad, and accommodation. These initiatives underscore MV Agusta’s commitment to setting new industry standards and continuously elevating customer experience.

MV Agusta have also set the foundations for an incredible 2024.

Stronger and expanded dealer network

2024 will see the MV Agusta’s dealer network expand, with the target of 200 dealers active by mid-year with the focus on its most relevant markets. As an example, the home market of MV Agusta, Italy, will benefit from 21 official dealers in 2024 which will be supported by authorized service centres. Those will enable customers to have access to trained technicians to service and maintain their MV Agusta motorcycles. The dealer network will also be expanded in other markets, such as USA where more than 40 dealers will be active in 2024, Germany, UK, France, and more.

System integration

2024 will also see all integrations with the PIERER Mobility AG’s systems finalized. For all MV Agusta products to be distributed by KTM, a great number of integrations were needed: from logistic and inventory software to IT and dealer management tools. Those integrations will be finalized by the end of Q1 2024, reducing sensibly the delivery time for parts, motorcycles, services and resulting in a much-improved customer experience.

Reinforced customer-centric approach

MV Agusta aims to know each customer by name and with this goal in mind a series of initiatives will start taking place in 2024. An exciting example of it is represented by the reintroduction of factory tours. MV Agusta will in fact open thedoors to its only production plant in Italy. For existing customers and MV Agusta fans, in fact, it will be possible to visit the factory with tours that will be organized by MV Agusta official dealers. Such initiatives will provide the unique opportunity for MV Agusta customers to witness how every MV Agusta motorcycle in the world is hand-built in Italy and to get to know the people behind these engineering masterpieces.

New models coming

Throughout the course of 2024, MV Agusta fans will be delighted with new exciting models, such as the Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro, which was displayed at EICMA in its final development stage. More pieces of art on two wheels will be launched and more information will come in the upcoming months.

Luca Martin, MV Agusta Motor S.p.A. Board Member and COO, declared: “When we look back at the beginning of 2023 we are astonished by the number of changes, implementations, improvements that have been put in place during this first year working together with KTM. Was it all perfect? No. We always strive for perfection, and therefore we are proud of what has been done, but at the same time we are fully aware of what can be further improved.

We are fully aware that our customers have experienced challenges, such as the delay in parts delivery or the renewed dealer network which hasn’t had an optimal penetration in the territory. I want to take this opportunity to again let our customers and fans know that we listen to them, and every decision of ours is based on one unique goal: putting our customers at the centre of our attention.

When we decided to reboot the entire dealer network, we were aware that this would have created disruption at the beginning of the process, but we are also sure that such decision has taken MV Agusta on the right path to provide the best customer experience in the future. The dealer network will further expand in 2024, with an improved penetration, our product ambassadors and technicians at each single dealerships are being extensively trained and the selection process for business owners to work with MV Agusta is very strict. Customers are at the centre of our approach and to achieve that we have a lot to do.

Same goes regarding parts availability. The warehouse and system integration with PIERER Mobility AG has taken a considerable amount of time, causing temporary disruptions, but such process will be finalized in early 2024 and such challenges for our customers will end. I personally believe that transparency is the best way to create a healthy relationship with our customers and fans and therefore I wanted to take this opportunity to openly address the challenges that our customers have faced in 2023 and to thank them for their passion and love.”

Superveloce Arsham

The most exclusive collaboration in the motorcycle world.

MV Agusta and Daniel Arsham announce their collaboration in creating a super-exclusive limited series to 6 units of MV Agusta Superveloce: The Superveloce Arsham. The Italian luxury motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta and internationally acclaimed artist Daniel Arsham have joined forces for the creation of a dedicated super-exclusive limited series of Superveloce, presented to the world at Miami Art Basel on December 8th.

The MV Agusta Superveloce is MV Agusta’s most iconic motorcycle currently in production and its distinctive neo-retro design was chosen by the New York-based artis to create a true art piece using his iconic erosion technique.

Daniel Arsham is known for breaking the rules of academic artistry, a trait fully expressed in his signature “erosion” technique. Arsham’s avant-garde erosion method renders the concept of passing time through sculptures. Working in a multitude of disciplines, he creates and crystallizes ambiguous in-between spaces and situations, and stages what he refers to as future relics of the present. Always iconic, most of the objects that he fabricates refer to the late 20th century or millennial era, when technological obsolescence unprecedentedly accelerated along with the digital dematerialization of our world. While the present, the future and the past poetically collide in his intruiging yet playful visions between romanticism and pop art, Arsham also experiments with the timelessness of certain symbols and gestures across cultures.

The concept is astonishingly reminiscent of the intimate nature of the Superveloce itself: disturbingly attractive, avant-garde, incredibly iconic and high-tech yet with clear references to the great classics of motorcycling, MV Agusta’s Superveloce was a natural choice for this project. The series will be limited to only 6 units, this will also make this particular model a true rarity and an object of desire for passionate collectors.

Timur Sardarov, CEO, MV Agusta Motor S.p.A., said: “I am thrilled about this incredible collaboration with Daniel Arsham, an artist I truly admire and that has so much in common with MV Agusta in terms of values and philosophy. His works are amazingly inspiring, and together we will take our Motorcycle Art to the next level. ”

Daniel Arsham, said: “I was always fascinated by the automotive world. The design ethos of cars and motorcycles, always fits a particular era and they mark time through their design. The project on the Superveloce was the opportunity to explore a “moving sculpture”, a functional motorcycle that have been transformed into a sculpture, by adding crystal erosions and by applying a colour that is reminiscent of my other artworks and style. Together with MV Agusta we created everything on the bike, including the stand, overcoming engineering challenges and resulting in a new interpretation of Motorcycle Art.”

The 2024 KTM 990 Duke Hits The Bullseye With Sniper-like Accuracy

Heralding a massive leap forward for the KTM Naked range, the all-new KTM 990 DUKE takes aim directly at the coveted 1000 Naked bike segment, pulling no punches!

