Peugeot Pulsion – The Smarter Scooter

New for 2019, the Peugeot Pulsion 125 is packed with intelligent technology and ergonomic design to create a smart scooter for life in and out of the city.

Smart Ergonomics
Designed for comfort and control, the unique curvature of the handlebars gives ‘heads-up-steering’ and the full-colour TFT screen is easily visible without moving the head. The riding position is triangulated, for comfortable posture and enhanced control. Combined with the Pulsion’s compact size, low centre of gravity, 14-inch front wheel and high quality suspension, the riding position is confidence-inspiring and delivers class-leading handling.

Smart Comms
The Pulsion’s i-Connect® system also allows full smartphone connectivity for turn-by-turn GPS on the dash whilst riding; along with calls, SMS and social media notifications whilst stationary – no need to take your phone out. The Pulsion can be synced with up to five different phones too, so there’s no re-connecting should the rider have multiple devices or if the Pusion is used by different people. Thoughtfully, in the glove box is a 12V USB socket for charging on the move.

Smart Power
The Pulsion is propelled by Peugeot’s latest PowerMotion® 125cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected four-stroke engine. It’s fully Euro4 (and London ULEZ) compliant, returning 97 mpg, yet puts out an impressive 14.6bhp and 11.9Nm of torque, for effortless riding, in and out of town.

Smart Safety
Disc brakes feature at the front and rear of the Pulsion. ABS comes as standard as does SBC (Synchro Braking Concept) – a combined braking system, allowing the rider to use the left lever to engage both the front and rear brake at the same time with perfect balance. Automatic hazard warning lights are activated under hard braking, alerting other road users to your actions in the event of an emergency stop.

Peugeot Motocycles is also the first manufacturer to offer a luminous signature style Daytime Running Light (DRL) within the two-wheel scooter segment, for maximum safety day and night.

Smart Security
Helping to prevent theft is the Smart Key, without which the Pulsion can’t be started. It also features a handy ‘Find-Me’ function, which will flash the Pulsion’s lights at the press of a button on the fob, allowing the user to instantly pick out their bike in crowded bike bays and dimly-lit parking areas.

The new Peugeot Pulsion is available in two versions: the ‘Allure’ with a taller screen, as well as a support plate for the installation of a top box (available to purchase separately) and the sporty ‘RS’ with ‘bare’ handlebars and sport style screen, as well as a custom-cool stainless steel footplates.

Both versions retail at £4,499-. For full spec visit www.peugeotmotocycles.co.uk

Big Wheels Keep On Turning

Now arriving in UK dealers, Peugeot’s Belville big-wheel scooter is available with a choice of the latest 125cc and 200cc engines.

Already big-sellers in Europe, big-wheel scooters are gaining popularity in the UK, because their larger tyres give reassuring road-holding on the country’s increasingly pot-holed and degraded roads.

Named after the famous district of Paris, the Belville’s LED headlight and its signature “triple claw” daytime running tail-light add to its stylish lines, increasing visibility by day and by night too.

The Belville 125 is fitted with the new, liquid-cooled SmartMotion® engine, which combines two advanced technologies – Low Friction Efficiency (LFE) and ACG (Alternative Current Generator) management, for high performance, low emissions and excellent fuel economy – up to 113mpg [2.5L/100km].

The Belville 200 is powered by the air-cooled, fuel injected EasyMotion® engine, which combines low emissions with high-torque performance.

Updated Engine And Colours For Kisbee 50

Peugeot’s best-selling Kisbee 50 gets an updated Euro 4 compliant motor, signature lighting and fresh new colours for 2018.

Now available in Flat 6 Red, alongside the popular black and white colours, there’s also the sporty RS version in Mad Grey. To comply with tough Euro 4 regulations, the 50cc 4-stroke motor gets a Dell’Orto electronic carburettor, which controls the air/fuel mixture ratio, increasing fuel economy and reducing emissions of CO2 and hydrocarbons.

Europe’s most popular scooter for three years running (2013-2015) the Kisbee 50 is designed for urban life, with automatic CVT ‘twist and go’ transmission making it easy to nip through congested urban areas. Frugal on fuel too – capable of 108mpg – the 6.8 litre fuel tank, located beneath the rider’s feet, provides plenty of range between refills.

On the road, the chunky 12″ wheels and sports-profile tyres give plenty of confidence in the corners, while the telescopic front forks rear shock absorber soak up ruts and potholes.

