Aprilia RS 457 now available for preorderThe Aprilia RS 457 has finally arrived on the market and makes its online debut with special, dedicated prebooking at APRILIA.COM.

The Aprilia RS 457 is a sporty bike that looks to the future, meeting the growing demand for bikes that are stylish with cutting edge technology, but easy and accessible at the same time.

Aprilia RS 457

Having previously launched the RS 660, which quickly became the best-selling sports bike in Europe, Aprilia completes its sports bike family by introducing a new bike for both future generations and new markets, to meet the growing demand for functional and enjoyable bikes.

The Aprilia RS 457 is the result of an entirely new project that stands out for its lightweight design, featuring the best weight/power ratio possible for a motorcycle that can be ridden with an A2 class licence, as well as its ease of riding, and technological capabilities. The RS 457 is designed to accompany motorcyclists as they travel on both road and track.

The new Aprilia is powered by an ultra-modern and technological liquid-cooled parallel twin with dual camshaft and four valves per cylinder, capable of delivering 35 kW of power, the maximum possible for a bike that can be ridden with an A2 licence.

The pure power figure is combined with the fact that the motorcycle weighs just 159 kg dry (175 kg with a full tank), for a simply unbeatable weight/power ratio. The aluminium frame with engine bearing function and the adjustable suspension form a bar-setting chassis architecture.

In classic Aprilia tradition, the standard electronics package is comprehensive, with a Ride by Wire accelerator, three Riding Modes, ABS and adjustable traction control that can be disabled. Available accessories include the electronic quick shift.

New Connectivity Unit Offroad and GASGAS+ App

New connectivity unit offroad and GASGAS+ App to change the way you ride and set up your GASGAS dirt bike.

Enjoy bike tuning at your fingertips and take your riding to the next level.

Customize your 2024 GASGAS dirt bike from your smartphone with the groundbreaking Connectivity Unit Offroad (CUO) and GASGAS+ app! Available now for our 4-stroke motocross and cross country models only, the CUO can be found at all GASGAS dealers worldwide while the app can be downloaded to your smartphone for free! Offering full customization of your bike’s power delivery, the ability to save multiple motor set-ups, and taking the guesswork out of suspension set-up, the CUO and GASGAS+ app are a real game-changer for all riders.
  • New Connectivity Unit Offroad and GASGAS+ app available now
  • Create and save multiple motor and suspension set-ups to suit different tracks
  • Improve your riding and technical abilities using the new, free to download GASGAS+ app

Making sure you get maximum performance from your bike is what the new Connectivity Unit Offroad was designed for. After introducing the CUO on the 2024 MC 250F Factory Edition and MC 450F Factory Edition bikes last year, we now want all GASGAS 4-stroke riders to benefit from the latest dirt bike technology. As you play with settings and learn, your riding and technical knowledge will grow together, helping you to develop as both a rider and bike tuner!

Available now, the CUO is easy to fit and once paired with the new GASGAS+ app you can begin tuning the power to suit your style, or the track conditions, using your phone. Multiple set-ups can be saved for future reference and applied at various circuits, saving you time, and making sure you ride with the best performance from your motor. Owners of our 2024 Factory Edition models love the CUO, so if you own a stock 4-stroke GASGAS motocross or cross country bike, you can now benefit from the same technology.

If you’re just looking to perfect your suspension set-up, then the free GASGAS+ app is just what you need to ride in complete comfort on any type of circuit. After guiding you through setting the sag, you can then start from a number of recommended settings for different racetracks, or start from scratch. The choice is yours and you can save multiple set-ups for various conditions. There’s also a virtual garage within the app where you can add and remove your bike or bikes, view owner’s manuals, and record your maintenance and servicing.

The GASGAS+ app has another awesome feature – RIDER. For this to work you’ll need a special front fender to install a GPS sensor (both are also available now as Technical Accessories) and you’ll then be able to record your lap times, analyze everything about how your bike is running, and so much more…

GASGAS+ App features in a little more detail…

ENGINE – Choose between predefined maps based on the track type, and track conditions, or use the ADVANCED mode to create your map from scratch. The ENGINE feature gives you full control of the Engine Braking, Throttle Response, Traction Control, Launch Control, and Quickshifter sensitivity. You can then save all of your favorite mappings and activate the most suitable one when you arrive at each track, then make changes between sessions or races if you need to.

RIDER – Within this feature of the app, which is powered by LITPro and receives data from the CUO and GPS fitted to the front fender, you can review your session or race by downloading the data into the app for detailed analysis. It offers amazing insights into your riding (lap and section analysis, airtime, corner analysis, and Lap99 analysis) and allows you to visualize your engine data at the same time, with up to 15 values selectable (engine RPM, gear position, throttle position, map switch mode, and many more). Once you download the session you can analyze your performance, compare laps, and compete with others on a virtual leaderboard. The RIDER feature is only available as an annual subscription with a four-week trial period, with pricing then starting at €69,99 in Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Prices are dependent on the ordering country.

