GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000FA pricing confirmed

Suzuki GB has confirmed pricing for the new GSX-S1000 model ahead of its launch to the world’s motorcycling press later this month, with the GSX-R1000-powered street bike available with an RRP of £8,999.

The new GSX-S1000 features an all-new lightweight frame that houses an upgraded engine based on the legendary GSX-R1000 K5, including new internals and cam profiles. There’s also Brembo monobloc calipers from the current GSX-R1000 and three-mode traction control.

The ABS version of the GSX-S1000 has an RRP of £9,499, while pricing has also been confirmed for the GSX-S1000FA, which adds an aggressively-styled fairing as part of the package, and comes with an RRP of £9,999.

Suzuki GB Marketing Manager Rob Cooper commented, “The GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000FA both offer an exciting package, with new chassis components all wrapped around a popular, proven engine. We’re confident that both models will be highly competitive against other bikes in this sector of the market in terms of both spec and price.”

The new GSX-S1000 is expected in dealerships from June. Customers can register their interest in taking a test ride at www.suzuki-gb.co.uk.

New Reasons to Buy a Suzuki for 15 Registrations

The new ’15 registration prefix comes at an opportune time for new Suzuki customers, with new models and finance offers available across the range.

Following its press launch in Ireland last month, the new V-Strom 650XT is available in dealerships nationwide now with an RRP of £7,499, and builds on the already popular foundations laid down by the standard model, adding DID wire-spoke wheels, a new ‘beak’ for improved airflow to the radiator, hand guards, aluminium sump guard and engine bars as standard.

Also set to join the V-Strom 650XT in dealerships this year is the GSX-R1000 with added ABS for 2015. Regarded as one of the best road-going superbikes available, the GSX-R1000 is also available in the same stunning livery as the Japanese manufacturer’s GSX-RR MotoGP machine, with the firm returning to the blue-ribband class of motorcycle racing for the first time since 2011. All GSX-Rs come with a Yoshimura R11 exhaust as part of the deal too.

The updated Bandit 1250 will hit showroom floors toward the end of March, with the Address 110, Inazuma 250F, GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F also arriving in dealerships throughout the year.

On top of the new models hitting dealerships, the well-received 50/50 finance campaign makes purchasing a new ’15 plated Suzuki even easier. The offer provides even greater flexibility with customers able to pay half the cost of the bike upfront and pay the other half in two years’ time or, if they prefer, pay the remaining 50% in monthly repayments over 24 months. Both options are available interest free.

The 50/50 finance offer is available on both the V-Strom 650 and XT version, as well as the V-Strom 1000 Adventure, along with the Hayabusa and Hayabusa Z, GSR750 and the GSR750Z model, GSX1250FA, and Burgman 650 Executive, and runs until the end of March, 2015.

Suzuki Confirms Pricing on New Commuter Models

Suzuki has confirmed pricing for its new Address 110 and Inazuma 250F models, with the economical commuter-targeted machines priced at £1,799 and £3,999 respectively.

The Address 110 defines urban practicality, with its impressive 145MPG* figure, a kerb mass of just 97kg, and over 20 litres of under-seat storage. The stylish new scooter also boasts cutaway footboards, making it easy to stop around town, a rear brake locking system for use when parked, and an ignition cover which aids in security.

Performance comes from a new fuel injection system and redesigned piston skirts, while cast aluminium wheels with hollow cores boost handling capabilities.

The new scooter comes with an RRP of £1,799 while a number of optional accessories are also available, including a top box, hand guards, and tall windscreen.

The Inazuma 250F joins Suzuki’s on-road range for 2015, following the success of the naked Inazuma 250 launched at Motorcycle Live 2012.

The new F variant adds a fairing and screen for improved weather protection on longer journeys, all wrapped around an economical 248cc parallel twin capable of 85MPG* while also delivering enough punch for a spirited ride out of town.

The Inazuma 250F is available with an RRP of £3,999. Both the Address 110 and Inazuma 250F are expected in dealers in March.

Suzuki will return to the MCN Motorcycle Show at London’s ExCeL arena this February, with a host of new models taking centre-stage, including the GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F.

Headlining the Intermot show in Cologne last year after their unveiling, the two new GSX-S1000 models boast an engine based on the iconic GSX-R1000 K5, but with new internals, as well as an all-new frame, switchable traction control with three modes, and ABS.