A spacious dual seat and flip-out pillion foot pegs ensure a comfortable journey for both rider and passenger. At just 780mm high, the seat offers a relaxed riding position for riders of all heights and, weighing only 95kg,  the compact Kisbee is light and easy to handle, squeezing through traffic and into the tightest parking spaces. Beneath the seat, there’s enough room for a full-face helmet in the lockable storage bay.

Offering great value for a premium specification scooter from a major European brand, the Kisbee 50 costs £1599* (£1649 in RS trim) and is covered by a 24-month warranty for complete peace of mind.

Tweet Cleaner And Greener

Peugeot’s big wheel 50 scooter is now cleaner and greener thanks to a new electronic carburettor that reduces emissions and improves fuel economy.

Since the introduction of the Speedfight 50 in 1997, Peugeot has been a major player in the European market for 50cc scooters and has remained the UK’s top selling brand of moped for many years.

The Tweet’s 50cc four-stroke engine is now fitted with a Dell’Orto electronic carburettor, which controls the air/fuel mixture ratio, reducing fuel consumption, as well as emissions of CO2 and hydrocarbons. That’s good news for riders too, who will need to fill up the 5.7 litre tank less frequently thanks to fuel economy figures of 108 mpg (2.6l/100km).

Fully automatic CVT ‘twist and go’ transmission makes it easy to ride and the 16-inch wheels, telescopic front forks and adjustable rear shock absorbers deliver nimble and sure-footed handling, even on poorly maintained urban routes.

At just 690mm wide, it’s narrow enough to squeeze through tight gaps in traffic with confidence. Coupled with a kerb weight of just 100kg, it also makes parking easy too.

Dual seat, fold-out foot pegs and chunky grab rail give plenty of comfort for a passenger, while the large underseat storage bay and handy luggage rack provide extra carrying capacity.

The Peugeot Tweet 50 is available from authorised Peugeot Scooter dealers, at £1899, including a two year, unlimited mileage warranty, for complete peace of mind.

Two new colour schemes – Satin Iron Grey and Dark Blue – join the line-up, alongside the existing Jet Black and Antarctica White versions. For details on the Tweet 50 and to view the full Peugeot Scooters range, call 01202 823344 or visit www.peugeotscooters.co.uk

Peugeot Lift The Speedfight Cup

Peugeot’s special R-Cup edition of the new generation Speedfight 125 gets the distinctive paint scheme seen on track in the Peugeot 308 Racing Cup series

In Icy White, with bright red detail to emphasise its looks and performance, the Speedfight 125 R CUP draws on the model’s heritage as the definitive sports scooter.

At its heart is Peugeot’s all-new, liquid-cooled ‘SmartMotion’ engine, featuring SYNERJET single-indirect fuel injection and patented ACG [Alternative Current Generator] management.

ACG increases fuel economy by more than 5%, by disabling the flywheel during acceleration and deceleration phases, but only when the battery is sufficiently charged. It also makes more power available during the starting phase. The new engine makes the 4th generation Speedfight the most powerful to date, and the most economical – returning up to 134 mpg [2.1 litres/100 km].

Peugeot upgraded the scooter’s stopping power too, with a powerful 215mm front disc brake, and 190mm disc at the rear. Both are controlled with Synchro Braking Concept [SBC], which simultaneously activates the brakes when the left hand lever is applied. In case of emergency, applying the right-hand lever at the same time adds extra stopping power to the front brake.

Up to date with the latest tech, the Speedfight now has a digital dashboard, with backlit LCD display, and is even fitted with a USB socket, to keep the rider connected on the go. It is also prepared to accept an X-Grip smartphone holder.

The Speedfight 4 125 R-Cup is available from Peugeot dealers at an OTR price of £2699-* – including an unlimited mileage 24-month factory warranty.

4th Generation Peugeot Speedfight 125 Arrives

The 4th generation of the iconic Peugeot Speedfight is now available in 125cc form, powered by an all-new, liquid-cooled ‘SmartMotion’ engine. Maintaining its position as the definitive sports scooter, it is the most powerful Speedfight to date and also the most economical – it’s capable of returning 134 mpg [2.1 litres/100 km], giving riders the best of both worlds.

Twin LED headlights emphasise this bike’s sporting intentions, framed by signature lighting above the front grille, ‘ice effect’ indicators and rear light layout styled into lion’s claws.

