Today Yamaha introduces the radically styled new 2019 YZF-R3

R-series: Supersport without compromise
2018 marks the 20th anniversary of the YZF-R1, surely one of the most influential motorcycles ever to be launched by Yamaha. Designed without compromise, the original R1 brought race bike engine performance and new levels of handling agility to the road rider, and introduced a new era in supersport motorcycle design.

Yamaha’s R-series supersport line has grown to include four class-leading motorcycles that have been developed using the same no-compromise philosophy that has made the YZF-R1 such an enduring success.

For 2019 Yamaha will introduce the new YZF-R3 that features a radical YZR-M1 inspired look together with a range of new performance-enhancing technology and refined ergonomics. Together with the recent announcement of the new YZF-R125 – as well as the latest YZF-R6, YZF-R1 and YZF-R1M – the R-series range is the most comprehensive line up of premium supersport models.

R World is calling
Yamaha has a rich heritage of building the most sought after Supersport motorcycles designed to deliver the pinnacle of performance on and off the track. From the rider-friendly YZF-R3 to the competition-focused YZF-R1M, the Yamaha R-series model line-up provides options for riders of all skill levels to experience the pure exhilaration of R World.

New 2019 YZF-R3
Powered by a 321cc, twin-cylinder engine that delivers excellent power for navigating cross-town traffic, carving twisty roads, or participating in a track day, the new 2019 YZF-R3 is a user-friendly lightweight supersport featuring Yamaha’s race-inspired R-series styling. With its accessible seat height and ergonomic riding position, the new YZF-R3 is the perfect bike for first-time riders or experienced sport bike pilots who prefer a compact, nimble and agile machine.

Renowned engine and chassis
A reliable 321cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, in-line twin-cylinder, dual overhead cam (DOHC), 4-valve, fuel-injected engine is at the heart of the YZF-R3. Featuring the latest combustion technology together with lightweight forged aluminium pistons and all-aluminium DiASil cylinders with an offset design, the smooth-running and quick-revving YZF-R3 engine produces easy-to-manage power.

A lightweight high tensile steel tubular frame with a simple design incorporates the engine’s crankcase as a stressed structural member of the chassis, resulting in the perfect balance of rigidity and weight. The long asymmetrical swingarm design ensures the efficient transmission of engine power to the rear wheel and delivers excellent straight line stability, while the Monocross rear suspension system features a preload-adjustable KYB rear shock that gives stable damping and contributes to a mass centralisation of weight.

Combined with the all-new inverted front forks, an all-new triple clamp, 10-spoke cast aluminium wheels, a 298mm front brake disc with a floating twin-piston brake caliper, 32 degrees of handlebar steering range, a 780mm seat height and approximately 50/50 front-rear weight distribution, the YZF-R3 chassis delivers agile and responsive handling.

All-new Inverted front forks and R-series type aluminium handlebar crown
To help achieve the right balance of comfort and sport riding performance for both street and track, the 2019 YZF-R3 features all-new KYB 37mm inverted front forks. Featuring a larger surface area between the outer and inner tubes than on conventional forks, the inverted design significantly improves fork rigidity, giving a sporty front-end feel and precise levels of surface feedback – while maintaining high levels of riding comfort.

Coupled with an all-new triple clamp that incorporates an aluminium handlebar crown with R-series styling, the new front suspension assembly works to provide the rider with outstanding handling during cornering and braking. The new inverted forks also enhance the overall specification of the 2019 YZF-R3 so that it more closely matches the premium appearance of the larger R-series models, giving a heightened pride of ownership and true feeling of belonging to the R family.

New fuel tank design and lower handlebar position
The easy-to-ride character of the YZF-R3 is further enhanced for 2019 thanks to a new fuel tank and fuel tank cover design, along with a handlebar position that is 22mm lower. Fuel tank capacity remains at 14 litres, but the redesigned shape of the tank and cover (31.4mm wider above the knee area and 20mm lower at the fuel cap) helps to achieve a feeling of unity between the rider and machine.

From riding around town to being tucked in on a straight or banking over while apexing track corners, the ability to easily grip the YZF-R3 from multiple body positions allows the rider to take advantage of its full performance potential.

Aerodynamic new front fairing and screen design
The new YZF-R3 features a front fairing and screen design that pays homage to Yamaha’s flagship MotoGP ® race bike, the YZR-M1, with an aggressive look that also achieves outstanding aerodynamic performance.

Developed in conjunction with wind tunnel and track tests, the new fairing and screen combination reduces aerodynamic drag by seven percent, enabling a decrease in air turbulence around the rider’s helmet when in a tucked position, and giving an increase of up to 8 km/h in top speed. The YZR-M1 style central duct in the fairing also functions to direct airflow to the radiator, contributing to engine cooling performance.

Additional new features
New YZF-R1 inspired dual LED headlights and position lights add to the aggressive look of the redesigned front fairing, and a new LCD instrument panel displays essential information that is easy to read at a glance.

The lightweight 10-spoke wheels are shod with radial tyres, providing the YZF-R3 rider with the best possible grip in all riding conditions.

MT series 2019: Hack the Darkness

Can you resist the Dark Side of Japan?

It was just 5 years ago when Yamaha unveiled the original ground breaking MT-09 to the motorcycling world. With its high torque crossplane engine, naked body and agile handling, this bike introduced the European market to the Dark Side of Japan – a bold new design philosophy that drew its inspiration from the underground custom scene in Japan.

This innovative new Hyper Naked segment proved to be an instant success with riders who were looking to discover the essential spirit and fundamental enjoyment associated with two wheels. With their clear focus on linear torque, easy agility and high power to weight, Yamaha’s Hyper Naked motorcycles have brought a whole new look, energy and attitude to the streets of Europe.

Since the arrival of the first MT-09 the Hyper Naked range has grown rapidly to include a total of seven models from the flagship MT-10 SP through to the MT-125 – and each one of them has proved to be an outstanding success in its own category. In just 5 years, MT sales in Europe have exceeded 175,000 units, making this the most successful and popular range of Yamaha motorcycles – with the MT-09 and MT-07 consistently amongst the top selling models in their respective sales leagues.

New Ice Fluo colour option for 2019

Yamaha totally revolutionized the look of the Hyper Naked scene with the introduction of the radical Night Fluo colours. Bold and original, this audacious colour scheme reinforced the dynamic character of the MT range – and perfectly complemented the daring and outgoing personalities of many Hyper Naked riders.

