Electric Motorcycle Vmoto – Super Soco Slashes Prices By £700

Following the announcement that the UK’s best-selling electric motorcycle brand, Super Soco (Vmoto), will now be distributed directly by the manufacturer, the company has unveiled a ‘launch’ sale taking £700 off every model, a massive saving on these already affordable machines.

The promotion, which lasts until the end of July, marks the distinction of the brand becoming manufacturer owned in the UK.

The restructuring plan affects all UK imported models currently in stock, including the ‘perfect for the campsite’ CU Mini, the dual battery, city commuter CPX and the café racer styled TC Max. It also includes the new for 2023 Hunter & Wanderer models.

A selection of the range can be tested at the forthcoming Devitt Insurance MCN Festival of Motorcycling, held at the East of England Arena on 13-14th May 2023.

The new plans also support the Vmoto Soco UK dealer network with dealership’s given extra support with increased warranty work rates and improved business terms.

All in all it’s a great time to get onboard an electric scooter or motorcycle with the Vmoto – Super Soco ranges.

Super Soco-Vmoto UK Acquired by Manufacturer

UK’s biggest selling electric motorcycle distributor (Super Soco-Vmoto UK) acquired by manufacturer.

The UK’s best-selling electric motorcycle brand, Super Soco (Vmoto) has been strategically bought out by the manufacturer (Vmoto Soco Group), to guarantee long term stability to owners and dealers.

The UK distributor, which has promoted the brand since 2015 to make it synonymous with electric bikes, will now be known as Vmoto Soco UK.

A new range of machines, available from just £1,699, will continue to sell under the Super Soco name, alongside newly introduced premium Vmoto branded models such as the newly launched and well-received ‘Stash’ machine. Additionally, dedicated Vmoto fleet models will further extend the important fleet sales opportunity for delivery bikes.

With electric scooters and lower output motorcycles continuing to grow in popularity, these product ranges of dealer sold and delivery fleet models should bolster this vibrant sector of the UK market.

Vmoto Soco Group Managing Director Mr Charles Chen said, “This is a strategic acquisition that provides Vmoto with direct access to over 50 active B2C dealers in the UK, which is an important EV market for the company and will allow Vmoto to further expand its presence in the UK with an established management team. Direct sales to the B2C dealers will also allow Vmoto to grow the UK market share with more focused support.”

Andy Fenwick, Managing Director, Vmoto UK Distribution Limited commented; “Super Soco has become very well known amongst electric bike fans in the UK and our dealer network has made great strides in building brand confidence, so it is great that the manufacturer itself has invested into the distributor.”

Clive Mann Vmoto Soco UK Sales Director added “This acquisition is a potential game changer for the UK two wheel EV market, allowing for us to push the Vmoto Super Soco as a manufacturer owned brand to the next level. Our aim is for this to benefit all, dealers, the environment and ultimately the end customer, the rider”

Super Soco Launches New Model Set To Redefine Urban Mobility

The UK’s best-selling electric motorcycle brand, Super Soco, has introduced a brand-new model that provides a realistic and affordable alternative to e-bikes and e-scooters for urban mobility. The Super Soco CU mini offers the brand’s market-leading technology at the accessible price of just £1,699*.

The launch of the CU mini sees Super Soco further strengthen its position as the UK’s premier provider of lightweight electric powered-two wheelers (e-PTWs). The nimble and efficient model is set to redefine just how simple it can be to get around the city or town in a safe, efficient and environmentally responsible way.
Electric motorcycles are governed by the same licensing and road laws already in existence for their petrol-powered equivalents, so unlike other commuting options such as e-scooters, the CU mini fits seamlessly into the transport network with no disruption.

While e-bikes are restricted to a top speed of just 15mph in the UK, the CU mini’s 600-watt motor provides a top speed of 25mph, allowing effortless and stable progression through city traffic. With safety paramount, the braking system offers impressive stopping power from the 130mm front and rear discs.

