Suzuki Unveils New 30th Anniversary GSX-R Livery

Suzuki Motor Corporation has today unveiled a 30th Anniversary production GSX-R1000 at Sachsenring in Germany that will be available soon from Suzuki dealerships globally. It is finished in the same striking limited-edition paint scheme that will be debuted on-track by Aleix Espargarò and Maverick Viñales at this weekend’s MotoGP™ World Championship race.

Sporting the legendary blue and white livery pioneered by Kevin Schwantz in the 1980s, both Spaniards have matching leathers in celebration of the GSX-R range and its racing heritage.

Since its launch in 1985 as a ground-breaking 750cc Superbike, the GSX-R range of production motorcycles has regularly set new standards with cutting-edge design and class-leading innovation and performance; winning a huge following of more-than a million GSX-R customers worldwide.

The GSX-R has also dominated on the racetrack with a long history of success in world and domestic championships globally with new technology being directly employed in its production machines. In 2005, the Suzuki GSX-R1000 dominated the FIM World Superbike Championship with Australian Troy Corser recording eight race wins and a total of 18 podium appearances on his way to becoming World Champion.

Suzuki Endurance Racing Team (SERT) and the Suzuki GSX-R is the most successful team in the FIM Endurance World Championship with a total of 14 victories between 1983 and 2014; 13 of which were won with GSX-Rs (the other one in 1983 with a Suzuki GS1000).

Suzuki is also the most successful manufacturer in AMA Superbikes with Matt Mladin, Wes Cooley, Jamie James and Ben Spies collecting a total of 13 national titles aboard their Yoshimura-tuned GSX-Rs.

Also a young up-and-coming Texan by the name of Kevin Schwantz – who had previously been making a name for himself aboard the Suzuki GS750, switched to the GSX-R, winning many races and, although he just missed-out on the battle for the 1987 AMA Superbike crown, the GSX-R racing pedigree was born as a class-leading machine both on-track and on-the-road as a must-have and revered motorcycle.

The Suzuki GSX-R has also dominated domestic championships globally with nine Australian Superbike Championship titles between 1987 and 2013 in the hands of Tony Armstrong (1987), Peter Goddard (1996), Shawn Giles (2000, 2001, 2002), Craig Coxhell (2003), Josh Waters (2009, 2012) and Wayne Maxwell (2013). The GSX-R has also racked-up numerous race wins in British Superbikes and victory for Crescent Q8 Rizla Suzuki rider John Reynolds in 2004, along with multi-championship titles in the ultra-competitive All Japan Superbike Championship in the TTF1, S-NK, Superbike and JSB1000 classes with Satoshi Tsjujimoto, Yukiya Ohshima, Doug Polen, Manabu Kamada, Keiichi Kitagawa, Akira Ryo and Atsushi Watabe.

The evolution of the GSX-R lies with its predecessor, the GS, which started many riders and teams on the path to victory.

The Suzuki GS series was Suzuki Motor Corporation’s first full range of 4-stroke road bikes, launched in 1976 in 750cc guise; which then expanded to include smaller GS550, GS1000, GS125 and GS1200SS models over the years. However, it was the 750 and 1000cc models that drove development on the race track and led-to the development of a new breed of motorcycle; the GSX-R.

The GS had a great handling chassis and a reliable engine that made Suzuki’s four-cylinder GS machines ideal for road racing with the GS1000; and tuned by the legendary ‘Pops’ Yoshimura winning the 1978 Daytona Superbike race, the 1978 Suzuka 8-Hours in Japan and the AMA Superbike national championship in 1979 and 1980 with Wes Cooley, it set new standards. In Europe, Graeme Crosby won the Formula TT World Championship in 1980 and 1981 with his Yoshimura-powered GS1000 Suzuki. Similar success came with the GS for Schwantz and also SERT; both scoring major success with the 750 and 1000cc machines.

SERT, in its third year in the World Endurance Championship racing the GS-model Suzuki, clinched its first world title in 1983 with Richard Hubin and Herve Moineau in the saddle aboard the GS1000. Then in 1985, in America, Schwantz gave the GS its final race victories before moving to the GSX-R and then onwards to compete in the World 500cc Championship where he became World 500cc GP Champion in 1993 for Suzuki.