For 2019 Yamaha takes the MT’s aggressive and streetwise image to the next level with an evolution of the Fluo concept. The forceful and uncompromising new Ice Fluo colour not only underlines the assertive character of Yamaha’s Hyper Naked bikes – it also creates an instantly recognisable look that strengthens the strong family feeling amongst MT owners. Consisting of a super cool new ice-grey body colour contrasted by fluorescent red wheels and a black engine, frame, forks and headlamp – with tuning fork logos on the tank or air ducts – the new Ice Fluo colour option is exclusive to the Yamaha MT range.

The new Ice Fluo colour option will be offered on each MT Hyper Naked model (except SP versions that feature exclusive colours), while the Yamaha Blue and Tech Black colour options will continue.

Yamaha Introduces All-new 2019 WR450F: The Bike for All Reasons

More power, increased agility and added versatility in the victorYZone
The all-new WR450F celebrates 20 years of Yamaha 4-stroke enduro production with a complete redesign that delivers stronger power with increased agility, as well as greater versatility and lighter handling. At the same time as being lighter, slimmer and faster, the all-new 2019 model maintains the characteristics that have made it one of the most popular 450cc enduro models around the world, namely rock-solid stability, legendary reliability and outstanding high-speed performance.

In the two decades since the first WR-F 4-stroke revolutionised the enduro scene it has established a reputation for its linear and tractable power, high build quality and rugged construction – and these are the key elements that have made the WR450F a firm favourite with fast trail riders and serious racers alike.

Since its original launch in 1998, the WR-F’s engine has grown from 400cc to 426cc, and the latest generation reverse cylinder head engine displaces a full 450cc. The new 2019 model has been further developed using advanced engine and chassis technology derived from the latest highly successful YZ450F platform – an apex predator motocross bike that blends mind bending power with absolute control.

WR450F: Built to win in any environment
Yamaha’s WR-F enduro bikes have been proving their race-winning potential all over the world in a wide variety of competitive off-road events. In the FIM Enduro World Championship, Outsiders Yamaha Official Enduro Team riders Jamie McCanney (E1) and Löic Larrieu (E2) have been challenging hard for the top place on the podium throughout the year – while Larrieu took a sensational outright victory in the 2017 ISDE against the world’s best riders. Riding WR-F enduro bikes, Manxman McCanney and Frenchman Larrieu have established Yamaha as a main contender in EWC and underlined the company’s total commitment to enduro.

In the 2018 Dakar Rally, Yamalube Yamaha Official Rally Team rider Adrien Van Beveren retained the overall lead on his WR450F Rally for five days until an unfortunate race-ending crash on stage 10. With one stage victory and three more stage runner-up results, Frenchman Van Beveren proved the winning capabilities of the WR450F in the toughest possible environment.

In addition to the legendary Dakar Rally, Yamalube Yamaha Official Rally Team riders have also had a full season competing in Cross Country Rallies all over the world, and the experience gained has contributed towards the development of the new WR450F.

Faster and stronger 450cc reverse-head engine
The all-new WR450F is equipped with a sophisticated reverse cylinder head engine featuring a rearward slanting cylinder that helps to ensure ideal mass centralisation. Developed from the MXGP-winning YZ450F motocross bike – and equipped with enduro-specific intake and exhaust systems, fuel injection and ignition advance maps – the new high torque 450cc, 4-valve engine produces a broad and linear spread of useable power.  With an excellent feeling of traction, the WR450F delivers harder-hitting performance for winning times on enduro special tests.

The stronger engine produces a wider band of pulling power and offers smoother throttle control for technical sections, and these enhanced characteristics – together with the lighter and slimmer feeling chassis – enabling the WR450F rider to maintain a faster pace throughout the day.

New smartphone tuning with the Power Tuner app
On board WiFi means that you can tune the new WR450F to suit different tracks and changing weather conditions using a smartphone in association with the Communication Control Unit that is available in the optional race kit*. The new Power Tuner app gives every WR450F rider the ability to make instant fueling and ignition timing changes and upload/share data for the ultimate in track-side tuning.

The free Yamaha Power Tuner app also allows owners to record race log information and monitor a range of data such as maintenance and system diagnosis, engine run time and more.
(* Race kit available separately)

Adjustable engine mode switch
A handlebar-mounted dual engine map switch has been adopted and positioned next to the clutch lever to enable changes in the engine power delivery characteristics mid-race. This switch allows the rider to select one of two engine maps on the fly at the press of a button to cater for changes in the riding environment. Together with the new engine’s wider spread of torque, this engine mode switch underlines the new WR450F’s versatility and adaptability, making it an ideal enduro bike for racers as well as leisure riders.

Sharper handling aluminium bilateral beam frame
Developed from the latest YZ450F, the all-new aluminium bilateral beam frame is slimmer and lighter, giving it a much lighter and more agile feel through twisty, rocky and technical terrain. The new frame design includes a revised head pipe position, straight tank rail, larger absorption zone and an enlarged rear arm bracket and these elements contribute to an improved agility, precision and traction.

Industry leading front and rear suspension
The WR450F runs a sophisticated suspension system that provides a stable damping force with plenty of surface feedback at low to mid speeds.

Featuring new internals with longer high-rate springs, the industry-leading KYB® air-oil-separate upside-down front forks provide stable damping characteristics over all types of terrain – while the flex-resistant outer tubes contribute to a secure feeling of ground contact. This front suspension system is widely acknowledged as being one of the best available on a production dirt bike, and responds particularly well during the transition between the compression and rebound strokes.

The rear shock absorber is also based on the YZ450F unit and, like the forks, features enduro model-specific settings. Its new 11.5mm diameter coil spring is 350 grams lighter and has a higher fatigue strength than the current model’s – and for cooler running and more stable damping force, the capacity of the shock’s reservoir has been increased by 30cc.

Larger 7.9 litre fuel tank
For increased riding time between fuel stops the 2019 WR450F is equipped with a newly designed large-capacity 7.9-litre plastic resin fuel tank featuring a compact fuel pump. The increased fuel capacity has been achieved by extending the fuel tank’s lower section towards the centre of the bike – a move that improves mass centralisation and ensures a slim and compact body design that enhances rider comfort and mobility.