With 2024 marking 30 YEARS OF DUKE, the all-new KTM 990 DUKE slots into the line-up like a well-polished round in the chamber. In its quest to be the most performance-focused NAKED machine possible, the KTM 990 DUKE ticks all the right boxes mechanically, while deploying extreme new styling.

The KTM 990 DUKE makes its intentions perfectly clear. Apart from a blisteringly potent engine, an all-new chassis and swingarm design – not to mention updated ergonomics and technology – it now sizes up to larger capacity motorcycles in both displacement and proportions.

Side-on, the new design has been modelled around the concept of an explosion in a freeze-frame, harnessing extreme energy ready to be released. This new design is further enhanced by two colourway options; Black and Electric Orange – the latter being reminiscent of the Naked models of a bygone era, developed specifically to celebrate 30 YEARS OF DUKE.

At the face of it, predatory design meets reduced styling with its evolved LED headlight being a stand-out feature of the all-new KTM 990 DUKE. Constructed from a carefully chosen mix of materials, the new design ensures lighting stability in all road conditions. Position and daytime running lights are located on the profile of the headlight, which also auto-adjusts in intensity according to ambient light conditions thanks to a light sensor integrated into the dashboard.

Additionally, the KTM 990 DUKE is fitted with a Coming Home light function as standard. Here, the headlight will remain on after the ignition has been switched off, awarding the rider with a few seconds of light to open doors or for better visibility in the garage.

Power is taken care of by a dramatically updated version of the LC8c engine found in the KTM 890 DUKE R. Boasting 947 cc, the roaring heart of the KTM 990 DUKE receives new pistons, crankshaft and conrod, producing a fire-breathing 123 HP and 103 Nm, with a total motorcycle weight of only 179 kg, ready to ride.

The KTM 990 DUKE takes its DNA from the long lineage of hard-hitting DUKE models that have come before it, adding more verve and aggression for 2024. It is a performance-oriented machine at its core, designed around a lightweight, flickable chassis that inspires utmost rider confidence.

In typical DUKE fashion, a stiff trellis frame and a new closed-lattice swingarm come together to welcome high-quality adjustable WP APEX Suspension components. These, together with track-proven Bridgestone S22 tyres, provide SNIPER-like accuracy when it comes to cornering stability.

The WP APEX Suspension fitted to the KTM 990 DUKE features easy-to-adjust settings, encouraging the rider to push the limits comfortably. Upfront, the 43 mm WP APEX Suspension can be easily and accurately dialed in with 5 clicks on both rebound and compression. On the rear, the WP APEX Monotube shock absorber can be adjusted in 5-clicks, with manual preload adjustment also possible.

Once seated, riders are greeted by a 5-inch, anti-scratch bonded glass dashboard providing all the information a KTM 990 DUKE pilot could need. Revised graphics and menu structures are designed for faster, more intuitive access to the various features of the KTM 990 DUKE. This includes a new function that displays Lean Angle data, with an optional TRACK Mode complete with lap timer and telemetry stats. A USB-C connection is also added for device charging duties.

In short, the brief was simple; develop the ultimate mid-class NAKED machine. In achieving this, the 2024 KTM 990 DUKE hits the mark dead centre.

A full range of specially developed KTM PowerParts and KTM PowerWear are available for riders to personalise their motorcycles and get themselves kitted up in READY TO RACE performance.

The 2024 KTM 990 DUKE will be available from Authorised KTM Dealers from February 2024 onwards, for £12,999 OTR.

MV Agusta LXP Orioli

There is no greater or rarer luxury than the total freedom to travel, explore and experience without setting any limits. MV Agusta celebrates this concept by presenting the world’s first luxury all-terrain motorcycle – the LXP Orioli.

Produced as a limited run of just 500, this new model is a tribute to Italian motorcycling legend Edi Orioli who, wearing the iconic Lucky Explorer colors of green, red, and white, became a symbol of adventure riding in the 1990s, dominating the world rally scene. As well as being numbered, every motorcycle produced will be personally signed by Edi Orioli, making each a unique piece to ride and collect.

The LXP Orioli positions in the luxury motorcycle segment for its equipment, technical features, choice of materials and attention to detail, ensuring the utmost comfort and first-rate performance both on and off-road.

Engine
The engine is the new 931 cc three-cylinder, developed entirely in Varese. Development was guided by the vocation of a model like the LXP Orioli, which must offer outstanding performance and adapt to a wide variety of riding contexts. The new three-cylinder is powerful, rich in torque, versatile in delivery and particularly lightweight at just 57 kg, which makes it 10% lighter on average than its direct competition. In its standard version, the engine delivers 124 hp at 10,000 rpm and

102 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm; specific power is 133 hp/liter and 85% of the torque is already available at just 3,000 rpm.
The crankcase and lubrication and cooling systems are completely new, while significant changes have been made to the crank gear, ignition – now even more robust – and the gearbox, which is extractable. The timing system flaunts a double overhead camshaft design, and the cams are DLC coated, a feature typical of sports bikes. The engine is liquid-cooled, and the crankshaft is counter-rotating, a technical solution that is unique in its category and for which the MV Agusta three-cylinders have always stood out, ever since the presentation of the first 675 cc model. This translates into vastly improved riding, the reduced inertia facilitating the changes of direction. Vibration has been further reduced with the countershaft, while the hydraulic clutch ensures smooth operation even in extreme riding conditions. The exhaust system is designed and developed to optimize the performance of the 950 engine and intensify the aggressive sound.

Electronics
The LXP Orioli can count on a particularly advanced 6-axis inertial platform, which interfaces with the on-board electronics, comprising the engine control unit complete with high-frequency processor. The Full Ride by Wire is based on torque management strategies, while the available maps – Urban, Touring, Off-Road and Custom All-Terrain – are specifically developed to ensure appropriate delivery and ideal adjustment of the electronic controls in different conditions of use. Traction control, which can be disabled, boasts five levels of intervention for road use, two for off-road use and a Rain mode to guarantee maximum safety even in adverse riding conditions. The engine brake offers two levels, which can be adjusted independently from the selected Riding Mode: level 1 is with reduced engine brake, level 2 is with full engine brake.

