Beat London’s Expanding ULEZ Charge Zone By Switching to Super Soco

As London’s Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) expands on 25 October, thousands of city commuters could be hit with a daily charge of £12.50 if their car or motorcycle does not meet the required standards. One of the best ways to avoid the fee – and save additional money in the long term – is to switch to commuting on a Super Soco electric motorcycle.
As the UK’s best-selling electric motorcycle brand, Super Soco specialises in zero-emission transport that delivers affordable and convenient urban commuting. With potential savings in excess of £3,000 per year, there has never been a better time for city dwellers to make the switch from a fuel-powered vehicle.
From 25 October 2021, London’s ULEZ is expanding from central London to create a single, larger zone up to the inner boundaries of the North and South Circular roads. Anyone travelling in a vehicle that does not meet the required standards for emissions will have to pay £12.50 per day to do so – and unlike the existing Congestion Charge, this includes motorcyclists.
For people working in London and still wishing to commute in a non-compliant car or motorcycle, this could mean paying up to £3,262.50 more per year*, which is a staggering amount on top of other costs including the Congestion Charge, tax, fuel and parking. In contrast, a one-off outlay of just £2,249 could buy a brand-new Super Soco CUx scooter, which is exempt from all charges and road tax, is free to park and costs just 1p per mile to run**.
More and more people are making the switch to electric two-wheelers as they realise not only the lifestyle and financial benefits they offer, but just how accessible they are. All Super Soco models can be ridden upon successful completion of a one-day Compulsory Basic Training course (CBT), and thanks to the lack of gears, the bikes are incredibly simple to operate and ride.
With five 100% electric models in the Super Soco line-up, ranging from the entry-level 50cc-equivalent twist and go CUx scooter and TSx motorcycle to the 125cc-equivalent CPx maxi scooter and TC and TC Max motorcycles, there’s something for every urban commuter’s needs. Each model features easily removable batteries that can be charged from a domestic three-pin plug within 3-4 hours.
Prices range from £2,249 to £4,699 inclusive of 20% discount via the UK Government’s Office for Zero Emission Vehicles Funding (OZEF) grant. For more information on Super Soco or to find your nearest dealer, visit www.supersoco.co.uk
*based on an average working year of 261 days
**Electricity currently costs approximately £0.12 to £0.18 per kWh, so based on charge time the Super Soco CPx costs less than 1p per mile to run.

Triumph Tiger 900GT Pro Review

Maja Kenney of Maja’s Motorcycle Adventures spends a week with the Triumph Tiger 900GT Pro which includes a two day tour of the Lakes, with many thanks to Triumph Motorcycles UK

The Tiger was dropped off at my house and I took my time walking around it before wheeling it into the garage. It was delivered a day earlier than expected so it had to wait for its first ride until the next day. I circled the bike, looking at all of the details. It was almost a stand off to see if we like each other.

I was pleased to note the colour was red. Having checked it out online I decided that red was the best looking one and now it was in my garage, albeit for a week only. In fact, not just the colour, I quite like the way it looks. Not too big and shouty, it doesn’t look like a bully as some adventure bikes do, and it didn’t fill me with fear that it’ll kick me off when I start to ride it.

I was worried it might be too tall for me but even with the seat at its normal position, I could reach the ground comfortably. Despite this, I have moved the seat to its lower position and that means that at 5”4’, I can almost put both feet flat on the (even) ground. Given my preference for B roads and goat tracks it is safer to have more leg length and be able to stop even where the ground isn’t smooth tarmac.

Top marks for its super smooth gearbox and quickshifter. One of the best I’ve ridden so far. The brakes are sharp, too! And the cruise control is easy to work out but do watch out when you touch the brakes. It slows down rapidly and I got a bit of a shock the first time. I didn’t expect it to slow down quite as fast and ended up with my face a bit too close to the screen for comfort.