The CU mini’s gear-free, twist and go operation makes the bike incredibly easy to ride. It is AM licence-compliant and can be ridden upon completion of a one-day Compulsory Basic Training course, or by those who obtained a car licence prior to 2001.
The removable lithium-ion battery is the lightest in its class and offers true flexibility without sacrificing on range. Weighing just 7kg, it can be charged at home or work from any standard three-pin UK plug and can last up to 40km between charges.
Keyless ignition aids ease of operation and an inbuilt alarm and tracking features boast industry-leading security. Coupled with the Super Soco app, riders can track the bike in real time and monitor the state of charge from a mobile device.
With unrivalled build quality, the Super Soco CU mini offers a robust and beautifully packaged statement for the urban commuter. With design cues taken directly from Super Soco’s CUx model, the CU mini is a statement machine.
It is priced £1,699 (inclusive of VAT and a £150 discount via the UK Government’s Office for Zero Emission Vehicles Funding grant), meaning it costs less to purchase than many of the best-selling e-bikes in the UK.

Beat London’s Expanding ULEZ Charge Zone By Switching to Super Soco

As London’s Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) expands on 25 October, thousands of city commuters could be hit with a daily charge of £12.50 if their car or motorcycle does not meet the required standards. One of the best ways to avoid the fee – and save additional money in the long term – is to switch to commuting on a Super Soco electric motorcycle.
As the UK’s best-selling electric motorcycle brand, Super Soco specialises in zero-emission transport that delivers affordable and convenient urban commuting. With potential savings in excess of £3,000 per year, there has never been a better time for city dwellers to make the switch from a fuel-powered vehicle.
From 25 October 2021, London’s ULEZ is expanding from central London to create a single, larger zone up to the inner boundaries of the North and South Circular roads. Anyone travelling in a vehicle that does not meet the required standards for emissions will have to pay £12.50 per day to do so – and unlike the existing Congestion Charge, this includes motorcyclists.
For people working in London and still wishing to commute in a non-compliant car or motorcycle, this could mean paying up to £3,262.50 more per year*, which is a staggering amount on top of other costs including the Congestion Charge, tax, fuel and parking. In contrast, a one-off outlay of just £2,249 could buy a brand-new Super Soco CUx scooter, which is exempt from all charges and road tax, is free to park and costs just 1p per mile to run**.
More and more people are making the switch to electric two-wheelers as they realise not only the lifestyle and financial benefits they offer, but just how accessible they are. All Super Soco models can be ridden upon successful completion of a one-day Compulsory Basic Training course (CBT), and thanks to the lack of gears, the bikes are incredibly simple to operate and ride.
With five 100% electric models in the Super Soco line-up, ranging from the entry-level 50cc-equivalent twist and go CUx scooter and TSx motorcycle to the 125cc-equivalent CPx maxi scooter and TC and TC Max motorcycles, there’s something for every urban commuter’s needs. Each model features easily removable batteries that can be charged from a domestic three-pin plug within 3-4 hours.
Prices range from £2,249 to £4,699 inclusive of 20% discount via the UK Government’s Office for Zero Emission Vehicles Funding (OZEF) grant. For more information on Super Soco or to find your nearest dealer, visit www.supersoco.co.uk
*based on an average working year of 261 days
**Electricity currently costs approximately £0.12 to £0.18 per kWh, so based on charge time the Super Soco CPx costs less than 1p per mile to run.

Super Soco Becomes First Electric PTW Brand in the UK to Surpass 1000 Sales in Single Year