As well as ensuring a high level of safety through the turns, the Cornering ABS incorporates RLM (Rear Wheel Lift-Up Mitigation), with a strategy that is unique in its category, as well as other off-road-specific functions, such as the option to deactivate it fully or only at the rear wheel.
The ABS system has also been specifically developed to operate efficiently with both knobby and road tires.

The cutting-edge technology extends to the twist grip that, as with the entire three-cylinder range, is complete with counter rotation. This is important in order to heighten feeling and guarantee the smooth disabling of cruise control. The latter can be set by speed increments or decrements of 1 km/h or 5 km/h at a time. The key management system is fully Keyless.

In terms of its quality and comprehensiveness, the instrumentation is inspired by the world of premium cars, with its extensive options for connection via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, the HD resolution of the 7” color TFT panel and its adjustable brightness. There are two graphics to choose between, depending on personal preference. Common to the entire range, the MV Ride app allows the rider to connect a smartphone, set up turn-by-turn navigation, save itineraries and riding data, and share this data with other users in the community. The MV Ride app even allows the user to program their LXP Orioli via smartphone before they start the engine. And the Mobisat anti-theft device with integrated geolocation comes as standard on the LXP Orioli.

Standard equipment aboard the LXP Orioli also includes full LED front and rear lighting for perfect visibility in all conditions. To further improve the user experience, the handlebar controls are backlit with LED lights.

Chassis
The LXP Orioli flaunts the iconic perimeter frame, produced in an alloy that is lighter thanks to the optimization of thicknesses, with removable rear sub-frame. The closed double cradle design with optimized stiffness values offers the ideal balance in different situations, whether this is two-up road touring or pure off-roading. The aluminum alloy swing-arm is chill-cast. The Sachs fork is fully adjustable in compression, rebound, and spring preload, for wheel travel of 210 mm, while the adjustable Sachs mono shock guarantees travel of 210 mm and is connected to the suspension with a progressive link system.

The seat is height-adjustable according to two positions (850 mm and 870 mm), adapting to different contexts and riders. Both the form and material of the padding have been developed to ensure comfort and support, on and off-road. Thanks to advanced manufacturing techniques, the external cover guarantees comfort, durability, and impermeability in the most extreme riding conditions.

A good 230 mm of ground clearance helps the rider tackle the hidden dangers of off-road riding. The wheelbase is 1,610 mm, while the wheel diameters are typical of an enduro bike with off-road vocation, 21” at the front and 18” at the rear. The motorcycle is homologated for use with Bridgestone tires, both road and knobby.
The brakes are supplied by Brembo, with Stylema front calipers on 320 mm discs and a two-piston caliper with 265 mm disc at the rear.

Aerodynamic research has allowed for the creation of a ‘calm zone’ around the rider and passenger that protects against any bothersome turbulence, for an even more comfortable journey. Ergonomics were prioritized right from the start with the LXP project, the contact points (footpegs, handlebar and seat) studied to ensure all the comfort the rider and passenger require for long-range travel, even with luggage, and provide the off-road efficiency needed to control the bike in more critical situations, when the rider’s knees help to control the vehicle for example.

Equipment
The LXP Orioli stands out for its crash bars, aluminum engine guard and additional lights, equipment that adds significant value during everyday use, whether on or off-road, while boosting the bike’s overall rally aesthetic. Offering excellent performance on all types of terrain, the LXP Orioli mounts the off-road-inspired Bridgestone Battlax AX41 tires as standard, while the Bridgestone Battlax A41 tires are homologated for pure road use. The tubeless rims, directly derived from the world of hard-enduro, are complete with machined-from-solid hubs. The comprehensive range of standard equipment aboard the LXP Orioli is rounded out with MV Agusta-branded rigid aluminum side cases, which also accentuate the bike’s luxury adventure spirit. With a capacity of 39 l and 32 l (exhaust side), the cases feature the rapid-release and push block systems.
The LXP Orioli comes with a kit containing the homologated titanium exhaust, co-designed and developed by MV Agusta and Termignoni, which is paired with a carbon fiber end cap and heat shield for a total weight saving of more than 4 kg.
Presented in a special box, the kit also contains the motorcycle cover and certificate of authenticity.

Style
The LXP Orioli was born in the historic CRC style center, owned by MV Agusta and based in San Marino, where the best designers in the sector have been creating some of the world’s most beautiful bikes for decades.
The LXP Orioli stands out for its elegant Pearl White colorway that adorns the fairings and front fender, while select details flaunt the colors of the historic sponsor with which Edi Orioli dominated the rallying scene in the 90s.
The central section of the bike is in Carbon-Metallic Black, as is most of the seat, though the white of the fairings makes an appearance on the sides.

The 500 units of the LXP Orioli will start to be delivered to customers starting from the end of first quarter 2024.

MV Ride app
Like all MV Agusta motorcycles, the LXP Orioli incorporates the free MV Ride app, which has been significantly revised and updated to make it even more efficient and advanced in terms of connectivity. It is now possible to enter a destination and view turn-by-turn directions on the color TFT display, while data acquisition is always operational when on the move. The experience begins before the engine is even switched on and can be relived at the end of the journey, enabling the rider to view acceleration, speed, lean angle, and throttle activity data. The user can add to the experience by uploading photos of their day to share with other users of the MV Ride app. The various MV Ride app options include the possibility to customize the vehicle response via the Custom map, which can be renamed as desired and even shared with other users of the ecosystem. It is, for example, possible to create a “Tuscany” map that can then be shared with other motorcyclists, thereby creating a community. Anti-theft geolocation is included free of charge for the first year.

MV Agusta Superveloce 98 Edizione Limitata

In the early 1940s, the war was making life very hard for everyone in Italy, starting with everyday activities.

Getting around, for example, was difficult and costly, given an essential absence of public transport. And this is why Domenico Agusta, having taken over the family business in 1927 following the death of his father Giovanni, turned to motorcycles, believing that this might be a way to simplify mobility and guarantee himself and his employees a future at the Officine Aeronautiche Giovanni Agusta.

