Production of the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary has started

Production of the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary, the numbered series motorcycle that Ducati has built to pay homage to the legendary career of Troy Bayliss twenty years after his conquest of the 2001 Superbike World Championship, has begun at the Borgo Panigale factory. Starting from October the bike will be available in the Ducati network dealerships.

This unique model immediately entered the hearts of Troy fans around the world. In fact, since the first days after the presentation at the WSBK race in Assen, the bike has been ordered by many fans, already covering a large part of the production for the coming months.

Presented in an episode of the 2022 Ducati World Première that featured Troy Bayliss as a protagonist, the “Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary” version is made starting from the base of the Panigale V2 and is characterized by the celebratory livery, whose graphics are inspired by those of the 996 R which in the 2001 season powered the Australian rider to the first of his three world titles, revisiting its colours and cuts. Ducati red is the main colour of the bike and joins green and white in a tribute to the Italian character of the Bologna-based motorcycle manufacturer, while the iconic #21, Troy Bayliss’ race number, and the Shell logo, which visually strengthen the link with the racing bike, stand out on the sides and the front. Troy’s autograph is reproduced on the fuel tank, while the billet aluminium triple clamp shows the name of the bike and the progressive numbering of this unique model.

To make the bike even more effective in track riding, Ducati has chosen to equip the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary with Öhlins components. The NX30 front fork and TTX36 rear shock absorber guarantee maximum smoothness and are designed to achieve the best performance on track, with a set-up that makes the bike more precise and offers the rider greater feeling and greater support in all riding phases. The steering damper, thanks to the adjustments it is equipped with, allows you to customize its calibration by adapting it to the riding style and the characteristics of the circuit.

Compared to the standard version, the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary is also 3 kg lighter, thanks to the adoption of a lithium-ion battery and the choice of the single-seater configuration that explicitly recalls the look of the racing bike (passenger seat and footrests are available in the supplied equipment).

The equipment is completed by the sport grips, the silencer outlet cover in carbon fibre and titanium and the rider seat made by combining two different technical materials with double red stitching. Troy’s number 21 is embroidered on the saddle in white, and together with the two vertical green and red bands, makes up the Italian flag.

On the Ducati.com website there is all the information about the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary, while the dynamic video of the bike is available below and on the Ducati YouTube channel.

Travelling by motorcycle is even more enjoyable with Ducati Performance touring accessories

The motorcycle travel season is getting underway and Ducati is particularly attentive to the globetrotting approach of its enthusiasts, offering a selection of touring accessories from the Ducati Performance catalogue, created to increase the pleasure of every riding adventure.

Within the Ducati range there are several families of motorcycles capable of balancing the typically sporting spirit of the Rosse di Borgo Panigale with a high level of comfort. Motorcycles such as the Multistrada, the SuperSport 950, the Diavel 1260 and the XDiavel can be used to cover long itineraries even divided into several days of travel and the choice of the right accessories and correct technical equipment makes these journeys even more enjoyable for motorcyclists.

For this reason, the Bologna-based motorcycle company works with care and attention on the creation of the touring accessories contained within the Ducati Performance catalogue, collaborating with the best companies in the sector and entrusting their design to the Centro Stile Ducati. The commitment is reflected in the production of components tailored to each family of motorcycles, which Ducatisti can view online in the “configurator” section of the Ducati.com website and order at their nearest dealership.

The symbolic accessories of the touring world are bags and cases, indispensable tools for carrying everything you need while exploring new locations. The Ducati Performance catalogue offers a number of different types based on the family of motorcycles on which they are mounted. In the case of the Multistrada V4, the globetrotter par excellence of the Ducati range, the rigid side panniers have volumes designed to ensure maximum capacity and reach maximum practicality in combination with the top case with quick release system integrated in the vehicle and the central stand, essential to always park the bike safely. Both the side panniers and the top case have lines designed to better integrate with the design of the bike and can be customized with cover sets, available in various colours.

For the SuperSport 950, the road sports bike of the Borgo Panigale range, in addition to the soft side bags and the passenger seat bag, Ducati also offers a magnetic tank bag, equipped with large pockets, zip closures and a quick-mount system.

For those who love to travel as a couple, it is essential to ensure maximum comfort for the passenger as well. Accessories such as a heated seat (available on the Multistrada V4 for both the rider and the passenger) allow you to enjoy the ride even on the coldest days and on mountain roads, while the practical passenger grab handles ensure comfortable support at all times of the journey and are available as an accessory for the SuperSport 950, Monster and Hypermotard 950.

