Energica EVA EsseEsse9 / EVA EsseEsse9+

Energica EVA EsseEsse9/ EVA EsseEsse9+:The first “classic” electric motorcycle

POWER: 80 kW – 109 hp
TORQUE: 200 Nm – 148 ft lb
TOP SPEED: 200 km/h – 125 mph

The classically refined version of our Eva streetfighter.

Eva EsseEsse9 is inspired by the real name of Via Emilia, historic road crossing the Italian Motor Valley. Via Emilia is one of the oldest Italian roads, built by the Roman consul Marco Emilio Lepido in 187 BC to connect Rimini to Piacenza.

You might say that the Italian tradition of combining beautiful design with practical engineering goes back a long, long way.

Yet this beauty is merely a skin for the beast that lurks beneath.

Immense torque and acceleration are tamed by top-end Brembo brakes and Marzocchi suspension, switchable Bosch ABS, Energica eABS and adjustable traction control, all directed by our VCU (Vehicle Control Unit) – the most developed engine technology available.

Like all our motorcycles, the Eva EsseEsse9 has an exclusive feature: Slow Charge and DC Fast Charge capability provided as standard equipment to the rider; and in the Eva EsseEsse9+ version, 400 km of city range, 230 km of combined city and highway range, and 180 km of highway riding: no motorcycle in this class has greater range – or faster charging, at least 82% faster than any other electric motorcycle on the market.

Relaxed, refined, easy to ride, and very, very beautiful – yet loaded with power.
Classic Italian Style

ENERGICA EVA EsseEsse9

The classic Energica Eva EsseEsse9 is a brave, enthusiastic and heartful motorcycle on which the structural components are on sight.

Powered by an oil-cooled, permanent magnet three-phase AC electric motor the Eva EsseEsse9 has no engine vibes but the Italian machine has character all of its own.

In Eva EsseEsse9 Man and Progress have finally found what they’re always looking for: technology and passion.

ENERGICA EVA EsseEsse9+

Torque bumps up to 200 Nm., but what most riders will especially savor is the larger 21.5 kW max. battery on the Eva EsseEsse9+. 62% more capacity model means you now have more far range than any other electric motorcycle on public roads: a stunning 400 km for meandering through City streets, 230 km on call for your mixed urban and freeway travel, and 180 km for really rapid exploration of your throttle’s highway potential.

On top of this, the Energica charges at least 82% faster than any other electric motorcycle, so you don’t just get to your destination more speedily, you are back on your way more quickly as well.

Energica Eva Ribelle

Energica Eva Ribelle: The first 100% electric streetfighter

POWER: 107 kW – 145 hp
TORQUE: 215 Nm – 159 ft lb
TOP SPEED: 200 km/h – 125 mph

A streetfighter for the Electric Revolution. Back to the barricades.

Naked has never been so much fun

Sometimes you want aggressive with a little more of an urban vibe. Or you want an assertive riding position without assuming the full race bike crouch. Maybe you won’t spend as much time on the track or long highway sweepers, but more on tight country roads. Or you’re riding to work every day and want to walk in with a smile on your face.

But: you don’t want to give up on power or torque, or get shorted on style and technology. Yet for certain you don’t want to add to the pollution of the urban environment.
That’s what the Eva Ribelle is: a hard-edged performance motorcycle for rebels riders.

The Energica electric streetfighter fits this bill perfectly. It has the same linear 215 Nm torque at the Ego, the same 21.5 kW long-range lithium-ion battery with up to 400 km of city range, the same suspension and performance options, and all of the technological amenities.

It’s the only electric naked bike with DC Fast Charge, filling up with over 6 km urban range for every minute spent DC Charging – faster by at least 82% than any other electric bike.

ENERGICA EVA RIBELLE
Instant acceleration, sustained power, longer range. And more grins.

The Eva riding position is more upright than the Ego but still assertive, as befits a true streetfighter. Foot peg position is precisely the same; but handlebars are much wider and straighter, with a higher vantage point and field of vision. A slightly lower seat height also makes the Eva the ideal electric streetfighter for urban riding or commuting in heavy traffic.

Harley-Davidson Pushes EV Technology To The Edges Of The Earth With The 2020 Livewire Motorcycle

The Harley-Davidson LiveWire® model is an exhilarating electric motorcycle that pushes the boundaries of performance, technology and design in the two-wheel world. When an opportunity presented itself to Harley-Davidson to showcase the LiveWire motorcycle’s capabilities and performance in the most extreme conditions, H-D seized the challenge for the unheralded 13,000 mile off-road trek. The process to accomplish this journey is documented through Harley-Davidson’s podcast series.

Listen to the H-D Podcast on Apple Podcasts and Spotify and subscribe to get new episodes of the show automatically each week.

This six-part series documents how near-production LiveWire models were modified to shred dirt roads, single track, and desert trails over 13,000 miles of extreme off-road conditions.

“Harley-Davidson stands for the timeless pursuit of adventure,” said Jochen Zeitz, Chairman, President and CEO, Harley-Davidson. This podcast series is a premier showcase for how Harley-Davidson’s talented staff of engineers and designers go above and beyond in their mission to create motorcycles that unlock adventures wherever they may lead. These efforts can be experienced in the 2020 LiveWire – a shining example of how Harley-Davidson innovates to lead in the electrification of motorcycling. It’s an experience that can only be truly understood after riding it.”