After covering 15,000 miles, the V-Strom 1000 that Bike Magazine rode from Peterborough in the UK back to the factory in Hamamatsu, Japan will be featured on the stand along with the new V-Strom 1000 Sport. The TL1000S that was assembled from brand new genuine parts at Motorcycle Live in November will also be on the stand.

The GSX-R1000 comes with optional ABS in 2015 and is available in the new MotoGP livery. The GSX-R750 and GSX-R600 are also available in the stunning MotoGP blue and will be on display, with all replicas coming with a Yoshimura R11 exhaust, double-bubble race screen, and other Yoshimura performance parts.

Completing the Suzuki range on display at the show will be the GSX1250FA, GSR750, Inazuma 250Z, Hayabusa Z – which comes with Yoshimura Hepta Force titanium silencers with carbon tip – the Intruder M1800RBZ performance cruiser, Burgman 650 Executive luxury scooter, and the award-winning RM-Z450 motocross machine.

As well as the 2015 model range, the latest lines from this year’s merchandise range will be on display, including the latest race team wear and popular heritage lines.

Three-time British Superbike champion John Reynolds will also make an appearance, stopping by the Suzuki stand on Saturday 14 February to meet and greet show-goers and talk about his racing career and development role.

Suzuki GB Marketing Manager, Rob Cooper, said, “We’re looking forward to getting back to the MCN London show this year. It’s an opportunity to see the new GSX-S models up close and in the metal, as well as the other new bikes on our stand. Plus bikes such as the TL1000S that was built from new parts at Motorcycle Live and the V-Strom 1000 Bike Magazine rode back to the factory add plenty of reasons to come and see us at the show.”

Suzuki GB will be supported by popular local dealers Motoden, Laguna Motorcycles, and John’s of Romford for the duration of the show, which runs from Friday 13 – Sunday 15 February, 2015. Suzuki can be found on stand M50, next to the live action zone.

GSX1250FA Gets Luggage as Standard and V-Strom Sport Available

Suzuki has announced that its GSX1250FA sports-tourer is now available with a full luggage set as standard, while also adding a new Sport model to the V-Strom 1000 range.

Available in a classy black finish or candy red for 2015, the GSX1250FA now comes complete with a top box and panniers as standard, boasting a combined capacity of 105 litres. The inclusion of fitted luggage as standard adds further value to the already proven touring machine, which is available with an RRP of £7,999.

Also announced by the Japanese manufacturer is the addition of the Sport model to the V-Strom 1000 stable for 2015, as it joins the Adventure and Desert versions of the versatile adventure bike.

With an RRP of £9,799, the V-Strom 1000 Sport is only available in black and comes with a stunning Yoshimura Hepta Force exhaust. It also features a decal set, belly pan, hand guards, engine bars and a chain guard.

The V-Strom 1000 Sport is available from authorised dealerships now.

Both models are also available on Suzuki’s current 50/50, interest free finance campaign, which means customers can either pay half the cost of the agreed sale price upfront – or pay nothing if using a trade-in worth half the bike’s value – and pay half in two years’ time.

Suzuki Announce Expansion of Interest Free 50/50 Campaign

Suzuki has announced an expansion to the 50/50 finance campaign currently running on the V-Strom 1000 Adventure machine, with new models added to the offer which will now run until the end of March, 2015.

The offer provides even greater flexibility with customers able to pay half the cost of the bike upfront and pay the other half in two years’ time or, if they prefer, pay the remaining 50% in monthly repayments over 24 months. Both options are available interest free.

From 1 February, both the V-Strom 650 and XT version will join the V-Strom 1000 Adventure as part of the offer, along with the Hayabusa and Hayabusa Z, GSR750 and the GSR750Z model, GSX1250FA, and Burgman 650 Executive.

Suzuki GB National Sales Manager, Jonathan Martin, said, “This offer has proven popular on the V-Strom 1000 and we’re delighted to extend it to a number of other models in the range. It means you can effectively ride one away without parting with any cash if you have a trade-in worth half of the agreed sale price. Customers can then defer the final payment for two years, meaning no monthly repayments, or they can clear the balance over 24 months. Either option is interest free.”

The offer runs from 1 February to 31 March, 2015. For more information or to find your nearest Suzuki dealer, visit www.suzuki-gb.co.uk.