Finally, a really useful accessory especially for longer journeys, available for some Ducati models, is the Ducati Zumo 396 satellite navigator kit , which in addition to providing road directions, allows you to store the routes taken, to share the itineraries in real time, but also to make hands-free calls and listen to music. The Ducati Zumo 396 navigator is equipped with a large 4.3″ screen and has a robust structure, waterproof and resistant to fuel splashes and exposure to ultraviolet rays. The high satnav support set is also available, which allows perfect visibility of the navigator and dashboard even in the presence of tank bags.

June 2021 is the best month ever for Ducati

June 2021 is the best month ever for Ducati which closes the first half of the year with strong growth.

The very positive trend continues for Ducati which, at the end of the first six months of 2021, delivered 34,485 motorcycles to enthusiasts, recording an increase of + 43% over 2020 and + 9% over the same period of 2019.

June in particular was the best month ever for the company with 8,598 units sold worldwide.

The order portfolio (motorcycles to be delivered) is the highest ever recorded by the company at the end of the first half, with + 63% compared to the same period in 2020 and a growth of + 284% compared to 2019.

Francesco Milicia, VP Global Sales Director Ducati: “The month of June was the best-ever for the company, confirming the positive trend that began with the excellent second half of 2020 and with the significant growth in the first quarter of this 2021. Despite the great complexity recorded in the supply sector and transport, with delays in deliveries and a scarcity of various raw materials, and the difficulties generated by the many lockdowns experienced in these first six months of 2021 in various parts of the world, Ducati recorded truly significant growth, exceeding pre-Covid values by almost 10%. The order portfolio is also excellent, demonstrating the fact that enthusiasts are appreciating the 2021 range and the family of Ducatisti is expanding more and more”.

The robust growth is led by Australia (+ 82%), Italy (+ 55%) which confirms itself as the top market with 6,071 motorcycles, Japan (+ 53%) and North America (+ 51%).

The bikes most delivered to Ducatisti are the Multistrada V4, the first motorcycle in the world equipped with front and rear radar, the Ducati Scrambler 800 driven by the success of the Nightshift and Icon Dark versions and the Streetfighter V4, the super-naked Ducati par excellence, modern and technological.

Excellent numbers also for the new Monster, which arrived on the market in April. Characterized by brilliant and easy-to-manage performance, it is a concentrate of fun thanks to its lightness, a nimble and intuitive chassis and state-of-the-art electronic equipment.

Ducati is present in over 90 countries around the world with 769 dealers. The new Diavel 1260 S “Black and Steel”, which draws inspiration from the “Materic” concept presented at Design Week in Milan and the Hypermotard 950 SP in the new dynamic livery that recalls the racing world, have just arrived in Ducati dealers.

A special motorcycle as a tribute to Troy Bayliss

A special motorcycle as a tribute to Troy Bayliss: the Ducati Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary.

21 has been a magic number for Ducati ever since Troy Bayliss sculpted it with his victories in motorcycling history. Precisely in 2021, twenty years after winning the 2001 Superbike World Championship, Ducati is paying homage to the legendary career of the Australian rider by dedicating to him a special motorcycle, produced in a numbered series, which celebrates the first of the three World SBK titles won by Bayliss: the Ducati Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary.

The bond between Bayliss and Ducati Corse in the Superbike World Championship is one of the most fascinating stories in the motorsport universe. The results of this beautiful adventure are 52 victories, 94 podiums and three world titles (2001, 2006 and 2008) won with three different bikes: the twin-cylinder 996 R, the 999 R and the 1098 R. Troy Bayliss is the only motorcycle racer in history capable of winning in MotoGP and World Superbike in the same season (2006) and his achievements in the race have indelibly imprinted the Australian’s name in the hearts of all Ducatisti. Now the winning chemistry between Ducati and “Baylisstic” is rekindled with the creation of this celebratory motorcycle, the name of which was chosen directly by the rider, who also actively contributed to the creation of the graphic concept.