SUSPENSION – This feature of the app has two main functions. SAG ASSISTANT helps you find the correct SAG for each individual bike. To achieve this, ‘Bike on Stand’ and ‘Bike with Rider’ are asked by the app when setting the sag. By using the SUSPENSION SETTING section, you can then create multiple, personalized suspension set-ups after inputting your weight in riding gear, and track type and condition. Once you’ve selected your skill level – Basic, Advanced, or Pro – as well as the Track Terrain – Sand, Soft, Medium, or Hard – you’ll be shown recommended settings, which can be fine-tuned and saved for use at other circuits.

The new Connectivity Unit Offroad is available worldwide from February, priced at €149. The GPS sensor is available at €89, with the front fender priced at €39. The GASGAS+ app can be downloaded for free and comes with a 4-week trial of the RIDER feature, afterwards starting at €69.99 annually. Prices dependent on ordering country.

RGNT Reborn: founder Jonathan Åström regains control at RGNT Motorcycles

Slimmed-down and restructured company is better prepared for future developments

After an absence of more than a year and a half, founder Jonathan Åström has taken back the reins at RGNT Motorcycles, the EV motorbike company he founded in 2019. Together with CTO & Head of Design Alexander Lewandowski, and head of marketing & sales Gideon Schipaanboord he created a new company, RGNT Reborn, that bought the IP, tooling and the remaining bikes and parts. Led by the trio, the company is making a relaunch in slimmed-down form, with only a core team at the helm.

Better equipped
The focus of the new management team for the coming period is on two pillars: selling the existing stock and developing the third-generation RGNT models, scheduled for Q3 this year. Åström says: ‘With this new structure, we are better equipped than ever to secure the company’s future. We will try to keep our pan-European dealer and service network fully intact and will be further expanded in the coming period. This way, existing riders can continue to count on the service and support they expect from RGNT, while we welcome new riders to our brand in the meantime.’

Shared R&D
In the new company structure, the R&D team is shared with another entity, providing flexibility and at the same time a lower cost structure. This eliminates the need for continuous investment rounds as in the past, allowing the company to bear its day-to-day operational costs. This makes the company more resilient and resistant to changing market conditions. Åström says: ‘With this move and restructuring, we have prepared RGNT for an even more successful future. And Gideon, Alexander, and I can’t wait to make that future a reality!

About RGNT Motorcycles
Founded in 2019 in Sweden, we aim high. Wildly ambitious, yet underpinned by a strong vision and in-depth know-how, we plan to silence boulevards, backroads and beaches globally by quickly expanding in a fast-growing bike-tech market. This engine promises true sports performance, delivering maximum power of 115 hp at 8700 rpm and maximum torque of 105 Nm at 6750 rpm, 82% of which is already available at 3500 rpm, and with the limiter set at an impressive 9500 rpm.

The chassis architecture includes a high resistance steel tube frame combined with tubeless spoke wheels, respectively 19” at the front and 17” at the rear, as well as long-travel suspension, features that make the ride comfortable on long journeys, fun for light off-roading, and dynamic when riding on asphalt.

Stelvio is the first Moto Guzzi to feature the PFF Rider Assistance Solution. The innovative riding assistance platform, which plays a fundamental active safety role, is based on
radar technology developed by Piaggio Fast Forward – the robotics subsidiary founded by the Piaggio Group and based in Boston, Massachusetts (USA).

The exceptional electronic features are completed with the Ride by Wire accelerator and the six-axis platform that optimises the electronic controls for both safety (such as Cornering ABS) and fun. There are five Riding Modes, including, Touring, Rain, Road, Sport, and Off-Road which manage the engine brake, ABS, traction control, and engine map intervention. In the Off-Road mode, both ABS and traction control can be disabled. There is also a vast range of accessories that are available to meet a rider’s specific needs.

IZI’s Ride’ – a unique Custom Shotgun 650

‘IZI’s Ride’ – a unique Custom Shotgun 650 exclusively designed for Netflix’s new feature film ‘THE KITCHEN’

In late 2021 – Royal Enfield, the world’s oldest motorcycle manufacturer in continual production, was shared the script to a new Netflix film, about to start production; co-directed, co-written and co-produced by Oscar and Golden Globe winning Daniel Kaluuya, with Top Boy’s Kane Robinson, a.k.a Kano in the lead role.

A unique challenge was laid to Royal Enfield – to design a one-of-a-kind motorcycle to perfectly fit into the near-future world of ‘THE KITCHEN’. Set in a dystopian London where inequality is unchecked and social segregation based upon income and racial lines is endemic, Izi (played by Kano) and Benji (played by Jedaiah Bannerman, in his debut role) fight to navigate the world they find themselves in. As life-long residents of ‘The Kitchen’, a community existing in one of London’s last-remaining housing estates that refuses to succumb to demands of oppressive authoritarian forces, Izi and Benji face challenges and questions that will alter their futures forever.

The Royal Enfield custom build would play an integral part of the film’s narrative, as well as being a source of status, independence and identity to the life of Izi – Kano’s character. And so, in creative collaboration with London based multidisciplinary artist and musician Gaika Tavares (brother of the film’s co-director Kibwe Tavares), the in-house Custom Team at Royal Enfield’s UK Technology Centre began a creative process of conceptual ideation to develop a machine that would feel fully integrated into this unique landscape.