The first MV Agusta engine came into being in 1943. A 98 cc single-cylinder, it made use of a lubricated two-speed gearbox. Light and compact, it immediately went into production but occupation of the factory, in September 1943, brought all activity to a halt just a few weeks later. The project was shelved until just after the war when, the hostilities over, assembly of the complete motorcycle could resume. On its debut, the MV 98 was ‘dressed’ in an elegant shade of burgundy.

It is difficult to imagine the reasons behind such an unusual colour choice – perhaps relating to Giovanni Agusta’s aristocratic roots, that his son wanted to honour, or simply a flash of inspiration, a matter of personal taste. The burgundy colour scheme nevertheless added a significant touch of elegance to a motorcycle that was ready to take on the devastated streets of that time.

Today, eighty years after the birth of the first MV Agusta engine, the “98” signature reappears on the fairings of another MV Agusta motorcycle. Produced in just 300 numbered units, the Superveloce 98 Edizione Limitata is immediately recognisable thanks to its “Rosso Verghera” colour scheme. Directly inspired by the original colour palette, Rosso Verghera is a sophisticated and very high-quality product, the formula of which was developed at an experimental level in the CRC research centre and then industrialised exclusively for MV Agusta. Applied by hand in multiple phases, the colour comprises a two-component matte base paired with a polished layer for a finish that magnifies the metallic pigments. A tribute to a tale of success, courage, and initiative that could never have been written without the design of the 98 engine, back in 1943.

The “98 Edizione Limitata” signature is positioned laterally on the tail section as well as on the upper part. It is flanked by the Italian flag, which highlights the quintessential “Made in Italy” origins of every MV Agusta, built without exception in the factory in Schiranna, on the banks of Varese Lake. Reference to the size of the historic engine designed in 1943 and the limited-edition status of the motorcycle is also flaunted on the steering plate, thanks to laser engraving technology, and highlighted on the certificate of authenticity, delivered together with the motorcycle.

The racing vocation of the Superveloce has been important ever since the model’s launch and is emphasised on the Superveloce 98 Edizione Limitata by way of a dedicated kit. A burgundy-coloured box contains the tail cover, dedicated motorcycle cover, aforementioned certificate of authenticity and two refined parts, or rather the Arrow triple-exit exhaust, for exclusive track use (in North America not included but available as Technical Accessory), and the dedicated racing ECU, perfect for extracting maximum performance from the Italian three-cylinder engine.

The engine in question is the iconic 798 cc inline three. Powerful (147 hp), compact and extremely lightweight, it contributes to keeping the dry weight of the motorcycle down to just 173 kg, or as little as 165 kg with the racing kit. Many technical characteristics ensure that this engine is an example of efficiency and performance, not least the counter-rotating crankshaft, cams with DLC coating to reduce friction and heighten performance, titanium valves, and bearings and rods developed to reduce mechanical losses.

The technical excellence of the Superveloce 98 Edizione Limitata is guaranteed by its comprehensive equipment, including spoked wheels with a gold finish, an optimised and more lightweight braking system complete with Brembo PR 16/19 radial master cylinder and M4.30 Stylema front callipers, and the support of the recalibrated Continental MK100 ABS. This, in addition to Ride by Wire that is improved thanks to the negative throttle rotation; the 5.5” colour TFT instrument panel, highly customisable and connected to the smartphone; high-performance Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tyres, and Mobisat anti-theft satellite positioning system.

Only 300 units of the Superveloce 98 Edizione Limitata will be made available, most of which have already been ordered by the brand’s most loyal collectors.

80 Years of The MV 98cc Engine

MV Agusta celebrates 80 years of production of the first 98 engine, the small power unit that set the legend that is MV in motion.

The history of the first MV engine, the 98, is closely tied to the tumultuous but also inspiring events of the post-war period in Italy. The global conflict was long and devastating, and left a country in tatters, with cities razed to the ground, infrastructure compromised, and industrial production on its knees. It was in this scenario, enough to dishearten anybody, that Domenico Agusta set out on the adventure that was Meccanica Verghera, the embryo to the glorious MV Agusta.

Let’s first take a step back, to the war years. By 1943 it was clear that the war would be lost and that the production of airplanes for use during the conflict would soon come to an end. What would become of “Costruzioni Aeronautiche Giovanni Agusta”, the company that Domenico Agusta had taken over in 1927 after its founder, Count Giovanni Agusta, died at 48? Without planes to build, collapse appeared inevitable. What could they do? Producing cars was a first option, but millions of Italians were lacking even the basic resources to live a dignified life and so were clearly not able to purchase what was a luxury item at the time. And motorcycles? Much more affordable, they could represent an interesting emerging market for the aeronautical firm. This was the motivation that pushed Count Agusta to develop an engine that would allow him to explore this business opportunity.

In August 1943, the engine for motorcycle use was ready for mass production, designed and studied in its every detail so that the models needed for the fusion of the individual parts could be created. The decision was to concentrate on an engine that was simple, cheap, reliable and easy to maintain – a 98 cc single-cylinder two-stroke with three-port timing, primary gear transmission, and a single unit engine case integrating both the clutch and transmission assembly in an oil bath. A simple solution that would allow for inexpensive, large-scale production.

In September 1943, however, German troops occupied the Agusta factory, putting a stop to production. All the models and designs of the first 98 engine had fortunately been hidden in the homes and basements of the most trusted technicians and engineers just a few weeks prior to guard against theft by the army.

The designs and models of the 98 engine remained concealed for several months before being retrieved towards the middle of the following year, when production finally resumed. One year on, and the first MV (Meccanica Verghera) branded motorcycle, the MV 98, was born.

With a design that, like those of the first prototypes, was finalized just prior to the invasion, 80 years ago, the 98 engine was the point of departure for a glorious tale of passion, success, performance and style.

Just 98 cc: this was enough to ignite a passion that, over a period of 80 years, has carried the genuine Made in Italy to the top of the world more often than anybody else, has created masterpieces in the form of motorcycles, and has sparked the dreams of so many, across the generations, who share a passion for design, mechanics and beauty.

100 dealers, 4 year factory warranty and one special edition launched: The superb first half of 2023 for MV Agusta.