Made starting from the base of the Panigale V2, the “Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary” version is characterized by its special livery , whose graphics are inspired by that of the 996 R which in the 2001 season powered Bayliss to the conquest of his first world title, revisiting its colours and cuts. Ducati red is the main colour of the bike, and it joins green and white in a tribute to the Italian spirit of the Bologna-based motorcycle manufacturer, while the iconic #21, Troy Bayliss’ race number, and the Shell logo, which visually strengthen the link with the racing bike, stand out on the sides and front. Troy’s autograph is reproduced on the fuel tank, while the billet aluminium triple clamp shows the name of the bike and the progressive numbering of this unique model.

To make the motorcycle even more effective in track riding, Ducati has chosen to equip the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary with Öhlins components . The NX30 front fork and TTX36 rear shock absorber guarantee maximum smoothness and are designed to achieve the best performance on the circuit, with a set-up that makes the bike more precise and offers the rider greater feeling and greater support in all riding phases. The steering damper, thanks to the adjustments it is equipped with, allows you to customize its calibration by adapting it to riding style and the characteristics of the track.

Compared to the standard version, the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary is also 3 kg lighter, thanks to the adoption of a lithium-ion battery and the choice of the single-seater configuration that explicitly recalls the look of the racing bike (passenger seat and footrests are available in the equipment supplied).

The equipment is completed by the sport grips, the silencer outlet cover in carbon fibre and titanium and the rider seat made by combining two different technical materials with double red stitching. Troy’s number 21 is embroidered in white on the saddle and, together with the green and red bands, makes up the Italian flag. The motorcycle is also equipped with self-cleaning brake and clutch pumps with smoke grey oil tanks.

The Panigale V2 is the super-mid of Ducati sports bikes and represents the entry model to the Panigale family. It is powered by the 955 cc Superquadro twin-cylinder unit (Euro 5 compliant), with a maximum power of 155 hp at 10,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 104 Nm at 9,000 rpm. The chassis is based on the monocoque frame, while the elegant and sporty design is inspired by that of the Panigale V4.

The electronic package, dedicated to active safety and vehicle dynamics control, includes the “cornering” function applied to Bosch ABS, the electronic quick shift that also works when downshifting and traction, engine brake and wheelie controls (Ducati Quick Shift, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control). All the controls are integrated into the three Riding Modes (Race, Sport and Street) that can be modified using the 4.3″ colour TFT dashboard with graphics and interface designed to make menu navigation and settings adjustment intuitive, as well as immediate identification of the selected Riding Mode.

The bike was officially presented by Ducati in a special episode of the Ducati World Première (here the link to see it ) made at the Ducati Museum, on the track and at Troy’s home in Australia. Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali, Ducati Corse Team Manager Davide Tardozzi, who was alongside Bayliss throughout his career in Ducati, Director of the Centro Stile Ducati Andrea Ferraresi and Ducati Head of Product Communications Giulio Fabbri all contributed to the presentation of the characteristics of the bike and the storytelling of the incredible relationship between Ducati and Bayliss. Troy himself took part in this video, sharing with Ducatisti his most indelible memories and emotions experienced on the bike.

The World Superbike universe will also pay tribute to Bayliss’s career during Round 5 of the season, scheduled for the weekend at the Assen track. On Friday 23 July at 13.00, the Australian champion will be the protagonist of a virtual press conference at the Paddock Show together with Ducati Corse Sporting Director Paolo Ciabatti, in which the most important stages of the victory of Troy’s first title, won on the Dutch circuit, will be remembered. On Sunday 25 July at 12.05, after the SuperPole Race, the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary will complete a lap of honour on the track, ridden by Aruba.it Racing – Ducati factory rider Michael Ruben Rinaldi, who competes in WorldSBK with the same number as Bayliss.

The twentieth anniversary of Troy Bayliss winning his first title with Ducati is being celebrated in Borgo Panigale with a temporary exhibition in the Ducati Museum entitled “Troy Story: The Legend of a Champion” which exhibits the bikes with which Troy was able to write some memorable chapters in the history of motorcycle racing. The exhibition can be visited until 19 September 2021 (here more information on visits to the Ducati Museum).

The Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary will be available in UK dealers starting from October 2021 at a dealer price of £17,995

Ducati Dragons

The first Ducati Dragons weekend brought together over 30 women from across the UK, all with a shared passion for delicious Ducatis. The Dragons filled the car park of Eastwood Hall in Nottingham from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th of June 201 with the rip roaring noise of Ducati twins; the Monster and SuperSport certainly the most popular choice. Sunshine and smiles all round.

