Protect Your Signal With CLICKnRIDE Quick-Release Indicators

R&G, the world leader in damage protection products, is excited to be adding CLICKnRIDE quick-release indicators to its range this winter. The universal system works on almost any machine and is the perfect accompaniment to stop your indicators being damaged during a day of off-road “bush bashing” or on a track.

Any motorcyclist who regularly rides off-road or has crashed a road bike on a trackday knows that indicators are often one of the first items to be damaged. The new, R&G-distributed quick-release indicators simply click in and out by hand in seconds, allowing riders to remove them and store them safely before heading out “green laning” or on track. The tried-and-tested indicators can be installed on virtually any bike and have no moving parts to wear out, ensuring CLICKnRIDE products are made to last. The 3D lens is ultra-sonically welded to provide a waterproof, seamless finish, whilst the socket features a Moisture Guard to keep out dirt and water. Having undergone extensive testing, each indicator is road legal and E-Marked.  Spare parts are also available, as well as a hard-wearing carry pouch with individual sections for each indicator. Prices start from £41.66 (excl. VAT) for a set of two and they are available now from R&G; please see www.rg-racing.com/browsebrand/Click’n’Ride/

R&G UK Sales Manager Alan Garrett added “CLICKnRIDE have already proven to be very popular in Australia, where they originate, so we’re excited to be bringing them to a whole new audience here in the UK. The simple release system means riders can quickly unplug their indicators before heading off-road or on track and store them safely, ready for the ride home.”

Glaring Issue Cured By Wunderlich

BMW accessory specialists Wunderlich have added Glare Shields for the latest TFT screens.

Summer sunshine can brighten up any ride, but it can also make a bike’s dash display tricky to read; leaving the rider at risk of missing out on key information like speed, fuel and fluid levels, along with warning lights, indicators and other crucial information.

Specifically designed for the latest BMW TFT dash display units, Wunderlich Glare Shields help stop reflections and glare from the sun obscuring the screen and the information displayed.

Made from tough, UV and impact-resistant ABS, they are fixed with a simple ‘click-to-fit’ system – no drilling or gluing required – so they stay securely attached, even at higher speeds, yet are easily removable should the rider wish.

Tailor made for each model, they’re designed to offer maximum coverage of the display without hindering the operation of the unit in any way. Finished in black, they also blend with each model’s styling.

Like most of Wunderlich’s range, Glare Shields are made in Germany and come with a five-year guarantee for complete peace of mind.Prices start from £30, including VAT.

Glare shields are available for many earlier models and most common navigation devices too. For more information visit the exclusive UK distributor for Wunderlich, www.nippynormans.com

BMW Plug’n’play The Nippy Way

BMW riders can now power multiple devices on the move, without having to resort to fiddly and unreliable adapters, thanks to the new ‘Plug and Play’ Dual USB Socket from Nippy Normans.

All modern BMW bikes come equipped with a DIN socket to power accessories, however most devices require USB to charge, so adapters are often necessary, which can make the set-up more complex and less reliable.

Based on years of experience and customer feedback, Nippy Normans developed the Dual USB socket specifically to solve the problem.

Designed for Plug-and-Play, the unit completely replaces the bike’s original DIN socket: simply unplug and remove the DIN from bike’s cable harness and install the USB dual charger in the same place and using same connector – no cutting of wires, soldering or expensive labour charges!

Both ports are weatherproof when in use – specially designed rubber membranes seal around the USB plug when it is inserted, protecting it against dust, dirt and moisture.

When not in use, separate rubber caps, which may be easily opened whilst wearing gloves, pop over the top of each port.

The Socket has an output voltage of 5V (+/- 5%) so is compatible with the most smartphones, sat-navs and tablets, and features Intelligent device recognition to detect Apple and Android devices.

Output over-voltage, overheating and short-circuit protection is also built in for complete peace of mind and each port has a current limiter.

The Plug-and-Play Dual USB Socket is fully Can Bus compatible and retails at just £35.00 including VAT. Supplied with full installation instructions, it can be fitted to the following BMW models:

  • F 650 twin / 700 GS / 800 GS / 850 GS
  • R 1200 GS LC 2013 on and 2017 on
  • R 1200 Adventure LC 2014 on and 2018 on

Venhill Upgrade Tracer 700 Controls

Upgrade the brake lines and control cables on the Yamaha Tracer 700 with these new kits from British manufacturer Venhill.

A direct swap for the factory-fitted versions, the Venhill Featherlight-specification throttle and clutch cables offer improved performance and durability, yet require less maintenance than the original equipment. Made in the UK using marine-grade stainless steel inner wire that runs through a teflon liner for minimum friction and light action, feel and control are enhanced, while pressure on the hands is reduced, especially in stop start traffic and during long rides.