Utilising the same talented Harley-Davidson engineers and designers that developed the LiveWire motorcycle, a select group was assembled from the broader development team to modify near-production LiveWire models to complete the journey.

Together, this team designed, modified, and assembled a motorcycle in under 30 days. After initial testing, the team incorporated feedback to finalise ergonomic and storage systems on the bikes. In 60 days, the motorcycles were headed to the southern tip of Argentina.

The modified LiveWire motorcycles used production specification RESS (Rechargeable Energy Storage System) hardware, chassis, and Harley-Davidson Revelation™ powertrain components.  In addition, the motorcycles were modified with prototype rotors, wheels, and tyres from the upcoming Harley-Davidson Pan America™ adventure touring motorcycle, and custom windshield, rear shock, and triple clamps made specifically for this project.

Before delivery, both modified LiveWire motorcycles were evaluated at Harley-Davidson’s Willie G. Davidson Product Development Center for initial testing and ridden under similar development validation conditions at Harley-Davidson’s Proving Grounds facility.

In recent weeks, the LiveWire has been put through its paces closer to home with hundreds of UK customers getting to grips with the electric machine as part of a LiveWire Tour at specialist Harley-Davidson UK EV dealers. Riders and non-riders have tried out the motorcycle on the innovative Jumpstart® rolling road with most licence holders choosing to extend the experience with a full demo ride.

There’s just one opportunity left to book limited slots on the LiveWire Tour at Leeds Harley-Davidson® on Saturday 3rd October, but for those who miss out, you can still experience the thrill and seamless acceleration of the motorcycle at the centre of the adventure, with a pre-booked test ride at an authorised, specialist LiveWire Harley-Davidson® dealership near you.

Zero Motorcycles complete successful ‘Bums on Seats’ UK tour

Zero Motorcycles, the world’s leading all-electric motorbike brand, enjoyed a hugely successful UK demo tour, giving over 450 British motorcyclists an opportunity to try out an electric motorcycle for the first time.

Taking place at 16 venues across England, Scotland and Wales, the tour took place from August 27 through to September 18. Dubbed ‘Bums on Seats’ it saw a selection of models from the Zero range, from the sub £10,000 11kw models to the range-topping SR/F and SR/S electric sportsbikes available for guided taster rides. The tour gave motorcyclists an opportunity to understand better the characteristics of electric motorcycles and to help them overcome any preconceptions they may have about switching to electric.

Speaking about the tour, which was carried out in collaboration with the rapidly expanding Zero Motorcycles dealer network, Dale Robinson, Zero Motorcycles’ Country Manager commented: “To truly understand a Zero you have to ride one for yourself, which is why getting bums on seats plays such an important role in helping to get electric motorcycles into the mainstream. Several bikes were sold as a result of the demo days, from customers who had shown an interest in upgrading to electric but who wanted an opportunity to try out several models and discuss living with them before putting a deposit down. Just as importantly, we now have 450 new advocates of the brand and our products, and they will be able to go away and tell their friends about the positive experience they have had on an electric motorcycle. This is particularly important in 2020, where we will be unable to meet with customers and prospective customers at Motorcycle Live due to the Covid situation.”

Prospective purchasers will still be able to arrange a demonstration ride at any one of the 21 official Zero Motorcycles dealers on the British Isles and Ireland, the latest addition being Scooterised in Willesden, North West London, which has joined the network this week.

Soriano Motori: The Next Generation of EV Motorcycles

GIAGUARO V1GARA The Soriano top product is an inspiration from the shapes and colors of its multiple ancestral uniqueness, and aggressive and original look of the 1940’s headlights. This remarkable sleek fairing enhances the exclusive aluminum frame, and entirely racing inspired refinement that only champions can claim.

Soriano Motori Corp is reviving the historic European motorcycle brand established by inventor Ricardo Soriano Scholtz von Hermensdorff II in 1919, with today’s best state-of-the-art technology, mechanical and electrical engineering offered in the field of electric propulsion for vehicles with top well seasoned engineers from the EU and the USA.

Electric mobility is expanding at a rapid pace. The years 2017 and 2018 have, however, been very noteworthy for the EV market. In 2017 was a landmark year for EVs as global sales surpassed one million units for the first time. Studies, including a prominent one by Deloitte estimate that year 2022 will be a tipping point because the price premium for EVs will be eliminated, which will cause a sudden and rapidly rising surge in demand for EVs as a replacement for gas vehicles and ICE (Internal Combustion Engines) in general.

Cost effective, Eco-friendly
We revisit EVs’ charging economics and CO2 intensity post-crisis, concluding:
(1)  EVs are likely to retain their fuel cost advantage, with electricity still >50% cheaper than diesel despite oil price declines;
(2)  Coal phase-out and green stimulus should accelerate the CO2 reduction opportunity, with typical EVs emitting 70% less CO2 vs. diesel by 2030 on our estimates; and
(3)  Charging is likely to feature heavily in EU stimulus with our updated forecasts implying >€100bn spending on equipment/installation by 2040. Electricity brings the final step to motorcycle’s evolution; it makes it possible to construct a perfect near perpetual zero-emissions motorcycle machine.

Design and Performance
State-of-the art technology, aircraft-graded frame, specifically designed to minimize weight and increase strength is our signature patented Soriano duo flex engine – liquid cooled brushless. First time in EVs where our bikes come with 5 gear selections so one would feel the raw power, speed, and acceleration for continuous riding experience with each gear change and an overall optimization of consumption and energy distribution. Our Italian heritage is staying true for what Italy stands for which are high quality, luxurious style, and innovation with superior craftsmanship, unique engineering solutions and distinctive design.