Suzuki V-Strom 650XT Now in Dealers

Suzuki’s new V-Strom 650XT is now available in dealerships nationwide, with pricing confirmed at £7,499.

Based on the popular V-Strom 650, which has been the best-selling mid-capacity dual-purpose motorcycle over the last decade, the new XT version boasts lightweight DID wire spoke rims, designed to improve performance on unpaved roads, while a new beak takes design cues from the V-Strom 1000 and iconic DR Big and improves airflow to the radiator.

Hand guards, aluminium sump protector and engine bars complete the look and add to the V-Strom 650XT’s rugged presence.

Suzuki GB Marketing Manager Rob Cooper commented, “The XT version of the popular V-Strom 650 builds on the original bike’s proven platform as a comfortable and capable adventure-tourer, but adds new levels of practicality with the wire wheels and other added extras, helping maintain the V-Strom’s position as the best dual-purpose machine in this sector of the market.”

The V-Strom 650XT is available in authorised Suzuki dealers now with an RRP of £7,499. Additional accessories, including aluminium luggage and Vario touring screen, are also available.

0% Finance and 50/50 payments on V-Strom 1000 Models

Suzuki has launched its new 50/50 campaign on all V-Strom 1000 models, offering customers the option to ride away with no monthly payments and 0% finance.

The new offer gives customers even greater flexibility with the choice to pay half the cost of the bike upfront and then either pay the remaining balance in two years time or, if they prefer, pay the remaining 50% in monthly instalments over 24 months, with both options available interest free.

Suzuki GB National Sales Manager Jonathan Martin said, “We’re always trying to offer our customers the best possible value. The V-Strom 1000 already offers that with its high level of spec, but now it makes even more sense when you add in the 0% APR finance and 50/50 payment offer. It means customers can often ride away a new V-Strom 1000 without parting with any cash if they have a bike to part-exchange that is worth half of the agreed sale price. Customers then have the option to defer the final payment for two years meaning no monthly repayments, or can clear the balance over 24 months, either way its interest free.”

New Suzuki GSX-S1000 Range Headlines Cologne Show

Suzuki pulled the wraps off its new GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F models at the opening of this year’s International Motorcycle Show in Cologne, Germany, as the Japanese manufacturer unveiled several new models and updates that will form part of its 2015 model range.

GSX-S1000 ABS

The product concept behind Suzuki’s new super-naked was to provide the spirit of GSX-R in a naked streetbike chassis. Designed for nimble and agile handling, the GSX-S1000 features an all-new frame and utilises engine design and characteristics from the iconic GSX-R1000 K5, famed for its low-down torque and mid-range power.

With knowhow from MotoGP development, the GSX-S1000 benefits from a traction control system boasting three-modes as well as the option to switch the system off completely. ABS is also available, with the bike expected in dealership showrooms in late spring next year.

GSX-S1000F ABS

Also unveiled as part of Suzuki’s new GSX-S range, the F variant features all of the benefits afforded to its naked sibling, including an all-new frame, traction control and ABS, but wrapped in a newly designed fairing.

Designed with the same concept in mind, the GSX-S1000F shares the ergonomics and riding position of the naked version, with both aimed at providing a sporty ride on the road, but leaving customers with the choice of added weather protection or sheer naked aggression. It too, is expected in late spring.

Address 110

The new Address 110 is expected to arrive in early spring next year, and brings with it exceptional fuel economy and value. Boasting 139MPG* and a 5.2 litre fuel tank, the Address 110 is set to become the commuting scooter of choice.

Practical touches include under-seat storage in excess of 20 litres that will comfortably take a full face helmet and riding gear, and rear handbrake for use when parked. The Address benefits from a new fuel injection system and reduced overall weight, which comes from sporty, redesigned bodywork and cast aluminium hollow-core wheels.

V-Strom 650XT ABS

Based on the already popular V-Strom 650, which has been the top selling dual-purpose machine in the 650-800cc class in the last decade, the V-Strom 650XT comes with more adventure as standard.

The new V-Strom 650XT takes design cues from the DR Big, the first dual-purpose machine to feature the now standard ‘beak’ design synonymous with models in the adventure sector. A new beak blends smoothly into the existing front bodywork, with air ducts that channel airflow to the radiator.

Newly designed, lightweight, wire-spoked aluminium wheels aid in the adventure-styling of the new V-Strom 650XT, and shock absorption performance is increased on unpaved roads. Its arrival is anticipated as early as December this year.