Super Soco has become the first-ever electric motorcycle and scooter brand in the UK to sell over 1000 units in a single year, showing that there is an increasing desire for zero emission urban transport that is convenient, reliable and safe.
The company, which specialises in small-capacity, zero-emission electric machines for urban use, surpassed the record-breaking figure at the end of August. It has sold 1028 machines in 2021 so far to strengthen its position as the UK’s fastest-growing and best-selling electric powered two-wheeler (e-PTW) brand.
The achievement comes on the back of a strong 18 months for both Super Soco and electric motorcycle sales overall. This has been driven partly by consumers seeking a safer way to travel during the pandemic, coupled with an increase in environmental awareness and the desire for zero emission urban transport that is both properly legislated, and which – thanks to removable batteries – doesn’t rely on the existing public charging infrastructure.
In 2020, MCIA figures showed that e-PTW registrations were 51.2% up on the previous year, while Super Soco’s own sales have increased by a huge 478% in 2021. The brand is leading the charge in the electric category, accounting for an impressive 26.78% of all e-PTW registrations for the year-to-date. Its 125cc-equivalent CPx maxi scooter is the UK’s best-selling electric machine, with 698 units registered so far this year, while its TC Max café-racer style motorcycle has enjoyed a 70% increase in sales compared to 2020.
MCIA statistics also show that Super Soco – which was only launched in the UK in 2017 – is ranked as the 17th best-selling powered two-wheeler brand overall, beating well-established petrol-powered giants such as Aprilia and Husqvarna. With the Department for Transport banning the sale of all new petrol motorcycles from 2035, the increasing appearance of electric marques in the best-selling list could signify that the gradual shift to e-PTWs is already underway.
Prices range from £2,249 to £4,249 inclusive of 20% discount via the UK Government’s Office for Zero Emission Vehicles Funding (OZEF) grant. For more information on Super Soco or to find your nearest dealer, visit www.supersoco.co.uk
Richard Jordan, CEO of Super Soco UK
“We are obviously very pleased as a company to have reached this sales milestone after four years of hard work to establish the brand in the UK, but more than that, we are really excited about what it means for the electric industry as a whole. No electric powered-two wheeler brand has ever sold this many units in a single year before and it really goes to prove that the shift from petrol to electric is beginning to take hold. Our particular focus is of course on urban mobility and the fact that Super Soco offers an efficient, affordable, convenient and zero emission way of travelling in towns and cities right now, without major safety concerns or the worry that public infrastructure doesn’t support it. It’s a no-brainer for environmentally-aware commuters and we’re happy that the message is now translating into real life situations”

Super Soco Enters Maxi Scooter Market With Powerful New CPx

The UK’s most popular electric motorcycle brand, Super Soco, is expanding its product range even further with the all new CPx, a 125cc equivalent maxi scooter that makes city commuting an ease. The nimble two seater scooter offers up to 80 miles on one charge (two batteries) and costs just £3,599 with the OLEV plug-in Motorcycle Grant.
As commuters begin returning to work, there has been a growing demand for alternative modes of transport outside of the traditional trains, buses and underground. Super Soco, the best-selling electric motorcycle brand in the UK, has noticed a sharp increase in the number of new riders looking for a clean, green and cost-effective alternative. The company is now excited to be expanding its product range even further with a move into the maxi scooter market with the new CPx.
The all-new two seater machine has been created to provide commuters across rural and urban environments with a fast, nimble ride. Equivalent to a 125cc petrol scooter, the CPx has capacity for two 60V, 45Ah batteries, which combined can give a range of up to 80 miles and a top speed of 56mph, ensuring it is suitable for A roads.
All Super Soco machines are designed with removable batteries, allowing commuters to easily remove them after arriving at work and charge them whilst at their desk. The CPx batteries are able to be fully charged in just three and a half hours.
In order to traverse the hustle and bustle of a major city, the CPx comes with telescopic front forks and a hydraulic monoshock rear shock absorber, ensuring it is incredibly nimble through traffic. With a seat height of 760mm, and weighing just 107kg, the CPx is suitable for riders of all statures.
The scooter is able to be ridden on UK roads with just a CBT and an L plate, and will be available in dealers from September. The CPx is available in three colours, black, great and silver, and will cost just £3,599 with one battery inclusive of the OLEV plug-in Motorcycle Grant (£4,498.75 without) whilst the two battery version costs £4,699 (£5.875.75 without OLEV).
Andy Fenwick, Super Soco UK, added “We are really excited to finally be launching the CPx. We unveiled it for the first time to the UK market at Motorcycle Live in 2019 and since then it has been our most asked about model. Maxi scooters provide a great way to quickly get around town and the CPx provides a nimble, cost-effective solution for those riders looking to socially distance and discover the benefits two wheels offer.”