Be part of the Global Soriano Lifestyle Club
The Soriano Owners and Lifestyle Club is all about elegance, sophistication and access to the best VIP service and lifestyle events. Soriano World members will have access to an exclusive club of fashion, racing team, well-known racetracks, and the manufacturing facility factory. The first Soriano Club is planned to open in New York City circa 2022 in a townhouse style for all the local riders, artists, actors, posh businessmen and women of the big apple.

Harley-Davidson LiveWire Motorcycle Sets New World Records at EV Racing Exhibition

Angelle Sampey and LiveWire establish E.T. records for a Production Electric Motorcycle.

A Harley-Davidson® LiveWire® motorcycle set all-new records for elapsed time and top speed by an electric-powered production motorcycle on a drag racing course on 4th September. Harley-Davidson™ Screamin’ Eagle™/Vance & Hines rider and three-time Pro Stock Motorcycle champion, Angelle Sampey stepped off her Harley-Davidson FXDR™ Pro Stock competition motorcycle to pilot the LiveWire bike to capture world record-breaking runs on the quarter and eighth-mile, covering the eighth-mile distance in 7.017 seconds and the full quarter-mile course in just 11.156 seconds at 110.35 mph. The 2020 LiveWire motorcycle’s top speed is limited to 110 mph.

The records were set during exhibition runs at the Denso Spark Plugs NHRA U.S. Nationals at the Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis. This is another great pass at a bold future In Harley-Davidson’s quest to lead the electrification of motorcycles.

“Let me tell you what’s amazing,” said Sampey. “That was the first time I rode the LiveWire. I could not wait to get it on the track. The LiveWire is so easy to ride. Just twist the throttle and go, and you really go!”

Sampey and her Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines teammates, Andrew Hines and Ed Krawiec, made a number of head-to-head drag race runs on stock LiveWire models, with Sampey posting the quickest times. Sampey is the winningest female in motorsports history with three-time Pro Stock Motorcycle championships (2000-2002) and 43 Pro Stock motorcycle wins.

The Harley-Davidson LiveWire motorcycle is an all-new, all-electric model designed to offer riders a thrilling and high-performance motorcycling experience infused with a new level of technology, and the premium look and feel of a Harley-Davidson product. The LiveWire motorcycle is capable of rapid acceleration with just a twist of the throttle – no clutching or gear shifting required.

As Sampey proved at Indy, the instant torque provided by the H-D Revelation™ powertrain delivers exhilarating acceleration from a stop; the LiveWire motorcycle can rush from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 100 kph) in 3.0 seconds and 60 to 80 mph (100 to 129 kph) in 1.9 seconds. Because maximum torque is always on tap, roll-on acceleration for passing from any speed is outstanding. An optimised centre of gravity, rigid aluminium frame and premium adjustable suspension components give the LiveWire motorcycle dynamic handling. With up to 146 miles of range*, performance is optimised for the urban street-rider.

The H-D Revelation™ electric powertrain produces minimal vibration, very little heat, and minimal sound, all of which enhance rider comfort and creates a unique riding experience, even on the drag strip.

Licensed riders can take a complimentary test ride on the LiveWire motorcycle at select Authorised LiveWire Harley-Davidson® dealerships.

Zero Motorcycles rock the Malle Mile

In a summer starved of live motorcycle events due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this weekend’s Malle Mile provided a welcome return to some kind of normality for thousands of British motorcyclists, and Zero Motorcycles was out in force at this gloriously eccentric British race meeting.

Held at the beautiful Kevington Hall, on the outskirts of London, the Malle Mile bills itself as ‘a celebration of the British summertime and motorcycle culture’ focussed around a series of ‘inappropriate, run what you brung’ races on courses laid out around the country house’s spacious grounds.

Last year Zero dealer English Electric Motor Company (EEMC) entered a Zero SR/F fitted with off-road tyres and was promptly banned from competing against the petrol-powered bikes due to the ‘unfair’ advantage gained by its 190Nm of torque and instantaneous power delivery from the twist and go transmission.

This year the Californian company returned, backing the high energy Midnight Mile sprint races for electric motorcycles on both the Friday and Saturday night. Fittingly EEMC employee Simon Crack won both finals on board a lightly modified Zero FXS, which can be ridden on an A1 licence. On Friday he took the honours over EEMC’s mighty Zero SR/F, while on Sunday the lightweight Supermoto machine saw off competition from TV adventurer Charley Boorman, who was riding an electric machine from an American legacy manufacturer.

Speaking about the event, Dale Robinson, Zero Motorcycles’ UK Country Manager said: “It was great to be part of the Malle Mile this year and winning the Midnight Mile was a real cherry on the cake. It’s been a really fun event with pretty much every kind of custom bike you can imagine taking place in the races. As well as all the racing going on through the day, we had a small stand in the Metropolis area and saw a lot of interest in our bikes. After a summer without any events, it was fantastic to finally get out and enjoy our bikes. I’m already looking forward to next year and coming back to defend our title!”

The Malle Mile kicks off a busy four week period for Zero Motorcycles in the UK, with its annual ‘Bums on Seats’ tour kicking off later this week. The popular tour gives motorcyclists an opportunity to try out an all-electric Zero motorcycle on a short guided ride and takes place at 16 venues throughout Great Britain over the next three weeks.