Today, as well as celebrating 30 years of the GSX-R, Suzuki Motor Corporation is proud to be once again part of the MotoGP™ paddock with a new team of exciting young riders and a brand-new machine in the GSX-RR. Suzuki’s philosophy from development on the racetrack has, for 30+ years, led to improvements and developments in Suzuki’s road-going production machinery that will include the next generation GSX-R and other models from Suzuki in the future.

Kevin Schwantz:

“I first rode the GSXR in 1985 at the Suzuka 8-Hour with Graeme Crosby. We didn’t get the Suzuki GSX-Rs in the United States until ‘86 but raced them in American Superbikes in ‘86 and ‘87. I won the Daytona 200 on a Suzuki GSX-R in 1988 and continued to race the 8-Hour all the way through to the 1992 season.

“I’ve been involved with Suzuki and raced Suzukis my entire career and to have seen the GSX-R evolve. I like to think that some of the Grand Prix racing I did helped with some development of the GSX-R; maybe some of the technology they learned from GP racing is stuff that has evolved and gone into the production GSX-R motorcycles. Whether it’s a 600, 750, 1000, or all the other different sizes that they have made, they’re all just as much fun to ride.

“The GSX-R was ground-breaking technology, the latest, greatest thing when it came out and it has continued to be an awesome sports bike, a great handling motorcycle and it is still very, very competitive in the Suzuka 8-Hour. With over a million GSX-Rs made it is true to say that there are millions and millions of people who have bought them, ridden them and love them.

“The Suzuki GSX-R to me is the definition of a sport bike. When the GSX-R came out it completely changed the definition of a sports bike and it has continued to improve ever since.”

BMW Motorrad announces model updates for 2016

New Dynamic Brake Light introduced and ABS Pro comes to three further models.

BMW Motorrad has announced a number of 2016 model year updates including the new Dynamic Brake Light, a special-edition model and new colour options.

Dynamic Brake Light.

As part of BMW Motorrad’s Safety 360° strategy, Dynamic Brake Light has been created as a passive safety feature. The system, which is integrated into the BMW advanced motorcycle braking system ABS Pro, operates in two stages.

If the rider brakes from over 50km/h, the rear brake light flashes at a rate of 5Hz, making the motorcycle as visible as possible to other road users.

Additionally, if the speed drops below 14km/h then the hazard warning lights are automatically activated, before being switched off once the rider accelerates back up to 20km/h.

Suzuki Celebrates 30 Years of the GSX-R With Special Livery

In October 1984, Suzuki showed-up at the IFMA Show in Köln, Germany with a brand-new ground-breaking GSX-R750, setting a new industry-standard for the future of race-driven Superbikes that started a legacy for the Japanese company.

The 1985 production GSX-R750 was the first real race-replica machine sold to the public, taking its heritage from the race track and over the years being updated and developed into possibly the world’s best-loved range of motorcycles.

Suzuki will celebrate 30 years of the GSX-R with a special promotion at the Sachsenring MotoGP™ race in Germany next weekend, along with launching a new limited-edition production machine that will be available globally. Suzuki Motor Corporation is grateful to all its many loyal GSX-R series customers worldwide, as without them, this 30th Anniversary celebration would not have been possible.

With Suzuki’s move back into the top-level of road racing competition, the 2015 MotoGP™ World Championship, the two new Suzuki GSX-RRs ridden by Aleix Espargarò and Maverick Viñales – as well as all the team’s clothing – will reflect the iconic GSX-R750 colours, with a special livery that will be unveiled on Thursday July 9th at the Sachsenring circuit.

4th Generation Peugeot Speedfight Scooter

Peugeot has launched the fourth generation of its iconic Speedfight scooter, which arrives in UK dealers this summer, ahead of its 20th birthday next year.

More than half a million Speedfight scooters have been sold since its launch in 1996 and the new Speedfight 4 gets a complete makeover, with a new engine and higher specification.

Styling is inspired by the Peugeot Exalt concept car, with twin helicoid headlights, separated by the distinctive grille, micro bulb crystal turn indicators and aviation-style fuel cap.

The dashboard has both USB and 12V sockets and is ready to take a RAM® X-Grip® smartphone holder; it also features an on-board digital multifunction computer.

Topping the range are the Iceblade and Pure special series, with matching pillion seat cowls, stainless steel footboards and bar ends, highlighted inserts in the air intakes and limited edition alloy wheels. Power is supplied by a new liquid-cooled 2-stroke engine, delivering 5% more power and 15% more torque than the previous model, and potent braking comes from a Ø 215 mm Shuricane front disc with radial calliper and dual piston, backed up by a Ø 190 mm Shuricane disc at the rear.