The sixth month of the partnership between MV Agusta and PIERER Mobility AG has just concluded closing the first successful period of a collaboration that is already bringing the Schiranna-based brand to the height to which it belongs.

100 Dealers
The MV Agusta distribution network, which is being re-established with the target of opening 180 selected retail stores within the end of 2023, has reached the 100th business partner at the very beginning of July, perfectly on target with the objectives set by the board.

MV Agusta dealerships are being appointed worldwide among the best already-existing MV dealerships, the best selected PIERER Mobility AG retailers and business partners coming from the premium automotive industry.

Enhanced customer care: 4-year warranty and 24/7 roadside assistance
The first half of 2023 saw a crucial milestone for MV Agusta being set: a 4-year factory warranty is now provided on all model year 2023 bikes. Such a strategic decision represents a further step ahead towards the customer-centric approach that the Schiranna-based brand is implementing in every aspect of the business. The 4-year warranty comes not only as a plus to MV Agusta customers, but it is also a clear proof of the trust that the company has in its fully Made-in-Italy motorcycles, and in the processes that each bike goes through before being sent to their customers.

On top of that, allowing owners to focus only on the pleasure of riding their MV Agustas, in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Spain and UK (more countries to follow), MV Agusta provides a service activated lifetime 24/7 roadside assistance included in the purchase of any MV Agusta motorcycle.
Customers, in case of an issue, are looked after through repair on the spot, towing to an authorised MV Agusta dealer/service point, technical assistance, transportation to destination and many other services such as replacement vehicle, repatriation of the vehicle from abroad, accommodation etc.

The icing on the cake: the Dragster RR SCS America
The icing on the cake of the first six months of 2023 for MV Agusta, is represented by the launch of a new exclusive limited edition: The Dragster RR SCS America edition.
Marking the 50th anniversary of the launch of the iconic 750 S, which flaunted the colours of the American flag, this latest 300-units America edition pays homage to a bloodline of red, white and blue MV Agusta motorcycles that have celebrated, in the last five decades, the importance of MV’s most relevant market.

Available only for the North American market, the Dragster RR SCS America, has already generated unbelievable interest.

VIP Customers were, in fact, given the opportunity of previewing the model before the public reveal and, at the moment of the launch, most of the units were already allocated, further proving how MV Agusta is considered as more than just a motorcycle brand by enthusiasts and collectors.

Luca Martin (COO and Board Member – MV Agusta Motor S.p.A.) “With the purchase of an MV Agusta, customers enter a brand that stands for the highest quality and attention to detail combined with the superb customer-centric approach of our renewed dealer network. I am proud of what we have been able to achieve in the first half of 2023, and I must credit the team in Varese for their commitment and for how well everyone has been able to work together with our new partner, PIERER Mobility AG. These initial results are just a taste of what the future of MV Agusta will look like.”

MV Agusta Dragster RR SCS America

The “America” versions of MV Agusta pay tribute to the United States, the land of the free, adventure, epic journeys. And, naturally, racing.

1973 saw the launch of the iconic 750S, which flaunted the colours of the American flag to highlight the importance of this specific market. Many years later, in 2004, the “America” name became associated with another model, the Brutale 750. This motorcycle created the sports naked segment. 2012 saw another four-cylinder steal the scene: the Brutale 1090 RR America. This model was the most powerful naked ever produced by MV Agusta up to that point.

Five years later, in 2017, a new platform was introduced which gave birth to the three-cylinder Brutale 800 RR America which stood out for its combination of design, performance, and engine technology. This model was followed, in 2018, by the Dragster 800 RR America, an exclusive limited edition model of only 200 units.

Today, in 2023, MV Agusta celebrates its most important market with a new, exclusive 300-unit edition of the new Dragster RR SCS America. This uniquely numbered special edition model, available only in North America, is part of the strategic vision and emphasis of this market for the future of MV Agusta.

This new Special Edition stands out for its dedicated colour scheme that, like its predecessors, recalls the colours of the US flag and is enhanced with a dedicated seat with hand-stitched “America Special Edition” wording.

The attention to detail can be seen in the aerodynamic carbon-fiber wheel cover, complete with dedicated colour scheme, as well as on the fuel tank. The individual series number – from 001 to 300 – is laser-engraved on the top triple clamp.

The accompanying Special Parts Kit includes the transparent SCS clutch cover, dedicated motorcycle cover and a certificate of authenticity. Standing out among the special parts available as accessories is the Akrapovič titanium sports exhaust with dedicated ECU, which allows for an increase in maximum power to 148 hp at 12,800 rpm, further emphasizing the motorcycle’s aggressive character.

Based on the renowned Dragster RR SCS, this unique motorcycle combines exciting performance with premium technical components, including the SCS automatic clutch developed in collaboration with Rekluse.

The Dragster RR SCS America combines extreme attention to detail, with the technical base of a super sports bike. The compact and powerful in-line-three engine coupled with the afore mentioned SCS 3.0 clutch, which eliminates the need for the clutch lever, and the MotoGP-derived counter-rotating crankshaft and removable gearbox, are solutions that can only be found on MV Agusta models.

The electronic Ride By Wire twist grip includes counter rotation, which was only recently introduced to the range, and improves control and feeling mid-turn and makes for a more progressive cruise control deactivation. The advanced 6-axes inertial platform allows the rider to fully exploit the traction control, front-lift control and ABS with cornering function.

The 8-level adjustable steering damper adds to the dynamics and safety of the Dragster RR SCS America, even at high speeds. The braking system is designed to ensure extremely powerful and safe deceleration thanks to the dual 320 mm front brake discs with four-piston Brembo radial callipers.

The 5.5” TFT display is very easy to read in all light conditions and benefits from updated software.

The dashboard interfaces with the revolutionary MV Ride App offering a variety of customisation and connectivity features. Lastly, the Mobisat anti-theft system with geolocation offers all Dragster RR SCS America’s owners piece of mind knowing that their Motorcycle Art will always be very well looked after.

The Dragster RR SCS America will be available exclusively at select MV Agusta dealerships across North America, starting from 11th July.

