Major update for LS2 Stream Helmet

Complete refresh for LS2’s popular sub-£100 full-face helmet.

Completely redesigned, with a new shell and fully approved to the latest ECE 22.06 standard, the LS2 Stream II represents even more value for riders on a budget.

Updates start with an all-new KPA (Kinetic Polymer Alloy) shell, which offers high penetration resistance and energy dispersion for real peace of mind. It comes in three external shell sizes, to give the smallest possible profile in each size range. This also helps to reduce average weight to just 1550 grams.

Alongside the low weight, aerodynamic-shaping helps keep the head stable. Its long-oval shape and laser-cut foam inserts follow the natural contour of the head, for a snug and comfortable fit.

Dynamic Flow-through Ventilation – with intake ports at the forehead and chin, internal channels and exhaust ports – allows a cooling breeze when needed. The hypoallergenic liner adds a luxury feel, and is removable and washable.

To help reduce misting, a breath deflector is fitted and the 3D Optically Correct visor is Pinlock MaxVision-ready. A drop-down sun visor – easily operated with a gloved hand – also features.

Secured with a micrometric buckle, the Stream II is available in sizes XS-3XL and comes in a choice of solid colours (RRP £99.99) and eye-catching graphic finishes RRP £119.99). All models come with a handy carry bag and reflective stickers.

Launch of The Roof Boxxer 2 Modular Helmet

Launch of the Roof Boxxer 2 modular helmet, between heritage and innovation.

It is a revolution in continuity. The long-awaited renewal of an iconic helmet model for generations of bikers. Don’t we all have in our hearts a Boxer that we have one day seen, worn, sometimes never left again?

For the year of its 30th anniversary, Claude Morin and the entire ROOF product development team worked to launch the ROOF Boxxer 2. A notable development without altering the style of a model whose appeal defies the laws of time.

Almost 30 years after its birth, the star 180° modular helmet from the French manufacturer ROOF is evolving, for our greatest pleasure…and yours.

Switching to the new standard: an engineering challenge
The new E22.06 standard is a challenge, especially for modular helmets. The new impact and tearing tests are forcing manufacturers to reinforce the shell of their modular helmets, without ever making the safety offered by E22.05 helmets obsolete. Result, for a majority of the models launched or under development, an increase in volume and weight gain… But not for the ROOF Boxxer 2.

Indeed, to face this technological challenge and not change the size and weight of the helmet following the transition to the new standard, ROOF was inspired by the technology embedded in its high-end racing helmet, the ROOF RO200 Carbon . Thus, several distinct cushioning zones have been developed in order to save the necessary grams while maintaining a level of safety that is difficult to match for a modular helmet.

Double approval: the development of a specific patent.
The new E22.06 standard also requires equipment manufacturers to offer a system, on their modular helmets, allowing the chin guard to be kept open in the Jet position during all tests. This is to prevent possible risks of injury if the chin guard closes suddenly, during an impact, for example.

ROOF therefore worked on these specifications also having the objectives of taking into consideration the particular case of new rotational impact tests, and also of proposing a discreet, retractable device, which provides a plus in terms of design . Thus, the exclusive patented FlexLocker system was born.

Designed as a security and differentiation accessory.
While looks and designs are a matter of choice, the same must not be true for safety and comfort in everyday use. After having produced more than a million modular helmets in 30 years, ROOF has been able to develop its iconic product, to constantly adjust safety and comfort. The main product characteristics in terms of insulation, already present on the previous generation, can be found on the ROOF Boxxer 2. The only modular fiberglass helmet on the market has also seen its ventilation systems evolve and the design of the side panels offering increased soundproofing and comfort.

Also possible on the previous generation, the installation of an intercom is, on the ROOF Boxxer 2, even easier thanks to slots provided for this purpose, in particular for one of the best sellers on the market.

Resolutely modern
The evolution of design is played out in the details. Tighter lines, running edges on the shell and the chin guard, give the ROOF Boxxer 2 a modern and sporty style.

The choice of colors for this ROOF Boxxer 2 was based on current trends in design and also pop culture.

The ROOF Boxxer 2 helmet will be offered at the recommended retail price of €499 from September 4, 2023.

New LS2 composite flip-front helmet

Dual-homologated, 180-degree flip-front with a lightweight HPFC shell.

LS2’s Advant X is versatile, lightweight and has a host of practical features to make life on the road a breeze, whether riding in town or on the open road.