There are three colour options for the base model – blue France, flat red and fluo apple green – all styled on the same principle as the 30th anniversary Peugeot Sport 208 GTI, with matt black rear bodywork that contrasts with a bright colour at the front. Its 50cc 2-stroke engine is air-cooled, with a new Dell’Orto carburettor that delivers 10% more torque than before. It has a Ø 215 mm shuricane radial calliper disc brake up front, with a Ø 110 mm drum at the rear.

The Speedfight 4 can be ridden on an AM licence, making it accessible to anyone aged 16 or over. AM category scooters can also be ridden by anyone who passed their car driving test before 1st February 2001, without the need to take any extra tests.

Prices start at £1899 OTR, for the base series Speedfight 4; the special series Iceblade/Pure are £2099. All are covered by a 2-year unlimited mileage parts & labour warranty. Information and details of authorised Peugeot Scooter dealers can be found at peugeotscooters.co.uk

GS1000S Added To Suzuki’s Vintage Parts Programme

Suzuki’s GS1000S is the latest model to be added to the firm’s popular Vintage Parts programme, with nearly 1,000 parts still available for the iconic machine.

The GS1000 reached cult status in the hotly contested, high capacity, four-stroke arena, with Suzuki’s previous motorcycle production dominated by two-strokes. The GS series set the foundations for not only subsequent production bikes, but also four-stroke racing success too.

1978 saw the first introduction of the GS1000, which won the Daytona superbike race and the prestigious Suzuka 8-hour the same year, before going on to dominate the Daytona race for the next three years. The S variant came to market in 1979 and went on to claim championship wins in the AMA series as well carrying Graeme Crosby to wins at the Isle of Man TT and the Suzuka 8-hour event again in 1980.

Suzuki GB’s Tim Davies said, “The GS1000 is renowned for its classic status and is still desirable today, and we’re delighted to be able to add it to our Vintage Parts programme, with so many parts still available. As a result it makes maintaining or restoring one of these iconic machines even easier, with owners manuals and other parts booklets available to download for free from the Vintage Parts website too.”

The GS1000 joins the RGV250 VJ21, GT750J-M, GSX-R750F-H, GT250EX and AP50 on the Vintage Parts programme.

The “Scrambler You Are” contest is back

The second edition of the international “Scrambler You Are” video contest kicks off and is dedicated to the Ducati Scrambler world’s “Land of Joy” theme. Promoted by the Future Film Festival, “Scrambler You Are” aims to discover and commend young video makers, offering them the chance to express themselves as they portray the Scrambler world.

The theme of the 2015 contest is based around street culture: with a video lasting from 60 to 120 seconds, participants are invited to portray the “urban jungle” with its wall paintings, skate parks, street food, outdoor scenes, nature and bikes. Restricted to video makers of 18 years and above, the contest is open to unpublished works filmed digitally.

Contending video makers can check the rules and regulations (available in 8 languages) and can upload their videos (from July 13 through to October 20, 2015) at the www.scramblerducati.com/scrambleryouare webpage. All video clips reaching the Scrambler website are judged by the users of the portal and subsequently by a jury made up of cinema and communication specialists.

The best video designated by the official jury will win a 5000 Euros prize. A 1000 Euros prize will also be awarded to the runner up voted by the popular online jury. A contestant will also be chosen from among the finalists to work with Ducati as assistant director on the production of a short film about the Scrambler world.

Suzuki Set For Summer Roadshow

Suzuki’s test ride roadshow returns for 2015 with events taking place across the manufacturer’s dealer network this summer.

A mainstay of the Suzuki events calendar in recent years, the roadshow kicks off on July 4 and sees a whole fleet of demo machines tour the country, with test rides available on a number of models in the brand’s on-road range, including the new GSX-S1000 super-naked.

Also available to test ride at each event will be the GSX-S1000F, GSX-R1000 and both the V-Strom 650 and V-Strom 1000 machines. The iconic Hayabusa will be available to try, along with the GSX-R750, Intruder M1800RBZ, the Bandit 1250S, and the Burgman 650 Executive.

Suzuki GB Marketing Manager Rob Cooper said, “Our test ride roadshows have proven really popular with both dealers and customers alike in recent years. They give us a real opportunity to get out into dealerships and spend some time talking to customers, listening to their thoughts and feedback. It also gives people the chance to take a test ride on a number of bikes in the range and bikes that their dealership may not always have available as a demo machine. These events, coupled with events like our Biker Café days and Silverstone track day in August, make for an action-packed summer and we’re looking forward to getting the roadshow underway.”

With both north and south demo fleets touring the country, the first events in this year’s roadshow calendar take place at Motoden in London and Saltire Suzuki in Edinburgh on Saturday 4 July, and continue every weekend until the end of September.

For a full list of roadshow dates visit www.suzuki-gb.co.uk.

Terms & Conditions

Bike availability may differ at each event so please contact your local dealer for more information. GSX-S1000FA is not available on the roadshow until mid-July 2015. Demonstration rides require an agreed booking and are solely at the discretion of the dealer. With the paper counterpart for UK driving licences now redundant, those willing to take a test ride at any of the events must show both a photo card driving licence and their national insurance number so licence checks can be carried out. You may be asked for a deposit and further dealer terms and conditions may also apply. Please confirm your request with the dealer before travelling.

Get a Vespa Helmet on your Head

Vespa’s new VJ and VJ1 Helmets offer the best of both worlds – modern features and materials wrapped up in traditional open-face styling.

Ideal for urban use, the new helmets feature a demi-jet design for all-round vision on congested streets in towns and cities, and are compact enough to fit inside the under-seat storage compartments on most scooters, as well as in top boxes and side cases.

Unlike many traditional open face lids, both the VJ and VJ1 feature a retractable sun visor. The VJ also comes with a full-length clear external visor as standard for added protection against the weather, dust and dirt thrown up from busy roads.

Safety is taken care of by a strong and lightweight ABS shell, fully approved to the current ECE2205 safety standard. Both the VJ and VJ1 are held firmly in place by a micro-adjustable seatbelt-style strap and fastener. This is quick-release system, so there’s no fiddling around when your destination is reached.

A breathable textile lining keeps the rider comfortable and cool in the heat of the city, and it’s removable and washable.

Finished with a stylish chrome rim and a subtle Vespa logo on the front, both the VJ and VJ1 will look the part on any retro ride.

The VJ comes in sizes XS to XL; in Black, White, Grey and Red and sells for £129.99. The VJ1 also comes in XS-XL; in Black, White and Blue and retails at £115.99.

Ducati receives the Professor Ferdinand Porsche award for technological innovation on the Multistrada 1200 S D|air

The University of Technology of Vienna (TU-Wien) has awarded the Ducati Multistrada 1200 S D|air with the prestigious prize named after Professor Ferdinand Porsche. This is the first time the honour, assigned every two years by the Viennese University for outstanding technological innovation in the automotive industry, has been awarded to a factory motorcycle.

The prize-giving ceremony was held on Friday 19 June at the Vienna University Festival Hall to commemorate the innovative genius of automobile pioneer Ferdinand Porsche (1875 –1951), Laurea Honoris Causa of the University of Technology of Vienna, and so reward European engineering excellence.

This year the prize went to Ducati and Dainese on account of the engineering innovation shown by both companies in a ground-breaking engineering project focused on improving safety.

Professor Bernhard Geringer, Director of the Institute of Automotive Engines and Technology of the University of Technology of Vienna and coordinator of the Professor Ferdinand Porsche Award organising committee, formally thanked Claudio Domenicali, Ducati Motor Holding CEO, who was present at the cefremony. He then handed over the 2015 prize to Federico Sabbioni, Head of Vehicle Project Management of Ducati Motor Holding. On receiving the award Mr. Sabbioni stated “It’s an honour to represent the company at such an important ceremony. Ducati has always been committed to safety. Over the last ten years we’ve developed numerous systems for this purpose; from ABS, which today is a standard feature on all our motorcycles, and which is now available on the Multistrada 1200 complete with Cornering function, to Traction and Wheelie Control, as well as semi-active suspension. Passive safety is equally important when riding a motorcycle. Constructive, pioneering teamwork between Ducati and Dainese has led to the evolution of the D|air Street® System incorporated on the Multistrada 1200: it now includes a new algorithm that senses when the motorcycle is sliding out from underneath the rider and consequently activates the airbag. Moreover, the on-board system of sensors and control units has been developed together with the motorcycle to ensure quality and reliability. A huge step forwards for safety, then, but also an exceptional engineering achievement, the outcome of two brilliant companies with a strong R&D focus”.