Bandit 1250S ABS

Bandit is back for 2015, with the iconic machine on sale in the UK early next year. With the original Bandit models developing a cult following, the latest incarnation uses the newest version of Suzuki’s 1255cc inline four-cylinder engine and gets a styling update to bring it into 2015.

After repeated wind tunnel testing, the redesigned fairings, with new radiator shrouds, offer improved aerodynamics, with venting just below the headlights, as well as better wind and weather protection for both rider and pillion.

Inazuma 250F

The A2-licence friendly and ideal commuter, comes clad with a newly designed fairing for 2015, with the Inazuma 250F unveiled at Intermot.

Adding extra wind protection to the popular city-wise machine, which boasts an impressive 85MPG figure, cost conscious commuters can now travel even further in comfort. The new faired Inazuma will be on sale in early 2015, alongside the existing naked machine.

GSX-R1000 ABS

The iconic GSX-R1000, which took the win at the prestigious 24 hours of Le Mans earlier this year in the hands of the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team, now comes with ABS as standard for 2015.

As the Japanese brand celebrates its return to the blue-ribband class of motorcycle racing next year, the GSX-R1000 will also be available in the replica colours of Suzuki’s new MotoGP racer, the GSX-RR.

AP50 Added to Suzuki Vintage Parts

Suzuki has announced the addition of the sought after AP50 to its popular and ever-growing Vintage Parts Programme, with the iconic 49cc rotary-valved two-stroke joining the RGV250, GT750, the original GSX-R750, and the GT250 X7.

The programme makes finding, buying and fitting parts for more classic Suzukis even easier, by listing all of the parts still available from the factory in one handy, online resource, as well as making parts booklets, brochures and service manuals available to download.

Tim Davies, Suzuki GB’s Aftersales Marketing Co-ordinator, commented, “Since the programme’s launch we had a clear plan of the models we wanted to include, and the AP50 was always on there as an iconic sports-moped. We’re just as enthusiastic when it comes to projects and restorations of older Suzukis as the restorers themselves, so we’ve looked at the most popular and tried to accommodate them. It takes time to get everything in place to add a bike to the programme, but hopefully it helps those restoring one of the included models and makes the process that bit easier.”

If you own an AP50 or any other classic Suzuki, head over to the Classic Suzuki Sunday at the Super Sausage Café on the A5 near Towcester on Sunday 7 September. Post code NN12 7QD.

Suzuki Announce Datatag Scheme Used Machines

Following the resounding success of the industry-backed Master Security Scheme in association with Datatag, Suzuki GB has announced the launch of its own Datatag scheme for used Suzuki models too.

Launched in 2013, the Master Scheme utilises the proven security technology developed by Datatag, bringing it to virtually every new motorcycle sold as standard in the UK. Since its introduction the impact of the scheme has been felt with only 403 machines reported as stolen, out of the 52,687 fitted with the system, effectively making an equipped machine four times less likely to be stolen when compared against figures for unmarked bikes.

Suzuki GB’s Paul de Lusignan, commented, “The impact of the Master Scheme has been felt right across the industry, from manufacturers to insurers and of course most importantly, with customers. While we are very proud to be part of this initiative for new bikes, we wanted to make sure that all of our customers have this chance of extra protection. Thanks to great cooperation between Datatag and our dealer network, we can now offer this to all Suzuki owners at a subsidised cost of just £55 including fitment.”

To arrange fitment of Datatag to your Suzuki, please contact your local authorised Suzuki dealer.

More about Datatag:

Datatag utilises state of the art identification technologies to permanently mark and protect your Suzuki. Datatag makes your motorcycle or scooter identifiable to the Police in such a way that is virtually impossible for a thief to defeat, therefore the risk involved in stealing this marked machine becomes high to the criminals who tend to avoid stealing in the first place.

Datatag has made a major impact on reducing theft and the Crown Prosecution Service has a 100% successful prosecution rate when evidence has been supplied by Datatag.

Suzuki GT250 X7 Added To Vintage Parts Programme

Suzuki GB has announced another new addition to the hugely popular Vintage Parts Programme, with the iconic GT250 X7 following the recent inclusion of the original GSX-R750 ‘Slabby’.