Women came from all over the UK to be part of this unique event, instigated by Gillian Riddell, an avid Ducati enthusiast. Gillian is part of the Ducati Owners Club (DOC GB). Gillian regularly attends the DOC outings and despite having several women members, she often ends up being the only one attending the events. She is keen to encourage more women to attend mixed events and by creating an event where women can meet face to face will help make new connections and get more women out together to other events too.

Upon arrival, the Dragons came together for the first time and made new connections, making time for each other before checking in. We chatted to the UpRight Motorcycle Road Safety Campaign team who came to support. Some were able to try different bikes, provided by Martin of Ducati Manchester who had kindly brought some Scramblers and Supersports for test rides. We were even interviewed for BIKE Magazine with lots of posing for photos, it made us feel like celebrities to mark the occasion!

Grabbing a quiet bite to eat before the pre-ride briefing, we set off at 1300 on Saturday on a very unique ride out. We were escorted by Tom from @UpRightDerbys (Insta) on his Police Bike which was very useful for clearing junctions! It was immensely awe inspiring to be out on the road with so many women who have a passion for Italian machines. After the first hour, we split off into different routes to enjoy the Peak District and ensure the well deserved ice cream and cake breaks where we could.

The Dragons returned back to the hotel late afternoon for some quick refreshments and a turnaround for the delicious 3 course dinner. The raffle prizes kept us applauding, especially to the winner of the exclusive Ducati jacket provided by Ducati Manchester and the gift voucher for Maja’s Motorcycle Adventures. The disco endured well into the night, topped off with fantastic goody bags provided by Verity. The Scottoiler discount and T-shirt was a superb donation, along with the Bike Sure 10% off discount offer and merch. The Muc Off Dry Lube and bike cleaner was an ideal addition to all of our garages, topped off with Ducati hats and pens, perfect!

Ready for a fresh morning in the sunshine, the Dragons left the hotel to do some more exploring in the Peaks before making their way home. Everyone who attended made a new connection with a friend in the biking world and a reinforcement that there are plenty of women out there who don’t need much of an excuse to just get out and ride!

Ducati and MT Distribution present MG-20

Ducati presents MG-20, the first folding e-bike in magnesium in the Ducati Urban e-Mobility line, developed under license by MT Distribution.

The new MG-20 is nimble and light. The sporting character of Ducati is underlined by its distinctive design, characterized by a fluid and aerodynamic profile, and by the sharp lines of the six-spoke rims, both made with a die-casting technique.

Frame, forks and rims are made of magnesium, a material that ensures lightness and solidity, thus providing maximum performance without affecting impact resistance. The small size of the wheels (20″ x 2.125″) and the possibility of easily folding the e-bike and pedals make MG-20 the ideal vehicle for urban travel, also convenient for combined use with public and private transport thanks to its minimum size.

The e-bike is equipped with a 250W rear motor capable of recognizing the road conditions, the slope and the force used in pedalling, providing the appropriate level of assistance depending on the riding mode selected. The 36V 10.5Ah 378Wh SAMSUNG battery is integrated into the frame and can be pulled out for more convenient charging. A full charge allows to travel up to 50 km, at a maximum speed of 25km/h, as per regulations.

Management of the main functions, such as switching on the lights and selecting between three levels of assistance (12-18-25 km/h), takes place via the waterproof LCD display. The front LED headlight and the reflective strips on the wheels ensure safer riding even at night.

The MG-20 will be available starting from July 2021 at dealerships and in the official Ducati e-shop, as well as in specialized consumer electronics stores and major online stores.

Further information on all products in the Ducati Urban e-Mobility range are available on the website www.ducatiurbanemobility.com.

The Panigale V4 is ready to compete on any circuit with Ducati Performance accessories

The Panigale V4 S is the bike that embodies all the essence of Ducati sportiness. In the 2021 version, the Borgo Panigale super sports bike is even easier to ride and is designed to help the rider achieve top performance on the circuit, resulting in an improvement in lap times both for the professional and for the amateur. The Panigale V4 2021 is equipped with two Race Riding Modes, A and B, which can be customized by the user and is the only bike in the world equipped with ABS Cornering “Only Front” developed specifically for maximum performance on the track, as well as the lowest levels of electronics settings (DTC, DSC and DWC).

To make the Panigale V4 S even more unique and performing on track, Ducati offers its fans a series of accessories from the Ducati Performance catalogue. The accessories contained in the catalogue are designed by the Centro Stile Ducati and produced in collaboration with selected partners, with the aim of ensuring maximum performance and enhancing the typically racing look of the bike.