The new Multistrada 1200 S D|air is a milestone in terms of technological innovation and riding pleasure. It provides, as a complement to other as-standard bike safety features, an intelligent vehicle-integrated system that is wireless-connected to Dainese-made Ducati Apparel D|air airbag jackets. The Multistrada D|air system analyses the data and can inflate the jacket airbags (rider and passenger) in just 45 milliseconds, considerably reducing the risk of impact-related injuries. The Multistrada 1200 S D|air has TÜV SÜD certification, issued by the authoritative German body responsible for wearable airbag standards.

The 2015 version of the Multistrada 1200 S D|air will be available in European Ducati Dealerships starting from the end of July.

Choose epic – The New Triumph Tiger Explorer Range

The new Tiger Explorer family has been conceived, designed and built to deliver the ultimate transcontinental adventure motorcycle for every rider.

The new Triumph Explorer range is available in two distinct model variants – the XR series, designed and optimised to deliver the ultimate on-road ride, and the XC series, designed to excel off-road. Both the XR and XC models are more than capable of performing in either environment.  The range-topping Explorer XCa and Explorer XRt models offer an unprecedented level of equipment and technology to provide a motorcycle completely prepared for any adventure – no matter the distance or destination.

All models, from the range-entry Explorer XR and Explorer XC through to the top tier XCa and XRt, feature a 1215cc triple engine, unique in the large capacity adventure segment, delivering its power through a final shaft drive. The triple engine’s power is delivered smoothly and progressively across the rev and speed ranges through its linear torque curve. A torque-assisted clutch makes the clutch action incredibly light, in turn making both long distances and stop-start urban riding less demanding on the rider. The engine performance is also enhanced through a new exhaust system, with a distinctive resonant note.

The new Tiger Explorer features a host of technological upgrades with a particular emphasis on state-of-the-art active technology to ensure superb stability and control.

These features include:

  • Triumph semi-active suspension
  • Corner optimised switchable ABS and Traction Control
  • The introduction of rider modes, including a rider programmable mode
  • Hill hold control

The new Tiger Explorer’s overall performance is given a new level of dynamism through the use of WP adjustable suspension on the two entry level models.  The other four models feature the ground-breaking Triumph semi active suspension system. This allows the rider to electronically control the adjustment of the front and rear suspension damping, automatically adapting the rear shock absorber pre-load settings to reflect the terrain being covered and providing optimal grip and drive in any situation.

To give the rider the handling, control and response they want to negotiate both well-made roads and broken terrain in all conditions, the Tiger Explorer offers, as standard, multi-channel switchable ABS and traction control on the entry level XR and XC models. The other four variants come with cornering-optimised ABS and traction control, to ensure superb stability even when approaching the most challenging apex.

The Explorer XCx, XCa, XRx and XRT all feature an Inertial Measurement Unit that, through a series of strategically positioned sensors, monitors and responds to the bike’s movement status, calculates the lean angle of the bikes and uses this measurement to ensure greater stability by optimising the performance of the ABS and traction control systems.

Add to this the choice of up to five different rider modes – four of which are pre-set and one which can be programmed by the rider – which alters the configuration of the bike to suit riding style, road and weather conditions.

Additionally, the new hill hold control feature prevents the motorcycle rolling back when attempting to set off on a steep incline – particularly beneficial when the motorcycle is fully-loaded or carrying a passenger.

The Explorer features a new engine with more power, improved handling, rider and active rider-focused technology packaged in a family of bikes with a contemporary look and style that are distinctly their own. Featuring sharp new lines that give a stylish and muscular look combined to deliver enhanced rider and passenger thermal comfort. Additionally, all models introduce a first-in-class electrically adjustable screen that allows the rider to constantly tailor aero protection and comfort whilst riding.

The new Triumph Tiger Explorer range, with its choice of specifications and switchable, selectable and programmable features, is a range of bikes that allows riders to tailor their desired adventure, to go anywhere and everywhere from the daily commute to the corners of the earth.

Ducati Museum awarded TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2015

For the fourth year running the Ducati Museum has been awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, a prestigious acknowledgment given to tourist facilities and attractions that are consistently given excellent reviews on the world’s largest travel website. The TripAdvisor Award reflects the high satisfaction ratings posted by the constant stream of visitors to the Ducati Museum which, in 2014 alone, attracted over 40,000 people from all over the world. TripAdvisor contributors gave the Ducati Museum a score (4.5 out of 5) that almost reached the website maximum.