Super Soco Look To Further Their Position As The Uk’s No.1 Electric Bike Brand

The UK’s best-selling electric motorcycle brand, Super Soco, continues its expansion with the creation of the new role of National Sales Manager, appointing well known industry figure Darren Soothill from CCM. Soothill will support the company’s 56 dealerships and create initiatives to grow brand presence still further.
The appointment comes just weeks after Super Soco made National news by offering a special scheme for key workers such as doctors and nurses, as essential personnel opted for two wheels whilst avoiding crowded public transport. The brand now has five affordable and highly accessible models with an all-new larger machine hitting the market.
Soothill, from Lancashire, has been in the two and four wheel motor trade all his life, with his family running a car dealership before he turned his own hand to car importing. He then moved into the bike industry, mixing business with pleasure, as he raced competitively including at the Isle of Man TT. Two stints with the British brand CCM saw Soothill widen his knowledge of the motorcycle industry before his decision to join Super Soco.
For more information visit www.supersoco.co.uk
Darren Soothill explained his move, “I’m really excited by the opportunity to join Super Soco at this crucial time for electric motorcycles. Where I live, we can see across the water to the Isle of Man for the first time in living memory as the recent decreased traffic and pollution has had an effect. To me that seems a highly visible reason to go electric, along with the cost savings.
It feels like the UK is ready for a change and Super Soco are clearly in a strong position with a good range of machines backed up by technical and marketing support, so I’m looking to add my own knowledge, to make sure we capitalize on this moment.”
Andy Fenwick, Super Soco UK, added “We’ve had a really strong 2020 even with the fairly obvious challenges thrown at us all and we’re ready to make the next step in our journey as a serious player in the motorcycle industry.
We have a good model line-up and keen dealer network but need to give those dealers more focus. Darren is the man to do that as he brings an enthusiastic approach to dealer and customer support. We are confident he is going to take us to the next level as we look to increase our sales reach whilst improving the professionalism of our customer experience.”

Super Soco Keep Britain Moving Safely As Key Workers

In these difficult times, Super Soco, Britain’s most popular electric motorcycle brand, is helping to keep key workers moving as doctors, nurses and other essential personnel opt for two wheels and avoid crowded public transport. To help support those working on the front line during the COVID-19 outbreak, Super Soco is now offering all key workers a 10% discount on any of its range of electric bikes.
As the UK enters its second week of lockdown, a number of essential key workers are opting to use Super Socoelectric motorcycles for their commute. Doctors, nurses and other essential workers, who keep the country moving, are discovering the green and clean benefits that commuting by electric motorcycle brings, particularly compared to using public transport.
Cities such as London have significantly reduced commuter services, forcing workers into crowded carriages and busses. However, with the majority of people staying at home, roads have never been quieter; making it now faster and safer to ride to work. Super Soco bikes easily cover the vast majority of commuting distances, making them the perfect option for those wishing to adhere to the new social distancing norms.
Non-motorcyclists can get riding with a Super Soco very easily as the majority of models can be ridden on a car licence (pre-2001) with no additional training. The less congested streets also mean its never been a better time for new riders to feel confident and make that change to two wheels.
The rechargeable batteries in Super Soco bikes are removable with carry handles, making them easy to charge from any 3 pin socket in the home, garage or workplace. This completely eliminates the need to stop and fuel up at petrol stations with no need to touch dirty or contaminated pumping equipment, so ensuring Super Soco riders’ journeys are both self-contained and self-sufficient.
Aniko Deierl, a Consultant Neonatologist at Imperial College, London explained, “I decided to buy a Super Soco TC Max because I’ve always wanted something with the look and feel of a big bike, while being light and manageable in traffic.  Also, I like to be very environmentally friendly.
I live in Harrow and work at St Mary’s Hospital Paddington, in neonatal intensive care.  My Super Soco has halved the time of my commute, and the smooth ride gives me 20 minutes to think at the beginning and end of the day.
If I wasn’t on the Super Soco I’d likely be on the train or driving, both of which involve significantly greater risks of Coronavirus transmission. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Super Soco to other key workers.”
Eager to help out those people working on the frontline during the coronavirus outbreak, Super Soco is giving all key workers a 10% discount on any of its five electric motorcycles. The offer is currently available through participating dealers, including Midland Scooters in Nottingham, Urban Ebikes in London, Whatever Wheels in Blackburn, MotoUK in Staffordshire and Discount Motoring in Glasgow.
Andy Fenwick, Super Soco UK, added “Since the UK went into lockdown, we have been amazed at how many key workers have come forward to say they are using their Super Soco motorcycles for their commute. We’ve made new sales to numerous doctors and other key workers and look forward to helping keep them on the road and working.  Our affordable machines are a great way to maintain social distance whilst travelling, and with the roads being quieter than ever it is the perfect time to enjoy all the benefits that riding electric motorcycles brings.”