On 30 May, Barni Racing Team rider Luca Salvadori demonstrated the Panigale V4 S competitiveness, by participating and winning in the 1000 Open category of the second round of the MotoEstate 2021 Trophy, one of the most popular amateur trophies in Italy. On that occasion, the stock Panigale V4 S ridden by Salvadori, equipped with a full racing exhaust, Pirelli slick tyres and a series of accessories contained in the Ducati Performance catalogue, also took pole position, setting the Cremona Circuit lap record.

The accessories mounted on Salvadori’s Panigale V4 S during the race can be purchased from all dealers in the Ducati network. They include the Akrapovič complete titanium exhaust group , developed by Ducati Corse technicians on the basis of the exhaust mounted on the Panigale V4 R used in the Superbike World Championship by Scott Redding and Michael Rinaldi; the Rizoma adjustable aluminium footpegs, which allow riders to find the best possible position for their build and riding style and a racing seat in technical fabric, able to offer comfort and grip to maximize stability while riding. There are also a series of elements made of carbon, such as the front mudguard and swingarm cover, but also the number plate holder removal cover sets and mirror hole covers, ideal for occluding the holes made by the removal of unnecessary elements in track use.

These accessories are the same as the ones equipping the Panigale V4 S that Ducati Corse riders use to train between rounds of the MotoGP and Superbike World Championships.

On the Ducati.com website there is the  ‘Configurator’ section, a tool designed by the Borgo Panigale manufacturer to offer all Ducatisti the possibility of customizing their motorcycles, by selecting accessories and special parts, which also include magnesium rims and a dry clutch.

Ducati enriches the Diavel 1260 family for the 2022 Model Year with the presentation of the new Diavel 1260 S “Black and Steel”, which will be available in dealerships starting from July 2021.

After launching the special Diavel 1260 Lamborghini version in November 2020, created in collaboration with the Sant’Agata Bolognese car manufacturer, Ducati is further expanding the Diavel 1260 family with the arrival of this new motorcycle, which is inspired by the concept of the Diavel “Materico” presented in 2019 on the occasion of the “Beautiful Boldness / Visionary Design” event during the Milan Design Week and subsequently put on display at MOARD (Motorcycle Art & Design), an exhibition dedicated to two-wheel design.

The livery of the Diavel 1260 S “Black and Steel” is characterized by the  choice of asymmetrical and refined graphics that combine glossy grey and matt black as the main colours, to which are added sporty touches in yellow, including the frame, the lower part of the tail, the dedicated seat badge and some details of the bike.

From 10 to 13 June the new Diavel 1260 S “Black and Steel” will be exhibited in a world premiere at the 2021 edition of the MIMO Motor Show. Enthusiasts will be able to admire it inserted in the prestigious setting of Piazza Duomo in Milan and join the presentation parade of the motorcycle, which will be attended by the Director of the Centro Stile Ducati Andrea Ferraresi.

The Ducati Diavel 1260 family, synonymous with style, innovation and performance, has won prestigious international design awards such as the “Red Dot Award” and the “Good Design Award”. We are really pleased to present this new version in Milan, a city that has always represented a world benchmark in this sector.” declared Andrea Ferraresi “The Diavel 1260 S “Black and Steel” is a bike that does not go unnoticed. Its asymmetrical graphics, the contrast between matt black, grey and touches of yellow have been designed to enhance the power, design and sportiness of this bike.”

Unconventional and unmistakable, the Diavel 1260 combines the performance of a maxi-naked with the ergonomics and comfort of a muscle cruiser. The beating heart of the bike is the 1262 cc Testastretta DVT engine that delivers 162 hp at 9,500 rpm with a flat and full-bodied torque curve, which allows scorching acceleration and at the same time offers regularity at low revs ideal for everyday use or touring. The chassis, characterized by the distinctive 240 mm rear tyre, guarantees surprising levels of handling and lean angles for the rider, combined with a good level of comfort.

The Diavel 1260 S “Black and Steel” joins the S version in Thrilling Black & Dark Stealth colour with red frame and black wheels. The standard version is available in Dark Stealth colour with black frame and black wheels.

On the Ducati.com website there is the  “Configurator” section which allows you to view the Diavel equipped with your favourite Ducati Performance accessories on the screen of your PC, tablet or smartphone and to share the customized version with the nearest dealer to book a test ride.