Speaking of comfort, this is a good time to mention the heated grips which are excellent and, not forgetting the heated seat. The heated seat has separate controls for the pillion on the side of the pillion seat, and for the rider, on the handlebars. I can’t say there was any benefit to having the seat heated at 15 degrees Celsius and I would like to be able to test this in colder weather before I can decide if it is a worthwhile option. The heated grips, on the other hand, are an absolute must for me. The temperature varied from 10 to 15, occasionally 17 degrees Celsius when the sun was out, but the wind chill was persistent. I was still riding in my summer gloves and the grips were on the whole time. I much prefer this option for as long as I can, before I put on my winter gloves for the season.

One issue I didn’t quite crack is the position of the indicator switch just above a very similar switch that is the OK button for confirming the menu choices. They are close together and feel very similar with gloves on. A couple of times I wasn’t actually indicating but merely pushing the OK button left or right which upset a couple of road users behind me. Speaking to other Tiger owners they mentioned the same and said that once they have gotten used to it, it wasn’t a problem anymore.

I do have a preference for something a bit sportier looking and riding a sports tourer myself, I didn’t really appreciate why one would go for an adventure style bike. After riding the Tiger for a week, and taking it on a real tour for a few days, I now understand. I had to get used to how certain speed feels on this bike which meant I was going faster than intended for a while. With so much wind protection I felt I was going slower where I was actually much faster than anticipated. Oops.

The seating position is so relaxed and comfortable that even after a few days of constant riding I never felt tired quite as much as I normally do. It almost felt wrong. Like a workout when you didn’t try hard enough and you have no muscle ache afterwards. But this was also really, really good. I didn’t need a zimmer frame to get out of bed in the morning or do any elaborate yoga stretches just to feel my toes again.

The surprising bit was the cornering. The Tiger just leans in and carries you around that corner without you having to do much. No fighting with the bike and no convincing it that you really want to go around that bend safely. The Tiger is agile, light and so very smooth.

Then there was the riding on my favourite roads. The less known, little B roads that are inevitably littered with gravel, potholes and livestock. Despite the rugged road surface, the bike shaking was minimal, the suspension doing a fantastic job and I didn’t even need to stand on the footpegs for comfort although I did try it anyway just because I could.

I really appreciated the higher sitting position for the views. Being able to see over the stone walls and into the valley opened up the view and allowed me to take in the sights I would have otherwise missed. It also means you spot the oncoming traffic much sooner and can position the bike accordingly.

The trip away was for two nights only and my luggage was minimal therefore I had no need for the panniers or the topbox. Everything was packed into a rollbag that was attached to the pillion seat. I had to practice a couple of times on how to mount and dismount the bike in the most elegant way but I cracked it and never once kicked the rollbag when dismounting.

Overall I was surprisingly impressed with everything about the bike, how easy and smooth it is to ride and how well we got on. I am not ready to trade in my sports tourer yet but I am leaning towards maybe having a proper adventure bike as a winter one in my garage.

Ducati Scrambler reveals the new models for 2022 to its fans

Ducati Scrambler was the protagonist of the second episode of the Ducati World Première 2022, which saw two new models – Ducati Scrambler 1100 Tribute PRO and Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard, that enrich the “Land of Joy” range for 2022 – presented to enthusiasts from all over the world.

Ducati Scrambler 1100 Tribute PRO

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 Tribute PRO has been created to pay homage to the history of the air-cooled twin-cylinder engine, fifty years after it was first introduced on a Ducati, which was in 1971.

Created by Ducati Scrambler with modern-classic bike lovers and motorcycle history enthusiasts in mind, the Ducati Scrambler 1100 Tribute PRO pays tribute to the history and achievements of the Borgo Panigale motorcycle company. For this bike, the Centro Stile Ducati was inspired by iconic Ducati elements of the 1970s, such as the special “Giallo Ocra” livery, the Ducati logo of the time designed by Giugiaro and the spoked wheels, which are black and integrate perfectly with the tones of the celebratory livery. Further distinctive stylistic details are represented by the circular rear-view mirrors and the brown seat with dedicated stitching.

Ducati Scrambler 1100 Tribute PRO

From a technical point of view, the bike has the characteristics of the Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO family. It has an iconic and at the same time original design, an agile chassis and a 1,079 cc engine that delivers 86 hp of power at 7,500 rpm and a torque value of 9.2 kgm at 4,750 rpm, characterized by generous torque right from low revs.