New for 2023, the Advant X has a High Performance Fibreglass Composite shell, which is strong, flexible and keeps weight down to just 1600 grams – very light for a helmet of this type. It’s also tested to the latest ECE 22.06 safety standard.

Two helmets in one, the Advant X is fully certified P/J for use in the open and closed position, and transforms from open to full face in seconds. The opening mechanism holds the chin bar close to the face, so there’s less leverage on the neck and head when opening and closing. It also automatically lifts the visor with the chin bar, for hassle-free operation.

The visor itself is made from scratch and UV-resistant 3D Optically Correct Polycarbonate for maximum clarity. It’s Pinlock Max Vision-ready and features an intuitive release mechanism for quick and easy removal and refitting. Behind that is a drop-down sun visor for instant relief from the sun’s glare.

Ventilation ports at the chin and forehead, internal channelling through the EPS liner; and large exhaust ports at the rear, offer a cooling flow of air when the temperature rises. Inside there’s a breathable and hypoallergenic comfort liner, which can be removed and washed. The shell is designed with a ‘long-oval’ shape to follow the natural contour of the head. Combined with Laser-Cut Foam inserts, it gives a snug and reassuring fit.

Practical touches like a chin curtain, to help reduce wind noise,  the quick release Micrometric Metal Buckle and Emergency Release System cheek pads, add to the day-to-day practicality.

The LS2 Advant X is available in four solid colour options and four eye-catching graphic schemes. It comes – as standard – with a Pinlock Max Vision insert, Helmet Bag, Carrying Rucksack and Air Bag Support, for easy cleaning and maintenance. Prices start from just £299.99.

New ultra light LS2 Carbon Helmet

Accessibly-priced, premium spec, full carbon road/touring helmet.

New for 2023, the Vector II Carbon brings the race-helmet technology of a 100% full carbon shell, with the comfort and practicality required for the road; all at a refreshingly accessible price.

100% CARBON SHELL
The Vector II Carbon’s premium spec starts at the outer shell, which is made from multiple layers of LS2’s 100% High-Grade Wide Weave carbon fibre. It offers high penetration resistance and energy dispersion, yet weighs in at just 1350 grams [± 50].

Designed and developed in LS2’s European HQ in Barcelona, it’s produced in six outer shell sizes for the smallest outline and closest possible fit in each size range.

It’s also aerodynamically optimised to help keep the head stable at speed and ease fatigue.

CRYSTAL CLEAR VISION
Up front there’s a 3D Optically Correct A-Class Polycarbonate visor, which sits in a wide aperture to maximise all-round vision.

It features an ingenious quick release system, for hassle free removal and fitting – just press on the two release tabs and it’s free.

The visor itself is UV, scratch and fog resistant. It’s also ready to accept tear-offs, and comes with a Pinlock Max Vision Anti Fog System as standard. Behind it sits a flip-down sun visor.

A breath deflector also features, to help channel moisture away and keep the view ahead crystal clear.

OPTIMISED AIRFLOW
A two-step ventilation port on the chin bar, twin intakes on the forehead, and a large exhaust port at the rear allow plenty of airflow, when needed.

Air is directed through internal channelling in the EPS liner to maximise cooling.

All three intakes are easy to open and close with gloved hands, so the wearer can tailor the airflow to suit the conditions.

FIRST CLASS COMFORT
Inside is a breathable hypoallergenic liner, which is removable and washable for year-round freshness.

The shell’s long-oval shaping follows the contours of the head for a natural fit and feel. Combined with Laser-Cut Foam inserts, it gives a reassuringly snug fit.

A Chin Curtain also comes as standard, helping to reduce wind noise; another real bonus on longer rides.

ECE 22.06 CERTIFIED
As you’d expect the Vector II is fully certified to the latest ECE 22.06 safety standard, for complete peace of mind.

Alongside its carbon fibre shell, Multi-Density EPS helps cushion the head from impact. An Emergency Release System allows first responders to remove the cheek pads with minimal movement of the wearer’s head and neck.

Safe and secure fastening is provided by the Reinforced Chin Strap and Micrometric Steel Buckle. It’s anchored firmly to the shell by LS2’s signature triangular Metal Security Plates.

The LS2 Vector II Carbon is available in a solid carbon finish priced £259.99, and five eye-catching graphic options retailing at just £289.99 – serious value for a full carbon road helmet.

Each one is supplied with a high quality storage bag, Pinlock MaxVision insert, reflective stickers and a handy Air Bag Support for maintenance and cleaning.