Lighter, slimmer and sharper bodywork and headlight design
Current WR450F riders will appreciate how much this bike has changed for 2019 – and those who are new to Yamaha 4-stroke enduro will be impressed by its easy ergonomics. The new frame has enabled Yamaha’s designers to fit much slimmer bodywork that looks and feels more like a 250, making this one of the most compact 450 enduro bikes. Mass centralisation is also improved, and the overall impression of lightness and agility is reinforced by the new headlight cowl that sits lower and closer to the rider, giving a sharper race-bred look.

The WR450F is also equipped with new and more compact radiators that facilitate the fitment of narrower and closer-fitting radiator shrouds that contribute towards rider mobility and give added control during stand up riding. The new shrouds also feature wear resistant in-mould graphics that accentuate the athletic lines of the slim new body design.

More protective skidplate and new speed sensor
The new model gets a larger and lighter plastic resin skid plate that is designed to protect the frame, engine, hoses and water pump from deep ruts and flying debris – and its close-fitting frontal area prevents mud and stones from accumulating in any cavities around the crankcases and so reduces additional running weight.

For quicker and easier front wheel removal the new Yamaha enduro is equipped with a new type speed sensor.

Free flow air filter
For easy maintenance the WR450F gets an all-new airbox that enables tool-free filter changes. The new filter element gives reduced airflow resistance with increased reliability, and features rubber seals at the centre positioning pin for increased dust-filtering capability.

Lighter, tougher clutch & wide‐ratio 5‐speed transmission
In order to better handle harsh enduro conditions, the durable new clutch is equipped with a highly heat-resistant friction plate – and a new design that eliminates the judder spring is adopted to give a much lighter pull at the lever for better feel and improved controllability.

The new WR450F adopts a wide-ratio 5-speed transmission with modified internals that provides strong off-road performance in difficult and technical areas, as well as strong high-speed performance for flat dirt sections. Also, the shapes of the dog gears have been revised.

Lower and narrower seat
Whether you’re sitting down or standing up, the new seat’s slimmer design makes it easier to shift your body weight. As well as being 2cm narrower in the front section, the middle and rear sections of the seat are also lower, enabling you to move backwards or forwards more easily for a higher degree of control when cornering, accelerating or braking.

Be part of the Yamaha YZF-R1 Legend

Yamaha celebrates speed, passion and nostalgia of the 20th anniversary YZF-R1 with a limited edition of the Paddock Blue collection

Making a sensational debut in 1998, this year marks the 20th anniversary of the YZF-R1 production superbike. Taking inspiration from the original colours of the 1998 R1, Yamaha introduces a limited collection which pays a tribute to the timelessness of this supersport icon. Available from the end of July at Yamaha’s European Dealerships, R1 lovers can get kitted in unique red and white themed items, which include a hoodie, two different T-shirts and two styles of caps.

To further pay homage to this legendary product, the official and factory Yamaha teams will also race the upcoming prestigious Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Road Race sporting a special red-white livery and use this limited edition clothing as their team wear. As Yamaha seeks an unprecedented four consecutive wins as well as a second back-to-back EWC title, the slogan for this year’s Suzuka 8 Hours is “R1evolution: The “R” Evolution Sparking a Revolution”.

Yamaha Rock Wheels and Waves in Style

Yamaha put their best foot forwards at one of the coolest retro bike events. With six XSR700 Yard Built projects based on a Back to the Future theme, a host of sensational partners and much more; Yamaha’s biggest Wheels and Waves yet was a success.

Biarritz saw some serious weather over the Wheels and Waves weekend. Nevertheless, the event maintained its laid back atmosphere and went indoors, at the Halle d’Iraty. The races continued up in the hills and out in the mud while the rest of the festivities turned the Halle d’Iraty into the motorcycle equivalent of Valhalla. The Yamaha Tent was an integral part of the weekend with the Faster Sons store supplying the lifestyle merchandise. Mama Customs were in full effect painting some slick designs on helmets and official Yamaha Partners REV’IT and Nexx Helmets got into the swing of things too.

Yamaha Yard Built Goes Back to the Future
Yamaha didn’t stop there though, they took the Halle d’Iraty Back to the Future with six international projects bringing totally different flavours to the XSR700, tied together with a retro futuristic bow. The Yamaha XSR700 is well known for its flexibility and adaptive nature, making it a go to for the custom build world. The six Back to the Future builds prove once again how this Sports Heritage model can become something so unique in the hands of creative people.

All female Italian biker collective, Miss Biker, represented with Yamato, a custom built XSR700 they created using a classic Japanese toy boat for inspiration. The build was completed in collaboration with Rice Eater Garage and features an airbrushed red and white body, custom leather seat, Virex Craft exhaust and accessories from Motorcycle Storehouse, Free Spirits and Rizoma.

Ton Up Garage were there from Portugal with their bike, Outrun, sporting that 80s arcade aesthetic. For anyone who knows the game you’ll know why Ton Up Garage chose their inspiration; fast cars, bright colours and serious style. The bike features a handmade aluminium body that’s compatible with any XSR700. It has a Ton Up Garage original exhaust, there’s a handlebar for clip-ons with new ITR levers and Beringer controls and the build is completed by alloy wheels and slick racing tires.

Le French Atelier brought some beef with their retro take on the XSR700, The Bulll Noir. This Yard Built Project is the big brother of the garage’s Little Bull Noir, a custom-built Yamaha TT-R 110. It features a modified frame, shortened front fork, full LED lightning, LCD camera displays as mirrors and black plexi flasks on the rims.

Spain’s Russell Motorcycles looked to the 1989 Gauloises race team colours for their XSR700 build, Resilience. The vintage racing team inspired more than just the colours though and the whole machine is designed to honour the speed and style the team were known for. The bike sports a rugged iron tail and side panels, a completely modified gas tank, a handmade body and fresh racing tires and exhaust.

Yamaha Klein made their way from Germany to show off their XSR700, the Bantam Racer. Their build had a minty fresh Citroën Vert Argenté colour scheme and featured all new wheels, headlight, rear shock and clutch system. The Bantam Racer was topped off with a YZF-R1 front end that crowns that old meets new feeling.

The Netherland’s own Ironwood Motorcycles rounded out the group with their XSR700, The Chronos Joyride. An exceptionally cool mix of retro lines and contemporary touches. Their bike features aluminium bodywork, a fork brace with Motogadget Scope and a vintage Lamborghini “Aventador” paintjob.