To select the winners of the Certificate of Excellence, TripAdvisor uses a special algorithm that takes into account a range of factors such as the quality, quantity and relevance of the reviews. It also considers the opinions posted by travellers over the last 12 months, the position of the attraction in the site’s popularity rankings and how long it has been in those rankings.

The Ducati Museum, actually located inside the motorcycle production plant, takes visitors into the past, letting them discover the origins of Ducati and admire the bikes that have written international motorcycling history. Inaugurated in 1998, the Museum covers an area of about 850 square metres and offers a unique insight into over half a century of motorcycle racing. The Museum showcases the very best ever built by Ducati: from the products of the pre-motorcycle era and the famous 1946 Cucciolo, to the Desmosedici GP that won the World Motorcycling Championship. This history journey passes through seven different theme-based multimedia rooms organised by Livio Lodi, the museum’s curator; here, the bikes live on with the thrills they once generated, thanks to vintage footage, accessories and curios, being able to recreate the entire Ducati saga. The Museum is thus a perfect representation of the Bologna-based motorcycle manufacturer’s unique history, which has combined technological innovation and design with exceptional sports performance.

The Ducati Museum can also be visited virtually on Google Maps: here, thanks to high definition images, it’s possible to enter the Red Passion Temple by following the famous Cavalieri Ducati street that takes you to the company and then exploring, right down to the last detail, the rooms and the displayed bikes. A fantastic opportunity to experience Ducati from anywhere in the world, anytime.

In 2012 the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities (Regional Supervisor of Cultural and Landscape Heritage of Emilia Romagna) declared the Ducati Museum, together with the motorcycle manufacturer’s archives, to be of outstanding historical and cultural importance, so much so that they are on the official archival heritage listings.

The Land of Joy arrives at Wheels and Waves 2015

The Ducati Scrambler is heading for Wheels and Waves 2015 with its Land of Joy. This well-known French event, to be held from 11 to 14 June in Biarritz, attracts enthusiasts from all over the world, year after year, all eager to experience a weekend of two-wheeled fun and surfing. Wheels and Waves, launched four years ago by six French motorcyclists with an unbridled passion for bikes, waves and art, is nothing less than a true festival that’s all about getting together and sharing, a festival that draws more and more people with every new edition.

Wheels and Waves is the last stage of a tour which saw the SC-Rumble (a special Ducati Scrambler-based custom bike built by Vibrazioni® Art Design in collaboration with Pirelli) leave London on 7 June. The SC-Rumble was presented on 22 May at the Bike Shed fair in London: the guys from Vibrazioni® Art Design later set out for Biarritz from the Tobacco Dock, the building near Tower Bridge where the event was held. The SC-Rumble, after leaving the United Kingdom by ferry, reached Calais and continued heading southward via Mont Saint-Michel and on toward Nantes and Arcachon ahead of its arrival at the world-famous surfing resort of Biarritz.

Plenty of Ducati Scrambler fans and friends joined them on the way, including Mr. Martini, who also set out from London on his own S. C. R. Scrambler-based special, presented on 23 January at the Motor Bike Expo in Verona. Moreover, another Ducati Scrambler custom bike has also arrived in Biarritz: the ‘Magione’, prepared by renowned Belgian customizer Fred Krugger, winner of the Custom Bike Building World Championship in 2010 and 2014.

Fred Krugger’s Scrambler has undergone changes to the tank and frame. It also has an original single-seater metal tail fairing and a new tubular steel swing arm. The exhaust has also been overhauled and there is now a high-mounted dual silencer on the right.

At the Ducati Scrambler stand in Biarritz (which, in typical Wheels and Waves fashion, is underneath a military-type tarpaulin), numerous Scrambler-based specials will be on display until 14 June. These will include the ‘Hondo Grattan’ by Deus Ex Machina and the ‘Scratch’, built by Officine Mermaid, presented on 23 January at the Motor Bike Expo in Verona. Another ‘special guest’ in the Scrambler area will be the Hero1, an independent build by Holographic Hammer and Moto Heroes.

Lastly, the Wheels and Waves art gallery will display the excellent work dedicated to the Ducati Scrambler by Japanese artist Gao Nishikawa.