GIVI Dives into the World of Electric Motorbikes

The Italian firm offers a wide range of products to meet the needs of any electric motorbike user, whatever their style.

The world is increasingly turning towards a sustainable, environmentally friendly and electric future. And the two-wheeled sector is no exception. GIVI has joined this new mobility trend that believes in a responsible lifestyle, offering storage solutions for all types of scooters and electric motorbikes, to make life easier for all riders who choose to reduce their emissions, whatever their means of travel.

GIVI, the transalpine firm of motorbike and motorcyclist equipment, is constantly working to offer solutions to two-wheeled users. In this case, they have focussed on those who choose to be environmentally friendly. Having listened to their specific needs, it has put together a complete range of modern accessories that transform and enhance electric mobility through the relentless pursuit of aesthetics, performance and innovation.

Electrifying urban style
The area where electric mobility has made the biggest inroads is the urban environment. More and more people are opting for electric scooters to get around town. For this reason, GIVI has made a selection of products to equip the main models on the market.

To add load capacity to electric scooters, GIVI has a multitude of top cases. Of these, the B32 BOLD stands out – a top case with a 32-litre capacity, equivalent to a modular helmet, which features a MONOLOCK® system and universal attachment system, which allows it to be mounted on almost any motorbike.

The transalpine firm also has a wide range of different helmets to suit the most urban tastes. One of this year’s new products, the X.25, is perfectly suited to the needs of everyday city riders. It’s a jet helmet with premium features such as the smoked inner visor and its ventilation system. An electric adventure
For all enduro enthusiasts with an electric motorbike, GIVI has a series of accessories in its catalogue to meet their needs. Such as the GRT719 backpack, with a 3-litre capacity and integrated hydration bag. This bag is specially designed for offroad use. There it boasts details such as a perfect adherence to the rider’s body, a chest strap with integrated whistle and a quick release strap to facilitate the removal of the backpack from the shoulders.

The transalpine firm also has a helmet specifically designed for these styles, the 60.1. It’s made with the latest technology, the best materials and has meets the new European homologation ECE 22R06 standards. Its interior is made of hypoallergenic, removable and washable fabric. What’s more, it has an adjustable visor, a “Double D” strap closure, which provides greater safety, and front and upper air intakes and in the chin guard, together with a rear extractor.

Electrify your route
Motorbike touring enthusiasts who have embraced electric mobility can count on GIVI to offer a wide range of products to meet their specific needs. Like its new top case, the Riviera E46, made of thermoformed plastic using a system of embossed moulds, which makes it more rigid, without renouncing the clean, rounded lines that favour aerodynamics. In addition, it has a high level of waterproofing that has been assessed in numerous tests.

For all touring users GIVI has a wide range of modular helmets, including one of this year’s new models: the X.21. It incorporates aventilation system consisting of 2 air intakes and a rear extractor, as well as a micrometric strap, lift-up chin guard, windshield, removable nose guard and removable and washable interior. In terms of safety, it has been certified with a double P/J homologation in accordance with the ECE 22R06 standard.

Speed makes no noise
GIVI has always paid attention to the needs of the most sporty motorcyclists in order to satisfy them through the constant search for aesthetics, high performance and innovation in their accessories. An example of this is their top of the range helmet, the 50.9, which is approved according to the ECE 22-06 standard, the most recent and the most demanding to date. Correct air circulation is guaranteed thanks to its three front air intakes and two rear extractors. What’s more, the interior is completely removable and washable and is made of hypoallergenic fabric.

To meet the needs of load capacity without having to add anything to the electric sports bike, GIVI has a large selection of reinforced soft bags to suit all tastes. Without a doubt, the one with sportiest style is the ST606, a backpack with a thermoformed lid and capacity of 22 litres. It’s specifically designed to be used on sports bikes, offering perfect stability even at high speeds. It doesn’t end there: it’s made with side zips covered with reflective materials to deflect air and prevent it from opening unexpectedly.

Café racer style and electric innovation
For motorbike enthusiasts with a unique and timeless style, GIVI accessories are also suitable for electric models. This is the case with the 10.7, a demi-jet helmet with a compact size that allows it to be stowed in the small spaces under the saddle. It also has has a lightness – it weighs less than one kilogram – which makes it stand out. Its standard features include a strap with micrometric closure, removable interior and pads and a ventilation system with rear extractor, something unusual in this type of helmet and a feature which sets it apart from the competition.