Yamaha and Deus Ex Machina Team Up
The Deus Swank Rally was the perfect event to celebrate the offical, two year, global technical partnership between Yamaha and Deus Ex Machina. The rain only enhanced events as classic motorcycles and modern masterpieces got caught up in the mud in one of the most enjoyable events of the weekend. Alexandre Kowalski, Racing Manager for the Yamaha Official Rally and Enduro Teams, proudly rode the Yamaha Yard Built Deus Ex Machina XSR900 Swank Rally in an event that enclosed the genuine love for all that is motorcycle and the authentic mood this partnership is born under.

The Surf Contest waited until Saturday morning and proved a tough trial for all involved. At the end of it all though a winner was announced and they walked away with their own Yamaha branded longboard. Up in the hills, Yamaha Yard Built bikes battled it out with customs from around the globe in the Punk’s Peak sprint and El Rollo flat track races. Ton Up Garage took victory in the Punk’s Peak Yamaha XSR700 category on their custom bike, OutRun, and flat track maestro Marco Belli rode the El Rollo race on a Yamaha SR400. Shining bright at the Art Ride were Yamaha and Dab Motors as they unveiled their ultra-futuristic Yard Built project, Alter, based on the XSR900. Alter is a Yard Built project like no other, featuring aspects such as sustainable flax fibre body work, microcontroller operated LED lighting systems and was built using cutting edge additive manufacturing techniques.

Yamaha made their mark on Wheels and Waves once more. With new partnerships, fresh looks and cutting edge designs; this was an event to remember. Stay tuned for a whole lot of content yet to arrive from the Wheels and Waves weekend, including a full event video and in depth looks at the bikes as the weeks go on!

Yamaha and Dab Motors Take Yard Built to the Future

Yamaha Yard Built projects are always unique and this is truer than ever here. Biarritz based Dab Motors are delving into futuristic aesthetics and out of this world technology for their latest custom build.

Biarritz is famous for its laid-back approach to life, beautiful beaches and stunning scenery which have made it a prime location for holiday makers for decades. But Dab Motors, based in the Basque Coast city, has turned its back on relaxation and is throwing themselves and their Yamaha XSR900 head first into the future. With cutting edge design techniques and state of the art craftsmanship, they have produced something straight out of the next century: The ALTER.

Dab Motors felt an affinity with the XSR900 from the start with its mix of modern and retro design, and innovative lines. They knew the lightweight body, packed with character, and sporty engine would be more than a match for their futuristic concept. From the very moment that Dab Motors got their hands on the Sports Heritage machine, a powerhouse of customisation, they put their knowledge of technology into top gear. Using 3D modelling, and advanced rendering techniques, they designed a customised bike in an almost entirely digital world. With data built from modelling techniques and schematics created in a virtual work space, they set the robots to work on forging this mechanical marvel.

Putting to life their designs using advanced manufacturing machines, they produced high quality, ultra-durable, 3D printed aluminium sub chassis, upper triple tree, risers and headlight holders. The exhaust is a collaborative creation by Dab Motors and a trusted partner. There’s brand new handlebars, grips, brake reservoirs and mirrors. The bike features ultra-light, sustainable flax fibre body work fresh out of the lab. Even the lighting system is pushing the boundaries, with a smart LED array controlled by an Arduino micro controller board. All of this is wrapped around the finest quality brakes, suspensions from industry giant Öhlins (STX 46 shock absorber and NIX 30 cartridge kit) and other parts making this a high-performance message sent back in time from the 22nd Century.

“I think Yard Built is often seen as the place where we honour the past, and maybe rightly so,” said Antoine Clémot, Yamaha Motor Europe Motorcycle Product Manager. “Yamaha has such a rich past with iconic designs and techniques to draw from. But we also use it as a laboratory of sorts. There’s room to innovate, to play with minimalist aesthetics and new ideas. So, seeing a build like this is incredible. Dab Motors is embracing technology that is light years ahead of so many other builders and that’s thrilling to see and exciting to be a part of. The design is amazing, the bike really looks like something out of a science fiction film. But, the processes that went into making it, that’s what has blown me away.”

“In a world driven by technology, we don’t have to be stuck in the old days with old ways of working,” commented Simon Dabadie, founder of Dab Motors. “We should explore every possibility by using new technologies and be inspired by them. We want to stimulate people’s curiosity by using new kinds of materials, by being critical and by testing every idea that we have. It’s about not limiting yourself and opening your mind to potentially revolutionary ways of doing things. 3D design, virtual engineering, 3D simulation, rendering; these are all things we explore and things we have seen incredible results with. By looking to the future, we can focus on creating enhanced motorcycles. This will change how we create and customise a motorcycle. We now have unlimited means of creation that wouldn’t be possible with traditional processes.”

Yamaha at Wheels and Waves 2018
Biarritz is a world-renowned destination for those who enjoy a relaxed approach to life, but once a year things get loud. Wheels and Waves has been bringing the party to the south of France for six years now. From the Punk’s Peak and El Rollo races to the surf competition and everything in between, Wheels and Waves is one of the coolest events on the calendar for those who want to indulge their love for all things two wheeled and fast.

This is the fourth year that Yamaha have been a part of Wheels and Waves and it’s going to be the most extensive Yamaha experience yet. This year Yamaha is rocking a retro futuristic theme, so get ready to go Back to the Future. Leaning away from the traditionally retro focused Yard Built aesthetic, Yamaha wanted to add something new to the mix and include some futurism in the brief. This is futuristic design from an 80s perspective. With Yard Built projects being unveiled in the Wheels and Waves village, bikes entering the Punk’s Peak and Swank Rally races, the Faster Sons apparel store getting you deep into the Faster Sons universe and a host of official partners doing their thing; this is one for the history books.

With Yard Built projects coming in from all over Europe, this is probably the most diverse year ever for Yamaha at Wheels and Waves. With the Back to the Future theme tying together six very distinct Yard Built Projects, things are going to get interesting. Yamaha are using the laboratory that is Yard Built to show how different people from different places and different cultures can create such unique builds on a singular theme. Each of these retro futuristic masterpieces will be unveiled in the Wheels and Waves village and will find their way into the Punk’s Peak race.

For the Back to the Future crew it is XSR700s all the way, but that’s where the similarities end. The all-female, Italian biker collective, Miss Biker, are bringing the Yamato in collaboration with Rice Eaters Garage. The Netherland’s Ironwood Motorcycles are adding their unmistakable style to the selection with the Chronos Joyride. Yamaha Klein from Germany join the pack with the Bantam Racer. Spanish custom build superstars Russell Motorcycles represent with their bike, Resilience. France’s own Le French Atelier are showing off their style with the Bull Noir and rounding out the six is the Portuguese contingent, Ton-Up Garage with their appropriately named OutRun motorcycle.