Super Soco Brings All-New 2020 Range To Motorcycle Live

The largest electric motorcycle manufacturer in the UK, Super Soco, is bringing its entire 2020 range to Motorcycle Live. Alongside the popular TC Max and CUx, will be two brand new models; the CPx and TSX. Based in Hall 4, Stand 4C25 those visiting the show are encouraged to stop by the stand to learn more about the future of motorcycling.

Since its debut in the UK in 2017, Super Soco has consistently been the best-selling electric motorcycle brand in the UK thanks to its urban-focused, cost-effective machines. After launching two new models at the 2018 Motorcycle Live show, the company will be giving a further two machines their UK debut at the 2019 event.

Unveiled at EICMA, the all-new CPx is the latest model joining the Super Soco range. Equivalent to a petrol powered 125cc machine, the CPx is the ultimate commuter, capable of up to 85 miles and a top speed of 55mph. There’s room for two 60V/45Ah batteries, which work in parallel with each other and can be fully recharged in just three and a half hours. The motor provides an incredible 4,000W and a starting torque of 171Nm.

The scooter includes a sturdy luggage rack and a 2 litre storage area, as well as a USB charging port perfect for keeping the phone or sat-nav topped up. Designed to be used all-year round, the front lights illuminates up to 75 metres ahead to ensure visibility on the darkest nights whilst a unique reverse button helps make manoeuvring around town even easier.

Coming in grey with various trim options, the machine is incredibly lightweight weighing just 135KG with both batteries installed and comes with alloy rims as standard. The CPx will be available early 2020 and will cost approximately £3,599.

Joining the CPx is the all-new TSX, a 50cc equivalent machine designed for beginner riders. With a full motorcycle frame, the lightweight machine weighs just 70kg, provides a range of up to 40 miles on one charge and has a top speed of 28mph. An optional second battery can increase the range to 80 miles and both batteries can be fully charged in under eight hours. The Streetfighter design is available in a wide range of colours and will cost £2,999.

Alongside the two new models, Super Soco will also be exhibiting the in-demand TC Max model, which has sold over 150 units since its launch in July, as well as the TS and TC machines. Also on display will be the CUx scooter, which alongside a range of base colours also comes in a specially licenced Ducati Limited Edition colour scheme.

Richard Jordan, founder of Super Soco in the UK said, “We’re really excited to be heading back to Motorcycle Live with two brand new models. Last year, we had a lot of interest from the public and journalists alike and we’re looking forward to welcoming them back this year. 2019 has been our biggest year to date, with more machines sold than ever before alongside welcoming even more dealers into our growing distribution network.”

Super Soco Unveils Limited Edition CUx Ducati Edition

Britain’s most popular electric motorcycle brand Super Soco has unveiled a new Limited Edition CUx Ducati electric scooter to celebrate the recent worldwide licence agreement between the two brands.

Launched in the UK in 2017, Super Soco offers urban riders a fast, fun, cost-effective and emission free way to get about town. In 2018, the company became the first electric motorcycle manufacturer to sell over 100 units; securing over 25% of the overall market and over 33% of the L1 Class.

Unveiling the CUx electric moped at EICMA in 2018, the standard version arrived in UK Dealers in March and has been an immediate hit with commuters and journalists alike. The all-new limited edition CUx Ducati comes in the iconic Bologna manufacturer’s red, and features a 60V/30Ah Lithium Battery and a 1.3KW Bosch Motor. Weighing just 70kg, the scooter offers a range of 40 miles on one charge whilst the removable battery can be fully recharged in under seven hours; making the machine a perfect alternative for commuters tired of crowded trains.

The machine features a carbon structural steel frame, which gives less vibration and increased comfort, and an all-in-one wing-style LED tail lights maximise visibility of the rider and bike to other road users. The machine has been ergonomically designed to allow riders to easily touch the ground whilst still allowing those over 180cm the room to stretch freely.