At its heart is the liquid-cooled SmartMotion motor, featuring SYNERJET single-indirect fuel injection and patented ACG [Alternative Current Generator] management. This ingenious system disables the flywheel during acceleration and deceleration phases, but only when the battery is sufficiently charged, increasing fuel economy by more than 5% (measured on the on WTMC 1.2 cycle), and making more power available during the starting phase.

Stopping power has also been upgraded, with the introduction of Peugeot’s Synchro Braking Concept [SBC], which simultaneously activates the powerful 215 mm front and 190 mm rear disc brakes, when the left hand lever is applied. This distributes braking effort so that the scooter slows down, without locking the wheels or diving at the front end. In case of emergency, applying the right-hand lever as well adds stopping power to the front brake.

Designed for the digital era, the Speedfight 125i has a digital dashboard with backlit LCD display and is fitted with a USB socket, to keep you connected on the go. It is also prepared to accept an X-Grip smartphone holder.

Now arriving in UK showrooms, the Speedfight 125i is set to sell for the launch price of £2599* – including an unlimited mileage factory 24-month warranty – a very competitive price tag for a premium specification scooter from a major European brand. Full specifications and details of all authorised Peugeot Scooter dealers can be found at www.peugeotscooters.co.uk

EasyMotion for Peugeot Django 125 Scooters

Peugeot’s popular retro scooter gets the new EasyMotion engine and SBC linked braking across the model range for 2017, offering the latest standards of economy and safety wrapped up in a vintage style.

Designed to exceed tough Euro 4 emissions regulations, the 125cc EasyMotion engine is fuel injected and returns more than 100 miles to the gallon (104 mpg tested under World Motorcycle Test Cycle conditions).

The Django’s low saddle height (770 mm max) and large flat floor pan with non-slip slats makes the vintage-style scooter comfortable for riders of all sizes.

Confidence is further boosted by the Synchro Braking Concept, which now comes as standard across all models in the Django 125 range. Applying the left lever activates the SBC, which distributes braking effort simultaneously between the 200 mm front disc brake and 170 mm disc at the rear, slowing the scooter without locking the wheels or diving at the front. Should you need to make an ’emergency stop’, using the right-hand lever adds extra power to the front brake.

Inspired by Peugeot’s S55 scooter of the 1950s, the Django blends vintage aesthetics with modern technology throughout. LED lighting is used for the indicators, rear light and signature lights that frame the the front grille.

The dashboard is styled with reference to the beautiful cars and scooters of the Fifties, and the analogue speedometer contains a digital display, showing time, external temperature, mileage and fuel level. Under the generous seat is a lockable storage bay and the glove compartment holds a 12v socket to charge your phone.

Prices for the Django 125i start at £2,799- for the Heritage model and include a two-year unlimited mileage parts and labour warranty. Full specifications and details of all authorised Peugeot Scooter dealers can be found  at www.peugeotscooters.co.uk.

PeugeotSpeedfight 20th Anniversary Edition

Peugeot has introduced a special edition of the Speedfight to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the machine that defined the new wave of sports scooters.

The special edition also gets a black double-stitched sport seat with removable pillion cowl, snakebite sports exhaust system and aluminium footboards, to complement its red-and-white colour scheme.

At the heart of the Speedfight 20 Edition is an air-cooled two-stroke engine, fed by a Dell’Orto carburettor. Stopping power comes from a powerful Shuricane front disc with four-piston radial calliper,

USD Ø 32mm front forks, 13-inch alloy wheels and a fuel tank located under the footboard for a lower centre of gravity, give improved stability and sharper handling.

New Peugeot Metropolis 3-wheeler

Three years after its launch, the Peugeot Metropolis has evolved. This new Euro 4 compliant model gets 13” front wheels, re-engineered chassis, updated 400cc LFE PowerMotion engine, emergency braking warning system, ABS and Traction Control.

It also retains all the innovations that made the original so exciting – smart-key ignition, Tyre Pressure Management System, Dual Tilting Wheels, flat floor and adjustable backrest/screen.

The lightweight 13″ sport wheels at the front are the most obvious visual change, improving comfort, handling and stability, enhanced by Michelin Citygrip tyres, to maintain the scooter’s excellent road-holding. Both chassis and suspension settings have been given an in-depth redesign, making the frame 50% stiffer and the steering lighter and more responsive.

ABS braking, developed in partnership with Continental and Nissin, reduces stopping distances by 23% compared to the previous model (down from 15.5 M to 10.3 M at 50 kp/h). This is achieved by fitting 230 mm diameter front discs with bigger pistons and a double piston rear brake calliper.