These six bikes will be joined by a host of other custom builds representing everything that’s wild and wonderful about Yard Built. Whether that’s cruising to the beach on a custom SCR950 or showing its muscle with Workhorse Speedshop’s fast and low XSR700, there’s a bike here for every occasion. DAB Motors will also be joining and unveiling their ultra-futuristic creation, Alter, at the Wheels and Waves Art Ride. A truly cutting edge design and build that proves just how far a Yard Built Project can go.

Joining Yamaha at Wheels and Waves are a prime selection of Official Partners, there to add some spice to proceedings. Nexx Helmets will be supplying helmets to builders chosen from their cool Garage line up. REV’IT is bringing their Overshirt Tracer jackets for builders while Mama Custom offer their ample skills in helmet painting at the Yamaha tent.

Wheels and Waves isn’t just about the bikes though and with water in its DNA, Yamaha are stepping up to the Waves this years as well as the Wheels. Diving in as an official partner of the surf competition, Yamaha are putting up a 9ft Yamaha branded long board as prize for whoever takes the top spot as well as for the winner of Punk’s Peak. There’s also going to be at the Yamaha tent a Faster Sons apparel store, giving you the chance to further immerse yourself in the Faster Sons Universe. So, come and join us at the Yamaha tent and make sure your following along with #BackToTheFuture and on the Yamaha Motor Europe Instagram @yamahamotoreu

Racing is an integral part of the company’s DNA, and the will to win is at the very heart of the company’s operations.

Full line up from 65cc to 450cc
From young racers starting out on the YZ65 and then progressing onto the new MY19 YZ85 and YZ125, riders have the opportunity to stick with Yamaha right from the start of their professional racing careers – and with the company’s bLU cRU programme, more than 80 YZ125 riders from 17 European nations are benefitting from professional Yamaha support by participating in the YZ125 bLU cRU Cup.

When it’s time to move on up to the adult categories, machine continuity can be maintained with the YZ250, new MY19 YZ250F or YZ450F, giving aspiring champions the chance to experience Yamaha’s winning performance at every step of their career.

Yamaha YZ motocross bikes offer the very latest technology and performance features designed to make enthusiasts and professional racers alike the best riders possible, win races and become one with their machine – putting them in the victorYZone and atop the podium.

Featuring a newly designed high-performance electric start engine and an agile new chassis, this state of the art 250cc 4-stroke opens up a new era in wireless connectivity and trackside tuneability with its Yamaha Power Tuner smartphone app.

New YZ85
Yamaha’s total commitment to all sectors of the motocross market is reinforced with the launch of the all-new YZ85, the most advanced youth MX bike in its class. Powered by a liquid-cooled 2-stroke engine that features Yamaha’s torque boosting Yamaha Power Valve System (YPVS) technology – and equipped with newly developed suspension systems – this sharp looking race bike delivers more performance and more control for young riders.

Other models in the 2019 YZ Range
For 2019 the YZ450F receives a number of technical upgrades, while YZ250 and YZ125 models get all-new graphics. With the launch of the new YZ250F and YZ85 ¬- not forgetting the recently launched YZ65 – Yamaha offers the most complete range of winning models that give racers of all ages the opportunity to be a part of one of the most successful brands in the history of motocross.

2018 season so far
With factory supported racers in every major class, Yamaha’s 2018 season is looking strong, with Courtney Duncan dominating the WMX Championship and Yamaha leading the prestigious WMX Manufacturers Championship. In MX2, Kemea Yamaha Official MX2 team riders are challenging hard for the podium at every race on their factory YZ250F machine, and in MXGP Yamaha are holding a strong 2nd overall in the Manufacturers Championship, with Romain Febvre holding 3rd overall on his factory YZ450FM.

2019 Yamaha YZ250F
The 2019 YZ250F boasts an all-new engine design that features an electric starter, a new cylinder head, piston, cam shaft profile, cylinder geometry, larger diameter clutch and more – all working together to deliver top notch power, with even more mid-top power.

Its bilateral beam frame is completely revamped with an optimized engine mounting position to improve the machine’s rigidity balance, which benefits cornering ability, and traction. Redesigned bodywork and ergonomics provide a lighter and more compact feel that bind rider and machine as one. The class leading KYB® suspension with updated internals provides the optimal balance between comfort and race-winning performance.

Along with all the above, the all-new 2019 YZ250F also comes standard with a Communication Control Unit (CCU) allowing riders to connect wirelessly to their bike, and tune it according to their preferences – all they need is a phone and the Yamaha Power Tuner app.

New engine
For 2019, Yamaha has refined its distinct rearward-slanted cylinder design for the YZ250F engine. The liquid-cooled, DOHC 4-valve, fuel-injected engine features a forward-positioned straight downdraft intake with symmetrical intake and exhaust ports. Fuel is delivered by a lighter 44mm throttle body, through a new 12-hole Denso® injector.

A new, higher-compression flat-top forged piston features a bridge-box design for additional strength with minimal weight. The piston, rings and DLC-coated piston pin, along with the offset cylinder configuration, all reduce friction loss and contribute to quick response. The YZ250F’s lighter and more upright cylinder, newly designed intake ports, cam profiles, high-strength connecting rod and optimized crank and counterbalancer all work together to produce more potent mid-high-rpm power with user-friendly delivery and exceptional reliability.

The transmission and clutch have been overhauled for a more direct connection as well as enhanced durability. The transmission retains the same proven gear ratios as in the previous model, but the gears are now made of a new alloy which provides stronger shock resistance. Due to the increased strength, the gear teeth could be made thinner, reducing weight and allowing a more compact design. The clutch assembly in the YZ250F features friction plates which are now 1.6mm thicker. The increase in thickness has allowed our engineers to reduce the number of plates to by one to 8.

The radiators and exhaust have also been modified for improved performance and weight distribution. The updated radiators are larger and angled more directly towards the incoming air stream for improved cooling under the most demanding race conditions. The innovative wraparound exhaust pipe design improves mass concentration and improves power development, with revised geometry for 2019. This layout moves the rear end of the exhaust pipe farther forward and enables a muffler position close to the center of mass.

World’s first production 250cc class Power Tuner app
The 2019 YZ250F is the world’s first production 250cc motocross bike with a wireless smartphone-based engine tuner. Using Yamaha’s exclusive Power Tuner app, it’s easy to choose the exact power profile for optimum race results at every track.

By connecting wirelessly with the YZ250F’s inbuilt Communication Control Unit (CCU), riders and technicians can instantly and easily adjust air/fuel mixture and ignition timing maps to tune engine performance for various track conditions, record race log information, and monitor a range of data such as coolant temperature, intake air temperature, air pressure, battery stats and also maintenance related data such total run time and more.

The Yamaha Power Tuner App – first released with the 2018 YZ450F – makes it possible to modify engine mapping in even greater detail than before. It also allows users to share settings among their team or with friends (along with other information) thus evolving the system into a tool that helps facilitate communication.

Dual-mode switchable engine mapping
Two-mode adjustable engine mapping allows the rider to adjust engine character with the push of a button, making it easy to tune the YZ250F for changing track or weather conditions.

All-new lightweight electric start
Utilizing a compact starter motor and ultra-lightweight lithium-ion battery, the 2019 YZ250F brings the convenience of push-button starting for quick and effortless restarts under pressure and relaxed riding when the clock isn’t ticking. Powered by a high-capacity and ultra-lightweight lithium-ion battery, the system adds minimal weight.

New frame and optimized ergonomics
The 2019 YZ250F’s compact frame is completely new to further refine the instinctive handling that makes this Yamaha one of the best handling machines in the class. The all-new compact bilateral beam frame features redesigned upper frame bracing, rear frame spars, swingarm pivot area and all new engine mounts that centralize mass and increase rigidity on lateral, horizontal and vertical axis to provide an ideal balance between cornering feel and straight-line rigidity.

Simply, the new frame was designed to improve contact to the ground and provide the best possible balance of stiffness for bump absorption, and effortless cornering.

New compact body and seat design
Surrounding this fully redesigned chassis, the 2019 YZ250F features a new lighter, compact body from tip to tail.  The radiator shrouds incorporate a new air duct with a concave shape that not only improves styling, but is also narrower for better knee grip and overall rider movement.  The seat height has been reduced by 8mm towards the front and almost 20mm lower at the tail end, giving the rider better maneuverability on the bike.

Easily tuned KYB® coil spring suspension
The industry-leading, fully adjustable KYB® coil spring-type forks with speed sensitive damping receive updated settings, larger pistons and newly designed fork lugs / axle brackets to provide exceptional balance between handling and bump absorption for race-winning performance. The KYB® shock boasts new damping characteristics to match the new chassis as well as a new, lighter weight spring.  The reservoir has been increased 30cc to increase damping control during long motos.

Lighter wheels
Careful computer-aided refinement of the EXCEL rim’s cross-sectional profile shaves valuable unsprung weight without sacrificing durability, while more rigid wheel collars provide an improved feeling of contact to the ground when braking and a clear feeling of traction.

Yamaha and Workhorse Speed Shop Set Their Sights on Sultans of Sprint

Custom bike builder extraordinaire Brice Hennebert puts the Workhorse Speed Shop to the task of taking top honours in the Sultans of Sprint Factory class with their custom-built Yamaha XSR700

Yard Built custom bikes are usually made to inspire our customers; to make their XSR900, XSR700, XV950R or SCR950 unique. For this project, Yamaha is breaking the rules. This XSR isn’t a bike built for standing still, this is a bike that Brice built to be a sprint dominator. Low, long and fast as hell, the Workhorse Speed Shop have taken their Yamaha and pulled out all the stops. The engine to the chassis and every point in between has been tweaked, tuned, pulled to pieces and put back together to squeeze every bit of performance from one of custom buildings most versatile models

As a competition bike, there are obvious restrictions laid down about what can be changed and what lines a builder needs to work within. Brice still had room to manoeuvre. The fully handcrafted aluminium body cuts a mean silhouette in classic Yamaha blue and yellow, a tribute to the 1985 FZR 750 Bol d’Or Sonauto ridden by Christian Sarron. The frame has been dropped a full 150mm and the footpegs were shifted back. The custom-built Workhorse swingarm extends an extra 100mm and turns this beast into a low-down dragster.

The XSR700 will have the smallest engine of all the bikes in the Factory Class. But, we start the competition with a strong advantage, a very low weight and impressive torque. The crankshaft has been balanced, the oil circuit modified and the counterweights suppressed. With a Suter antihopping clutch and a modified injection body; this is a whole new powerhouse.

Amongst the high-end parts putting this build into the stratosphere are a carbon battery, a full racing brake system, clutch control, a front and rear master cylinder as well as a NOS system with a Max Extreme Nitrous Controller. The paintjob was supplied by Matthias Van Brussel and the seat and jacket mods are straight from the mind of Jeroen Bauwmeister from Silver Machine.

“What can I say about this bike?” commented Antoine Clémot, Yamaha Motor Europe Motorcycle Product Manager. “It’s fast, it’s low, it’s mean, it’s a lot of fun and we think it’s a winner. Events like the Sultans of Sprint really bring new vibes to the Sport Heritage segment with a subtle mix of fun and performance. We love to see these amazing bikes getting outside of static shows to race full throttle. They’re all about individual expression and making crazy designs and then getting together and sharing them. The Workhorse bike – it’s got that old-school Yamaha feel with the FZR750 Suzuka style body, it has bespoke everything and it just looks really unique. I’m excited to see what it does, but I’m already proud to be a part of the build.”

All that deliciousness is aimed directly at the Sultans of Sprint events running this year. Anyone with petrol in their veins should be aware of Sultans of Sprint but in case you still need to get caught up, here it is. Each year hundreds of like-minded madmen and madwomen get together to race real fast in a straight line. These are events revolving around fine design, speed and above all else, fun! If you’re lucky enough to attend an event you’ll see some outrageous designs put forward by passionate people.

The Workhorse XSR700 custom dragster will be piloted by a different guest rider for each event, with the first round featuring the legendary Niccolò Canepa, the first Italian rider to win an FIM Endurance World Championship title after lifting the 2016/2017 title in just his second season with the GMT94 Yamaha Official EWC Team. Yamaha Chase the Next Horizon on the Tenere 700 World Raid

Yamaha’s commitment to the adventure segment is as extensive as it is impressive. The first bike ever to win the Paris to Dakar Rally was the Yamaha XT500. Not only was it the first bike to win the Dakar Rally, it was the first vehicle to win it outright. Initially the rally had no separate car and motorcycle classes so the Yamaha machine was battling against rally tested giants such as Range Rovers and Renaults to pull off a spectacular Yamaha 1-2. After another Dakar win the following year on the XT500 Yamaha found stiff competition as more manufacturers saw the potential of the rally which lead to a return to the drawing board and eventually the XT 600 Ténéré. From there the Ténéré name became synonymous with adventure and over the decades Yamaha worked hard to make sure they produced machines that yearn for exploration.

This chapter of the Ténéré story began in November 2016 when Yamaha revealed the T7 concept and the Ténéré spark was reignited. The idea behind the concept was to remind the world that Yamaha are dedicated to the ideal of exploration and wanted to get a new terrain stomping model out into the wilds in the future. One year later a bold new design was revealed at EICMA, the Ténéré 700 World Raid. A prototype model which is being used to develop the final specification of the production model.

The Ténéré 700 World Raid prototype was designed with adventure in mind, the perfect machine on which to chase your dreams. The bike retains the rugged, rally bred character of the T7 concept bike but has been extensively developed over a year’s worth of intensive testing on the T7. The Ténéré 700 World Raid’s chassis is light in weight and slim, which is in sharp contrast to its competitors right now. This new approach to the adventure scene means the Ténéré 700 World Raid has incredible handling both on and off road. The compact 689cc twin cylinder provides a wide band of tractable power that’s easy to use and perfect for anything the roads or mountains can throw at you. Add to all this an expanded pilot area for navigation equipment, Dakar Rally inspired 4-project headlight assembly and tweaks to every part of the chassis; what you get is a bike ready for any condition, any terrain, any time.

Experiencing Adventure with the 2018 Ténéré 700 “World Raid”
The 2018 Ténéré 700 “World Raid” is an event that will put Yamaha’s most advanced adventure machine through its paces over every terrain imaginable, through all the conditions you could conceive and over incredible distances. This isn’t just about getting out there and showing the world what the Ténéré 700 World Raid is about, it’s about giving you the chance to see a machine engineered for achieving the impossible, realizing an adventurer’s dreams. The Ténéré 700 World Raid will be piloted by ambassadors who are some of the greatest names in off-road racing, true pioneers, ground breakers and visionaries. For those wanting to keep up on the tour, to live the dream along with the ambassadors and teams out there in the wilds, check out the dedicated website and make sure you follow us on all major social media channels using the #’s listed below.

Chasing the Next Horizon with the Ténéré Tragics
The 2018 Ténéré 700 World Raid kicked off in Australia, a land of wild weather, unique wildlife and danger around every corner… a dedicated explorer’s delight. The tour’s first ambassador, Yamalube Official Yamaha Rally Team rider Rodney Faggotter, has the local knowledge of this continent. Rodney has a decade long history riding Yamaha’s both for official teams and independently. He carries a weight of experience with him that’s hard to beat having battled the odds and elements to conquer the mighty Dakar Rally at the start of 2018. Rod hooked up with Australia’s own Ténéré Tragics, where they attended the Ténéré Tour, a specialist tour full of Ténéré bikes from throughout the years. The Ténéré Tragics are dedicated to the ideal of capturing the next horizon, a philosophy that runs deep in the Ténéré line. Finding the next horizon focuses the rider on always searching for the next step in their own never ending adventure.

Conquering the Dunes with Stephane Peterhansel
The second stage of the tour takes place in one of the world’s most inspirational locales for off-road adventure, the Moroccan desert. Deserts, plains, rocks and mountains abound in a landscape that screams adventure, mystery and intrigue. Follow the tour as it finds its way to Merzouga, a legendary location for its yearly rally, part of the Rally Raid calendar, but also as a part of the historic Paris to Dakar Rally. The Ténéré 700 World Raid picks up the perfect ambassador for the job, the living legend Stephane Peterhansel. Of the thirteen Dakar wins Peterhansel has racked up over his record breaking career, six of them have been on bikes from the Ténéré line. Join Peterhansel in his stomping ground, the place where he made history, and see what dreams can be made of.

Living the Dakar Dream with Adrien van Beveren
Stage three kicks off in Argentina with Adrien van Beveren taking up the reins as ambassador. Follow him as he heads back to attack the harsh conditions in South America, a place where legends are born and where the highest peaks carry the promise of great things. The Yamaha Racing star has racked up an outstanding three back to back wins at the legendary Enduropale du Touquet on his Yamaha YZ450F. On top of that he wowed the world with his first outing in the Dakar Rally netting a staggering 6th place overall as part of the Yamalube Yamaha Junior Rally Team. That performance earned him a place in the Yamalube Yamaha Official Rally Team where he stepped up again, this time taking 4th overall, finishing only 1 minute off a podium position. Adrien will be pushing the Ténéré 700 World Raid to its limits in the terrain that he came so close to victory over earlier in the year at the 2018 Dakar Rally.

Reaching New Heights with European Legends
For stage four, we dive into the largest part of the 2018 Ténéré 700 World Raid, the European stage. Nick Sanders, world famous bike explorer will be bringing his globetrotting adventure lifestyle to the experience. His company, Nick Sanders Adventures, is a cornerstone of the Destination Yamaha Motor platform and for good reason. In his career he has racked up numerous superhuman feats and set out to achieve the unachievable at every opportunity. From record breaking circumnavigations of the globe to long boating across the English Channel, Nick is an inspiration to dreamers everywhere.

David Frétigné joins the tour as ambassador and is ready to help those eager to learn, delve into the Ténéré life. David has had a long and successful career as a top flight Enduro racer and has brought home the French Enduro Championship title on multiple occasions with the Yamaha WR450F. He’s also a seasoned Dakar rider and has completed the 2015 Africa Eco Race on the XT1200Z Super Ténéré displaying his affinity with the Ténéré spirit, never waiting to chase the next horizon.

Touratech founder Herbert Schwarz has adventure in his veins and he’s dedicated his life to enabling other intrepid explorers in achieving their dreams. His first two items were a set of aluminum panniers and an illuminated motorcycle computer that Schwarz created for his own travels on all continents and from there, the new adventure segment was born. Herbert Schwarz has developed adventure equipment for almost three decades now and represents everything the Ténéré Spirit is about. Joining the 2018 Ténéré 700 World Raid as ambassador, Herbert Schwarz will be putting over 850,000km of worldwide adventure experience to good use.