Robinson added: “In past years we have had a very informal system where riders can simply turn up with their licence and riding gear but this year we are advising people to contact us in advance and pre-book a slot, as the Covid-19 protocols mean that places will be more limited, although we will still do our best to accommodate everyone within the social distancing guidelines we have in place.”

Super Soco Enters Maxi Scooter Market With Powerful New CPx

The UK’s most popular electric motorcycle brand, Super Soco, is expanding its product range even further with the all new CPx, a 125cc equivalent maxi scooter that makes city commuting an ease. The nimble two seater scooter offers up to 80 miles on one charge (two batteries) and costs just £3,599 with the OLEV plug-in Motorcycle Grant.
As commuters begin returning to work, there has been a growing demand for alternative modes of transport outside of the traditional trains, buses and underground. Super Soco, the best-selling electric motorcycle brand in the UK, has noticed a sharp increase in the number of new riders looking for a clean, green and cost-effective alternative. The company is now excited to be expanding its product range even further with a move into the maxi scooter market with the new CPx.
The all-new two seater machine has been created to provide commuters across rural and urban environments with a fast, nimble ride. Equivalent to a 125cc petrol scooter, the CPx has capacity for two 60V, 45Ah batteries, which combined can give a range of up to 80 miles and a top speed of 56mph, ensuring it is suitable for A roads.
All Super Soco machines are designed with removable batteries, allowing commuters to easily remove them after arriving at work and charge them whilst at their desk. The CPx batteries are able to be fully charged in just three and a half hours.
In order to traverse the hustle and bustle of a major city, the CPx comes with telescopic front forks and a hydraulic monoshock rear shock absorber, ensuring it is incredibly nimble through traffic. With a seat height of 760mm, and weighing just 107kg, the CPx is suitable for riders of all statures.
The scooter is able to be ridden on UK roads with just a CBT and an L plate, and will be available in dealers from September. The CPx is available in three colours, black, great and silver, and will cost just £3,599 with one battery inclusive of the OLEV plug-in Motorcycle Grant (£4,498.75 without) whilst the two battery version costs £4,699 (£5.875.75 without OLEV).
Andy Fenwick, Super Soco UK, added “We are really excited to finally be launching the CPx. We unveiled it for the first time to the UK market at Motorcycle Live in 2019 and since then it has been our most asked about model. Maxi scooters provide a great way to quickly get around town and the CPx provides a nimble, cost-effective solution for those riders looking to socially distance and discover the benefits two wheels offer.”

Zero powers Midnight Mile – the British all-electric motorcycle race

Zero Motorcycles, the global leader in all-electric motorcycles and powertrains, is to partner with one of 2020’s wildest motorcycle races, hosting the ‘Midnight Mile’ at this month’s Malle Mile.

The Malle Mile is a gloriously eccentric ‘inappropriate motorcycle race and exhibition in motion’ held in the grounds of a 17th century manor house, and electric motorcycles will have their own showcase in the spectacular Zero-backed ‘Midnight Mile’.

While the Malle Mile is an ‘anything goes’ event, Zero found themselves ‘banned’ (politely of course) from racing against their petrol powered rivals in last year’s sprint races, as the 190Nm of instant torque from the Zero SR/F roadster (shod with off-road knobbly tyres, of course) gave it an unfair advantage in the 1/8 mile drag strip laid out in the Hall’s grounds.

The Midnight Mile is exclusively for electric powered motorcycles. As the name suggests, the sprints take place under cover of darkness, but set against the backdrop of a spectacular light and sound display. In the Midnight Mile, competitors are encouraged to don fancy dress and riding gear, and to decorate their ‘inappropriate’ motorcycles with additional lighting.

“The Malle Mile is a unique event and we’re delighted to be involved,” said Dale Robinson, Zero Motorcycles’ UK Country Manager. “It’s a fun and quirky race and a great place to showcase the Zero brand and products. Last year one of our dealers, English Electric Motorcycle Company, put some off-road tyres on their SR/F and entered alongside the petrol bikes, but it was so fast it was politely asked to leave the competition. When we had the chance to get more involved this year we just couldn’t say no!”

As well as the racing, the Malle Mile features Motopolo, literally polo on motorcycles, luxury camping, custom bike exhibitions and motorcycle themed art and photography exhibitions. Also on site will be ‘The Metropolis’ where Zero will be exhibiting some models from its 2020 range.

For more information on the Malle Mile and to purchase tickets, visit: https://mallelondon.com/the-mile/

OLEV Grants Enhance Harley-davidson Livewire as The Ideal Commuter Solution

LiveWire 2018

The zero CO2 emissions motorcycle is now eligible for EVHS grant.

As commuters continue to seek cost-effective and social distanced alternatives to public transport, the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) has reduced some of the cost barriers associated with electric motorcycles. The changes further highlight the benefits of two-wheeled electric vehicles as sustainable options.

OLEV approved low-emissions motorcycles benefit from an additional government incentive “plug-in” grant of 20% of the initial purchase price, up to a maximum of £1,500. In the case of LiveWire® customers, the £1,500 grant is automatically deducted from the list purchase price at time of sale by the supplying Harley-Davidson® dealership.

Customers who are VAT registered and business users can also claim back the 20% VAT associated with business or promotional use purchases.