MV Agusta returns in its distinctively sophisticated style at FuoriConcorso, one of the world’s most exclusive automotive events, which takes place at Lake Como: a celebration of style, craftsmanship, innovation and excellence. This year, MV Agusta will be the only motorcycle brand present at the event offering bike enthusiasts an exclusive preview of the stunning Superveloce 1000, with racing legend Giacomo Agostini sharing personal insights and anecdotes on the past, present and future of MV Agusta.

The exclusive presentation will take place on Saturday May 20th from 10.00 AM to 12.00 AM in the scenic setting of 17th Century Villa del Grumello. Alongside the futuristic lines of the Superveloce 1000, visitors will have the opportunity of admiring the iconic lines of the historic, and incredibly rare, MV Agusta 500cc 4-cylinder 72/74, which will be on display for the entire weekend. The 500 72/74 is considered, with good reason, the mother of all racing bikes, as it inspired the aerodynamic solutions visible today on all MotoGP motorcycles, and it was also the main source of inspiration for the design of the Superveloce 1000.

This year’s FuoriConcorso’s theme focuses on aerodynamic and, therefore, it is not a coincidence that MV Agusta chose to bring the 500 72/74, courtesy of the Elli collection, to the event. Through the display of each exhibiting brand at “FuoriConcorso Aero”, visitors will be immersed in the evolution of automotive aerodynamics, with the opportunity of admiring some of the most iconic vehicles ever designed that contributed to the development and advancement of today’s, as well as tomorrow’s, aerodynamic solutions.

MV Agusta will once again stand out as an icon of unrivalled elegance and as a symbol of speed, cutting-edge technology and style, embodying the idea of an “aristocracy“ of racing that makes every single MV Agusta a shining example of “Motorcycle Art”.

It was also very important for the future of our company: it was the year of our great comeback, amidst all the difficulties everyone in our industry had to face. Yet we were able to stay the course, open the throttle and gain momentum. We started by tackling the longstanding issue of the “concordato”, settling all outstanding debt with creditors ahead of time; then we accelerated, concentrating on our new models. All were received with enthusiasm by fans and critics alike; Then we got out of our comfort zone and created a new e-mobility division, with a line of incredible electric vehicles, and won the bet; We went even further and found synergies with the fashion universe, creating a new collection of streetwear apparel and collaborating in art projects; We kept expanding our dealers network, further improving the standards of post-sale service and assistance; We will shortly announce the official opening of our flagship store here in Milan; Finally we set on an inner journey of exploration and rediscovery of our heritage, and found an intact and untamed spirit of adventure that we had never lost. We then embarked on a wild project, which has already won the hearts of thousands around the world: of those who haven’t forgotten were we come from, but also those who are too young to remember. NEW MODELS
F3 RR
The new F3 RR introduces a significant evolution on a successful project, since its launch,  in terms of first-class technology, on-road and on-track effectiveness with design and engine evolutions. The redesign of the frame plates, with particular focus on the swingarm area, has led to an increase in torsional and longitudinal rigidity.

The147hp engine retains its powerful character and adds advanced crankshaft main and connectingrod bearings to reduce friction. Moreover, the redesigned countershaft contributes to reduce inertia and further enhance reliability.

The exhaust system has been entirely revamped to augment the power and torque curves while meeting Euro5 emissions standards. The F3 RR has undergone a specific in-depth aerodynamic study, with the goal to improve the dynamic behavior of the whole bike. The wings, positioned on the sides of the fairing, are made of forged carbon and are capable of producing a load of 8 kg on the front end at 240 km/h coupled with the advanced carbon fiber air intake. Among other refined  elements: a higher windshield and new aerodynamic front fender which enhances the airflow to the radiators.

Brutale 1000 RS
Based on the Brutale 1000 RR engine, frame and single-sided swingarm, the RS now becomes more affordable, thanks to dedicated Marzocchi fork and Sachs shock absorber. The focus is to improve comfort while extending its spectrum of use as well. The seat has specific, more comfortable padding; the handlebars have been raised and the footpeg position has been developed in order to make the riding position less extreme with respect to that of the RR. What’s more, engine and electronics follow the evolutionary path of the RR, with a continuous refinements that improve reliability, efficiency and functionality in whatever use condition.

Brutale 1000 RR

Brutale RR 1000 Nürburgring
The foolish idea of designing the most extreme 4-cylinder Brutale ever took life in the midst of the hellish corners of the most famous circuit in the world, precisely the North ring of the Nürburgring, the famous Nordschleife. Developed in partnership with the renowned German racetrack, the new Brutale RR 1000 Nürburgring comes in a specific metallic silver base which perfectly contrasts with Nürburgring red brushstrokes. More power and less weight were the only project goals. This was achieved with latest generation BTS carbon fibre  wheels combined with CNC-machined hub. The result? A spectacular bike agility. The special kit available for each model includes the dominating full titanium exhaust system, an offshoot of MV’s experience in SBK and built in collaboration with Arrow. To increase the downforce on the front end an exclusive wing has been added and located just above the headlight for maximum efficiency. The new MV Agusta Brutale goes on sale in limited and numbered edition of 150 units only and is immediately recognizable also from the dedicated plate embellishing the steering plate.

e-mobility
The same passion inspiring the out-of-the-ordinary performance of every single MV Agusta motorcycle concentrates in an unprecedented expression of the e-mobility project. AMO RC Pinion is at the top of the MV Agusta e-bike range. It embodies the essence of e-mobility concept, as an alternative key to the racing spirit brought in everyday life. A 9-speed version of the gearbox with Pinion technology makes this vehicle even more enjoyable and versatile, rewarding with smooth shifting and at the same time offering maximum transmission durability and reliability.