The boundaries of functionality, form and aesthetics were pushed to the nth degree with each of the multiple sub-designs that were brought to the creative table for consideration. Some designs were heavily inspired by iconic sci-fi references, some were more brutalist and neo-retro in their look and feel, and others played homage to certain aspects of cyber-punk film culture and nods to nostalgic street fashion. Through a process of creative refinement and amalgamation, taking cues and inspiration from the various directions – an anarchic custom ‘mutant’ was born.

Built upon the brand-new Shotgun 650 platform, ‘IZI’s Ride’ is a bold tribute to this very culture of customisation embedded into the DNA of the Royal Enfield brand and celebrates the unique sense of individuality that defines any custom build. Paying homage to its precursor, the SG650 Concept (shown for the first time at EICMA 2021) with its neo-dystopian design and radical aesthetics, ‘IZI’s Ride’ pushes the limits to what the customs of tomorrow could potentially look like.

Custom features developed for ‘IZI’s Ride’ include:

● Front and rear wheel hub covers – rapid prototype
● Monocoque tank & seat unit cover – rapid prototype and milled foam
● Integrated perspex and LED tail lamp
● New sub-frame – fabricated steel
● Replacement side covers – rapid prototype
● Front fork covers with integrated LED lighting – rapid prototyping and milling
● Swingarm covers – rapid prototyping
● Bespoke colour and graphics – paint and vinyl

Says Adrian Sellers, Head of Royal Enfield’s Custom & Motorsport programme; “We’re really excited to write another chapter in the rapidly evolving story of Royal Enfield design and customisation with ‘IZI’s Ride’. It’s been a real honour and certainly a first for us as a brand to be so prominently involved in a major Netflix film, and to take design inspiration and start the conceptualisation process quite literally from reading the pages of a major film script written by an Oscar winner. To have the opportunity to work with such a wide team of incredible creatives, actors, directors and designers all at the very top of their game was an experience we’ve relished.”

“It is always exciting to design for a ‘what if…’ scenario, to really push the bounds of convention and fulfil a creative brief that’s quite like no other that’s come our way before. The constructed world of ‘The Kitchen’ is so incredibly visceral, and so masterfully engineered by the production and directorial team, that to create a motorcycle that would feel utterly believable and at home within such a future-dystopian environment while at the same time be instantly recognizable in carrying Royal Enfield’s custom DNA was a real challenge. In fact, we ended up creating two identical motorcycles as there were a number of requirements in the script for the bike to be crashed, scraped and generally thrown about. The riding scenes and the stunt work in the film are very impressive, and the film certainly shines a light on various elements of underground bike subcultures which are largely misunderstood. The whole project was wonderfully collaborative and rewarding to develop, requiring the creative input of many different aspects of our internal design team – from Industrial Design to Color Trim and Graphics and CGI – as well as drawing upon the vision and creativity of such a renowned and respected artist as Gaika. Each member contributed their own piece to the puzzle in bringing this iconic build to life.”

MV Agusta’s Dragster Featured in Argylle

MV Agusta’s Dragster Featured in new Matthew Vaughn film, Argylle.

The Apple original film Argylle, in association with Marv, arrives in cinemas February 2.

MV Agusta is thrilled to announce the featuring of its wicked Dragster model in Argylle, the new Apple Original Film from Matthew Vaughn’s MARV Studios. The razor-witted, reality-bending, globe-encircling spy thriller from the twisted mind of director Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman films, Kick-Ass) arrives in theaters February 2, 2024, and features an all-star cast including Henry Cavill, Bryce Dallas Howard, Oscar winner Sam Rockwell, and the legendary Samuel L. Jackson.

MV Agusta’s Dragster is the smart rebel in our collection: inimitable, and with a unique personality. The curves of the fuel tank and headlight, the bobbed tail and the elegant wheels superbly frame the 800 cc, three-cylinder engine at the heart of the Dragster. Ready for action, bursting with exuberance and power, it simply was the perfect choice for an adrenaline-packed movie such as Argylle. The three-cylinder of the Dragster leaves you breathless thanks to its immediate and precise response to the twist of the throttle.

Timur Sardarov, MV Agusta Motor S.p.A. CEO, commented: “We can’t wait to see the movie! The fact that our stunning Dragster was chosen by the creators of Argylle to represent brutal elegance, unwavering style, and raw, ruthless power fills us with pride. No doubt that MV Agusta fans around the world will enjoy the movie just as much as we do.”

In Argylle, Bryce Dallas Howard plays Elly Conway, the reclusive author of a series of best-selling espionage novels, whose idea of bliss is a night at home with her cat, Alfie. But when the plots of Elly’s fictional books—which center on secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate—begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization, quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past. Accompanied by Aidan (Sam Rockwell), a cat-allergic spy, Elly (carrying Alfie in her backpack) races across the world to stay one step ahead of the killers as the line between her fictional world and her real one begins to blur.