In addition, the latest OLEV announcements introduced a 12-month continuation of the ‘electric vehicle homecharge scheme’ (EVHS) and the official list of eligible plug-in electric-only cars and vans was also amended to include large electric motorcycles. This means that the electric Harley-Davidson® LiveWire® motorcycle is now eligible for a £350 grant towards the cost of purchasing and installing a dedicated home chargepoint unit.

Plus, the OLEV funded grant is available to places of work under the Workplace Charging Scheme to encourage more employees to go electric in the future.

With dedicated ‘chargepoint’ units, a higher-powered charge is delivered for faster charging and, used in conjunction with a low-economy electricity tariff, enables LiveWire running costs to be reduced.

For further information on the Harley-Davidson LiveWire please visit the dedicated LiveWire pages or contact your local dealer.

To further highlight the benefits of motorcycling in today’s new normal, the biking industry has launched unlockyourfreedom.co.uk to deliver essential information on how to start out on two wheels, from gaining motorcycle licence entitlement to training and much more.

UK Bikers Encouraged to ‘Upgrade to Electric’ with Zero Motorcycles

Zero Motorcycles, the global leader in electric motorcycles and powertrains, is offering an additional £900 incentive to motorcyclists upgrading to the Californian company’s award-winning all-electric machines, meaning savings of £2400 on the list price of the range-topping SR/F and SR/S models.

With the lifting of ‘lockdown’ restrictions and an increased desire from consumers to find socially responsible and self-isolating ways to get around, Zero Motorcycles’ UK dealerships have found record interest in the all-electric range since reopening their doors. The Upgrade to Electric incentive sits alongside the UK Government’s Office for Low Emissions Vehicles (OLEV) grant of £1500, which is available as a discount on all Zero models sold in the UK. That means buyers of the SR/F, MCN’s current Electric Motorcycle of the Year, and the new-for-2020 SR/S can benefit from a whopping £2400 off the retail price of their new machine. Alternatively they can use the Upgrade to Electric credit as a deposit for a PCP or hire purchase deal. All Zero motorcycles also benefit from low running costs and are exempt from Vehicle Excise Duty (road tax) and any local low emissions zone or congestion charges, making them a cost effective day-to-day transport solution.

“There’s no doubt that 2020 has been a challenging year for our dealers, who have been forced to shut for months on end during the Covid-19 crisis. Most are now open again and the early feedback we are hearing is that interest in our models continues to rise,” said Umberto Uccelli, Managing Director and Vice President of Zero Motorcycles’ EMEA operations.

“We’re finding that the past few months has changed many people’s perspective on many things in life and by introducing this incentive we hope that it will encourage riders to Upgrade to Electric, whether they are new to motorcycling or returning after a break, as well as existing ICE riders looking for a new and very special experience.”

Zero currently has a retail network of 18 outlets across the British Isles, with each dealership offering demo rides of the transformational machines to prospective customers. The SR/S was released as a new model in February and joins the SR/F as the company’s flagship product. The effortlessly powerful motorcycles are driven by Zero’s proprietary powertrain, which produces an astounding 110 hp and 190Nm of torque. Each model can charge through any wall socket or at over 90% of the public EV charge network through fast, Level 2 chargers. With up to 18kwh of battery capacity, the Zero models are capable of up to 201 city miles of range per charge with the optional Power Tank fitted, while the sleek and aerodynamic full fairing of the SR/S allows for up to 13% more range when riding in a tucked position. Additionally, each bike is powered by Zero’s proprietary operating system, Cypher III, which controls every subordinate technology on the bike including the full complement of Bosch Motorcycle Stability Controls like straight line and cornering ABS, Drag Torque Control, and Traction Control.

With discounts applied, prices start at £16,590 for the SR/F, and £17,190 for the SR/S. Buyers are also able to take advantage of Hire Purchase and PCP (Personal Contract Purchase) plans through Zero’s UK finance partner, MotoNovo, and buyers are able to purchase an SR/F for less than £300 per month with no money down (see example below).

The Upgrade to Electric promotion ends on August 15, 2020. Full details of the 2020 range can be found at www.zeromotorcycles.com/uk where prospective purchasers can also find details of their local dealership.

Super Soco Look To Further Their Position As The Uk’s No.1 Electric Bike Brand

The UK’s best-selling electric motorcycle brand, Super Soco, continues its expansion with the creation of the new role of National Sales Manager, appointing well known industry figure Darren Soothill from CCM. Soothill will support the company’s 56 dealerships and create initiatives to grow brand presence still further.
The appointment comes just weeks after Super Soco made National news by offering a special scheme for key workers such as doctors and nurses, as essential personnel opted for two wheels whilst avoiding crowded public transport. The brand now has five affordable and highly accessible models with an all-new larger machine hitting the market.
Soothill, from Lancashire, has been in the two and four wheel motor trade all his life, with his family running a car dealership before he turned his own hand to car importing. He then moved into the bike industry, mixing business with pleasure, as he raced competitively including at the Isle of Man TT. Two stints with the British brand CCM saw Soothill widen his knowledge of the motorcycle industry before his decision to join Super Soco.
For more information visit www.supersoco.co.uk
Darren Soothill explained his move, “I’m really excited by the opportunity to join Super Soco at this crucial time for electric motorcycles. Where I live, we can see across the water to the Isle of Man for the first time in living memory as the recent decreased traffic and pollution has had an effect. To me that seems a highly visible reason to go electric, along with the cost savings.
It feels like the UK is ready for a change and Super Soco are clearly in a strong position with a good range of machines backed up by technical and marketing support, so I’m looking to add my own knowledge, to make sure we capitalize on this moment.”
Andy Fenwick, Super Soco UK, added “We’ve had a really strong 2020 even with the fairly obvious challenges thrown at us all and we’re ready to make the next step in our journey as a serious player in the motorcycle industry.
We have a good model line-up and keen dealer network but need to give those dealers more focus. Darren is the man to do that as he brings an enthusiastic approach to dealer and customer support. We are confident he is going to take us to the next level as we look to increase our sales reach whilst improving the professionalism of our customer experience.”