On the list there is also the EVO concept, which represents the link between MV Agusta motorcycles and e-bikes, thanks to its ability to get the most out of these two planets. Its structure focuses in particular on the carbon fibre monocoque frame and single-sided support for the rear wheel and brake system. MV Agusta Lucky Explorer Project 5.5 & 9.5

tracks from the car in Arabian desert in Egypt

December 26th, 1978. That day marked the genesis of one of the most fascinating and dangerous adventures ever: the Paris-Dakar. Famous rally race crossing the Sahara Desert and born from the irreverent and visionary mind of Thierry Sabine. After its founder’s death in 1986 in the middle of unforgiving Ténéré region, the race has become the test bed for outstanding performance bikes, capable of travelling the desert tracks at insane speeds.

The Elefant model in its Lucky Explorer livery is probably the most celebrated icon of that historic desert raid. From the very first sketches, the evocative power of the Elefant, dominating twice the final destination of Lac Rose in Dakar, has inspired many designers, committed to recreating, in a modern key, that magic feeling of motorcycles recognised as the emblem of the eternal struggle between the crudeness of nature and man. Rock, sand, gasoline and courage: a bunch of crucial elements on which those epic races were based. The “void” embraced full throttle. Looking for the right track, the one that truly makes the difference between a stage victory and an out-of-time arrival at base camp.

It is not just about motorbikes. It’s about a comprehensive ecosystem, which is not only made up of evocative sensations but also deserves off-road effectiveness and skill.

MORE THAN A PROJECT
November 2021. MV Agusta launches the Lucky Explorer Project, a multi-faceted initiative aiming at gathering the passionate lovers of rally raid and off-road racing around Schiranna’s unforgettable legacy of epic participations and victories in the great African rallies of the golden age.

That same spirit of adventure and freedom is the foundation of this ambitious teaser communication project which will be initially developed through digital communication activities followed by others in the real-life world to finally back up the launch of two new adventure bikes.

The Lucky Explorer Project is not just a cold yet smart marketing project. It represents the ultimate character of the Company to express its sentiments in the motorcycle business, revamping deeply the passion, the emotions, the values, the style, the gestures of men and bikes who made the history of racing in the desert. It’s more than a project.

The Lucky Explorer Project has been conceived to create a communication platform to support the launch of two brand new adventure bikes, creating anticipation and thrill, thus:

  • Revampingthe Lucky Explorer racing heritage
  • Telling the storyand spread the culture of the great African rallies
  • Buildingan adventure, off-road enthusiast community
  • Involving and engagingparticipants in online and offline actions

Lucky Explorer Project is not just about bikes, it’s about a comprehensive world of emotions, memories, values and a way of being. A long-awaited return for all the fans of Made-in-Schiranna, but also a new beginning and a leap into the future.

The project will be developed on the website www.luckyexplorerproject.com and through the Instagram channel @ luckyexplorer.official already online. Riders, personalities, clips and anecdotes, historical factory tours, vintage advertising, videos, memorabilia, new content and events will bring together a real community of enthusiasts. And Lucky Explorer ambassadors will turn up, with access to special content and exclusive previews.

The new 5.5 and 9.5 adventure bikes offer a concrete yet suggestive perspective in an increasingly crowded competitive arena, focused on riding efficiency and stylistic charm, as well as on advanced technical solutions.

Both projects represent the modern interpretation of the desert race’s myth, which appealed the imagination of the Motorsport world since the mid-Eighties, conquering tons of enthusiasts in the continuous search for brand-new and thrilling adventures.

The 9.5 project represents the synthesis of a tireless design and development work that for many months has been aimed at creating a unique bike capable of offering breathless riding experience and user-friendly approach, without forgetting first-rate performance and charm. Compared to many of its main challengers, the 9.5 boasts an unprecedented off-road attitude, thanks to a bespoke chassis formula, starting with the wheel diameter: 21” at the front and 18” at the rear, together with 1,580 mm wheelbase.

The primary goals of the project? Designing a motorcycle that is first and foremost compact, lightweight, essential and functional, with an intense off-road character. On top of this, out-of-the-ordinary versatility married to ability to move effectively and safely in whatever condition, from smooth asphalt to rocky terrain. With the aim to make this exclusive machine even more intuitive and easy to handle the saddle results adjustable in height.

Originally, on the historic Elefant model, at centre-stage in the Dakar races, the Lucky Explorer logo was immediately recognisable, even from a distance, to the point of characterising the whole bike and emphasising its racing-oriented personality. Today, on both new models that logo blooms again thanks to the graphic and set-up winning choices.

5.5
The 5.5 version, developed in close collaboration with our partner QJ, is a new adventure bike inspired by the heritage of the Elefant. Despite being a mid-sized bike, its appearance is that of a higher displacement travel-oriented motorcycle, capable of seducing European riders looking for a sturdy and unstoppable companion.

Such close collaboration with the partner has brought to life a truly advanced model if compared to the starting model: electronics, mechanics and chassis, in fact, have been carefully developed on the basis of detailed specifications. Electronics, for example, has been optimised to offer the perfect combination between performance and safety. The two-cylinder in-line liquid-cooled engine with double overhead camshaft distribution has also undergone specific refinement, aimed at further improving the high efficiency. The increase in displacement up to 550 cc (70.5 mm bore and 71 mm stroke), a distinctive content for this model, has the goal to further enrich the torque curve and smoothen delivery at all revs. That is what a motorcycle with such a wide spectrum of use deserves.

Distinctive design of the 5.5 version can be seen both from the superstructures and from other aesthetic crucial features, such as the bespoke optical groups. Stylistic inspiration is shared with the 9.5 model and inspired by the legendary races in the desert, not to mention others features, which allows this new born to proudly claim its technical, conceptual and aesthetic identity.

9.5
The 9.5 truly introduces a gateway to the future in the shape of a premium adventure bike, faithfully based on the new MV Agusta 950 engine, powered by class-leading technology and close to that racing spirit of the original Elefant.

The two new models share numerous stylistic elements: the front end area and the sturdy handguard, for example, are both painted black. A side cover protect the radiator, which reveals a semicircle element in the central portion. Furthermore, a cover protects the front braking system, with a large flap to ensure the discs the right dose of air flow; the skid plate underlines the destination of the bike, which therefore results particularly off-road oriented. Even the extended use of high-technology materials along with their finishing are nature-inspired: the forged carbon fiber element, a link between the radiator area and the skid plate, reflects this vision.