Riders can activate SBC combined braking with the foot pedal, distributing braking effort evenly between front & rear brakes.

For additional safety, the hazard warning lights are automatically triggered by emergency braking. Using expertise from the automotive world, Peugeot is the first motorcycle manufacturer to use this technology. At speeds over 50 km/h [31 mph], the system activates the hazard lights if the vehicle slows by more than 6 m/s [13 mph], and turns itself off when the deceleration is less than 2.5 m/s [5.5 mph].

Switchable TCS (Traction Control System) allows the rider to choose the optimum setting for the best grip in the conditions. There are three settings to choose from; Urban, Sport and off.

The 400cc LFE low-friction engine is upgraded to PowerMotion specification, which meets tough Euro 4 standards for emissions, while maintaining performance (36 HP and 38 Nm torque at 5250 rpm). There are significant fuel savings, particularly at higher RPM, and overall economy is increased from 67 to 72 mpg,

For everyday comfort & convenience, the 12v plug is replaced by a USB socket, the boot is enlarged to take a full-face helmet and the Peugeot Metropolis now comes with two smart keys, that are electronically recognised as soon as the rider is within a radius of 1.5 metres.

A special edition RX-R model will also be available; characterized by a ‘mad black’ livery made more aggressive by red inserts, tinted sports screen and aluminium footplate.

New Peugeot Speedfight 125i

Due out in summer 2017, the 4th generation Speedfight sports scooter gets the latest SmartMotion liquid-cooled 125 cc engine, offering class-leading fuel economy of 134.5 mpg [ 2.1 litres/100 km].

The SmartMotion motor features SYNERJET single-indirect fuel injection and patented ACG [Alternative Current Generator] management. This ingenious system disables the flywheel during acceleration and deceleration phases, but only when the battery is sufficiently charged, increasing fuel economy by more than 5% (measured on the on WTMC 1.2 cycle), and making more power available during the starting phase.

Braking is enhanced with the integral Synchro Braking Concept (SBC), which distributes braking effort between front & rear brakes.

Compact and lightweight, the Speedfight4 125 will be the first model from Peugeot Scooters with 100% LED lighting, including lenticular LED headlamps, “Ice Effect” indicators and rear light layout styled into the “three claws” of of the lion.

All Peugeot Scooters are covered by a 2-year unlimited mileage parts & labour warranty. Information and details of authorised Peugeot Scooter dealers can be found at www.peugeotscooters.co.uk

Peugeot Metropolis Black Edition

Peugeot has introduced a special edition of the Metropolis 3-wheel scooter for Summer 2016. The new Metropolis Black Edition gets dark satin black bodywork with contrasting gloss black wheels, engine casing and passenger grab rails, creating a sleek and streamlined look with serious attitude, individuality and style.

  • Satin black bodywork with gloss black accessories.
  • Aluminum footboard and detailing.
  • Sporty short tinted windshield.
  • Black machined wheels.
  • Dual texture black seat with contrasting white stitching.

Slender (just 78 cm wide) and agile, the Metropolis Black Editition is propelled by one of the most powerful engines in its class – the 400i LFE low friction engine delivers 37 hp with 38.1 Nm of torque. Its advanced vibration filtering technology reduces noise emissions and fuel consumption too.

Technology is apparent from the ground up. The Metropolis has excellent manoeuverability, whatever the conditions, thanks to the Twin Tilting Wheels (TTW) at the front, with a unique suspension system, made from light aluminium, in a strong deformable parallelogram.

The combined brake system (SBC) applies the braking process to the front and rear wheels simultaneously, for more efficient and safer braking. As an additional safety feature, the Peugeot Metropolis is equipped with Daytime Running Lights (DRL) between the front wheels: five powerful LED daytime lights significantly increase visibility in traffic. It is the only scooter with these fitted as standard.

Relevant information is provided by the digital on-board computer, including average fuel consumption and outside temperature, plus a real time tyre pressure monitor. It is also equipped with an electronic “smart key” that operates within a radius of 1.5 m around the scooter.

Twin storage bays located beneath the seat and boot can be independently opened remotely using buttons on the dashboard, revealing generous luggage space, and there is a 12-volt power socket in the glove box.

The Peugeot Metropolis Black Edition is an A2 category motorcycle but can be ridden on a car licence by drivers who passed their test before 19 January 2013. It sells for £7199- on the road and is covered by a two year unlimited mileage manufacturer’s warranty. Visit www.peugeotscooters.co.uk for details

New colour for RS Series Peugeot Scooters

Peugeot Scooters special edition RS series scooters will be available in a new Satin Technium colour scheme for 2016.