SEAT Launches of Three New Electric Scooters

SEAT spearheads urban mobility transformation with the launch of three new electric scooters.

SEAT is offering new mobility solutions which meet the needs of cities and its residents and commuters, launching three electric urban mobility vehicles: the series production of the SEAT MÓ eScooter125 (electric motorcycle) and the SEAT MÓ eKickScooter65 and eKickScooter25 (electric scooter).

Each offers a different approach to mobility, but highlights the changing face of how we travel around cities.

As the Department for Transport begins studies into the feasibility and viability of allowing electric scooters to be used on pavement, cycle lanes and public roads by trialling rental schemes, such as those seen in other European cities, the SEAT MÓ vehicles will be the perfect solution. Subject to successful completion of the trials and being legalised, SEAT will make these vehicles available to purchase across the UK.

The SEAT MÓ eScooter125, the brand’s first all-electric motorcycle, making traversing towns and cities simpler and more convenient. Its advanced electric powertrain better fits a world that is evolving and moving away from the conventional. The SEAT MÓ eKickScooter65 is an electric scooter, ideal for the final leg of a journey into a city, that will be used by private users while supporting collaborative and shared mobility.

SEAT MÓ eScooter125

The World Premiere of the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 shows the brand’s boldness and determination to meet the changing needs of customers as they try to navigate our urban streets. Underneath its compact design is an electric motorcycle created to provide an accessible and convenient method of transportation.

The aesthetic is emboldened by its colour palette, the eScooter125 will be available in three exclusive matte colours: ‘Daring Red’, ‘Dark Aluminium’ and ‘Oxygen White’.

Integrated into its rear wheel is an 9kW electric motor (peak power) – equivalent to a 125cc motorcycle – that produces 240Nm of torque, giving the city electric motorcycle a top speed of up to 59mph (95km/h) and a 0-31mph (50km/h) acceleration time of only 3.9 seconds.

Customers can choose between three driving modes: City, Sport and Eco, as well as a reverse gear to make manoeuvring simpler.

The SEAT MÓ eScooter125 has a range of up to 77 miles (125km) on a single charge of its 5.6kWh lithium-ion battery pack meaning that, based on typical usage levels, the vehicle should only need charging once a week.

The battery can be charged when still in the vehicle at charging stations, or it can also be removed and plugged into a home power socket. The system makes the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 even simpler for fleet customers, as they can simply swap batteries over to keep the vehicle on the road with minimal downtime.

Practicality isn’t limited to performance and charging times. The SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 also offers enough onboard storage for up to two helmets in the under seat compartment.

In an ever more digitalised and connected world, the SEAT MÓ eScooter125 enables users to track their vehicle using a smartphone app, giving information on position and status updates.

The eScooter125 will also have two USB ports to ensure your phone never runs out of battery if you’re using it for navigation.

Motorsharing

In addition to the SEAT MÓ eScooter125 destined for private users, SEAT MÓ will also offer a specific version for sharing between company employees. The sharing version will build on the key attributes of the private version, with some elements designed for the shared mobility: a top box case to store the helmets and an integrated phone holder.

The sharing version will be available in the exclusive Dark Aluminium matte paint.

SEAT MÓ eKickScooter65 and eKickScooter25

As demand for new mobility solutions in crowded cities increases, the SEAT MÓ eKickScooter65 offers the possibility of silent, electric progress on a scooter.

The SEAT MÓ eKickScooter65 enables longer travel across cities with a 40 mile (65km) range thanks to its 551Wh battery pack and a top speed of 12mph (20km/h). The electric scooter offers a nominal power of 350W, which is enough energy to easily tackle a climbing angle of up to 20 degrees.

Front and rear lights, brake light and side/rear reflectors increase visibility, while, perhaps most importantly, safety is assured with a front electronic and rear drum brake – one of the very few manufacturers to include two brakes on to an electric scooter.

The SEAT MÓ eKickScooter65 will be available in an exclusive ‘Daring Red’ matte paint.

In order to offer even more versatility, SEAT MÓ eKickScooter 65 will allow user to choose between three driving modes – Eco, Standard and Sport.

In addition to the eKickScooter65, which offers a longer range, SEAT is also offering the eKickScooter25, which has a 12 mile range (25km), ideal for commuters completing the last leg of their journey.

Zero Motorcycles expands dealer network with new appointment in Wiltshire

Despite the uncertainties of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, market-leading electric motorcycle brand Zero Motorcycles has expanded its UK and Ireland dealer network to 18 following the appointment of Motorcycles UK in Swindon as an official Zero retailer.

Motorcycles UK is a new dealership headed by industry experts Darren Neal and Chris Waldron, who together bring 45 years of experience in motorcycle retail. The Wiltshire-based outlet is the third new Zero dealership in the UK this year, following in the wheel tracks of Zenith Zero in Hampshire and Cheshire’s Classic Motorcycles.