Cristóbal Guerrero has enjoyed great success in Enduro, winning the Spanish Enduro Championship four years in a row aboard Yamaha machines as well as placing solidly in the top six for years for Yamaha on the world stage. His experience in off road will be essential on the 2018 Ténéré 700 World Raid.

Alessandro Botturi takes the lead on the Italian leg. Botturi is a legend in the Enduro scene, competing in twelve seasons of the world championship and winning nine Italian Enduro Championship titles as well as two ISDE wins as part of Team Italy. He made the move to Yamaha and secured a win at the 2015 Merzouga Rally as well as three Dakar Rally entries aboard his Yamaha WR450F. The Italian leg of the tour marks the end of the adventure and Botturi and the 2018 Ténéré 700 World Raid crew will be taking you on an odyssey through the mountains at the Hard Alpi Tour. A weekend’s worth of whipping around the alps most spectacular trails both on road and off, high above the clouds and amongst snowy peaks. What better way to finish the tale?

Yamaha Launches Official Riding Schools

Yamaha’s rich history of Grand Prix competition spans six decades, and continues today with our awe-inspiring YZR-M1 Factory MotoGP bikes which gives Yamaha the ability, knowledge and determination to create exceptional machines like the YZF-R1M, YZF-R1, YZF-R6, YZF-R3, and YZF-R125.

The limited edition YZF-R1M has quickly established itself as the ultimate YZF-R Series model, and today it is widely regarded as being one of the most advanced and capable track day bikes. The YZF-R1’s own track record speaks for itself, with an Endurance World Championship title in 2017, a record breaking hat trick of victories at the prestigious Suzuka 8 Hours, as well as 2017 Le Mans and Bol d’Or 24 Hours race wins to its credit. The YZF-R6 blew away the 600cc Supersport segment on its launch, and won the 2017 FIM Supersport World Championship in its first year of competition. And the YZF-R3 and YZF-R125 are currently allowing younger riders to get their first taste of supersport racing and success in various Cups held around Europe.

In R World, every YZF supersport model can trace its lineage straight back to our MotoGP-winning YZR-M1 race bike.

And now, Yamaha also gives customers the opportunity to learn how to use these machines to further sharpen their track riding skills by providing one more avenue for customers to Enter R World – Official Riding Schools in Europe. These schools are aimed at customers who wish to improve their track riding skills – to become faster and safer – by getting the most out of their Yamaha supersport bike.

Each riding school is guaranteed to grant customers the knowledge needed to ride Yamaha supersport machines like a born racer. From finding the apex to understanding the bike inside and out, a Yamaha Official Riding School is the best place to engage with and learn from the highest quality Yamaha recognized racing tutors. Various courses are offered and each course is specifically tailored to work with Yamaha supersport bikes. Customers will be taught both on and off the bike and every bit of knowledge gained can then be put to test on the racetrack under the watchful eyes of certified instructors. Depending on location, Yamaha supersport machines can also be rented in case a customer wishes to do so.

Yamaha Official Riding Schools can already be found in France, Italy and Spain with more schools in other countries planned to open in the coming months.

Yamaha Sees Triple with Auto Fabrica’s Type 11 Yard Built Project

Auto Fabrica is one of the UK’s most exciting custom builders, bringing cutting edge design to classic style. Yamaha contacted them knowing they’d craft something unique without sacrificing the energy beneath. As a Sports Heritage cornerstone, the XSR900, was chosen as the base for its extensive customisation capabilities, as well as the proven power of its 847cc three cylinder power plant.

Auto Fabrica co-founders Bujar and Gaz Muharremi linked up with designer and close friend Toby Mellor to lay down the blueprints for the Type 11 Prototype One. This design focused on blurring the lines between classic style and modern surface language. The team decided this would be a track machine so they wouldn’t be held back by the regulations for day to day road use.

The Story Begins with the Prototype One

The Prototype One was race ready down to the smallest detail and oozed raw power. Custom Öhlins suspension, Brembo calipers, specialist PFM brake discs and BST Carbon Wheels provide stunning handling. Carbon-nylon 3D printed, CAD designed elements combined with a hand laid carbon fibre elements and featuring Zirotek coatings were specially selected and designed to fit harmoniously with the traditionally made, radically styled, handmade wrap over aluminum body. A flush fitting dial, contrasting seat unit, quick fill race tank and handmade sand bent, 3-into-3 exhaust topped it all off.

The Tale Develops as the Prototype Three Emerges

It quickly became clear that this bike was only the beginning of the story. They wanted something with the same DNA that they could take on the road. The Prototype Three took shape, this time using a true legend as the base; the Yamaha XS750. With the style of the 70s, the XS750 fitted with the Auto Fabrica love of modern design on classic lines. Performance parts added the power and the team brought the historic machine into the future. Brembo calipers and a Motogadget Speedo mix with flowing lines, created using traditional panel beating techniques and hand forming. All these blended with creative interpretations of classic designs, like the 3D printed velocity stacks and bespoke headlight structures. The signature sand bent exhaust marked the creation as unmistakably Auto Fabrica.

A Legend is Born in the Prototype Two

After the Prototype One and Prototype Three, there was only one place to go. The Type 11 Prototype Two took everything from the first two builds and combined it into a road going machine. The Prototype Two was built on the Yamaha XSR900 base and takes its performance direction from the Prototype One, while the Prototype Three shines through in the aesthetics. High quality, bespoke, blended collections of design philosophies and techniques give the Prototype Two it’s powerful visage. A round headlight, conventional fuelling, trimmed seats, indicators, road tires and matching metallic silver paint finish tie the Prototype Two to the classic style of the Prototype Three.

“Seeing this project evolve has been something really special for all of us,” commented Antoin Clémot, Yamaha Motor Europe Motorcycle Product Manager. “This went from a beautiful idea with a great bike to three incredible creations that speak to everything Yamaha’s Yard Built platform represents. That the Prototype Two is going to find its way into enthusiasts hands is thrilling as well. So often these are one off pieces and knowing that this bike will be ridden out there in the real world, by people with a love for unique design, is something we can all get a kick out of.”

Yamaha Motor Europe and Auto Fabrica will be holding an open event this weekend from 10am to 8pm, Friday 20th and Saturday 21st, at Iris Studios in London to launch the machine and give the press and public a chance to experience the bike. The Prototype Two will be supplied in a strictly limited run, sold as the Auto Fabrica Type 11 and tailored to order with the first deliveries expected between Summer and Autumn 2018.