Highly energy efficient, the CUX features an intelligent high-brightness dash display whilst the battery management system protects the battery from over-charge and discharge as well as offering over-current protection and short-circuit protection. The CUx Ducati machine will cost £2,299, whilst the standard version comes in at £2,099 (both prices after government grant).

Andy Fenwick, Super Soco UK, added “We’re very excited to launch this special Ducati version of our CUx moped, a stunning representation of the Italian brand and helps to add even more credibility to the Soco range. The standard version has already been incredibly popular since its launch only two months ago so we’re looking forward to giving riders the chance to purchase this limited edition version.”

Super Soco Tops 2018 Electric Motorcycle Charts… With Two Exciting New Models On The Way

Super Soco has cemented its impressive growth in the UK by topping the overall sales figures for 2018, becoming the first electric motorcycle brand to sell over 100 units in a year, with an even stronger showing predicted this year and two exciting new models on their way.

Since arriving in the UK in 2017, the Super Soco brand has steadily grown as motorcyclists and commuters switch to eco-friendly electric motorcycles. A rapidly expanding dealer network in 2018 has seen the manufacturer continue to grow and lead the way in the UK in terms of number of machines sold. The TS1200R, Super Soco’s first machine, together with the newer and faster TC sold over 100 units during 2018, taking over 25% of the overall market and over 33% of the L1 class market.

Super Soco will expand its range even further during 2019 with two exciting new models. Arriving in dealers mid-February is the CU-X electric scooter, which enjoys a range of up to 40 miles on one charge and weighs just 70kg. Costing £2,099 (with government grant), the stylish scooter has been ergonomically designed to allow riders to easily touch the ground whilst still allowing those over 180cm the room to stretch freely.

In April, the fastest and most powerful Super Soco model to date will arrive in dealers. The TC Max offers a top speed of 60mph and acceleration to rival the fastest petrol 125cc machines. Its 72v, 45Ah lithium-ion battery fully charges in just four and half hours and offers a maximum range of 80 miles (based on ideal summer conditions, at a constant 30mph). Target cost for this machine is £3,999 (with government grant).

Richard Jordan, founder of Super Soco in the UK said, “We’re really pleased to confirm the total number of units sold in 2018, and to become the first electric motorcycle brand to sell over 100 machines in a year. More and more people, both existing riders and non-motorcyclists, are seeing the benefits of electric powered machines and with two new models arriving this year we’re looking forward to more people joining the eco-friendly revolution!”

Super Soco Debut New Electric Scooter

Britain’s most popular electric motorcycle manufacturer Super Soco has unveiled its latest model; a lightweight moped called the CUX. Arriving in dealers in March, the Scooter weighs just 70kg and offers a range of 40 miles.

Continuing its expansion, Super Soco is launching two new models in 2019; starting with the CUX moped. Featuring a 60V/30Ah Lithium Battery and a 1.3KW Bosch Motor, the scooter weighs just 70kg and offers a maximum speed of 28mph and a range of 40 miles on one charge. The battery can be fully recharged in under seven hours meaning commuters can ride the machine to work, charge the removable battery and then ride home again.

Unveiled at EICMA last year, the stylish scooter features a carbon structural steel frame which offers less vibration and increased comfort, all-in-one wing-style LED tail lights and has been ergonomically designed to allow riders to easily touch the ground whilst still allowing those over 180cm the room to stretch freely.

Highly energy efficient, the CUX features an intelligent high-brightness dash display whilst the battery management system protects the battery from over-charge and discharge as well as offering over-current protection and short-circuit protection. The CUX will be available in Moonlight White, Ferrarier Red, Starlight Silver and Space Gray and will cost £2,099 (after government grant).

Alongside the CUX, Super Soco’s fastest and most powerful motorcycle to date will be launched in May; the TC Max. With a top speed of over 60mph and acceleration to rival the fastest petrol 125cc bikes, the machine targets a more aggressive rider whilst the removable, 72v and 45Ah lithium-ion battery fully charges in just four and half hours and offers a maximum range of 80 miles.