A practical and different option to increase the load capacity on a classic motorbike is a tank bag. In the GIVI catalogue you can find a model specifically designed for these motorbikes, the CRM103, which is fixed by 4 removable magnets that attach to the tank, together with 4 additional straps.

Alpinestars Reveals The All-New Supertech R10 Road Racing Helmet Launch Edition

Alpinestars is pleased to present the all-new Supertech R10 Road Racing Helmet Launch Edition. The result of over 10 years of intensive study, development, and testing, the goal of the Supertech family of helmets is to create the most advanced, protective, and performance-enhancing helmets possible for racers and riders worldwide.

After years of research, development, and testing of the S-R10 with Alpinestars’ Helmet Product Development Department and alongside MotoGP LEGEND Andrea Dovizioso and MotoGP riders Jorge Martin, and Jack Miller, Alpinestars is launching an exclusive numbered series of S-R10 Launch Edition Road Racing Helmets.  With the S-R10, the focus of the design was to ensure the highest level of performance, especially when it comes to protection and providing a new level of safety.  The S-R10 Helmet has been engineered to provide the perfect blend of excellent ventilation, unsurpassed comfort, and the lightest weight possible, without compromising on any other front.  Another crucial element unique to the S-R10’s design and development is the helmet’s advanced aerodynamics, with countless sessions in the wind tunnel focused on reducing drag and providing optimal aerodynamic stability.

The S-R10 Helmet Launch Edition comes in dark candy red sublimated by vibrant red accents, and a carbon glossy colorway, where dark candy red ink has been incorporated in the clear coating and manually sprayed on the carbon helmet to create a unique grading effect. The Alpinestars’ branding on the helmet is subtle, providing intense contrasting energy to the helmet, where a glossy layer has been applied to give it a unique shiny look. The internal helmet lining is handcrafted in Italy.

The S-R10 Helmet Launch Edition in the Red Carbon Glossy colorway will be available for purchase on alpinestars.com starting at 6 pm CET / 9 am PST on July 10th, with a limited numbered series of 200 units. Accessories provided with the S-R10 Helmet Launch Edition include two separate race and standard spoilers, clear and dark smoke visors, tear-offs set, Pinlock lens, the chin curtain, wind, and breath deflectors, and all can be stored comfortably in the paddock helmet bag provided.

“I could not be more pleased with the new S-R10 helmet. From the get-go, I have been very, very comfortable with the helmet. The amount of visibility is unrivalled and the aerodynamics of the S-R10 helmet combined with the leather suit are amazing in terms of speed and comfortability. It’s incredible how light the helmet is and truly amazing that with the carbon fiber, they’ve been able to reduce the weight without compromising safety.  It is a true honor to be able to wear the S-R10 helmet.” – JACK MILLER, MotoGP

“Starting with the new S-R10 helmet this season with Alpinestars, has been an amazing journey. Working on the development of the S-R10 together with Alpinestars, we’ve done a great job, an amazing job – the helmet feels great, it’s super comfortable, and it fits my head perfectly. I feel like it’s the best comfort I’ve ever had in a helmet in my entire career. Ventilation is also great especially in the hot races, when it’s extremely hot, I feel great. The helmet is also very lightweight. I don’t get tired while using it, and when I’m doing long distances in the races, I feel super good. In addition, the field of vision is great which is important when going 360 km/h into the corner where I can see well, and I feel especially good.” Jorge Martin, MotoGP

“Alpinestars’ new S-R10 MotoGP-derived helmet is very aerodynamic, and at high speeds it feels ultra-lightweight and stable; and that is reassuring.  The field of vision is incredible. The view the S-R10 offers feels super ‘widescreen’ and you can see a huge amount in all directions. That is a massive positive and is probably its most important feature.  The S-R10 has an advanced design and I think it is a really good helmet to wear. Not only is it very comfortable, but it’s also super ventilated.” Andrea Dovizioso, MotoGP

SUPERTECH R10 HELMET TECHNICAL FEATURES

OUTER SHELL
CARBON SHELL CONSTRUCTION MULTI-LAYER COMPOSITE DISPERSES ENERGY IN IMPACTS
Homologated to ECE 22.06, DOT, and FIM standards, the Supertech R10’s shell construction utilizes a highly advanced molding technology with a multi-composite combination featuring a 3K high-density carbon outer layer, a uni-directional carbon composite layer, an aramid fiber layer, and a fiberglass layer.

The 3K high-density carbon outer layer provides excellent strength and efficiency of energy dissipation over the shell. The uni-directional (UD) carbon composite layer provides significantly greater radial strength around the shell, preventing compression, but allowing controlled deflection for reducing transmitted impact energy, while the aramid fiber plus fiberglass layers provide critical penetration protection.

This layered composite combination created by bonding everything together with an advanced epoxy resin already applied on the pre-preg fiber, perfectly controls the ideal proportion of resin versus fiber to maximize strength, mechanical performance, and lightweight. The combination of material layers provides improved energy management, as well as limited outer shell deflection, making the energy spread wider and better absorbed by the EPS liner.

The S-R10’s unique shell construction results in extremely effective impact protection. With a fully equipped in-house helmet testing facility within Alpinestars’ state-of-the-art Research and Development center, the company has carried out an exhaustive impact research program, where research and development efforts have shown the S-R10 helmet returning linear and oblique impact performance results which far exceed current ECE 22.06 helmet regulation standard limits. For direct linear impacts, which are impacts at a 90-degree angle between the helmet and an object, the S-R10 surpasses the standard by an average magnitude of 37%. And for rotational acceleration and oblique impact performance, where impact energy comes from an angle other than a linear 90-degree, or right-angle straight impact, the S-R10 exceeds the standard by 65%.

INNER SHELL
THE S-R10’S INNER SHELL IS MADE FROM EPS IN DIFFERENT DENSITIES
The S-R10 Helmet has four inner shells just like the outer shell, and is available in four anatomical sizes. The S-R10’s construction is optimized to ensure riders have the correct fit, which not only improves comfort and reduces overall weight but most importantly, improves the effectiveness of the helmet in an impact. Underneath the helmet’s outer shell is an eight-piece multi-density EPS liner, with six specific densities that are strategically positioned in different zones to ensure excellent energy absorption from impact forces dissipated over the outer shell, as well as a close and comfortable fit. The EPS liner, just like the outer shell, has its own unique dimension for each helmet size, further tailoring the helmet’s performance and fit when it comes to protection and comfort.

LINEAR AND OBLIQUE FORCE MANAGEMENT
The EPS inner surface is smooth, creating an optimized, low-friction area, for superior oblique impact management. When it comes to other types of helmet testing, the best helmets are those that provide protection against rotational, as well as oblique and linear impact forces.

To help fight and mitigate those rotational, oblique, and linear impact forces, Alpinestars has designed a low-friction surface on the inner surface of the EPS liner. The inner surface is polished to be incredibly smooth, and then specially coated to reduce friction even further, allowing the comfort liner to move against the EPS. The result is increased rotational and oblique and linear force management, allowing the rider’s head to move independently inside of the helmet, or vice-versa, which can significantly reduce the amount of force transmitted to the head, neck, brain, and spine from an oblique impact, while simultaneously reducing the possibility of a concussion. To recap, specific rotational impact protection is provided by the combination of the internal shape and the specific coating of the EPS liner, coupled with the specially developed surface in the comfort liner. This patented technology reduces rotational acceleration transmitted to the rider’s head.

A-HEAD FITMENT SYSTEM
Adding to the personalization and custom, tailor-made fit of the S-R10, is the helmet’s unique and patented A-Head Fitment System. The A-Head System allows the helmet to be tuned exactly to the rider’s preference by having the ability to adjust both the height and angle at which the helmet sits on the head. The EPS is fitted with the A-Head Fitment System that allows for an ultra-specific setup that can be adapted to how deep the rider’s head sits in the helmet, as well as how far forward or backward the helmet is tilted.

AERODYNAMICS
DEVELOPED WITH CFD SIMULATIONS, VALIDATED IN THE WIND TUNNEL AND ON TRACK, THE S-R10 HELMET IS OPTIMIZED FOR LOW DRAG PERFORMANCE AND MAXIMUM AERODYNAMIC STABILITY
The S-R10 has been developed in the full-scale wind tunnel since the beginning of its development.  Aerodynamic targets for the coefficient of drag in different head positions, as well as stability at different angles were a primary goal in the helmet shape development, first extensively developed with Computational Fluid Dynamics, then validated in the full-scale wind tunnel, and finally on track.  The result is a helmet that achieves the lowest level of drag, and the highest level of aerodynamic stability at high speed compared to any other race helmet that we have tested in the wind gallery.  This has made the S-R10 already the helmet of choice by factory MotoGP teams for its top aero performance. Road riders will likely benefit from this too, with reduced strain on their necks at high speed and low levels of wind noise.

The S-R10 Helmet comes with two separate aerodynamic spoilers – a standard, and longer race version – and they’re both fitted with an Alpinestars patented release system, with elastic joints that help the spoiler detach from the helmet shell if it is subjected to a significant impact, no matter the angle, to reduce potential rotational energy.

The helmet also comes with lateral winglets to further support the S-R10’s stability and improve aerodynamic drag. In addition, the helmet visor has turbulators to improve aero-acoustic performance. As a result, compared to the aerodynamic performance of the helmet fitted with the standard road spoiler, the S-R10 itself is already the top-performing, aerodynamic helmet we have tested, and with the configuration of the race spoiler and the aero winglets together, we have achieved a reduction in drag by an additional 4.54%.

VENTILATION
THE SUPERTECH R10 HELMET CONTAINS ELEVEN VENTILATION POINTS
When it comes to ventilation and breathability, there are 11 ventilation ports, not including the eyeport, with 7 intakes including 3 in the chinguard and 4 on the top of the helmet, plus 4 exhausts, with 2 lateral ports on the chin bar, and 2 on the top rear of the helmet. These ventilation ports integrate directly with the helmet’s shell with a series of air ducts through the inner EPS liner. With the S-R10, airflow comes in through the ports, as well as actively circulates over and around the rider’s head through a series of channels, and then gets extracted out the back of the helmet.

The top vent features a large central slider that channels air down to the top of the head for better comfort, which when open, has vents for hot air extraction from the rider’s forehead. Under the rear spoiler, there are two extractor vents for effective hot air exhausting. The chin vents are formed by two openings located at the front of the helmet at the sides of the shield lock mechanism, where each flap has a tab in the corner, which is used to open or close the vent. Air entering from this point is channeled towards the inner side of the shields, creating a laminated flow of air that effectively prevents fogging and misting. In addition, the chin bar vents are used to extract humid air to the outside of the helmet.

SHIELD FEATURES
THE SHIELD MECHANISM IS FITTED WITH METAL LOCK COMPONENTS TO PREVENT UNWANTED SHIELD DETACHMENT DURING IMPACTS, LOCKED IN THE CLOSED POSITION BY A FRONT METAL LOCK
The visor has two unique features including a metal locking mechanism lever to prevent unwanted shield detachment during impacts and/or crashes, plus a lowered side line for a maximized field of view, coming on top of an already outstanding wide eyeport providing 220-degrees of lateral and 57-degrees of vertical visibility for great riding comfort. The shield attaches to the shell via side cams mechanisms, allowing the shield to rotate and to move, in order to seal it completely against the helmet’s rubber window trim.

Additionally, the visor itself can be easily changed or removed thanks to its secure and tool-less quick-release system. The S-R10 is fitted with an Optical Class 1 shield, 3mm in thickness, and coated with an anti-scratch and anti-fog treatment. The shield is equipped with internal pins to accommodate a PINLOCK 120XLT – 100 % MAX VISION lens and external pins to accommodate tear-offs.

REMOVABLE LINING
LININGS ARE REMOVABLE AND WASHABLE, AND FEATURE FABRICS WITH ANTI-MICROBIAL TREATMENTS
Crown Pad: The crown pad and the neck pad are elastically connected, for enhanced oblique impact management, with a construction based on four panels (front, sides, rear), for an optimized fit with the proper foam thickness.
Top Pad: The top pad is removable and height adjustable via the A-Head Fitment System.
Cheek Pads: The cheek pads are fitted with premium foam and fabrics, offering comfort and breathability. The cheek pads also feature an emergency extraction system, allowing the side cheek padding to be easily removed by trackside support and medical staff, and they also have a channel for the installation of a hydration system.

CHIN BAR PROFILE
Another outer shell design protection feature is the chin bar’s profile, where the base area has been specifically sculpted to give a relief section. The bottom profile is raised to clear the collarbone, and instead of the hard carbon shell coming into potential contact with the collarbone, the S-R10 has a softer EPP (expanded Polypropilene) liner which extends beyond the helmet shell itself, and is covered by a more flexible rubber compound. This chin bar design provides a reduced chance of any sort of collarbone injury, one of the more common injuries in motorcycling.WEIGHT
And finally, when it comes to weight, the ECE / DOT / FIM certified Supertech R10 helmet tips the scales at an impressive 1,540 grams for a size medium, or 3.4 pounds, providing the S-R10 with an extremely high performance to protection to weight ratio.