“We are delighted to welcome Chris and Darren to the network at this challenging but exciting time,” said Dale Robinson, Zero Motorcycles’ UK country manager. “Although Motorcycles UK is a new dealership, the experience the management team brings is immense and the passion they have shown for Zero is impressive. Chris and Darren are two genuine go getters. They will be good for Zero and Zero will be good for them, we are a good fit.

“After a busy year expanding the dealer network in 2019, it was our intention to fill some of the few remaining open points in the first half of 2020. We know that there is a lot of demand for our products from commuters in Oxfordshire and the M4 corridor and the appointment of Motorcycles UK fulfils that demand.”

Despite the Coronavirus outbreak causing a massive decrease in vehicle sales in recent months, UK Zero dealerships have reported strong interest in the range of all-electric motorcycles from commuters looking to escape public transport and find a ‘new normal’ for their daily routine.

Dale continues: “This is a challenging time for many industries, including our own, but Zero dealers have continued to take orders during the lockdown, with some even recording record sales. Motorcycles and scooters are naturally a socially distanced way of travelling and provide so many benefits to commuters looking to move away from trains and buses, and our all-electric range provides even more advantages. Our 11kw models don’t require a full motorcycle licence and can be ridden after a day’s training, while the low maintenance, vibration and emission free running is appealing to a new generation of commuters. All of our models qualify for the £1500 plug in electric vehicle grant from the UK government, and prices start at £216.90 per month on a personal contract purchase (PCP). Add in free parking in most cities and running costs of around 2p per mile and, for many, a switch to an electric motorcycle may prove to be cheaper and more convenient, as well as a more isolated way to travel.”

Zero Motorcycles offers a range of nine all-electric motorcycles, with prices starting at less than £10,000. The models include a range of 11kw machines, which do not require a full motorcycle licence, through to the award-winning SR/F sports bike and the new-for-2020 SR/S, Zero’s first fully-faired high performance motorcycle.

Zero Motorcycles and Dan Gold to collaborate on custom SR/S art project

Zero Motorcycles, the global leader in electric motorcycles and powertrains, is to collaborate with UK based tattoo artist Dan Gold, to create a special ‘art bike’ based on the new Zero SR/S sports motorcycle.

Gold was originally commissioned to create a hand painted SR/S for the 2020 Bike Shed Show, scheduled to take place in London later this month, however the project has understandably been paused due to the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic.

The Bike Shed Show may have been cancelled for this year, but the London based artist has now taken delivery of a new SR/S and has been using it to support his local community, making deliveries to local vulnerable people, while continuing to gather inspiration for the designs he will eventually apply to the 100% electric motorcycle’s fully-faired bodywork.

Speaking about the collaboration, Dan said: “I’ve been interested in electric vehicles for many years, especially as I commute from Hertfordshire into London most days, but like many I have been a bit nervous when it came to taking the plunge. I rode the Zero SR/S in February and was so impressed by the smoothness and the stealth of the bike. I have spent the past few days getting used to it and running errands for vulnerable members of our local community. I’ve been particularly impressed by how easy and quick it is to charge, both at home and when using public chargers. Commuting on the Zero is perfect for getting into London while avoiding public transport, although judging by the number of people who want to come up and talk to me about the bike, I’m going to have to take some care to maintain social distancing when I park up!”

Danish-born Dan is one of the world’s leading tattoo artists, with a style inspired by graffiti and street art. He gained prominence as one of the stars of the TV series London Ink and his eponymously titled studio on London’s famous Oxford Street is one of the capital’s most luxurious tattoo shops.

With both the tattoo shop and his West Hampstead art gallery, Monsters of Art, temporarily closed due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Dan has been busy making face visors for local healthcare professionals and will shortly set about using the SR/S as a canvas for his art.

Commenting on the project, Umberto Uccelli, Zero Motorcycles Managing Director for EMEA, said: “We’re really excited to be working with Dan and look forward to seeing the project take shape over the coming weeks and months. Our plan was originally to unveil the bike at this month’s Bike Shed Show, and to create a show piece that fans could enjoy at various events around Europe this summer. Of course, the current situation means that this is no longer possible, but we are delighted to see Dan using the new SR/S as he helps out in his local community and to have him start work on the custom project. We are looking forward to following his experience and the project on social media and to finally see the finished bike when it is safe to do so.”

While the date and venue of the unveiling of the Zero SR/S ‘art bike’ is understandably to be confirmed, fans can follow Dan’s journey with the Zero on Instagram at @dangoldtattooclub and Twitter (@thedangold) or through Zero’s Facebook page @ZeroMotorcyclesUK

GreenMo Donates Electric Machines For Food Bank Deliveries

Delivery riders across the UK are switching to the eco-friendly power of GreenMo electric mopeds and Europe’s market leader is busier than ever during the COVID-19 outbreak. The green vehicle fleet provider is helping some of the biggest brands in the country fulfil orders across major cities and has recently donated machines to Waltham Forest food bank to support their efforts.
Since its launch in London in 2018, GreenMo has been the leading electric moped provider for Deliveroo, Papa Johns and Paack. Over the last few weeks, the cost-effective solution GreenMo offers is growing as millions of UK citizens swap eating out for food delivery, as they adhere to the governmental guidelines.
In order to meet demand, GreenMo has shipped in extra staff, resources and even a mobile workshop from its sister company in The Netherlands to its central London base.
Even before the current situation hit, GreenMo had become the green, efficient and cost-effective delivery solution for many riders and fleets in London, Brighton, Cardiff, Sheffield and Lincoln. As the emphasis on social distancing has grown, GreenMo has eliminated the need for riders to visit petrol stations and encounter potentially contaminated pumping equipment; meaning each journey is self-contained and self-sufficient.
For a small weekly or monthly fee, GreenMo riders and fleets are able to use the latest VT120LD moped – with insurance, servicing, maintenance and tracking all included.  It is the only electric moped proven to cope with a full delivery shift on a single charge.
GreenMo recently donated three mopeds and two e-bikes to Waltham Forest food bank for the duration of the crisis, on order to help with efforts to get food and essential goods to vulnerable residents who are locked down during the pandemic.
Councils and others that normally rely on vans for deliveries are looking into delivery by moped as a means of utilising staff effectively while maintaining social distancing.
Richard Jordan, Director of GreenMo UK said, “We are seeing an all-time high in terms of enquiries and are working hard to provide vehicles to riders and fleets, and keep them on the road, so that they can in turn deliver the provisions that people so desperately need.  We’re very proud to be supporting Waltham Forest.  If any other charities or food banks need our help, we’re here and will do everything we can.”
Daniel Reynolds, Senior Project Manager at Waltham Forest said, “The generous loan of electric bicycles and mopeds from GreenMo is not only helping Waltham Forest Council to deliver emergency food to vulnerable residents in the borough but also helping to tackle the climate emergency.”

Super Soco Keep Britain Moving Safely As Key Workers

In these difficult times, Super Soco, Britain’s most popular electric motorcycle brand, is helping to keep key workers moving as doctors, nurses and other essential personnel opt for two wheels and avoid crowded public transport. To help support those working on the front line during the COVID-19 outbreak, Super Soco is now offering all key workers a 10% discount on any of its range of electric bikes.
As the UK enters its second week of lockdown, a number of essential key workers are opting to use Super Socoelectric motorcycles for their commute. Doctors, nurses and other essential workers, who keep the country moving, are discovering the green and clean benefits that commuting by electric motorcycle brings, particularly compared to using public transport.
Cities such as London have significantly reduced commuter services, forcing workers into crowded carriages and busses. However, with the majority of people staying at home, roads have never been quieter; making it now faster and safer to ride to work. Super Soco bikes easily cover the vast majority of commuting distances, making them the perfect option for those wishing to adhere to the new social distancing norms.
Non-motorcyclists can get riding with a Super Soco very easily as the majority of models can be ridden on a car licence (pre-2001) with no additional training. The less congested streets also mean its never been a better time for new riders to feel confident and make that change to two wheels.
The rechargeable batteries in Super Soco bikes are removable with carry handles, making them easy to charge from any 3 pin socket in the home, garage or workplace. This completely eliminates the need to stop and fuel up at petrol stations with no need to touch dirty or contaminated pumping equipment, so ensuring Super Soco riders’ journeys are both self-contained and self-sufficient.
Aniko Deierl, a Consultant Neonatologist at Imperial College, London explained, “I decided to buy a Super Soco TC Max because I’ve always wanted something with the look and feel of a big bike, while being light and manageable in traffic.  Also, I like to be very environmentally friendly.
I live in Harrow and work at St Mary’s Hospital Paddington, in neonatal intensive care.  My Super Soco has halved the time of my commute, and the smooth ride gives me 20 minutes to think at the beginning and end of the day.
If I wasn’t on the Super Soco I’d likely be on the train or driving, both of which involve significantly greater risks of Coronavirus transmission. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Super Soco to other key workers.”
Eager to help out those people working on the frontline during the coronavirus outbreak, Super Soco is giving all key workers a 10% discount on any of its five electric motorcycles. The offer is currently available through participating dealers, including Midland Scooters in Nottingham, Urban Ebikes in London, Whatever Wheels in Blackburn, MotoUK in Staffordshire and Discount Motoring in Glasgow.
Andy Fenwick, Super Soco UK, added “Since the UK went into lockdown, we have been amazed at how many key workers have come forward to say they are using their Super Soco motorcycles for their commute. We’ve made new sales to numerous doctors and other key workers and look forward to helping keep them on the road and working.  Our affordable machines are a great way to maintain social distance whilst travelling, and with the roads being quieter than ever it is the perfect time to enjoy all the benefits that riding electric motorcycles brings.”

The stylish, sporty-styled machine has been created to cater for new riders looking to get on two wheels and comes with a top speed of 45mph (unrestricted) and a range of 40 miles on one battery.
With the more powerful TC Max receiving an upgrade in power for 2020, the UK’s most popular electric motorcycle brand, Super Soco, has also just launched an all-new learner-friendly machine aimed at new riders. The TSx is equivalent to a 50cc petrol machine and is suitable for people aged 16 and over; making it the perfect machine for those riders looking for a fun and greener alternative to get around town or ride to college on.

With a linked braking system, inverted hydraulic suspension, aluminium rims and a modern electronic dash, the TSx features the latest in rider accessories and comes in four colours, black, grey, orange or red. For those riding or commuting at night, the bike is equipped with a 4000cd front beam and an integrated wrap around LED taillight to ensure maximum visual impact.
The TSx is in dealers now and costs £2,999
Andy Fenwick, Super Soco UK, added “The TSx is the perfect machine for those people looking to make their first step into the world of motorcycling. Incredibly lightweight and nimble, the bike is ideal for those living and commuting around town and who want to make their journey cheaper, greener and a lot more fun!”