The instrumentation is automotive-standards developed: that is true in terms of easy-to-understand graphics, full suite of useful information as well as connectivity. It can count on a 7” full TFT panel, with Bluetooth connection to smartphones and Wi-Fi. The electrical switch cubes have been exclusively designed for this model: inspired by functionality and ergonomics criteria they allow the user to easily navigate amongst the numerous configurations available in the menus. In addition, a practical pannier fastening system, located in the tail area, comes with a retractable system: a smart solution that does not compromise the design of the bike.

The optical assembly has been subjected to an extensive study, aimed at offering a stunning stylistic result and an indisputable light output as well. In particular, the 5.5 mounts DRL in a semicircle, which are clearly inspired by the classic Elefant 900. The optical assembly of the 9.5 is instead more complex and even more original, thanks to two concentric elements that add the front end an aggressive look.

The chassis of the 9.5 is made of steel, with a closed double cradle structure. Designed to offer the best balance between the comfort required for touring road use and the stiffness to achieve interesting off-road performance, it is composed of forged and extruded elements, based on the loads required at different areas. Despite the excellent torsional strength and longitudinal stiffness values, it stops the scales at a mere weight. The sturdy swingarm makes use of lightweight aluminum alloy to achieve the highest strength-to-weight ratio. Aluminum is used also for the fork plates, while the rear subframe is made of steel.

The 9.5 engine has been developed specifically for this model and creates an uncompromised balance of versatility, power and weight. Signed by MV Agusta and inspired by the well-known and admired 800 three-cylinder in-line, it is new in most of its components. The bore and stroke measurements have both been increased to achieve the effective displacement of 930.63 cc, delivering the highest possible values of power and torque. All without changing the overall dimensions of the 800 engine currently in production. Numerous technical contents are confirmed, such as the head plane, cylinders angle together with the position of the motor mounts on the three axles and of the front sprocket.

The new 9.5 motorcycle also stands out for its three-cylinder in-line four-stroke liquid-cooled twin overhead camshaft engine boasts a compression ratio of 12.5: 1; the crankshaft is counter-rotating, to improve driving dynamics and reduce inertia. The removable gearbox is also offered in an unprecedented electro-actuated configuration, specially designed for this model. The maximum power and torque values are respectively 123 hp at 10,000 rpm and 102 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The specific hp/l power is 132.25 while the complete mass of the engine is only 57 kg.

9.5 engine main features:

– New cylinder head
– New steel intake and exhaust valves
– New head-cylinder base gasket
– New steel crankshaft, counter-rotating, 120° cranks, 1-2-3 ignition
– New main and trimetallic connecting rod bearings
– New forged aluminum alloy pistons, three segments

The transmission can count on a new primary drive gear with straight teeth, with power take-off from the countershaft; the gears of the pump control are unprecedented. The base has been completely redesigned: it has integrated oil passages while the passage of water from the upper to the lower base takes place via an external aluminum pipe. What’s more, clutch, generator, starter, selector and gearbox covers have been redesigned.

The 9.5 wet clutch comes in two versions: the automatic Rekluse variant and the standard, featuring hydraulic control on the left side. Lastly, the electro-actuated gearbox, offered as an option, represents a rare gem.

MV Agusta and Crosby Studios collaborate on installation for Complexcon 2021

Held on 6-7 November in Long Beach, California, the groundbreaking, two-day, immersive convention brings together creatives from around the world to engage in innovative events across the fields of pop culture, art, design, fashion, food, music, sports, and more

MV Agusta is pleased to announce its partnership with renowned architecture and design firm Crosby Studios for the 2021 edition of ComplexCon, the world’s first and most important festival of pop and streetwear culture, held from 6-7 November in Long Beach, California. In collaboration with Crosby Studios founder and principal designer, Harry Nuriev, MV Agusta will present The Garage, a new installation of collectable vehicles and garage essentials.

With The Garage, Nuriev continues his investigation into overlooked, transitory spaces, which the designer considers to be metaphors for “traveling through different layers of space, reality, and consciousness”—a theme explored in much of his work, which often blend material, virtual and augmented realities. For ComplexCon, Nuriev worked with MV Agusta to map his signature gray-and-white checkerboard pattern onto a custom MV Agusta F3 motorcycle and MV Agusta AMO RC electric bicycle, in addition to a ladder, gasoline tank, shelves, and various storage pieces. The collaborative, limited edition merchandise will be available for purchase on an inquiry basis.

Harry Nuriev, Founder, Crosby Studios, commented: “For me, a garage is a symbol of a workshop — a place that births new ideas, and allows creators to escape reality. A garage also brings back a lot of childhood memories, from when I used my family’s garage as a craft workshop. I’m always challenging myself to find different avenues to express my design — this time it’s through motorcycles. I’m really fascinated by the sleek, sexy, shape and design of a motorcycle, and am thrilled to be working with MV Agusta to work with this new medium.”

Timur Sardarov, CEO, MV Agusta Motor S.p.A., commented: “MV Agusta is increasingly popular in the US, and is perceived as a true design icon among the millennials who make up the majority of the ComplexCon crowds. We are constantly exploring new ways of being meaningful and relevant to that very important segment, and ComplexCon offers our brand a perfect opportunity to connect and communicate in a unique way. Harry Nuriev’s work has taken design and function one step further, entering the dimension of art and emotions — a concept that strongly resonates with MV Agusta’s Motorcycle Art spirit. We are thrilled to take part in this year’s event as the centrepiece of Harry Nuriev’s brilliant installation, and couldn’t dream of a better debut and a better partner. We are looking forward to making our mark at ComplexCon 2021.”

MV Agusta Superveloce Ago

“I dreamt of a summer day my father telling me don’t go too fast, Mino. I liked the wind rushing towards me, the road fast-scrolling under the wheels. I learned that the ocean is just a lake, only bigger. And what it means to be in front, doing things others can’t do. Not to have that number 1 on the fairing, but to do a job I call love. Even if it can turn on you, and if you harm it, it will take its revenge. For with a bike you must give and take.”