A Production Ducati Panigale V4 S takes first place in an Italian race

A production Panigale V4 S took first place in an Italian race setting also new racetrack lap record during qualifying

Great success for Ducati which, in collaboration with the Italian rider/Youtuber Luca Salvadori, brought a stock Panigale V4 S, equipped only with a Ducati Performance racing exhaust system, Pirelli slick tires and racing brake pads to triumph in the Cremona round of the MotoEstate Trophy, one of the best known amateur trophy in Italy.

During the weekend of 29-30 May Salvadori also conquered pole position, setting the new record of the Cremona circuit (1’31’945) and the best lap in the race, closing a perfect weekend. The success conquered by Salvadori once again confirms the competitiveness of the Panigale V4 project.

Luca raced with the ABS (the Panigale V4 is the only bike in the world to have a “Cornering Only Front Racing” setup of the ABS) and electronic suspension, proving that it is possible to be competitive in this type of competition with a production bike.

The “Open Class” of the Trophy was chosen to compete against very elaborate bikes, in fact Luca’s main opponent, Fabrizio Perotti a really popular and fast Italian rider, raced on a full Superbike Spec Aprilia RSV4, demonstrating the high level of competitiveness of the Ducati Panigale V4 S road bike.

A Temporary Exhibition at the Ducati Museum for Troy Bayliss

A temporary exhibition at the Ducati Museum for 20 years since Troy Bayliss’s first world title.

The Ducati Museum has finally reopened to the public on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. One week after the resumption of the visits for the public, Ducati also inaugurates a temporary exhibition “Troy Story: The Legend of a Champion” dedicated to Troy Bayliss, three-time World Superbike champion with Ducati.

It is precisely to celebrate the 20th anniversary of that first world title in the 2001 Superbike championship, that Ducati has set up a temporary exhibition in the Ducati Museum with new and exclusive content for its fans near and far.

The date of 21 May, chosen for the reopening of the Ducati Museum, is not accidental. As Ducatisti and all motorcycle racing fans will certainly remember, on 21 May 2000 a still virtually unknown Troy Bayliss accomplished a feat that turned him overnight into a motorcycling legend in the hearts and memories of all Ducati and Superbike fans: his amazing quadruple overtaking move at the Monza circuit.

That day Troy was taking part in the race as a replacement rider for Carl Fogarty who had been injured at Philip Island and, after this epic feat, Ducati decided to let him finish the championship on the factory 996R. That year he finished sixth (243 points, 2 wins and 7 podiums), but he earned his place as factory rider in the Ducati Infostrada team. He won his first WSBK title in 2001, stepping onto the podium 15 times.

All those who can visit the Museum will have the opportunity to admire  the bikes with which the Australian champion has written some of the most amazing chapters in the annals of motorcycle racing:

  • 996 Factory 2000 – his Ducati World SBK debut and used at Monza in the famous quadruple overtake.
  • 996 Factory 2001 Testastretta – his first world title with the livery used at Imola in 2001.
  • 998 Factory Testastretta 2002 – protagonist of the breath-taking duel with Edwards at Imola.
  • 999 Factory 2006 “Superman” – Ducati’s 250th victory in SBK, and Troy’s second title.
  • 999 Factory 2007 – used in the photo-finish against James Toseland at Assen.
  • 1098 R Factory 2008 – his last title won at Magny-Cours.

For all those who cannot yet come to the Ducati Museum, an in-depth study dedicated to Troy Bayliss’s career is planned during the “Ducati Museum Online Journey, the online tours of the Ducati Museum that allow you to retrace the history of the company via a PC, tablet or Smart TV.

The temporary exhibition “Troy Story: The Legend of a Champion” will remain at the Ducati Museum until 19 September 2021, with the sole exception of the days between 1-4 July, when the bikes will be exhibited in Modena at the 2021 edition of Motor Valley Fest.

The opening of the temporary show in honour of Troy Bayliss is also a way to wish to the Australian champion a speedy recovery and send him a big virtual hug after the bicycle accident occurred last May 14.

Each Monster becomes unique with Ducati accessories and customization sets

The Monster has always been synonymous with customization for all enthusiasts who wish to make their bike unique in terms of aesthetics and tailored to their riding style. For this reason, even for the new generation of its sports naked, Ducati has created a series of accessories designed to enhance the technical characteristics and the design of the bike.