Each cable is ‘bird-caged’ – a special process applied to the end of the inner cable wire, which allows solder to penetrate the weave of the cable, making the bond with the nipple much stronger. The teflon lining also removes the need for lubrication.

Venhill Powerhose Plus braided brake lines feature a DuPont® Teflon® core, which is resistant to heat, softening, expansion and loss of shape, delivering more efficient fluid flow to the callipers, and increased braking force compared to the originals. Stainless steel braid is wrapped around the core, to prevent further pressure expansion. All Venhill braided brake hoses exceed American DOT and German TUV requirements, and, for further peace of mind, every hose that leaves their UK factory is pressure tested to 1500psi.

Throttle cables retail at £36.77 the clutch cable costs £20.46. Prices for braided hose kits start at £78.49 (front) and £53.79 (rear). All are available in a choice of colours at no extra cost and prices include VAT. Call Venhill on 01306 885111 or visit www.venhill.co.uk for details.

Scottoiler launch new xSystem electronic chain oiler

Motorcycle chain lubrication specialists Scottoiler are to launch a new electronic chain oiling system – the xSystem. The highly anticipated new product will be officially released through Scottoiler’s global distribution network from Monday 30th April.

The xSystem is Scottoiler’s easiest to install and most user friendly system to date. It features a revolutionary new design that offers user friendly features, such as one touch adjustment, in a compact package that provides optimal chain lubrication for all riding conditions.

Sales & Marketing Director, Nick Muddle commented,
“We are very excited to be bringing another new product to the market. The xSystem is a new electronic chain oiler that perfectly fills the gap between our flagship mechanically operated vSystem and our premium eSystem. The xSystem provides customers with another option for how to deal with chain maintenance that is without doubt our best fit and forget solution yet. Initial orders through our distribution network have been very encouraging and it is an exciting time for everyone at Scottoiler”.

The xSystem uses a micro-processor and triple axis accelerometer to ensure your chain is lubricated automatically with minimal rider input. Installation and setup are simple too, something which will appeal to both dealers and home mechanics alike.

One key feature of the xSystem is the new dispenser design. It uses high quality super-adhesive 3M tape that sticks to all surfaces and provides an easy and effective solution for mounting the dispenser. The new dispenser parts reduce the risk of incorrect installation and the need to use any unsightly cable ties around the swingarm. Compatible with most types of swingarms, left or right transmission systems and even single sided swingarms the new dispenser makes the xSystem installation easy, reliable and discreet.

The xSystem offers 5 different flow rate settings that approximate to 20, 50, 80, 120 and 150 seconds between each pump activation so it can be easily adjusted at the push of a button to provide optimal lubrication whatever the riding conditions. It also has the ability to be switched off when not in use for extended periods or when the bikes goes in for a service. Your settings are stored in the xSystems memory so when reactivated it will continue to maintain your chain to your preference on your next ride.

The xSystem really is so simple to use. Once installed you can easily adjust the flow rate, if conditions deem it necessary, and refilling when needed is straight forward. In turn it will eliminate the hassle of cleaning and lubricating your chain manually, with the low-tack Scottoil making it so much easier to keep your transmission clean. Ultimately the xSystem will significantly extending your chain and sprocket life, saving you money on costly replacements.

Commercial Director Matt Ennen said,

“The xSystem has the potential to be a game changer in the motorcycle world. When showing the initial prototype designs at recent Motorcycle Shows the feedback has been nothing but positive.”

For over 30 years Scottoiler have been the market leaders in automatic chain lubrication. With a global distribution network spanning over 30 countries, Scottoiler are renowned worldwide as the benchmark for motorcycle chain maintenance. The launch of the xSystem is the culmination of an extensive research and development project from the Scottish company as they continue to bring chain lubrication to more and more motorcyclists around the world, having just this year surpassed half a million customers worldwide.

Constructed from highly-durable STP polymer, these crash protectors from Biketek are designed to provide a ground contact point in the event of a crash.

Designed to fit engine frames, any impact the bike withstands is concentrated through the protector reducing the bike and fairing contact with the ground to minimise crash damage.

Manufactured using STP Polymer, a highly durable non-shatter material offering low friction upon contact – the ideal properties for crash protectors.

There is an extensive range of protectors available for most motorcycle manufactures and models*

RRP: £39.99 to £119.99 dependent on specific motorcycle model

Manufacturers Include:
Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, Honda, Hyosung, Kawasaki, KTM, MV Agusta, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha