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 Tribute PRO comes standard with three Riding Modes, each associated with different Power Modes and various levels of Ducati Traction Control (DTC). Furthermore, thanks to the front headlight with LED light guide, the bike is always visible and recognizable even during the day.

Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard

Another new model for 2022 is the Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard: a motorcycle created to experience the city environment by making itself noticed through a combination of style, sportiness and fun.

The name chosen for this latest version immediately evokes the characteristic atmosphere of large cities and is aimed at all those who live the city with energy and enthusiasm. The Centro Stile Ducati has interpreted these concepts through the proposal of a new livery that combines in an unprecedented way colours Star White Silk and Ducati GP ’19 Red in energetic graphics, inspired by the world of street art and metropolitan graffiti.

Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard

The Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard is powered by the 803 cc L-twin engine with desmodromic distribution, which delivers 73 hp of power at 8,250 rpm and 6.7 kgm of torque at 5,750 rpm, offering brilliant performance that never becomes intimidating for the rider, guaranteeing great agility in city traffic and fun on itineraries full of curves.

The reference to the Motard world  of this version is clear in the choice of elements such as the 17” spoked wheels, the high front mudguard, the flat seat and the side number plates, which are perfectly integrated into the Ducati Scrambler design.

Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard

The Urban Motard is also equipped as standard with a headlight with LED DRL, a hallmark of all Ducati Scrambler models, which is combined with the rear light with full LED diffusion technology.

Confirming Ducati’s attention and commitment to active safety for its enthusiasts, the Borgo Panigale motorbike manufacturer has chosen to equip all Ducati and Scrambler Ducati models with Cornering ABS, which guarantees high levels of safety even when braking with the bike at an angle.

The models are also designed for the Ducati Multimedia System (DMS), which enables a smartphone to be connected to the bike via Bluetooth, while the USB socket positioned under the seat is standard.

The new Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard joins the “Land of Joy” 800 range, alongside the Ducati Scrambler Icon, Ducati Scrambler Icon Dark, Ducati Scrambler Nightshift and Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled models. The Ducati Scrambler 1100 Tribute PRO is part of the range of best performing bikes in the Ducati Scrambler family, together with the Ducati Scrambler 1100 Dark PRO and Ducati Scrambler 1100 Sport PRO models.

Ducati Scrambler 1100 Tribute PRO

Both new models of the Ducati Scrambler range will be available at dealerships in the Ducati network from November 2021. All Ducati Scrambler models are also available in a 35-kW version for A2 license holders.

To give fans of the “Land of Joy”, the universe that truly represents self-expression in Ducati, an opportunity to express their attitude to customization in the best way, Ducati Scrambler offers a wide choice in terms of clothing and accessories. The clothing line includes helmets, technical gear and lifestyle products (which can be purchased in dealerships or through the online shop), while the accessories collection includes a range of items, such as seats, tank panels and approved exhausts, all viewable through the online configurator.

The presentation videos of the new Ducati Scrambler models, 1100 Tribute PRO and Urban Motard , and all the original content produced in the “Land of Joy” can be viewed on the Ducati YouTube channel and in the dedicated “Scrambler Media Box” section (link here) on the scramblerducati.com website.

Ride Like Royalty with Wunderlich

BMW F900 riders can positively pamper their pillion – and themselves – with the new Wunderlich Queen Seat.

The luxury starts with an extra 40mm of width compared to the standard F900 R and XR pillion perch, distributing body weight over a larger surface area to help reduce pressure points.

Progressive two-layer inner foam construction – a soft upper layer and a firmer core – relieves pressure on the coccyx and optimizes weight distribution.

Ergonomic 3-D contouring encourages a natural positioning of the pelvis and legs, for a much improved sitting position for both rider and passenger.

Combined with the non-slip cover material and Alcantara tucks, the contouring also reduces sliding back and forth during braking and acceleration.

An airflow channel running along the centre of the rider’s section reduces overheating and the build-up of perspiration on warmer days. The seat cover is also perspiration-resistant.

Quality guaranteed, the Queen Seat is made in Germany. All cover joins are bonded and taped on modern PFAFF hot air welding machines for 100% tightness. The high-strength RoburC base shell is formed from Wunderlich’s own mould, for a perfect fit. Contrasting stitching and beading in key areas complements the F900 R and XR’s sporting looks.

Wunderlich’s ‘Queen’ Comfort Seat fits both the BMW F900 R and XR and retails at £459- including VAT.

It’s available from Wunderlich’s exclusive UK distributor www.nippynormans.com

Key features:

  • +40mm seat width for the pillion compared to standard seat
  • Ergonomic 3-D contour to support the natural pelvis and leg posture
  • Contouring for rider and pillion for better grip when braking
  • Progressive two-layer construction for coccyx relief and optimized weight distribution
  • Airflow channel reduces overheating
  • Sweat-resistant, non-slip cover material, combined with Alcantara tucks

Upgrading your aluminum side cases and top case, inside and out

GIVI turn aluminum suitcases into a 100% customisable item thanks to an extensive collection of accessories.

Most users of trail and touring bikes, and those who are passionate about two wheeled travel in general, know of the existence and great advantages of aluminum suitcases and top case. However, not everyone is aware of the number of articles that specialised brands, such as the GIVI, have devised and developed to complete what are the perfect storage solutions when it comes to long distance adventures. The brand provides extremely functional accessories with the ‘Made In Italy’ seal of quality.

Recently, the replica of the courtesy light for car boots was applied to motorcycle top cases thanks to GIVI and its E198 model. Now it is possible to immerse oneself in a world of accessories for the most popular ranges of suitcases. In their eagerness to make life on two wheels easier, GIVI and its R&D department are always devising useful solutions for the most demanding travellers, including products such as:

Interior lining: Aimed at completing the Trekker Outback range and select models in the new Trekker Alaska collection, these interior panels and luggage lids safeguard the integrity of the most delicate objects. Thanks to this accessory, friction and vibrations are eliminated.

Ergonomic handle: For owners of Outback and Dolomiti aluminum cases, GIVI have developed a universal ergonomic handle to add to these cases and facilitate their transport once they are undocked from the motorcycle. Another transport option for the side cases is the E143 carry handle.

Interior elastic net: To make the most of the available space inside the top case, this E168 accessory allows quick access to essential items such as a first aid kit, a puncture repair kit, a rain suit or even the new T521 folding backpack.

Internal bags: GIVI have provided a wide range of internal bags of different capacities for the riders who want easy organisation and transportation of the luggage they carry in their side cases or top case. These include comfortable bags with handles and different compartments more akin to a conventional travel bag, through to 100% waterproof bags made of PVC Tarpaulin 500D, welded at high frequency, seamless and with roll top closure.

Reflective stickers: They may be a final detail, but without a doubt this pair of stickers to place on the side cases or top case increases the safety and visibility of the motorcyclist on a trip.

Holder for bottles or gas can: The more adventurous riders know of the need to carry essential liquids for the motorcycle and for the rider themselves. GIVI have developed several stainless steel supports, to which to attach thermal water bottles and a small gasoline can to the suitcases.

Passenger backrest: One of the accessories most valued by passengers are these backrests, made of two pieces of polyurethane that reduce vibrations and allow the back to be supported in a comfortable way by the top case.

These, and many more GIVI items, provide a boost for motorcycle trips and make any journey on two wheels a more comfortable experience. For more information about this product or any other accessories for your motorcycle visit www.givi.co.uk or call 01327 706220.

Mental Health Motorbikes and IAM RoadSmart partner up

Building better mental health and Lego distractions

The UK’s largest independent road safety charity, IAM RoadSmart, has announced a new partnership with mental health charity Mental Health Motorbike (MH Motorbike), as part of a continuing mission to support and educate their members on looking after their mental health.

Both charities have committed to work together to train and educate their members, plus share expert advice and tips on protecting your mental health. IAM RoadSmart Members will also have the opportunity to take part in First Aid training to further help them support others.

With autumn weather conditions taking hold, Mental Health Motorbike have established a new mindfulness activity that is bringing their members together, that’s aimed at reducing stress and anxiety – whilst keeping them safe during winter months. This activity is building and sharing LEGO sets creating a level of friendly competition, whilst giving them a task to focus their minds on and something to achieve.

Paul Oxborough, Founder of Mental Health Motorbike, said: “More people than ever are finding themselves suffering poorer mental health during this time, factors like financial pressures and isolation, are contributing to this. Giving our members a chance to share their pre-loved LEGO sets has been very successful and we hope more people will join us over the colder months to build, share and donate. We’ve also been hugely lucky recently to receive a very generous donation from the LEGO team. The donation of multiple, brand new sets has significantly boosted our library and means we will be able to extend the service to many more members. You’d be surprised how things like this really focus the mind and provide some relief to those suffering.”

“We’re on a mission to share our resources that can support riders we meet whilst out on the road so whether it’s offering practical advice or meeting for a ride to have that company, we’re set to reach a wider community of riders to help them tackle any mental health issues. We have mapped out all the places’ riders can get support and we are growing our network every day. We’ll be attending events like Motorcycle Live later this year (4th-12th December) to spread our message and offering outreach services into the workplace to talk to staff and employees working within the motorbike industry.”

Amanda Smith, Head of Field Service Delivery at IAM RoadSmart, said: “After speaking to Paul about his motive behind why he started Mental Health Motorbike, his plans and ambitions for the future, and the service he offers to the motorbike community it was a pleasure for us to join forces. Providing our Members with an open forum where they can speak openly about their mental health with other likeminded people and creating an on and offline community where they share similar hobbies and interests can only be a positive for the sector. We already have Members that from across the country that are supporting Paul and his charity, and we look forward to hearing from many more. If IAM RoadSmart Members would like to donate Lego Technic sets for the lending library then they should get in contact with our team via email MemberQ@iam.org.uk.”

IAM RoadSmart and Mental Health Motorbike would like to thank LEGO who has kindly donated LEGO technics kits to the MHMotorbike community to support the initiative of building better mental health.

BMW Motorrad is all set for the 20th BMW Motorrad Days

They will be held on 2 and 3 of July 2022 in Berlin for the first time and directly following the Pure&Crafted Festival.

For almost two decades now, attending the BMW Motorrad Days has been a must for motorcycle fans from all over the world. Visitors from countries such as the USA, Japan or Australia, sports, touring and enduro riders, customizing freaks or motorsports enthusiasts will all find their personal highlight to feel great and have loads of fun at the BMW Motorrad Days.

Following a two-year break – caused by the Covid 19 pandemic – BMW Motorrad invites fans and friends of the brand to the BMW Motorrad Days again on 2 and 3 July 2022. This time the location will be in the Summer Garden of the Messe Berlin trade fair grounds. The event will immediately follow the Pure&Crafted Festival, which will take place on 1 July 2022 at the same location and for which BMW Motorrad is once again the initiator and title sponsor.

Currently, the fourth edition of the Berlin Pure&Crafted Festival held on 17 and 18 September 2021 has already impressively shown that the new location in the heart of City-West has what it takes not only to become the permanent new home for the Pure&Crafted Festival, but at the same time also offers perfect conditions for the BMW Motorrad Days.

Dr. Markus Schramm, Head of BMW Motorrad: “The new concept is based on establishing a long-term presence at the BMW’s Berlin plant location with the BMW Motorrad Days. We can make use of the synergies with the already well-known and proven Pure&Crafted Festival. However, they will continue to be two separate and independent events: BMW Motorrad is a partner and sponsor of the Pure&Crafted Festival, while we host the BMW Motorrad Days, the brand’s biggest customer event worldwide, ourselves.”

On the first weekend of July next year, Pure&Crafted will offer its magic, charm and special moments to visitors already on Friday. As a unique event, the festival will thrill everyone attending with a distinctive mix of live music, motorcycle culture and new heritage lifestyle before the BMW Motorrad Days take the reins on Saturday and Sunday.

Lasting two days, the gathering will once again be dedicated entirely to the international BMW Motorrad fan community and riding fun on two wheels. In addition to new products, spectacular stunts, motorsports celebrities, test rides and a great deal more, guests can particularly look forward to the now legendary party atmosphere of the BMW Motorrad Days, garnished with a dash of Bavarian lifestyle. Visitors to the BMW Motorrad Days 2022 in Berlin can look forward to a varied programme of activities that is broader than ever. The tastes of both young and old are catered for with fun and high spirits being guaranteed for everyone.

The stunt shows push the limits of driving physics and in the original Motodrom, the oldest Wall of Death in the world, the great tradition of wall-of-death riding will be revived. Customizing fans will get their money’s worth in the Heritage Area where they can inspect a whole series of custom bikes and the respective equipment”.

On top of that, the Berlin hinterland can be explored by motorbike both onroad and offroad on organised tours with local guides. Once again in 2022 there will also be a wide selection of current BMW Motorrad models available for test rides.

Designed by X.DESIGN, NEXX’s Design Team the new NEXX Helmets 2022 Collection comprises 73 models, of which 75% in Carbon or Multi-Composite Fiber.

One of the big announcements for 2022 is the new X-PRO CARBON Technology that provides an unmatched strength to weight ratio.

Engineered for the elite and the weight conscience motorcyclist this next generation technology uses aerospace knowledge together with 3K carbon to obtain a composite construction that makes the shell lighter, stronger, and even more comfortable.

Similar to a spider’s web, the new X-PRO carbon with 3K carbon fabric is 10% lighter than other carbon shells, offers greater stiffness and ultimate strength.

In the SPORT Segment comes the most awaited new models for next season: the all-new Sports Full Face X.R3R!!

Uncompromisingly sporty, with an impressive design and the ultimate technology transferred from modern motorsports. The new X.R3R is minded for the most demanding conditions and emotions on the racetrack. Considerable effort has been made to develop the aerodynamic efficiency of the X.R3R’s shell, visor, vents design and new racing spoiler concept – with ZERO dynamic weight at 160 km/h.  The X.R3R’s comprehensive soundproofing concept includes a double rubber sealing profile around the entire visor. Featuring a 225º horizontal field and an 85º vertical field, the X.R3R’s vision field is one of the largest on the market. The XR3R’s modular interior is a unique approach to comfort and stability at high speed, allowing individual adjustment of both the center padding and check pads for a perfect fit on most head shapes and sizes. With the X.R3R, a new era in terms of safety also arrives – with the new ECE 22-06 approval that provides new tests, performed at higher speeds and with more impact points as well as additional requirements for features such as strap rotation or visors.

A FIM homologated version is also available, prepared for competitions at the highest international level, MotoGP included.

In the ADVENTURE segment, comes also one of the main news for 2022: the new X.WRL range.

The new X.WRL (Wild Rally) is a helmet designed for Hard Enduro practice, extremely light and comfortable and with impressive ventilation. This new model has unique features that make it the ideal choice for those looking for a helmet for more technical and difficult terrain incursions and wearing off-road goggles – featuring an incredible weight of just 1250 grams!

X.WRL (Wild Rally)

The X.GARAGE line-up is also full of news for the coming season – remaining faithful to contemporary safety and comfort and the revivalist aesthetics and characteristic color shades of the 60s and 70s.

X.G20

The X.G20 offers a completely renewed aesthetic and is already approved according to the new ECE 22/06 standards, featuring the following evolutions: a new shell format, with improved appearance and greater safety, available in Carbon fiber or X-MATRIX2 multi-composite fiber and in two shell sizes; it also comes with it a new sun visor, which is longer and operated on the lens itself, and finally, a new lining system, completely removable, washable and more ergonomic – for greater comfort and ease of cleaning.

Another of the great news and innovations for 2022 is the brand new TRANSITIONS visor – A VISOR PREPARED FOR ALL TYPES OF CONDITIONS.

Transitions® smart light visors automatically adapt to the ideal hue in any light condition – staying clear at night and smoky when exposed to strong light – providing a safe and comfortable ride, at night or any time of day.

The TRANSITIONS visor will be available for the X.VILIJORD, X.WED2, XWRL, X.R3R, X.VILITUR and X.WST2.

X.VILIJORD

Finally, new colors and Graphics for X.VILITUR, X.VILIBY, SX.100, SX.100R and SX.60 ranges complete the many new models that promise to enlarge NEXX’s fans community.

“Today, NEXX has a diversified product portfolio that meets the growing demands of motorcyclists.

We have invested in a lot of technology, not only in robotics or automated solutions to increase our planning, production and storage capacity, but also in Research and Development, as is the example of the brand new X-PRO Carbon fiber technology that we presented last year with the X. WED2 VAAL and which this year will feature in several other top-of-the-range models.

X.VILIBY

The 2022 Collection was fueled by the freedom wishes for a post-pandemic world – after such severe lockdowns, during which we lived mostly around our house or workplace, or simply the “same space” converged for the 2 purposes. NEXX Helmets 2022 Collection has been designed so that Riders can seek their own adventure benefits to the full – either, looking for nature connection, adrenaline rush, self-development or well-being.

SX.100R

It was time to imagine a lighter LIFE, making the most of each moment” said Helder Loureiro NEXX’s Chief Executive Officer.

The brand new X.R3R will be available in stores from January 2022. The entire NEXX 2022 Collection is now available and can be consulted at www.nexx-helmets.com

Suzuki releases new colours for V-Strom 650 range

Suzuki has released new colour options for its ever-popular V-Strom 650 and V-Strom 650XT middleweight adventure machines.

The base model V-Strom 650 will continue to be available in the pearl brilliant white with its blue graphic on the beak, and for 2022 will be joined by a reversed option, which sees pearl vigour blue bodywork offset by white decals. A glass sparkle black scheme, with its black cast aluminium wheels, provides an understate all-black option, topped with a striking yellow beak graphic.

Suzuki’s trademark yellow – synonymous with its off-road racing heritage – will remain available on the V-Strom 650XT, with RM-Z-inspired blue and grey graphics on the beak and tank. The look is completed with gold spoked rims.

The same gold rims feature on a white variant of the XT, while a classy, new-for-2022 blue paint scheme and an all-black with blue and grey graphics get treated to blue rims.

Both versions of the V-Strom 650 use the proven 645cc V-twin engine, packed with character and a broad spread of power and get traction control, Suzuki’s easy start system and low RPM assist.

The XT swaps cast aluminium wheels for lightweight spoked alternatives, and adds hand guards and a lower cowling as standard.

Small & Light, All-New Electric Youth Bike Delivers an Approachable & Accessible Offering for Children Learning to Ride

Indian Motorcycle, America’s First Motorcycle Company, today added an electric youth bike to its lineup with the introduction of the all-new eFTR Mini. The eFTR Mini allows motorcyclists around the world to hand down their passion and love for riding to their children with a stylish but accessible model suited to young, entry-level riders.

Boasting the same championship styling as the FTR750 race bike, the newest addition to Indian Motorcycle’s lineup allows young riders to feel like a member of the iconic Indian Motorcycle Wrecking Crew that dominated flat track in the 1950’s and has won every championship since returning to the sport in 2017. The eFTR Mini features a high-quality and durable steel tube frame with two riding modes allowing children to start learning in a low mode and step up the performance as they grow in confidence.

“The eFTR Mini is the perfect choice for so many riders and loyal Indian Motorcycle customers looking to share their passion for riding with the children in their lives,” said Ross Clifford, Vice President of Parts, Garments, and Accessories at Indian Motorcycle. “With the eFTR Mini added to our lineup, we’re providing an accessible youth offering to accommodate aspiring two-wheel riders.”

The eFTR Mini’s 468 mm seat height accommodates riders from eight years in low mode, and 13 and over in high mode. The bike’s strong steel tube frame provides a solid foundation for beginning riders, while its rear brake offers premium stopping power.