The Ducati Performance catalogue has been enriched with a wide selection of accessories that make the new Monster even sportier, enhancing its look. The online configurator is available on the Ducati.com website, which allows you to view all the customization options, create the Monster of your dreams and share it in one click with the trusted dealer and with friends.

Expressing your personality through the aesthetics of the motorcycle is easy thanks to the decal sets and add-on kits with graphics proposed by Ducati, capable of enhancing the contemporary lines of the new Monster and accentuating its sportiness.

There are two customization sets with graphics available: the Pixel kit consists of tank cover, seat side panels, seat cover, headlight fairing and front mudguard and gives the Monster an even more aggressive and modern look, while the GP kit, consisting of tank cover and seat side panels, recalls the world of Ducati Corse with the choice of dynamic graphics. Both versions are available for all three colours of the Monster and Monster Plus: Ducati Red, Dark Stealth and Aviator Grey. These are accompanied by the two sticker kits, Corse and Logo, also available for all colours of the bike.

The customization level of each Monster can be further emphasized by choosing from the wide range of accessories in the Ducati Performance catalogue, made up of high quality components with a refined design.

Among these elements, the Euro 5 standard Termignoni homologated silencer stands out, enhancing the sporty look of the new Monster. Alternatively, the Termignoni racing exhaust with dedicated mapping is also available (for track use only and not approved for road use).

The design of the new Monster can be completed with the light and functional engine belly fairing in the same colour as the bodywork, and with the racing license plate holder. In collaboration with Rizoma, Ducati also offers a series of accessories made from billet aluminium, such as handlebar balancing weights, footpegs, brake fluid and clutch fluid reservoirs.

The new Monster and Ducati Performance accessories can be ordered from all Ducati network dealerships.

Ducati presents the new livery for the Hypermotard 950 SP

Ducati presents the new livery for the Hypermotard 950 SP and updates the entire family to Euro 5 standard.

The Ducati Hypermotard 950 family is updated for the Model Year 2022 and sees the entry into the range of a new livery for the SP version. All models become compliant with Euro 5 anti-pollution regulations* and will be available in Ducati network dealers starting from June 2021.

The Borgo Panigale fun-bike family consists of three models: Hypermotard 950, Hypermotard 950 RVE and Hypermotard 950 SP. Three different choices, which allow the rider both to have fun in curves and to easily tackle city traffic with all the safety offered by Ducati’s sophisticated electronic equipment.

The design of the Hypermotard 950 is inspired by the look of motards and revolves around the twin under-seat exhaust and the reduced superstructures that leave the mechanical components visible, including the trellis rear frame that communicates lightness and essentiality. The ergonomics of the bike, also derived from the motard world, ensure a riding position with an upright torso and wide elbows which translates into a great vehicle control, while the flat seat guarantees the possibility of wide longitudinal movements.

The new livery of the SP version recalls the world of MotoGP in its choice of colours and that of ‘freestyle sports’ in its graphic lines, underlining the dynamic and fun character of the bike. The Hypermotard 950 SP represents the top of the range and is distinguished from the other two models by Öhlins suspension with increased travel, Marchesini forged wheels and standard Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up and Down EVO.

The engine of the Hypermotard 950 family is the 937 cc Ducati Testastretta 11° twin-cylinder unit, capable of delivering 114 hp at 9,000 rpm and generating flat-cornered torque whose peak is 9.8 kgm at 7,250 rpm. These power and torque values remain unchanged with the transition to Euro 5 homologation.

The gearbox has been revised to make it easier to engage neutral when the bike is stationary and to ensure maximum precision in gear selection, adopting the same technical solution of the Monster and the SuperSport 950. The system envisages that the gearshift drum rotates on bearings, ensuring a movement with reduced friction. In addition, the gear lever spring is more loaded to prevent the system from remaining idle in the intermediate positions, thus resulting more precise.

The Hypermotard 950 in Ducati Red colour scheme, the Hypermotard 950 RVE characterized by “Graffiti” livery and the Hypermotard 950 SP in the new “SP” colour will be available for purchase in Ducati network dealers starting from June 2021. The motorcycles are also available in a depowered version for A2 license holders.

On the Ducati.com website the “Bike Configurator” section is available, where it is possible to view the models of the Hypermotard 950 family equipped with the most suitable accessories for your needs and send the final result to the nearest Ducati dealer to book a visit or a test ride.

*Only in countries where Euro 5 is applied