The GT series, first launched in Europe in 1973, quickly developed a cult following. Widely heralded as the first 250 to achieve a genuine 100mph, the now-sought after GT250 X7 made its debut in 1978. Today, nearly 850 parts are still available for the classic two-stroke parallel-twin.

Tim Davies, Suzuki GB Aftersales Marketing Co-ordinator, said, “Our Vintage Parts Programme continues to grow with this recent addition, with the GT250 X7 joining the RGV250, GT750 and the original GSX-R750. We recognise the fact that a lot of people are restoring and riding older machines from Suzuki’s history, and hopefully the Vintage Parts Programme makes doing so easier. We’re delighted to be able to announce the inclusion of another model to the programme, and look forward to seeing some of the projects uploaded to the site, too.”

With a bespoke area of the website dedicated to the programme, Suzuki GB has produced an extensive list of all of the parts still available for the X7 from the factory in Japan, as well as other downloads including service manuals, parts booklets and brochures. There is also an area for users to show off their own projects by uploading their images.

Suzuki Announce All-Star Track Day Return

After the success of last year’s All-Star Track Day, Suzuki has announced its return for 2014, with this year’s event again taking place on Silverstone’s impressive International circuit on Tuesday 5 August.

Operating out of the prestigious Wing pit and paddock complex, the All-Star Track Day will again provide attendees the chance to share the track with Suzuki’s racing stars from British and World Superbikes, with both the Tyco Suzuki team and Voltcom Crescent Suzuki team set to attend.

Riders from both teams, including John Hopkins, Josh Waters, Taylor Mackenzie, William Dunlop, Eugene Laverty and Alex Lowes, will be on hand to provide expert tuition throughout the day, along with three-time British Superbike champion John Reynolds.

Suzuki GB’s General Manager, Paul de Lusignan said of the event, “Our Suzuki track days have become a regular feature in our events calendar, with last year’s event at Silverstone a roaring success and great day out for everyone who attended. At Suzuki we enjoy getting on and riding bikes as much as our customers, so it’s an excellent opportunity to spend a bit more time doing something we all love. Plus it’s a great chance for everyone who comes along to get a bit of instruction and tuition from the guys that do this stuff for a living. The weather was exceptional last year and it was an excellent day, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone who comes along again this year.”

Silverstone’s Donna Ibbot added, “At Silverstone we are once again delighted to partner with Suzuki for the All-StarTtrack Day. The 2013 day proved to be such a success that we had many enquiries directly after to book for the 2014 date.”

Those who attend will also get a £10 food voucher on the day, a goody bag, and optional tours of Silverstone’s iconic Wing complex. Merchandise from Suzuki’s 2014 range will be available to purchase on the day too, including Tyco Suzuki and Voltcom Crescent Suzuki team-wear. There will also be the chance to win a pair of limited edition, Suzuki and Silverstone engraved watches worth £600.

Riders on the day will be split into three groups, Streetsport One, Streetsport Two and Streetsport Three, with spaces costing £139.

Official Tyco Suzuki GSX-R600 Replica Announced

Suzuki GB has announced a limited run of GSX-R600 Tyco Suzuki replicas, after Guy Martin and WIlliam Dunlop took the iconic supersport machine to podium placed finishes at this year’s North West 200 and Isle of Man TT.

The machines have been put together with the help of TAS Racing, who have taken the GSX-R600 to two British Supersport Championship titles as well as a number of podiums and race wins on the roads too, including victory at this year’s Spring Cup at Oliver’s Mount in the hands of Martin.

The GSX-R600 comes with a Tyco Suzuki replica paint scheme – put together by the same people responsible for the team’s race bike livery – a Yoshimura R11 silencer, Genuine Suzuki double-bubble race screen, pillion seat cowl, as well as a Suzuki paddock stand.

Suzuki GB General Manager Paul de Lusignan said, “After a strong start to the year for the team and the GSX-R600, with Guy Martin winning the supersport race at the Ian Watson Spring Cup and both riders taking podiums on the bike at the North West 200 and Isle of Man TT, we’re delighted to announce a limited run of these Tyco Suzuki replicas. These bikes offer a great chance to get your hands on a machine prepped by the same team that prepare bikes for Martin and Dunlop, and also adds that little extra to the already highly-regarded GSX-R600.”

The GSX-R600 Tyco Suzuki replica comes with an RRP of £10,249, and is included in the current £750 Cash Deposit Paid campaign. They will be arriving in dealerships from mid-July.