The first models to arrive in the UK will be the liquid-cooled Citystar 125i compact maxi-scooter and the Metropolis 400i 3-wheeler.

In RS trim the scooters get a low profile tinted sports screen, stainless steel foot plates, dual-texture sport seat and black wheel rims with an orange border.

With a short wheelbase for a maxi scooter and 90 degree turning radius, the Citystar is very agile. Powered by a low friction 15hp 125cc engine, it is hugely capable in both town and country, and economical too.

Featuring a Dual Tilting Wheels (DTW) front axle, the Peugeot Metropolis delivers superb road-holding through its two front wheels, and is packed with technological equipment, including keyless ignition and tyre pressure monitors as standard.

The Peugeot Citystar 125i RS sells for £2999; the Metropolis 400i RS sells for £7199.

Total Makeover For Peugeot Speedfight 4

Peugeot has launched a special ‘Total Sport’ edition of their new Speedfight 4, coinciding with the model’s 20th year in production and marking the manufacturer’s two decades of partnership with Total.

Peugeot has worked with the fuel and lubricant specialists since 1995, both in research and development and in competition; the pairing perhaps best known for the World Rally Championships, in which the 206 WRC achieved 25 victories, 3 constructors’ championship titles and 2 drivers’ championship titles.

Based on the fourth generation of the iconic Speedfight scooter, the Total Sport features a liquid-cooled two-stroke engine, fed by a Dell’Orto carburettor, which delivers 5% more power and 15% more torque than the previous model.

USD, telescopic Ø 32mm front forks and a remote reservoir rear shock absorber, combined with the 12-inch alloy wheels, low profile tyres and the new fuel tank location under the foot-board, give improved stability and sharper handling.

Safety comes from a powerful Ø 215mm Shuricane front disc with radial calliper, backed up by a Ø 190mm Shuricane disc at the rear.

The Speedfight’s styling is inspired by the Peugeot Exalt concept car, with twin helicoid headlights, separated by the distinctive grille and aviation-style fuel cap. Complementing the Total racing livery and matt black bodywork are highlighted inserts in the air intakes, aluminium footrests, pearly saddle-cover, micro lamp crystal turn indicators, a rear spoiler and inverted sports silencer.

The dashboard has both USB and 12V sockets and is ready to take a RAM® X-Grip® smartphone holder; an on-board digital multifunction computer also comes as standard.

The Speedfight 4 Total is priced  £2099* including a two-year unlimited mileage parts and labour warranty. It can be ridden on an AM licence, making it accessible to anyone aged 16 or over. AM category scooters can also be ridden by anyone who passed their car driving test before 1st February 2001, without the need to take any extra tests.

Peugeot Kisbee is Europe’s Number 1 Scooter (again)

Peugeot’s Kisbee 50 is Europe’s best-selling scooter of any capacity for the third year running.

Once again, the Kisbee 50 out-sold it’s nearest rivals in the charts – Yamaha’s XP500 TMAX and Honda’s SH150AD – by 22% and 38% respectively.

It was also the 3rd best-selling Powered Two Wheeler in Europe overall, a repeat of its performance in 2014 and 2013. BMW’s R1200GS and the Yamaha MT-07 claimed the top two spots.

Figures released by the UK Motorcycle Industry Association show that more ‘commuter sized’ motorcycles and scooters were sold during 2015 than for any other year since comparative records began in 1983. Peugeot Scooters saw UK sales grow by 38% in 2015**, out-performing the booming market for two-wheeled commuter transport.

Two new colours have been announced for the Kisbee in 2016; Satin Flash Silver and Flat Six Red for the Sportline specification.

Powered by a 4-stroke motor with a 3 chamber exhaust, the Kisbee is capable of 108 mpg. Chunky 12″ wheels with sports profile tyres, telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers give it a sure-footed feel on the road and, weighing just 95kg, it’s easy to squeeze into the tightest parking spaces. Beneath the seat is a storage compartment big enough to hold a full-face helmet and the Kisbee offers plenty of legroom thanks to its flat floor pan.

Competitively priced for a premium specification scooter from a major European brand, the Satin Flash Silver Kisbee sells for just £1299***. The Sportline version includes a 170mm Shuricane front disc brake, black fork legs, engine cover and alloy rims, plus alloy bar ends and a special edition seat – selling for £1399***. Both models are covered by a 24-month warranty.
